Restrict "Create Purchase Order" Authorization using vendor number "LIFNR"

How can we restrict the creation of purchase order(ME21N) using the vendor number (LIFNR).
Any helpful idea?

    Hi Manish,
    I am not sure if I am right, but I remember something about a bug in SBO SDK that gave an error when trying create draft object. Not sure on which patch this was though and am not sure if this is your problem too. Maybe someone else can remember what patch it was on?

  • Create purchase order from purchse requisition number

    Hi guru's,
    I have a requirement that when ever i m creating the sales order through va01 and when i will click on save button it has to create an automatic PO from the PR number which will be there in the order. Functional consultant saying that he creates an output type and configured it in nace by assiging one driver program and he is giving the transmissionmedia as 8(Which is nothing but special function) for the output.....he is saying when ever i click on save button that driver program has to be triggered and need to generate PO.
    how i can implement this one....

    i vonfigured all d details.but my print program is not triggering when i m pressing the save button in va01.
    but it is triggering when i run the program rsnast00 by giving the output type..
    please help me any one.....how the transmission media number 8(means special function) will work....

    Try this. A simple sample Smart Form.
    SAP Smartforms can be used for creating and maintaining forms for mass printing in SAP Systems. The output medium for Smartforms support printer, fax, e-mail, or the Internet (by using the generated XML output).
    According to SAP, you need neither have any programming knowledge nor use a Script language to adapt standard forms. However, basic ABAP programming skills are required only in special cases (for example, to call a function module you created or for complex and extensive conditions).

    &#61656; Open a smartform using the tcode ‘smartforms’.

    &#61656; In the form interface declare import/export parameters if any. Else declare the tables in tables tab button.
    &#61656; In the windows and pages expand and create a table. It automatically generates header, main area and footer for the table.
    &#61656; In data tab button in the table we usually declare a work area to bring the data from se38. Like: ktab into wa. ( The purpose of declaring the wa is , to get the data of the ktab in to header from the body area of the internal table).
    &#61656; And in the tablepainter pushbutton in table we can have any no of line types. Depending on the requirement. ( for ex: If we want to devide a row in to 4 columns, we can devide it as 4,4,4,4cm as line type 1, And usually for the footer we don’t need no of columns, So, we declare it as one column with 16cm measure with the name line type 2.). We can use these line types in the tables.
    &#61656; In the header right click>>create>>tableline. It asks for line type. Select one line type which is appropriate.
    &#61656; Like same create a row2 in main area using right click. If we select the line type 1, it automatically generates 4 cells. We can create text in each cell as per requirement.
    &#61656; We can generate general attributes using general attributes tab button in the text. Or in the other way. We can switch on the field list on/off button from the application tool bar. It displays all the attributes in the left down corner of the screen. We can drag and drop the required fields in the general attributes tab button of the text.
    &#61656; We continue the same procedure for all the texts. The texts should be displayed in the gray color. Then only it can collects the data from the abap editor fields.
    &#61656; If it wont turns gray, we can check the fields in the editor by changing it to the line editor. The best thing is to drag the fields from the list, rather than declaring like &wa-matnr&

    In the method I we are calling the amartform dynamically using the function module 'SSF_FUNCTION_MODULE_NAME'.
    Here we are exporting form name and importing fm_name.
    So we need to declare the variable fm_name as

    We can have the type of the fm_name in the function module 'SSF_FUNCTION_MODULE_NAME' (in the export tab button).
    Since we are passin the name of the Function module generated by the smart form in to the fm_name variable. We run the function module with the name fm_name, but not the FM generated by the smartform(like /1BCDWB/SF00000199)¬¬¬¬¬¬.
    In the method II we directly call the smartform generated function module (i.e, /1BCDWB/SF00000199).
    But the method I is recommended. In the method I, The fm_name is a variable we don’t put it in the quotes while calling.
    In the both methods we declare the internal table using the like option, but not begin of…. end of. And in select statement we select *, But not individual fields.

  • Issue while creating Purchase order (ME21N)

    Hi Friends,
    Hope U Have a Good Day...
    My issue is while creating purchase order , I enter vendor and in org.data tab I enter Pur.Org,company code and purchase group. After entering these values if I check in communication tab, the sales person and telephone fields are filled with corresponding data.
    Now my requirement is after entering Pur.Org, Company code and purchase group, and if I go and check in Communication tab, these two fields ( sales person, telephone ) should be blank.
    Please help me in this issue...

    This is being fetched frm the vendor master and if u wan this field to be blank
    Then u hav to remove those data frm the vendor master .
    Put tat vendor, comp code n purchase org
    Then select pur org data alon - >chk in purch data
    u can find tat sales person n telp no being appeared in the PO
    lemme know if u hav any prob in getting tat .

  • Could you restrict purchase orders based upon Vendor / Material Group?

    Hey everyone - I've got a general "could this be done" kind of question. 
    We would like to add on to the vendor purchasing view to include "valid" material groups.  This would then have what material groups could be purchased for which company code for that vendor.  Then in the purchase order creation / modification we would like to be able to validate this purchase order against this vendor / company code / material group combination.
    Obviously with enough custom code this could be done.  My question is whether it could be done without out introducing too much custom code - how would you construct such a solution to this problem?
    We are a SAP 4.7 shop.

