Restrict additional IP addresses - Homehub 3

On other routers I have used, mostly Netgear, it is possible to set up an access list of fixed IP addresses for devices that connect, they get the same IP address each time. This is also possible on the Homehub. However on Netgear Routers it is then possible to tell the router not to grant any additional IP addresses to new devices trying to connect. Is this posible on the Homehub?
I guess, I could give all my devices consecutive addresses and the restrict the IP address range to that number of devices - sounds like a bit of a hack.

Yes, true, but they would have to be a bit savvy. I think that restricting the IP address range should stop the casual visitor getting on - like friends of the kids who connect up phones and ipads and start downloading or file sharing.
Don't underestimate kids, they can be way more savvy than adults these days.
Well, at least way more savvy than the adult/s in BT that originally specified that the Homehub would not have this security feature ...and would always broadcast SSID ...and would be delivered with passwords printed on the hub ...etc. Will need to find out about getting another router I guess.

Why can't I add additional email addresses to my Apple ID?

In my family we share the same Apple ID.
However, we would like to be able to use iMessage and Facetime amongst the different units (iPhones/iPads), which requires me to have several email addresses registered under the Apple ID, as all units (ie. the iPads) do not have associated phone numbers.
However, when I add them directly under Settings -> Facetime/iMessage -> Add Another Email it gives me an error (unspecified - it just says an error occured), when it tries to verify my email.
I then figured that I needed to have all these different email addresses registered to my Apple ID we all are using. Hence I went to appleid.apple.com and signed in to manage my Apple ID. I tried adding additional email addresses under "Add Email Address". But when I push "Save Changes" after having added another email address nothing happens. It just sits there.
I have tried several different browsers on different Macs and even on the iPad, but all with the same result.
Can anybody help?

I was able to get my MobileMe email address verified tonight... I logged into the Manage Apple ID website with my MobileMe email address and it again said it's own email address wasn't Verified. So I tried, for the **** of it, to add an additional Alternate Email Address and added the MobileMe email address for which I was logged in as. It immediately took the email and marked it verified with the green check mark. The only thing, my MobileMe.com email address shows up as the Primary and then again listed under the Alternates. I tried deleting the one listed under the alternate but it doesn't go away. I'm just trilled it's now verified and I can log in and use my MobileMe email address in the iMessage, FaceTime and Find My Friends services!
I still cannot, however, delete my MobileMe email address that's still listed as an un-Verified alternate on my old iTunes Apple ID, but it's not affecting the fact that my MobileMe email address is NOW verified on my MobileMe Apple ID!
So all is finally working now, after a week, and after being on Apple's Express Lane Chat and to the store's Genius Bar on Thursday 10/20 which were both a joke.

Add Additional IP Addresses to WAN Interface on SRP527W

Hi,
Can anyone tell me how to add an additional IP addresses to the WAN interface on a SRP527W.
We are connecting to an ISP which assigns us a static IP address with our ADSL account. We also have another 2 additional WAN IP addresses that we have purchased from out ISP and wish to add them as Aliases to the WAN interface and use for other services. I would also like to use those additional IP addresses to create port forwards to our internal network.
I cannot find how to do this in the manual any where and any help would be much appreciated.

Restricting the partner address change in both VA01 & VA02

Hi All,
In Sales Order Creation / Change i need to make the partner address fields editable but want a restriction on save.
For that i am doing the following:

This is possible by restricting the update comparing YVBPA & XVBPA table using parameter UPDKZ.
Create:
In the create scenario YVBPA table remains empty.Are there any other tables I should look at to restrict this address data change?
However, there is a table XVBADR , changes to which do not influence the final display address.
Alternatively , do we have an alternative approach to restrict the partner address change in both VA01 & VA02?

Additional IP Address on CNO - what are the gotchas?

Hi All,
Scenario: two node 2013SP1 DAG in single site with three NICs: MAPI, Replication and Backup Networks.
Obviously the backup network is currently disabled for cluster usage. The backup team has requested an administrative access point on the backup network.
My concerns: if I add an additional IP address to the CNO on that network, will this interfere with the cluster functionality? The backup subnet is not included in any AD site configuration. Should I define the backup network as an additional MAPI network
and add the subnet to the AD site? Will the cluster service even activate this address, or just treat it as a multi-site setup?
Or am I overthinking this and adding an additional IP address in a different subnet will have no effect?
How are others handling this situation (third party Backup application that requires an administrative access point)?

I have 1000 DLs and each DL has around 5 existing email addresses. I want to add 6th one now to all 1000 DLs. Is there any way to add additional email address without overwriting existing ones? The command below is deleting existing email addresses

Adding additional email addresses to From field

In the default iOS Mail app, how can I add additional email addresses to the "From" field? It only allows me to select accounts which are set up on the phone. However I have one email account which forwards to another, but I want to respond to those messages using the original address it was sent to.

Once a ePrint job had been submitted from each of the email addresses I added in the Allowed Senders Only list, all emails showed up on the ePrint Settings list. Works fine.

I created a custom security extension following the steps listed in the Readme_Security Extension Sample. It works fine if I login as the user that is specified AdminConfiguration section of the rsreportserver.config file but if I
log in as another user, I get this error: User '' does not have required permissions. Verify that sufficient permissions have been granted and Windows User Account Control (UAC) restrictions have been addressed. I've added the user to both System Administrator
and System User roles to try to get it to work but still no luck.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

The issue is due to that user have no permission to access the report server. In report manager, Reporting Services includes predefined roles that we can assign to users and groups to provide immediate access to a report server. Each role defines a collection
of related tasks.
You can refer to the following steps to assign corresponding role to the user.
Open report manager.
Click “Folder Setting” button.
Click “New Role Assignment” icon.
Type the user name and select the corresponding role.

Assigning/restricting certain IP address to coldfusion server

I have coldfusion 9 server on my development server. but when i try to log in to the website on the dev server a licensing error shows up saying the IP address is disallowed. can anyone tell me how to assign the IP address that needs to have access to the CF server?

As Adam said. Yes that is exactly how the free developer's edition works. With the addition that the local loop back url (127.0.0.1 aka localhost) never counts towards the two IP limit.
I also wanted to add, if you get a new license for a CF 9 ColdFusion server, the EULA allows that license to also be used for development, staging, QA and cold backup servers. Thus that licensed development server WILL NOT have the IP restrictions.

Restrict certain IP addresses for establishing IPSec

Is it possible on Cisco ASA 55xx to restrict (to filter) certain public IP addresses which would be THE ONLY addresses able to establish Remote Access IPSec VPN using Cisco VPN client? Let's assume that Cisco VPN client establishes VPN connection from fix public IP address (always the same).
So, I am not talking about ACL actions on VPN traffic. I'm asking about establishing IPSec tunnel and preventing some public IPs of even trying that.

Only by using aliases. They won't be separate email accounts - just addresses that point to your existing account.

Can childrens apple id have an additional email address on their account?

I am considering creating a childrens apple id for my child in order for them to use family sharing. They currently use a non iCloud email address so if a childrens account can only be created with a new icloud address would they be able to add their usual email address to their account as an additional/alternative email address as is possible in accounts for 'adults'?
