Restrict iPod during bedtime hours/Children
Does anyone know of a function/app that would allow me to restrict access to the mobile devices during certain hours of the night? I have seen apps that set a daily timer, but I am more concerned about my children accessing their iPod after bedtime or waking up waaaay to early in the morning to play on their iPods.
Thanks!

Random ringing during bedtime hours
My mother's phone rings one, two sometimes three times during the night... No number is recorded and the ring is of short duration. Any one have any ideas or solutions on how to stop this annoyance?
The ring is at random times and very distressing... My mother is elderly and cannot cope with this any longer. It might be the routine night testing at the exchange, that can cause the bell to tinkle, it shouldn't happen more than once though as they only test the line once, not up to three times during the night.
It might be worth phoning BT or contacting the Mods on here and ask they ask Openreach to remove your mums line from the routine night testing.
Is nothing else connected to the line that something like a service centre calls is there, i.e. Sky STB or Community Care Alarm? -
Ipod Only Playing During Certain Hours
Ok, so my iPod is acting up and I am not sure what to do. I can only listen to my iPod during certain hours. This includes both with the headphone jack and also with the FM Transmitor. Tried looking through the menu on the actual iPod to see if there was a setting option or something that I accidentally pushed, but no. The counter is running, however no sound is coming out. Any ideas what might be causing this or how to fix it?
Unfortunately, they would have to create a new "temporary" event each work day. Alternatively, you can send them a permanent invite, and they can go to Settings > Location Services > Find my Friends OFF when they don't want to be tracked.

How can I disable web/data access during certain hours?
I have added a feature to my wireless account restricting my daughter's text/data/surfing access during evening hours. I thought I was pretty clever and assumed she would only have access to her music on her iPhone. Turns out she can still access all she wants using our home WIFI so my sceme is rendered useless. Other than confiscating her phone each evening, does anyone know how I can restrict wifi on her phone during certain hours?
Also, does anyone have a nano? Thinking she could use that for music and to set her alarm, but I don't think the nano has an alarm function.
Thanks for your input! No way to restrict it during certain hours. You can restrict it always, or never. Parental supervision is one solution. It's a losing battle to try to outwit children. It's better to require trust, with consequences if trust is breached.

My girlfriend believes she's wiped out the OS on her iPod 4th generation she said she did this by accidentally rebooting her iPod during an update, and now her iPod just shows the apple logo then fades to white. My question is, can this be fixed? Or is a new iPod necessary??
If you live near an Apple store take it in for diagnosis. Don't forget to make an appointment online first. If you don't live near a store, you may get help by searching "youtube" for DFU Restore ipod. This is not difficult to do but it requires proper timing to get the device into DFU mode.

i backed up my ipod during a windows backup. how do i find those ipod files(not itunes) in the windows backup files? i've tried searching and i can't find
so i plugged in my ipod and it asked if i wanted to backup the files before restoring it.
Do you mean iTunes asked if you wanted to backup files before restoring? If so the it is in the location I posted. You don't need to navigate to the backup. Once your restore your iPod it will ask if you want to restore from a backup and present you with the backups made before hand.
To restore information from a backup, use one of the following methods after connecting your iOS device to the computer with which you normally sync:
-Click the File menu and select Devices > Restore from Back up.
Or
-Open the iOS device's Summary tab. There are two ways to access this:
-Click the device button in the upper right corner. (If viewing the iTunes Store, click the Library button in the upper right corner. The device button will then be visible.)
-From any view in iTunes, click the View menu and select Show Sidebar. Select your iOS device in iTunes under Devices.
-Click the Restore Backup button. -
Slow speed during peak hours for over a year
For over a year now my connection speed has slowed during peak hours, at first it would start around 6pm and drop to 5meg or so untill midnight at which point it would go back up to 8meg all night and morning.
As the year has gone on it has gotten worse and worse to the point now where it starts around 2pm and plummits to 1.5-2meg and remains at that till midnight at which point it goes back to 8meg.
I have been trying to get help with this from @BTCare on twitter for serveral months now and have gotten absolutely no where, every time i get the same old "are you on wireless or wired", "try a different router/microfilter", "try another PC", "run a diagnostic test on our speed tester" etc etc and at the end of it they go silent and then when i try and get some kind of update we are back to square one of being told to fill out my details on the website to open a NEW ticket even though i currently have 5 or 6 open tickets for the same **bleep** issue.
So i've come to try my luck here before i throw in the towel and just get rid of the **bleep** line alltogether as it is currently a waste of money.AR7 DSL Modem Statistics:

