Restrict % symbol in normalization BI 7.0

Dear Friends,
I have two quick questions.
1. In Bex, while selecting variable values, how do i do setting to read the values either from Master data table or from the cube (data target).
2. I have normalized a key figure. It shows normalization with symbol %. How to i restrict display of the % symbol.
Your earliest help will be highly appreciated.
Regards
PK

Hi,
you can not insert directly.
I can suggest you this options:
1) Workbook introducind in MS-Excel "%" symbol.
2) Introduce, like attribute of a IO Char in ODS, an IO that contains only %. Then in query use Formula Variable to take value % like attribute from that IO. Not sure but you can try.
Ciao.
create either calculated key figure or formula. Select your key figure, percentage share (%A) out of section "percentage functions" and 100 so formula will show up like this
'key figure' %A 100
If you created formula, hide your key figure from output to display result only once.
Regards,
Ravi.

  • MacBook Pro is stuck on Grey Screen with "restricted" symbol.

My MacBook Pro fans were loud and unusual, so when I looked up what to do on google most of the results told me to reset the SMC. So I did that, expecting it to work, and now my MacBook Pro won't go past the Reboot screen! The strange thing is, it doesn't stay on the Apple logo like most people say. Instead, the apple logo changes into the "Restricted" Symbol and just stays there.
I assumed it was part of the SMC process so I left it alone. But it's been happening for hours now. I even restarted it several times and it still stays with the Restricted sign. I tried redoing the SMC process and I even tried resetting the PRAM. Nothing has worked. Pressing Command-S or Command-R doesn't do me much good either. I'm worried that something went wrong with the harddrive and I cannot afford a new Mac or the repairs for it.
    Can anyone help me?

This is usually the remedy for out of control fans.

Ok, it's not booting up to OS X, which when loaded will control the fans to settle down, but the default if OS X doesn't load is eventually turbo mode.
You have basically what's called a "gray screen issue"
Go through the Steps here and it will fix it,, provided it's not a hardware issue.

Installed 10.5 and when I go to my libary list to click open the selcted name (recently played, purchased, videos and etc.) I get a "restricted symbol" and it won't open. I have to open in a totally different way now. Anyone else having this problem? Can figure out what happened!!

    1) When I go to the apple.com website my computer will either be really slow or freeze my whole system down to where I have to reboot my computer again. This does not happen all the time but when it does operate it is molasses slow.
By any chance, are you uswing Kaspersky security software?
    If so, see:

  • Can't Add Videos to Library

    Greetings:
I've followed the instructions and I can no longer get video into my iTunes Library.
I reformatted them into mp4, tried navigating to them from Add to Library in the File menu, tried dragging and dropping, but nothing happens. I'm using the latest versions of both iTunes and iPod software. I even trashed iTunes and reinstalled it, but nothing happens.
I had put on a couple of videos when I first got my 5th gen., so I moved them onto my Mac and tried to add them to the iTunes Library and that didn't work either, so I didn't think it's a format problem. I do get the error message that the new videos were't moved because they won't play on my iPod, even though they're in the same format as the ones that do play (MPEG-4). The old files that do play are MPEG-4s but have the suffix m4v. I tried changing the new file suffixes but it didn't help.
    Audio files go in fine.
    Can anyone offer a solution?
    Thanks...

I have the exact same problem. I have several episodes of a series in .avi format. I used Prism to convert them to .mp4 format (I've done this hundreds of times). For some reason iTunes only lets some of the videos into the library. The others just dont show up. iTunes doesnt say i CAN'T add them (i.e. when i try to drag and drop i get a little plus sign and not the restricted symbol), but none the less it won't actually add them. All the files were converted one after the other using the same conversion software, all in the same session.

  • Gray Screen after Yosemite update on MacBook Pro

I have a Macbook Pro from the fall of 2011 and receny updated from Mavericks to Yosemite. The installation seemed to go okay, took like eight hours, but started at first. Then once I opened an application it shut down and tried to restart. It went to a gray screen and then to a gray screen with a restricted symbol, or whatever you want to call it, as pictured below.
Before the update, the computer would shut down for no reason and restart with the message, "Restarted due to problem", or something like that. I had repaired and cleaned the disk using Onyx, and it seemed to have stopped the problem, but the way it shut down this time seemes just like that. Now I cannot get it past this screen... Please help, guys :/

Install Mavericks, Lion/Mountain Lion Using Internet Recovery
Be sure you backup your files to an external drive or second internal drive because the following procedure will remove everything from the hard drive.
Boot to the Internet Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND-OPTION- R keys until a globe appears on the screen. Wait patiently - 15-20 minutes - until the Recovery main menu appears.
Partition and Format the hard drive:
Select Disk Utility from the main menu and click on the Continue button.
After DU loads select your newly installed hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed. Quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion. Mavericks: Select Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion, Mavericks and click on the Install button. Be sure to select the correct drive to use if you have more than one.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.
This should restore the version of OS X originally pre-installed on the computer.

