Restrict Systems

How to restrict Windows 7 systems accessing a shared folder in a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 system.
Please note that both the systems are connected in the same network and there is no domain created in the 2003 server and hence all the Windows 7 systems as well as Microsoft Windows Server 2003 system are just connected in the network via LAN.

System.out.println() calls are executed on the client machine, and thus do not pass through any firewalls or proxies. If the applet is signed, you can redirect the System.out, by System.setOut(...).

Restrict system that couldn't do VF11 when AR document have been cleared

Dear Experts,
My question is as follows.
After I posted the billing document(VF01), it produces an accounting document simultaneously .
Then , the financial users use F-30 to collect invoice amount and then the AR item been cleared.
But after cleared the AR item , SAP system still allow us to use VF11 to reverse the billing document,
I consider it isn't sensible, it should be to use FBRA to reset cleared item and then use VF11 to reverse billing document.
How should I do to restrict VF11, or any other method to make it to be sensible?

Check what the parameter RULE_NEW_CANCEL is set to . If "B" change it to "space".

ARQ: What is the authorization object to restrict system selection while creating a request???

Hi All,
I am trying to know how I can restrict a requester to select specific system only while creating a request.
I could find aut. object GRAC_ROLEP in role "XXX_requester". There is field GRAC_SYSID in this object wherein
I can specify the connector name. Initially, it was having "*" value and then I changed it to specific
connector. I sychronized the roles/users data and tried to raise a request. However, I still find all the
connectors defined including LDAP!
May I know how I can show only "required" connectors while creating a request?

Restrict system from doing re-confirmation of all line items in SO

Hello SDNs,
When we change the quantity of one line item, system is going for re-confirmation of all line items.
when there are multiple line items, it is having perfomance problem. Now we want to change this to go for re-confirmation of only the changed line item. Please suggest me how to move ahead.

what you are willing to implement is not a supported functionality in the current Yard management.
If this is not yet the case, I would encourage you to open a SAP Customer message so that your question gets checked and analysed at development support.

Restricting the population of data based on the user & his organization

Hi,
I want to have following requirement fulfilled
Suppose there are 3 company codes under one company.
I do not want a user of one company to see the data of another company code or plant.
For example:
Selection of PO from drop down list or selection of vendor from drop down list in case user is searching for them in any of the transaction.
He should see only the vendors for he is responsible or he should see only those PO numbers which are relevant for his organizational unit.
He should not be able to see other data.
There are similar kind of restrictions required .
How this can be achieved.How can we restrict system in populating this ?

Authorizations can be restricted by company code and purchasing organizations. Standard SAP transactions and reports have checks that ensure that the user sees only those records for which he is authorized.

Restrict referance of pricing and condition type from latest PO.

Hi Experts,
I am creating Purchase order and at the time of creation of purchase order system is copying prices and condition types from latest PO.
Which is not desirable to our business process, when I dig out I found out that in standard SAP system
The system looks at pricing in the hierarchy order as below:
u2022     Contracts/scheduling agreement
u2022     Condition records
u2022     Info Records
u2022     Last purchase document
So can some one help me with information how to restrict system to follow this referance of pricing.
I want to enter price as well as condition type manualy every time user create a purchasing document.
Also i want to know can it be restricted specificaly for few document type.

can we try this
Use the user parameter EVO to indicate that no price adoption from last Purchase Order must take place:
IMG: MM -> Purchasing -> Environment data -> Default values for Buyers
-> Setting for Default values.
Select or setup a default value and on the "price adoption" tab you may choose how copying of conditions from last purchase order must behave. Select "Do not copy".
Then assign this default value to the user, using the EVO parameter.

My Client wants to restrict appearing used PO Line items in MIRO

My client wants to restrict appearing blank line items agaisnt already used Purchase Order Items (Full Qty GR / IR happened, GR Based IV) in MIRO so that user can not book another invoice against the same PO with diffrent ref. no. and in date.
Is there any way (User Exit / Screen Variant) we can make it?

