Restrict PO based on the maximum stock level qty in MMR

Hi
We have maintained Maximum Stock level in MRP1 in Material Master. Is there any facility which can restrict the Purchaser, not to raise any PO more than maximum stock level qty which is maintained in Material Master ??? how to do ?
Is there any user exit or warning mesge settings?

If you want do such check then you have to do that in a userexit.
I am personally the opinion that a purchaser does not extend the PO quantity just for fun. Maybe he gets a better price if he procures a little more. It is probably a lack of training and knowledge about each others work, that a buyer does not understand what the maximum stock level is , and the planner may not understand the particular issues a buyer deals with daily.
Bring those two together an let they explain each other the reason for the maximum stock level and the reason why the order quantities are changed. Maybe they will finally change the maximum stock level, maybe the buyer will not change the quantities anmore without discussing it first with the planner......

Since you have maintained MRP view for the material , this indicate MRP process is active in your company.You plan requirement generation of this item through MRP ( Automatic procurement) so that unless your stock level doesnt fall below safety stock, New Requirement will not be generated, so schedule lines for supplier will not be generated.If there are no schedule lines / delivery schedule Store person cannot make Good Receipt.This will solve your problem.

Maximum Lot Size & Maximum Stock Level

Hi All,
In MRP 1 view we have Max Lot Size & Max Stock level, how the system give me requirement if i'm maintaining these fields.

If you mainatain Max lot size system will check for this qty & it will not allow to generate PR or planned order more than this qty in MRP run & Max stock level is the stock for replinshment where lot size if replinishing.

SAP Report that shows Items Over Maximum Stock Levels

I previously processed a reprot from SAP that I didn't capture the the T-Code for, whis shows my stock items with inventory values greater the set max. I have tried searching and haven't had any luck on finding it again so I am reaching out with the hopes that someone might be able to help. Thanks

I Think there is no standard report in SAP to check inventory stock more then maximum stock.
You can download your as on date stock from MB5B tcode & download maximum stock item list list from table MARC-MABST in excel format & join it through Vlookup.After that you can get stock list as required by you.
Or you have to develop Z report for that.
If any report is there,I would also interested to know it.

Adjusting the Maximum Power level Assignment Value

I have a deployment of AIR-CAP35021 APs. They are in 2 buildings with multiple floors. They are installed in a row down the hallways. I want to increase the power levels by using the controller and not configuring the APs individually. I have set the TPC value to -50 but I still do not reach the outer walls of the floors in some areas. I need to know what to set the Max Power Level Assignment or Min Power Level Assignment to to get the APs to power up some more. If the MAX value is 30 and the default is 30 then how will it help to adjust that value?. Any help would be appreciated.

the default on most code revs is Max at 30 and the min is -10   (note the minus sign).. If your survey was done at 25 mw with a 1252, what type of antenna was on the 1252?? if it was a stick omni it may have a higher gain than the ap's your now using. That could also be coming into play here.
so initally I'd determine what the actual EIRP you were using during the survey and then figure out how to match that now.
if you aren't familiar with EIRP it's basically the radiated transmit power at the antenna output. So a quick example
If your ap is putting out 25mw or 14dBm and you are using a 6dBi antenna then your EIRP is 20dBm or 100mw
if your ap is putting out 25mw or 14dBm and you are using a 2.2dBi antenna then your EIRP is 16.2dBm or 50mw
I believe the 3502i's use a 2.2 dBi integrated antenna.
this can cause a drastic change in your coverage area.
but if all else fails change the TPC controls so that max power is either 20dBm or 30dBm and that the minimum has a value of either 14 or 17 (no minus sign)..
30dBm = 1 watt
29dBm = 800mw
26dBm = 400mw
23dBm = 200mw
20dBm = 100mw       TXPower Level 1
17dBm = 50mw         TXPower Level 2
14dBm = 25mw         TXPower Level 3
11dBm = 12.5mw      TXPower Level 4
etc.

How to break down the total stock level in multiple items ECC6.0 ERP

Have a requirement for being able to break down the total stock of material into multiple items.
E.g.
Total stock: 1000 mtr. Unr.
Consists of lenghts of:
500 mtr.
200 mtr.
200 mtr.
100 mtr.
The different stocks should be displayed to sales persons and also 3rd party web applications towards customers
Using 3rd party WMS system for all LE processes and currently handling this requirement using batch management, but using batch management also has some really strict rules which is why I would like to find other solutions
Searching for any methods to solve this problem.

If tracking each "size " is important, then you can go for a seperate material code itself for each size.
eg: 1000mtr = A
500 mtr= B etc .
you can show conversion of 1000 Mtr -> 500 MTR by subcontracting/ production /material t material transfer.
-We had used split valuation in one clients system, where they wanted to track the Uncut Iron rods and iron rods cut into different sizes seperately .
-Some people use batch management with characteristics as well .
Cnsidering your system is in live stage, you have to consider the impact of each type of change.

How to Restrict Search based on the Roles for External crawled sites

I have a situation where the search results have to be restricted based on role
When External sites are crawled, how can we restrict the search results based on roles,
I know that we can restrict the search to a group or set of groups that can contain many users but if the group have different roles and if that group has given access to a web repository search, how can we restrict the document/search access based on roles for the same group?
For Example an Index that has external site as data source and the permissions were set for a group and that group has 2 roles, lets say <b>"Admin" and "user"</b> and the external site have some documents when searched the documents should come up only for the "Admin" role during search, but should not come up for the "user" role
Is it possible to achieve this? Is there a solution?
Any advices are greatly appreciated and awarded

Replenishment upto max. stock level during SNP heuristics run.