  • Volume problems after last update

I cannot control my volume at all. I see the volume is all the way up but I also see the restriction symbol as if theirs no speakers, but I can hear sound just very low.

If your using iTunes check the volume slider there.
Do the same for other App's and YouTube Videos.
Then if your volume levels are still low or off, reset your > NVRAM and PRAM
    1. Shut down the computer.
    2. Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command, Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
    3. Turn on the computer.
    4. Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys. You must press this key combination before the gray screen appears.
    5. Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
    6. Release the keys.
Are headphones or speakers plugged into your headphone jack...? If so, try unplugging them and readjusting the volume.

  • Symbol animation restrictions

In connection with another question I asked earlier which I've been trying to solve whilst waiting for help, I've found another 2 possibly related problems:
I have a symbol, which I animate from 0% scale up to about 110% and then back to 100%.
this makes a nice little growing animation.
    I've noticed two major issues:
1: I can't seem to scale any of my symbols down to 0% scale via the Transform panel. Depending on the original size of the symbol on the stage, I can sometime only scale it down 1% or sometimes even only 10% minimum. this results in tiny visable dots where I need there to be nothing.
2: If I animate the above growing animation (whilst ignoring problem 1) on a symbol that has not been rotated everything is ok but if the symbol has been rotated, then the resulting growing animation has a small but sharp position change just after the second of three keyframe. I never changed any position whilst setting the keyframes so why would this happen??
If anyone can help I would be most grateful
    Thanks
    Graz

Nothing like looking at the file.
Ok, my bad, it 's...     sym.getSymbol("sam").play();     and not just sym.play();. Also you could change the cursor for your "Group" div to pointer.
    Here's the final file.

  • Restricted key figure with operater symbol depending on characteristic v

We have a operating income report that shows actual, forecast and budget amounts, the variance and %variance in its columns and revenue and expense items (Hierarchy nodes, expandable) in its rows.
The %variance key figure for revenue and expenses is calculated the same way, except if it's a expense node it has to be multiplied by -1. We would like to show that key figure in one column only. What would be the easiest way to achieve that?
    Thanks a lot,
    Fabian

How do you identify the account as revenue or expense...if my understanding of your issue is correct....you must be having a GL Hierarchy (example) in the rows and you are tring to show the actual, plan by value type. To overcome with your issue, the best and definite solution that works (we did have the same approach) is to reverse the sign at the hierarchy level in rsh1 itself than worrying about it in the query.

Here is our environment:  Windows Server 2008 x86 SP2 Terminal Server running Citrix XenApp5.0 with Office 2007 installed.  We have a Group Policy to restrict users from access the server's C:\ drive.  When our users open or save a Microsoft
Word, Excel, etc. document they are presented with the following error.  "This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer.  Please contact your systems administrator."  When our users click on the OK button it
allows them to open or save the document.    If I remove the restriction to C:\ from our Group Policy, then everything is working fine.  Please tell me how to fix this problem. Thanks.

    Hi Jeffery,
Unfortunately, I could not work around this and MS said it was by design. I even tried some clever stuff with symbolic link s but to no avail. I simply ended up informing my users to ignore the message and continue. i don't want anyone to be able to browse
the C: drive so I'm leaving the NoViewOnDrives registry key in place. However, there is one possible workaround but for me , it didn't suit:
Change the temp  location of the folder Outlook uses for attachments
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/817878
Also, I'd recommend forcing all attachments to open in read-only mode http://support.microsoft.com/kb/953621
Annoying but you can't have everything i guess :(