    By include "valid" material groups i think it means you are introducing a new field or some value in already existing field in vendor master.
    1) Now to restrict PO based upon material group a small custom code is needed.
        Use BAdI ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST....here write a code with help of your ABAP person that system will first select the 
        LIFNR (vendor code) entered in the PO...then it will check the same LIFNR in LFM1 table...here it will check the material
        group in the customized field & if found that it is within the list of previous listed material group then it will allow to process
        further or otherwise give a customized error message.
    or
    2) Use the field Group in OMSF...here maintain a common group against the material groups you want to do the purchase cycle.Now ask your BASIS person to use this group in carry out a specific activity, the user must have authorization for the combination of the activity and the authorization group.

    Using OMET Function Authorization, you can restrict users to create Purchase orders without Purchase Reqn.
    Using OMET trxn code Create one Function Authorixation Called pr and in General Parameters tab Select the Field Selection and in Possible reference Objects Tab Mark the With ref to Prs check box and save.
    Next, you've got to associate via SU01 
    Click Parameters, insert a new parameter id EFB to the authorization code. 
    Type in Parameters value you want e.g. XX 
    You have to assign the control for ALL the SAP buyers via thier SAP users id.
    Logoff and login again. Then try to create a Purchase Order without a reference.
    From Next time whenever you try to create with out referring PR it will not allow you to Save PO.

    You can use transaction code ME2L , where you can list of PO issued a particular vendor. List list shows Po no. indecending order. You can double click select the latest PO and through PO history you can get the FI Document no.

    It would be difficult to achieve what you want with the OOTB features of only one list.
    Per my understanding, there would be two main functionalities in the solution you want:
    1. Calculate and display the “Balance Qty” dynamically based on the values of “Order Qty” and “Deliver Qty”;
    2. Trace the “Deliver Date” and “Deliver Qty” as per “Purchase No”;
    As a workaround, I would suggest you create two lists as below:
    1. List “Orders”: Saving the upcoming orders per “Purchase No”, one “Order Qty” related to one unique “Purchase No”.
    Columns in this list:
    Purchase No(Number);
    Order Date(Date);
    Order Qty(Number);
    2. List “Deliveries”: Recording each delivery, one “Deliver Qty” to one unique existing “Purchase No” in list “Orders”.
    Columns in this list:
    Purchase No(Lookup “Purchase No” in list “Orders”);
    Order Date(Additional Lookup column along with “Purchase No”);
    Order Qty(Additional Lookup column along with “Purchase No”);
    Deliver Date(Date);
    Deliver Qty(Number);
    Balance Qty(Number);

    In the “Deliveries” list, we can trace each “Deliver Qty” and “Deliver Date” easily by filtering the “Purchase No” column in the list view page.

    existing “Deliver Qty” value per “Purchase No” in “Deliveries” list.

       May I know why you do not use cost center for consumption?
       You may create a new account assignment category in OME9 by copying K and maintain the cost center as optional. Please note that you have to maintain the item category blank and the account assignment category combination in OMG0. Now, you can use a GL account in PO which doesnt require a cost center assignment (in OBC4 against the field status group of the GL)
       You may use the same account assignment category created in the previous step with item category D, after you maintain the combination of the account assignment with item category D in OMG0.
        Please test the scenario and revert back.

  • Error in : Purchase order Creation using BAPI_PO_CREATE1

    Hell  guys,
    I am trying to create a PO using a BAPI - BAPI_PO_CREATE1
    I want the new PO to have all the characteristics of an existing PO. whose PO # is  stored in wa_order_split_create-docnr and for the new PO, i want the quantity from wa_order_split_create-qty_acptd and the delivery data to be wa_order_split_create-dly_date. But this process and code below gives a short dump in the std FM - MEPO_DOC_ITEM_GET . It raises an exception of failure. I am trying to create many new PO's in the loop below. If there is just one row, sometimes, it creates the PO even with the exception failure ( which is pretty weird).
    Am i making any mistake while filling the header or item or schedule lines for the BAPI_PO_CREATE1 ? Any tips or clues why I am getting a dump ?

    Automatic Conversion of PR to PO
    You created purchase requisition for various material. During creation of purchase order you used the following path:
    Purchase Requisition
    .......Follow on function 
    .........Create Purchase Order
    ............automatic via purReq. 
    When you mentioned required purchase requisition number and execute, system give error that purchase requisition does not contain any suitable item. 
    Is there any setting in customization where you can monitor and use that function.
    In an effort for you to successfully use the Transaction Code ME59 to automatically convert the current PR into PO, then the following criteria should be met: 
    1) In the Purchasing View of the material master data, the "Autom. PO" field must be clicked; 
    2) In the Purchasing View of the Vendor Master Data, the "Automatic Purchase Order" field must be clicked; 
    3) The Outline Agreement or Purchasing Info Record shall be maintained which will allow the automatic copying of unit price and other conditions into PO; 
    4) The Source List shall be maintained for the nominated vendor which was shown in either the Outline Agreement or Purchasing Info Record. 
    or 
    it might be PR subject to release strategy and not yet released
    or 
    If you're not using a source list or automatic creation of PO, you may need to assign the requisition to a purchase information record using transaction ME56. Then it should appear in ME58.