Hi Experts,
As per the requirement from client, we need to configure the setting of replenishment upto max. stock level during SNP heuristics run.
I am using below settings in R/3 for achieving the expected results.
(R/3 ) MRP1 u2013
Lot size                       HB               Replenish to maximum stock level
Maximum stock level      20,000
(APO) Targ.Stk Lvl Methd   5 u2013 in APO u2013 product master -   lot size tab.
Still, after heuristics run, the requisitions are getting created equals to forecast value. It should get generated as max. stock level maintained.
Could anyone share their experience regarding this? Am I missing some additional setting?

If the requirement is that you have to replenish upto a certain stock level then instead of maintaining the Max Stock level you can simply maintain
SB : Safety stock from product master
and in the Safety stock field maintain the quantity as desired ( in this case 20000 ) . This probably will solve the problem in your case . You may not require to maintain Max stock level .
Target stock level in heuristics also works fine with the following settings
make sure you maintain
Target stock level method as =5
In Maximum Stock level = maintain the quantity desired ( 20000 in your case say )
do not maintain any safety stock method keep it blank .
then location heuristics generates PR according to the the maximum stock level.
If still it is not working plz let me know what other settings you are maintaining probably we will find a way out .

You use the lot-sizing procedure Replenishment up to maximum stock level if you want to fill the stock up to the highest possible level or if you can only store a certain quantity of a material due to the container size. This applies to a tank, for example. The capacity of the tank determines the maximum stock level.
Takt time (Used in fixed lot size with splitting & overlapping) - You can determine whether a fixed or period lot size is divided into partial quantities and that these are to be produced at regular intervals that overlap each other.
This lot-sizing procedure is very useful if the actual requirement quantities that occur in the period or the quantity to be produced for a certain date are very large but production is only laid out for smaller quantities.
In fixed lot size with splitting & overlapping you have to maintain the Takt time field for the period of time that the procurement proposals are to overlap.

How to find out the maximum value

Dear all,
i have one query where in i have to calculate Excise Duty based on the maximum sales qantity of all materials with the corresponding sales value... i mean i wil get the maximum value of a individual material no matter how many sales has done.i wil pick up the maximum sales qty and the correspondig sales value....
This im able to solve by taking the condition as TOP 1..
Now my question is if the same material qty is sold with differnt value then i have to pick up the Max value and as usual the sales qty..... plz help me out

in this case my query is picking up the max qty of 20 and the value 1000 INR as i had taken TOP 1 on Sales qty ....

U can use the restrict option fo the Material characteristics for sales value just drag and drop on columns >right click Properties> U have the option Calculated Result as Summation, Maximum, Minimum etc..just choose Maximum for ur case.

Minimum & maximum stock for Material

Hi Team,
Here my client required to keep his stock in the form of Minimum & maximum stock for Material.
Let me explain with an example.
Material =Pen
In Stock it should be always 5 & maximum 10, when it falls below 4 it should generate PR & should not cross maximum limit 10.
if in stock 3 pens r there it should generate PR for 7 , If 4 then PR for 6
Please help me for it ASAP.

For this you need to maintain below settings in material master for your material.
In MRP1 view,
Define MRP Type: V1
Define Reorder Point: 5
Define MRP Controller:
Lot Size: HB (Replenish to max. stock)
Define Maximum stock level: 10
After this material master settings in MRP 1 view, test the results by running MRP for the material.
Keep the stock at different levels like 3, 4 and 6 for the material before MRP run.
You will get the results as per your business requirements.

Minimum stock level

        My scenario comes like this ...i have two service center"A" and "B"where i ll maintain some minimum stock level of spare parts.
       each service center will get service arder individually for spare parts.service center's issue spare parts against order from minimum stock level. so i maintained make to stock scenario where order is full filled with minimum stock level.so planning has to cover minimum stock level.so i mapped in safety stock.
      But the safety stock level varies with some period.so i need an upload program of safety stock in period oriented manner.
      then fullfillment of service order also based on priority wise .becas spar parts for that sevice center are obtained from some other plant ...which should maintain a plan which determaine priority to give spare parts to "A" and "B" in percentage of priority
so i require 1.how to go for upload of safety stock with periodically?
                  2.How the priority can be given for allocation to verious service center.?\

For upload the safety stock you can use BDC or LSMW.
for periodic upload try through background program with the help of ABAPer.

Reorder Point & Maximum stock

I want set my FG p/n have a Reorder Point & Maximum stock leve. when my stock & supply demand less than Reorder Point qty, SAP system will Replenish to maximum stock level . i have try to set MRP type to VM & lot size to HB in MRP1 view. but i find the result is not right as i want. could you help me find where is error & give me some good idea ! tks .

The replinishment is for not FG. It should be activated for raw materials and semi finished goods. Please set parameters for roh and halb and check

Hi Gitesh,
The scenario you are looking for is very much possible through MRP process. For that the very first prerequisite is that you need to have MRP for that plant active. Then you need to define a MRP controller using which you will run MRP through MD01/MD03. Which all the material for which you want to maintain the specific stock level, extend the MRP views for those material for that plant.
You need to maintain the following in MRP1 view:
1) MRP type: manual re-order point planing i.e. VB
2) Reorder point: for example lets say 10
3) MRP controller
4) Lot size: HB i.e. replenish to maximum level.
5) Maximum stock level: 100....(put the value of the maximum stock you want to maintain.)
This way system will propose the PR everytime you run MRP of amount to make up the stock upto 100 and not above that. Also you may block external PR for that particular material using BADI/ABAP help so that no one else raise PR for that particular material. This way we may control the stock for particular material.