    Runtime Errors         GETWA_NOT_ASSIGNED
    Date and Time          19.06.2009 11:24:46
Short dump has not been completely stored (too big)
    Short text
Field symbol has not yet been assigned.
    What happened?
Error in the ABAP Application Program
The current ABAP program "SAPLKKBL" had to be terminated because it has
come across a statement that unfortunately cannot be executed.
    What can you do?
Note down which actions and inputs caused the error.
To process the problem further, contact you SAP system
         administrator.
Using Transaction ST22 for ABAP Dump Analysis, you can look
at and manage termination messages, and you can also
keep them for a long time.
    Error analysis
You attempted to access an unassigned field symbol
         (data segment 106).
         This error may occur if
         - You address a typed field symbol before it has been set with
           ASSIGN
         - You address a field symbol that pointed to the line of an
           internal table that was deleted
        - You address a field symbol that was previously reset using
UNASSIGN or that pointed to a local field that no
          longer exists
        - You address a global function interface, although the
respective function module is not active - that is, is
not in the list of active calls. The list of active calls
can be taken from this short dump.
    How to correct the error
If the error occures in a non-modified SAP program, you may be able to
find an interim solution in an SAP Note.
If you have access to SAP Notes, carry out a search with the following
        keywords:
        "GETWA_NOT_ASSIGNED" " "
        "SAPLKKBL" or "LKKBLF99"
        "GEN_FIELD_OUT2"
If you cannot solve the problem yourself and want to send an error
notification to SAP, include the following information:
        1. The description of the current problem (short dump)
To save the description, choose "System->List->Save->Local File
        (Unconverted)".
        2. Corresponding system log
Display the system log by calling transaction SM21.
Restrict the time interval to 10 minutes before and five minutes
after the short dump. Then choose "System->List->Save->Local File
    (Unconverted)".
    3. If the problem occurs in a problem of your own or a modified SAP
program: The source code of the program
       In the editor, choose "Utilities->More
    Utilities->Upload/Download->Download".
    4. Details about the conditions under which the error occurred or which

Is there any special circumstances we need to use FIELD-SYMBOL?
Why is FIELD-SYMBOL is introduce in the first place?
    Kindly advice with example.
Thanks in advance for those who can help me on this.

    HI,
You can use field symbols to make the program more dynamic. In this example the name of a table control is substituted by a field symbol. Thus you cal call the form with any internal table, using the name of the table control as a parameter.
    Example
    form insert_row
    using p_tc_name.
    field-symbols <tc> type cxtab_control. "Table control
    assign (p_tc_name) to <tc>.
insert 100 lines in table control
    <tc>-lines = 100.
    Field symbols allow you to:
**     Assign an alias to a data object(for example, a shortened
name for data objects structured through several hierarchies
            - <fs>-f instead of rec1-rec2-rec3-f)
**     Set the offset and length for a string variably at runtime
**     Set a pointer to a data object that you determine at runtime (dynamic ASSIGN)
**     Adopt or change the type of a field dynamically at runtime
**     Access components of a structure
**     (from Release 4.5A) Point to lines of an internal table
(process internal tables without a separate work area)
Field symbols in ABAP are similar to pointers in other programming
languages. However, pointers (as used in PASCAL or C) differ from ABAP
field symbols in their reference syntax.
The statement ASSIGN f to <fs> assigns the field f to field
symbol <fs>. The field symbol <fs> then "points" to the
contents of field f at runtime. This means that all changes to the
contents of f are visible in <fs> and vice versa. You declare
the field symbol <fs> using the statement FIELD-SYMBOLS: <fs>.
    Reference syntax
Programming languages such as PASCAL and C use a dereferencing symbol
to indicate the difference between a reference and the object to which
it refers; so PASCAL would use p^ for a pointer instead of p, C would
use *p instead of p. ABAP does not have any such dereferencing symbol.
**     In PASCAL or C, if you assign a pointer p1 to a pointer p2,
you force p1 to point to the object to which p2 refers (reference semantics).
**     In ABAP, if you assign a field symbol <fs1> to a field
symbol <fs2>, <fs1> takes the value of the data object to
    which <fs2> refers (value semantics).
**     Field symbols in ABAP are always dereferenced, that is,
they always access the referenced data object. If you want to
change the reference yourself in ABAP, you can use the ASSIGN statement
to assign field symbol <fs1> to field symbol <fs2>.
    Using field symbols
You declare field symbols using the FIELD-SYMBOLS statement.
They may be declared either with or without a specific type.
At runtime you assign a field to the field symbol using the ASSIGN
statement. All of the operations on the field symbol act on the field
    assigned to it.
When you assign a field to an untyped field symbol, the field symbol
adopts the type of the field. If, on the other hand, you want to assign
a field to a typed field symbol, the type of the field and that of the
    field symbol must be compatible.
A field symbol can point to any data object and from Release 4.5A,
they can also point to lines of internal tables.
The brackets (<>) are part of the syntax.
Use the expression <fs> IS ASSIGNED to find out whether the field
symbol <fs> is assigned to a field.
The statement UNASSIGN <fs> sets the field symbol <fs> so
that it points to nothing. The logical expression <fs>
IS ASSIGNED is then false. The corresponding negative expression
is IF NOT <fs> IS ASSIGNED.
An unassigned field symbol <fs> behaves as a constant with
type C(1) and initial value SPACE.
    MOVE <fs>
TO dest     Transfers the initial value SPACE to the variable dest
    MOVE 'A' to <fs>
Not possible, since <fs> is a constant
    (runtime error).
To lift a type restriction, use the CASTING addition in the
ASSIGN statement. The data object is then interpreted as though
it had the data type of the field symbol. You can also do this
with untyped field symbols using the CASTING TYPE <type> addition.
The danger with pointers is that they may point to invalid areas.
This danger is not so acute in ABAP, because the language does not
use address arithmetic (for example, in other languages, pointer p
might point to address 1024. After the statement p = p + 10, it would
point to the address 1034). However, the danger does still exist, and
memory protection violations lead to runtime errors.
A pointer in ABAP may not point beyond a segment boundary. ABAP does
not have one large address space, but rather a set of segments.
Each of the following has its own segment:
    *     All global data
    *     All local data
    *     Each table work area (TABLES)
    *     Each COMMON PART
You should only let field symbols move within an elementary field or
structure where ABAP allows you to assign both within the global data
    and beyond a field boundary.

