Restoring original internet settings on 8520??HELP!!

im hoping this will make my problem come across easier, I think the problem im having connecting to the bbm and facebook etc on my phone through wifi is that after id been using them fine while connected to wifi, i had blackberry settings sent to me via vodafone. Now im looking to go back to bein able to connect through wifi as someone else is using the phone, so would i have to restore the original setting and if so how do it do it??

You have a BlackBerry Data Plan correct? You don't have a Personal Email Setup Icon n your device? Try to reregister the device by going to Options | Advanced Options | Host Routing Table. In this screen hit the menu button and choose Register Now. Afterwards see if you receive a registration message. If so try to remove the battery from your device for 15 seconds and replace it. After the device reboots see if the choice is on your device. Or you can log onto your carrier's BIS site and make sure the email accounts are still setup correctly.

After I restore the original factory settings on my phone it never came to life again. I can't do anything even if I try to press the restart button NOTHING is responding. Please Nokia help us on this I already convinced most of friends to get this phone now I'm feeling a bit embarrassed that they will experience such things.

Try removing your battery for a few minutes. After putting it back, press and hold the power button for about 5 seconds.
If it still does not switch on, take your phone to your nearest Nokia service center to have it looked at.

Why does my Iphone constantly make me restore original factory settings?

I turn on my phone; it says to connect to iTunes to restore factory settings; I do this (takes a long time)..have to then re-load all apps. Phone works for a few hours; then I get same message saying to connect to iTunes to resore factory settings. Have done this 6 times within last 48 hours. What's going on???

Sometimes, data corruption or other issues are revealed by an update.
If the information was important, why didn't you have it backed up?

Try a reset: hold down the home button along with the power button until you see the Apple, then let go.

Hello, I recently was sent a replacement iPhone 4 from apple. I originally had it assigned to a laptop with an older version of iTunes and everything worked fine. I recently purchased a new laptop and assigned the new laptop to my phone with the newest version of iTunes. Now everytime I hook up my phone to my new laptop I get the same error message. Did you try following the instruction to restore? You are getting that message for a good reason - there is corrupted or altered data/settings on the phone. Is this phone jailbroken or hacked?

I have noticed a few others with the same problem the past couple of weeks. Many of them were able to resolve the issue by doing a low level reformat of the iPod's flash storage using the instructions in this article.

Help with Internet Settings for Blackberry Curve 8520 On Orange Pay-Monthly

I need help with my internet settings I'm currently on Orange Pay-Monthly and have recently bought a second hand Blackberry Curve 8520 which is unlocked but used to be on 02! I don't have a clue on what to do or where to start all I know is in the top right hand corner where the signal bar is it says GPRS and WIFI ! I don't want WIFI as I don't have a wireless connection and would like to get the settings for my curve so I can browse the internet and go on Facebook etc and BBM!! I've clicked on the internet logo in the menu bar but it just say's hotspot browser.. but wont let me browse!! Some one please help me !!

Need Help to Restore computer to original factory settings

Hello. I need to reset my Sony VAIO to its original factory settings and have the memory cleared so i may give this computer to someone else. I dont want to do a system restore to a point in time, but revert the whole desktop to its original settings. Setup as new (Factory Default)
Settings>General>Reset>Erase all content and settings
Note: if iPad still crash after setting up as new, it's time to make appointment with Apple.

I cannot get help from Apple support because i am being asked to supply the serial number which is stored on the phone and I cannot restore my data in the first place. I am reluctant to "Set up as a new Iphone" since I don't know whether if I do I may not then be able to access my data from Itunes...

If you resintall iTunes, it should fix the issue. The following document will go over how to remove iTunes fully and then reinstall. Depending on what version of Windows you're running you'll either follow the directions here:

I have an iphone 2G with 2.2 firmware, While i was trying to load some songs using itunes, suddenly a msg pops up saying itunes is not able to recognise the iphone.
It asks me to restore my iphone to factory settings. However, i have some unanswered questions bugging me..

->what actually are affected by restoring to factory settings [apart from songs, contacts, calender, photos]
->do i need to configure my service provider information, etc again.

