Did you mean that Windows firewall on the Azure VM or the firewall on your local computer?
If you mean the firewall on the Azure VM, please use Azure PowerShell cmdlet below to check if VM agent is install on the Windows Azure VM or not:
(Get-AzureVM -ServiceName xxx -Name xxx).VM.ProvisionGuestAgent
note: -Servicename is the name of the cloud service the VM belongs to, -Name is the host name of the VM.
If it returns "true", it means that VM agent is installed and you can use the Azure PowerShell cmdlet below to enable RDP and the necessary Windows firewall rule:
Get-AzureVM -ServiceName xxx -Name xxx | Set-AzureVMAccessExtension | Update-AzureVM
If you mean the firewall on your local computer, then please enable RDP and the related RDP ports for the Azure VMs on your local network.

i just got new iphone 4 but it tells me to restore the phone wen i plug in my computer.. then half way thru the restoring on the "firmwear" part it stops an says error "9?? wats the go there?? its driving me insane...
Let's first define what "new" means. Was it purchased from Apple or your authorized carrier, and it came in a shrink wrapped box? Or is it only new to you, and you don't know its history?
Assuming it truly is a new, never used phone, Error 9 means that the USB connection to the phone is intermittent. Do the following:
Make sure you have the latest version of iTunes (10.4) - if not, download and install it from htp://www.apple.com/itunes
Reboot your computer
Disable your antivirus and firewall software
Disconnect all USB devices except keyboard and mouse
Connect the cable to a USB port directly on your computer, not to a hub; do not connect the other end to the phone yet (If your computer is a desktop or tower and has ports on both front and back us a port on the back)
Launch iTunes
Connect the phone to the other end of the cable
If the phone is recognized in iTunes proceed with the Restore
If the phone is NOT recognized by iTunes:
Disconnect the cable from the phone (leave connected to the computer)
Hold the HOME and SLEEP buttons until the screen goes blank, then IMMEDIATELY release the SLEEP button but continue holding the HOME button
Connect the cable to the phone while holding the HOME button
Wait for iTunes to recognize the phone, then release the HOME button (this may take several minutes of holding)
If you still have a problem after these steps take the phone to Apple for exchange. -

a few days (after a system restore )the firefox 15.0.1 chrashing and freezing every time i open it.in a safe mode i dont have any problem ,but i cant find if blame any addon or anything else.im unistalling and reinstall the update or older version(14 ,15.0)but the problem remain.what can i do?i have win 7 ultimate
If the problems arose after a restore from a Windows restore point you may need to resort to reinstalling Firefox, as sometimes Windows restores have been known to break Firefox.
Security software including Firewalls is another problem that can slow Firefox or cause it not to work. You need to ensure the security software recognises the current version of Firefox (Again I wonder if a Windows restore may have affected this also.)

Apparently you say there is no problem in Safe Mode, if so try Firefox with Hardware Acceleration off, if that helps then instead of leaving it off look at your graphics drivers.

my Iphone 3GS seems to be stuck on restoring the software for 2 hours now. The indicator on the screen has not moved. Should I give it more time, or should I unplug it & start over?
I didn't know you have an MBP. It doesn't have antivirus unless you added it, and the firewall is off by default. And iTunes on a Mac knows how to get around it. It's beginning to look like a hardware problem. Do you have another computer you can try to restore it with? Or an Apple store where you can make a genius appointment?
Do you have the latest version of iTunes (10.4). If you don't you should get a warning, so you probably do, but worth checking. You can try reinstalling iTunes; as it's a Mac you can just download and install over the old one.
What version of OS X? You need at least 10.5.4.
I asked about TinyUmbrella, but let's check anyway. Using textedit, open the file /etc/hosts. You may have to enter the file name directly, as it's hidden and you may not be able to browse to it. It should look like this:

If it has any other lines, especially lines that contains gs.apple.com, delete those lines and save the file. The Update should then work. I doubt that this is the problem, but we've tried all of the standard ways to fix it. -
My ipad 2 showed a screen that was suggesting that I should connect to itunes. I did. iTunes now says that I need to do a system restore. I tired three times. Each time it stops after 10 minutes and says that there is an error #9.
I don't know how to restore and I can't even access my icloud to restore the ipad... What is this error and is it a XP issue with iTunes?

GreenwobTry turning off your firewall and virus protection while you are restoring. Turn them back on when done.

I cannot open Adobe photoshop CS2 which I was using 10 days ago. Can I restore the system to before 10 days, so it will work again?

How do I restore the white sync button on iPhone 4s?
Last night I was attempting to add a Kindle book to my iPhone via the sync method. Something has gotten corrupted, as my iPhone no longer shows the white sync button option, under the iTunes /wifi option in settings. When I open iTunes, it sees the iphone. If I try and drag a file to the iPhone, the item bar is transparent and doesn't allow the action. I restored the phone, but to no avail. I no longer have the ability to manually sync my phone by pressing the white sync now button, that was previously showing on the phone. Any suggestions on how to fix this problem?