  • IPad WiFi Connection Problems - WiFi Symbol Appears With Full Bars but I Don't Get A Checkmark?

I was using the iPad one day and then all of a sudden it stopped connecting to the internet. The network at this hotel is very good and I've asked them about their router so it is not the router's problem.
I go to the Settings and tap on Wi-Fi then I tap on the hotel network. After a few seconds, it says the network name beside the Wi-Fi tab and it gives me the WiFi symbol showing 3 bars. But then I never get the checkmark or tick saying everything is connected. I try going online and it says the iPad is not connected to the internet. I've tried an iPhone and it connected and got a checkmark in a few seconds. I've talked to the front desk and he took out his phone and showed me that he could connect, he even opened a page without any problems at all.
I've been trying to find a solution for this for a long time. I've been searching Google over and over again. I turned Airplane Mode on for 1 minute, I've tried Resetting my Network settings, I've tried forgetting the network and reconnecting again, I've tried removing all restrictions from the iPad, I've rebooted the iPad A LOT, etc.
So this is my problem for people who don't want to read the whole message:
    1. I can't connect to the internet with the iPad
    2. It shows the WiFi symbol saying its connected but I never get the checkmark or tick.
    3. It's not the router problem.
    4. I've tried other networks and it doesn't work. It just keeps on showing that loading circle right beside the network name.
    5. Do any of you know what this problem is? Or do you have a solution?
Thank you for reading this and have a great day

Since you are in a hotel, some of these are not applicable.

    Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

  • Restricting Customer Master Screen Enhancement depending on Account Group

    Hello Techies,
I have added a new tab to receive an information (RDC) which will be saved in a new field of KNVV table.
This was done implementing particular interfaces of BADIs CUSTOMER_ADD_DATA and CUSTOMER_ADD_DATA_CS.
I now want this button to be visible only when a particular account group is selected during creation (XD01) or when changes are made to a customer having that particular AG.
The information about the AG stored in the KTOKD field of the table KNA1.
But I am not very sure how to restrict this button on the basis of that.
    Any helpful suggestions?
P.S. Please let me know if this question requires re-categorization.

    Hi Juan,
I am able to assign the content of the table GT_SCGR_ACTIVE to a field symbol. And to check the account group, I am checking the selection parameter value (SAPMF02D)S_KTOKD.
So far so good, but there is another problem. I am not able to access the 'USED' field of the table stored in the field symbol.
    FIELD-SYMBOLS: <fs_xvbap> TYPE ANY.
    LF_TEXT = '(SAPMF02D)GT_SCGR_ACTIVE[]'.
    ASSIGN (LF_TEXT) TO <FS_XVBAP>.
    IF SY-SUBRC EQ 0.
           IF '(SAPMF02D)S_KTOKD' EQ '5001' OR '(SAPMF02D)S_KTOKD' EQ '5002'.
             <FS_XVBAP>-USED = ''.
           ENDIF.
This gives error saying it is not a structure therefore no such component.
    Any suggestions?