If you have already installed firmware update 2.2 with iTunes on this computer and the 2.2 download has not been deleted from your computer, an internet connection is not required to re-install 2.2 - which is what a restore with iTunes does, but an internet connection will be required to complete the installation process. A carrier locked iPhone is checked with the designated provider to confirm the iPhone is activated with the designated provider.

When doing a restore, your iPhone will be completely erased followed by the current firmware version being re-installed. If your iPhone was sold as carrier locked, your iPhone needs an internet connection to verifyAfter 2.2 is re-installed, you will be prompted to restore your iPhone from your iPhone's backup, which is created and maintained by iTunes as the first step during the sync process. The backup includes data such as most iPhone settings, email account settings, contact info, SMS messages, notes, recent calls, call favorites, photos in the Camera Roll, and 3rd party app settings and data created and stored by a 3rd party app acquired from the iTunes app store. This must be followed by a sync to transfer all data not included with your iPhone's backup, such as all iTunes content and photos transferred from your computer to your iPhone.
Contact info, calendar events, and Safari bookmarks are designed to be synced with a supported application on your computer. For contact info and calendar events with Windows, this can be with Outlook 2003 or 2007. For contact info only, with the address book used by Outlook Express with XP or by Windows Mail with Vista - the name change for OE with Vista.
Photos in your iPhone's Camera Roll should be imported by your computer as with any other digital camera. Although photos in your iPhone's Camera Roll are included with your iPhone's backup, it isn't a good idea to depend on your iPhone's backup alone for these photos.

Whatever is was you did when you first activated your iPhone will likely be required again.

It doesn't sound like it. If you have tried an iPhone reset with no change, which is done by pressing and holding the home button and the sleep/wake or on/off button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo and then release - ignoring the slide to turn off prompt when doing so, you have no other option. Reformatting and re-installing software on your PC will not affect an error with your iPhone.

I have had a similar problem recently and followed advice here. Specifically, I used the brute force approach. As suggested by this site, I strongly urge you to backup your mailbox before trying this fix - just to be on the safe side.

Daughter IPOD Touch 4th lost all music from itunes, Itunes suggested to restore to factory settings. Have done so last few days, all showing 20 hours to restore then times out and starts back to 20 hours again. Will not sync at all. HELP

IPOD TOUCH(4th gen) MUSIC DISPLAY has wiped out all my music. The music I have is all still on ITUNES but will NOT SYNC. When attempted a displayes message appeared- Cannot read contents of IPOD (my IPOD name), go to Summary tab to Restore to factory settings. When I click OK it takes me to a CLICK on RESTORE OPTION, which I did. Then it explains that I will lose all APPS, etc.. to restore. I clicked OK again and it shows my IPOD is Downloading Software Update. The only thing being it has done this for 3 days now. It starts by stating will take 20 hours, goes down to 12 or 10 and prompts OUT and when I redo the thing again it starts back up at 20 hours but continually times out. *Also, in case it matters ,the SYNC option on my IPOD in ITUNES is Highlighted as to where I cannot use that option. Everytime I start it back up I get the same message (Cannot read contents of IPOD, go to Summary Tab,etc..) Help.

I restored my ipod to original factory settings, now it won't work

After restoring my ipod to original factory settings (to solve a problem of some of my songs that wouldn't play) I tried to put all of the songs on itunes back onto my ipod. Now, itunes is giving me this message saying it can't read my ipod and that I should restore it again. I can't restore it again becuase my itunes won't acknowledge that my ipod is plugged in or anything. Is there another way to restore it?

Is this the error message that you see?
"Disk cannot be read from or written to" error syncing iPod in iTunes.
If nothing else works, you could try a format of the iPod in Windows. A full format does a check and remap of bad sectors on the iPod hard drive, and you would need to restore the iPod as normal (using the iPod updater) afterward. This can also work when the iPod is recognized by the computer, but not by the updater. It's usually a last ditch troubleshooting effort.
First, put the iPod into forced disk mode.
See: How to put the iPod into disk mode.
On your PC, go "my computer" and right click on the iPod, then choose "format". Ensure the settings are at "default" and that "quick format" is not checked. Now select "format". It will take a while, but when that's finished, restore the iPod using the updater.
If you need to, reset the iPod to exit disk mode.