Backing Up and Restoring the PlayBook
Ok, I've been playing around with Backing Up, Wiping, then Restoring the PlayBook and things don't seem to be functioning as smoothly as I would assume they should. My primary concern is that the data from the Contacts and Calendar programs are not getting restored and the setup information for any Email Accounts is also lost. The data from two third party Apps: Groovy Notes and The Vault is being restored no problem.
ADDED NOTE: The Stock Wallpapers and HD Video Demo have also gone missing.
THE PARTICULARS:
- On a Windows 7 Pro box running BlackBerry Desktop 7.1
- 64 GB Wifi PlayBook running OS 2.0.1.668
- Options set to FULL BACKUP (nothing else)
- using a USB cable and connection
Other behavior that might, or might not be related:
- I did a switch device from 64 GB Wifi to 4G LTE model and the same data was missing
- the BB Desktop 7.1 software can't seem to accommodate more then one PlayBook at a time, meaning that if I Sync or backup one tablet, then attaching the other tablet via the USB cable will cause the device listing of the previous tablet to disappear. It's like it won't allow me to have more then one tablet as a listed device.

What I'm thinking is that the desktop software is designed more for BB phones and that there is such a difference in the Contacts and Calendar apps from the phone to the PlayBook (the PlayBooks apps being much more complex and interconnected) that the Desktop isn't equipped to properly backup the PlayBook, so it doesn't. If this is the case, then they should:
1) let people know, because many may think they have a nice safe backup of what could potentially be a very large and valuable chunk of data, when they actually don't.
2) Get working on an update of their Desktop software that properly handles the PlayBook - which they probably are, I would hope.
But all of this is just conjecture on my part, since nobody has responded to my query yet, other then you that is.

We are running iPlanet 5.2 Messaging Server and need to migrate to another (duplicate) 5.2 Messaging Server. We have all the software installed and the LDAP user accounts created. Now we just need to move the existing mail from one server to the other.
I found the Backing Up and Restoring the Message Store section in the Admin Guide says to back up and restore your data, Messaging Server provides the imsbackup and imsrestore utilities.
However I am wondering about the Queue?
Under <instance>/imta/queue
What is the difference between the Message Store
and the Queue? Can I just backup and restore the Queue using tar or cpio?

The queue is where messages are temporarily stored, pending delivery to wherever they go.
You can use tar, cpio, or what have you for the queue. Stop the server first. . .
You then just restore the files to the new server. No need to restart or anything like that. Just dump the files in, and run
imsimta cache -sync
to tell the MTA to re-read the queue.
Can I just backup and restore the
Queue using tar or cpio?

How do I restore the "close tab" button to the END of the tab bar, WITHOUT USING AN ADDON
Up until FF31, I used to have the following setting configured which moved the little 'X' button that closed tabs off of the tabs themselvs and onto the far right of the tab bar.

No, this no longer works. It has still moved the close buttons back to the tab buttons. Until I can figure out how to fix this, I will be moving back to a previous version. I can't for the life of me see why this feature was removed, other than Mozilla's seemingly arrogant insistence that it knows what people want better than they do.
I was since told by someone that I can use an addon to fix it, yet the problem is THEY DO NOT WORK. The addons that supposedly solve this all have intermittent failures where they don't load correctly, leave random dead tabs open, and in one case it even seemed to open new tabs when I tried to close one.
It's absolutely inexcusable that the dev team is so arrogant to take away a feature that has fundamentally no impact on the rest of the browser, other than, as I said before, they THINK they know what we want better than we do. It's no small wonder that FF is losing market share. The only thing keeping me on board was really this function, as I prefer this layout, and if it's gone, I see no reason to stick with FF over others.unfortunately it is not possible to restore the close button to have only one (customizable) close button on the Tab bar without using an extension.
The extension is necessary because you need to create a new toolbar button and bind the proper code to it to make the button act as a tab close button (command: BrowserCloseTabOrWindow()).

I changed my LCD last day and now i noticed all my pictures on my phone are gone. I tried to restore the back that I got yesterday but it wont let me because its telling me there is not enough space on my phone!!! That's wierd because I didn't download any app or anything else since my last backup and on the other hand about 3000 pictures are gone, how come there is not enough space left! I also check my usage on my phone and it shows that i have about 7.0 GB pictures!!! BUT my photos is empty! I want my picture back on my phone any solution anyone?

Hallo , my question is ;whenever I delete a photo and restore it through Time machine and Western digital external hard drive , I am able to restore the photo but not the titles and descriptions . Western Digital inform me that it isn't their external hard drive problem and suggest that it is an Apple software problem ?
I am using a Macbook 4.1 , with Mac OSX 10.5.8 . I photo 7.1.5 , last modifie4d 01/05/2010 -universal . Should I be upgrading Iphoto ?

I am not quite ready to restore the full iphoto library , as I have days of work re - imputting titles,descriptions and enhancement . I hope that your suggestion works , as I use my Macbook basically to work with digital photography. Through time , I will need to delete my library to recover more disc space and I would hate to have to spend more time re - imputting titles and descriptions all over again .