Even if I set Final Invoice Indicator in MIRO and booked invoice against the PO systems is showing blank line items (Amt & Qty are blank) in MIRO agaisnt the PO.
Can you please run the scenario and tell me is there any way that we can restrict system showing blank line items against already processed PO items in MIRO. I have tried booking invoice agaisnt individual del note but blank line items are there.

How to put database in RESTRICTED mode ?

in 9.2.0.6 on Windows 2003 server how to put database in RESTRICTED mode ?

ERROR at line 1:
ORA-12719: operation requires database is in RESTRICTED mode
That's because 'ALTER SYSTEM QUIESCE RESTRICTED' doesn't actually put the database into restricted mode:
SQL> select logins, active_state from v$instance;
LOGINS       ACTIVE_ST
ALLOWED       NORMAL
SQL> alter system quiesce restricted;
System altered.
SQL> select logins, active_state from v$instance;
LOGINS       ACTIVE_ST
ALLOWED       QUIESCEDTry staring the database in restricted mode and then quiescing it:
SQL>
SQL> shutdown immediate;
Database closed.
Database dismounted.
ORACLE instance shut down.
SQL> startup restrict;
ORACLE instance started.

SQL>As you can see from V$INSTANCE, when you are running in restricted mode LOGINS will have a value of 'RESTRICTED'
However - I still think that if you are dealing with users logging in to your (RESTRICTED) database via the listener then the easiest option is to stop the listener whilst the database is down and restart it once your alter database command has completed.
PS : No any other user is connected.No, they wouldn't be this time because you had quiesced the database... but you still need to get the database into restricted mode for this alter database command.

Restrict TECO if Usage decesion has not been made

Hi All,
I have a requirement. Can I restrict system status TECO for an Order for which Usage decision has not been made just only by SPRO settings ?
I do not want to use User exit.
Also, I do not need automatic TECO status set at the time of UD which I see in majority of threads.

Hi.. Sanjay,
Hope you can achieve this with the help of assignment of User Status in Order type.
Go to OIBS transaction there we can give status profile to the order.
you can give 2 statuses by using TECO allowed or NOT ALLOWED you can control the status change.
In transaction OIOG you can assign this status profile to Order.
if it is not full fill then you have to for the enhancement.

Restrict Material Type for MM01

Dear All,
When i run transaction MM01 system allows to create material with external number using alpha numeric for those types which
are not required.
e.g i am using fert and halb only and assigned number range to these two only ,,,
but wen i create material using MM01 and select material type beverage and give material number A123 suppose , then it allows to create it,,,,
i want to restrict system only to create those are being assigned with number ranges,

Restricted batch-Availability Check

Dear Mates,I have restricted particular batch in Traxn :MSC2N which are all self life expired.My issue is while creating Sales order system undergoes availability check and during availability check system also check for the stock in the restricted batch and since been it is marked as restricted system could not able to confirm the stock for that sales order and hence forth unable to proceed further.Could anybody suggest me how to prevent system from undergoing availabity check for Restricted batch?If anymore clarification required plz write to mne

You are very much correct.
Go to OVZ9,
select the availability checking group and checking rule for the material that are handled in batches and make sure if you have selected Include Restricted-use Stock
If it is selected, then just deactivate the same and check once again.

URGENT!! How to unrestrict restricted actions at runtime??

I have a bpel process in which i restricted system actions like Reassign,
now the process is in the production environment,
i have to reassign user tasks to another one :
i tried via the bpel api using reassign() api an error told me that the action is restricted on this task, eventhough i logged in as bpeladmin who has the right to perform restricted actions for tasks he owns.

well i figured out how to do it,
- just go to the domain folder in bpel, go to the temp directory then the folder of the process
- open the .task file of the task you want to allow an action for
- comment the action you want to allow in the "restrictedActions" tag
- restart the server

our availability control kicks in at 80% commitment of the assigned budget. System sends an email at every commitment after 80%. Is it possible to restrict system to issue a single email at 80% and none thereafter?.

I dont think so... The tolerance settings specify that once that is reached it has to mail...
I dont know if some thing can be done in ABAP, but in standard system it does not seem to be possible
