Restrict Usage of Order Types by Users

Hi
We have two order types existing in SAP and interfaced with MAXIMO. Data flows into these order types via XI Interface from MAXIMO. So, in SAP my client wants to restrict usage of these two order types by SAP users. Is there a way, do i need to config something. Please let me know

Do you have config steps documentation available. If yes please share. Previous thread was useful but dint supplied me full information. Now I'm confused as, do i have to specify restrictions in Status profile or in Maintain authorization.

You can try defaulting rules to default the demand class so that you can exclude these demand classes during MDS..

Plant restriction at sales order level by user

Dear SD experts,
Is it possible to restrict plant at sales order creation by user, if so, how this is to be configured.
my requirement is user shall not able to create sales order(sales document) for plants restricted.

Dear Sir,
Wud like to explain what circumstances i am asking this restriction;
1. have total three plants - 1001, 1002,1003 & these plants are to three sales offices ie., SO1, SO2, SO3, respectively
2. material extended to above plants with purchase & sales views
3. I have three users user1, user2, user3 : these are are belong to three Sales Offices ie., SO1, SO2, S03 respectively,
4. I have three sales document types say sd1, sd2, sd3
Current settings are user1 can raise sales order for any plant ie., 1001, 1002, 1003, system is not stopping, as user1 is belong to Plant 1001 & Sales Office - SO1 only,
my requirement is system shud not allow if user1 is trying to raise sales order for other than Sales Office & Plant.
Hope u r clear about what circumstances I am asking this requirement.
Experts can help us without User Exit & SHDO, is there any solution for restriction plant.

Dear Venkat,
1)Create a role and assign the tcode.(IW32)
2) Go to Authourization tab (change mode)
3) In the Object PM
3) Select the Authourization objects
   I_AUART
    I_ILOA
    I_VORG_ORD
4) Specify the ORDER TYPE:=PI01
Apart from this steps you should specify the org values like Co.code, plant..etc...
Generate the role and assign to that particular user.

Restricting Material for particular Order type

Dear Guru's,
Is it possible to restrict particular material for particular order type in CO01.
E.g. Material A is used in CO01 for order type X
Material B is used in CO01 for order type Y
I want to restrict CO01 should not allow production order creation of material A with order type Y.

Hy,
By the use of production scheduling profile you can set default order type for the required materials.But it doesn't restrict the other order type. During the manual order creation if user has select other order type then , there is no restriction.So as Mr. Shiva said put restriction over manual order creation, if possible.other option may be by using User Exit.
Now in your case you want to restrict materials not material type. So it is quite complicated for Abaper to write code , because the for every new material Abaper has to change code.
So there is one option by grouping perticuller materials under one production scheduler and then it is more convient for Abaper to create code for User Exit.

CAT2 - Restriction on Order Type

Hi all,
in our design, people have to submit Timesheets against Work Order / Operations.
They should only use only 1 type of Work Order so we would like to add a restriction on the order type.
Do you know if there is a simple way of adding this kind of restriction?

As always, you can use the User Exit ZXCATU02 for the i/p Validations.

Restricting the order type to sales area!!!

I want some clarification!!!!
Scenario:
(1)We have two sales areas
1000,10,00 and 1000,20,00.
(2)We have two order types zor and zare both have same Document priicng procedure 'A"
(3)Now the client wants to restrict the order typr zor to one sales area 1000,10,00.The system should not allow to raise an order with 1000,20,00 with combination of ZOR and A.
(4)As the client has raised a number of orders with 1000,10,00 with the combination of ZOR.now if we change the document pp of zor to X .will it effect any other documents.

IMG --> Sales & Distribution --> Sales --> Sales Document Type --> Assign Sales Area to Sales Document Type.
Here, based on Sales Area, it is possible to restrict the Sales Order Type. This will take care of point number (3).
(4)As the client has raised a number of orders with 1000,10,00 with the combination of ZOR.now if we change the document pp of zor to X .will it effect any other documents.
This will depend on copy control settings.

Please check BAdi CIF_INT_MODEL method MODIFY_OBJECT_LIST Modifying list of filter objects.
BAdI solution although it fulfills the general selection options.
Also refer consulting note 902968 - No user exit/BADI to influence selection in CFM1

Authorization Object For Order Type in Tcode KO88

Dear Sir,
In Tcode KO88 , we want that an users must be able to use only a specific type "Order Type" . But we do not know which is the authorization object for this .
I look forward for the kind help from SAP Expert as how can we put restriction based on "Order Type" in Tcode KO88 .

Default Sales Order type settings

Where do I set the default Sales Order type for transaction VA01. trying to avoid employees choosing the wrong order type.

You can setup user parameter for parameter AAT
Use transaction SU3 for every user
Goto tab Parameters
Add a line
Parameter_ID: AAT
Parameter value: Your order type
Save user profile
Please note that this solution will not prevent user to change the value of field order type during VA01. However he will always get this as default value. You should do this for every user you need to have default value.

Restriction for Sales orders due account category

Hi All
I want restrict some sales order types due type of account (individual or corporate). For example when i creating order of type A , it must can only been created with assignment of corporate account. Does anybody solved this problem? It's doesn't seem very complicated but i have no clue at all.

Restriction of user to isuue material (mb1a - 261) based on order type and

Dear friends
My client wants to restrict the users for issuig of materials against order ( mb1a - 261 mvt) Based on user id, plant and Order type.
I know it can be done with user id and Plant. But he is insisting on Order type.
Please suggest.

It's not possible to control for this authoriozation for order type for performing 261 movement in MB1A.
You can control for movement type or based on storage location.
Check and revert back.

I want to use this valution type in stock transfer order ,

Hi ,
Valuation type is defined for material.In standard setting we can't restrict a purticular val.type to a PO document type.
A material with a valuation type, can be used for any purchasing document type.
For the better understanding of users You can define a PO document type with ZDOM for domestic.
And advise them to use that document type for the material procurement with valuation type Fg-dom.

Restrict search help results on order types

I need to restrict search help results on the account assignment category for order type for the users when creating a SC. I have define fix values on the attributes PM_AUART & ANR & KNT (Order type, Order & Account assignment category) and maintained the related others PM attributes as well. But when I select the search help the system brings up all the Orders type and not the ones defined at the user attributes - PM_AUART (Order type). Do I am missing something? How can I restrict the search help when searching for order types?