Is true that I need to charge my ipod 5G 12 hours for the first time?
Is true that I need to charge my ipod 5G 12 hours for the first time? Help me please
No, you need to charge until the battery shows it is fully charged...that can take only a couple hours depending on how far you have discharged it. You do not need to discharge the iPod all the way and then recharge...plug it in when convenient and top up that battery. Plug it in at night so it is charged in the morning.
You cannot overcharge the battery, the charging circuit shutsdown when the battery is fully charged so you cannot harm it leaving it plugged in. -
Slow internet during peek hours
Hello,
New to the forum but have been browsing it for a while. For the past 2 weeks I am having issues with my DSL download speed during what seems to be peek hours (from 3pm till midnight). I am on the 3.1-7mbps plan and during morning hours the speedtest.net is showing correct over 6.5 mbps download speed (and the internet in general is fast) but during peek hours it drops between 1-1.3mbps download and all sites seems to be sluggish. I have a tech coming in tomorrow but just by browsing through a couple of pages of this forum, I see this is a rather common occurrence . I am in Rahway, NJ area. My transceiver stats look good and do not fluctuate during day/night. How do I get a hold of higher level technician at Verizon that can actually change the data circuit on their end as it seems to me that their switches may get overloaded during peek hours. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

IS- Retail - Cycle count during business hours
Hi ,
I am trying to do cycle count thru the POS system, and this is during business hours. We want to perform cycle count at the stores using the POS system and update SAP. I checked in SAP Help and its very confusing and its not step by step. The config path provided in SAP Help also is not updated. Is there any documents or materials that anyone of you can provide me. Any information provided is appreciated.
Thanks,
Amauris.Hi,
SAP has introduced this new functionality called Physical Inventory during Opening hours along with EhP3 along with POS DM. Which means in case you want to carry out physical inventory during business hours, you will require POSDM as well as EHP3 installed as well as relevant Business function set activated to carry this out.
In case you do not have POSDM in your landscape i dont think you can do it.
Hope this helps
Regards

http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B28359_01/appdev.111/b28419/d_rls.htm#i1000830
create or replace function office_hrs_only

p_object IN VARCHAR2 DEFAULT NULL)
return VARCHAR2
AS
BEGIN
RETURN 'to_char(sysdate,''HH24'') between 9 and 17';
END;Remember, TO_CHAR returns a string, so you should compare it other strings, not numbers. Try this:
RETURN 'to_char(sysdate,''HH24'') between ''09'' and ''16''';If you make the upper limit '16', then people will be able to use the table as late as 16:59:59, that is, one second before 5:00 PM.
That's not completely intuitive, is it? Maybe it would be better if you said:
RETURN 'to_char(sysdate,''HH24:MI:SS'') between ''09:00:00'' and ''17:00:00''';Edited by: Frank Kulash on Aug 21, 2011 12:11 AM -

They also use number generators - software that will automatically create them - some work and some don't, they don't care, they send out millions and a few will fall for it and send them money. The only way to "hide" would be to change both and your password, but then it would happen again at some point.

Do I have to charge my iPhone during 12 hours when it turn off ? I just bought it
Charge your iPhone whenever you want to. There are no limitations on when or the duration of charge. Normally it will charge in 3-4 hours with the wall charger, longer if you use a computer USB port.
