Restricted Bid Invitation

I am not able to see restricted bid invitations under vendor users.
I have created a restricted bid invitation and assigned couple of vendors to it. I have a user associated with each vendor with SAP_BBP_STAL_BIDDER role. When I release the bid, the vendor users are not able to see the restricted bids. However, I can see the public bid invitations.
Am I missing some configuration? Please let me know
-Suren

Dear Suren,
It sound like the bidder is not authorized to display the bid inv document, you can try to login from GUI.
Then open the "submit bid" transaction (Tcode BBP_QUOT), after that enter the bid inv number and start, then go to /NSU53, check if there's any authorization failed. After that add the needed authorization ,then try again.

  • Publish Bid Invitations.

Hi Guys, need help in the following:
    1) What does public bid Inviation mean? My understanding is that we will not have to assign any bidders to the bid invitation and it get published on a portal.
    2) How do I publish the bid on a portal - I want to publish the bid invitation on Internet where the suppliers can see the opportunity for businees?
    3) How does it work - Do we have to generate a PDF using smart form and then put it on the net some how?
    4) How will the vendors respond to the Open Bid Invitation as they are not created in the system and do not have login details?
    Kind Regards,
    Abdul Kadir Rajbhoy

    Hi,
Yes you are right.Public Bid Invitation means that any body can bid to the event. If Bidders are involved then it becomes Restricted Bid Invitation.
In Public Bid Invitation, you need to give  link to which the intending bidder need to get registered by answering a questionnaire published by your enterprise.Once his registration is approved by the enterprise, he will be issued a userid & Pwd and he will be in a position to submit Bid response.
This requires the setting up of the Supplier Registration scenario.

  • Restrict access to bid invitation cFolder documents

    SRM Experts,
I have a requirement to restrict access to bid invitation cFolder documents.
    Here is the scenario:
Buyer1 creates a bid invitation and a cFolder. We do not want any other buyers within our organization to access this bid invitation cFolder.
    How can this be achived?
At this time, if a buyer (ex: Buyer2) has access to create a bid invitation or view a bid invitation, the system is automatically gives Buyer2 access to cFolder created by Buyer1.
This needs to be restricted, any advice would be appreciated.
Note: BADI BAdI BBP_CFOLDER_BADI is already deactivated in the system
Please let me know if you have any ideas.
    Thanks

    Hi,
You can restrict the access through Product categories in the PPOMA_BBP for each user .
So that he can create  Bid invitation only to that product category..
    please check this link
you can find the customization guide for Cfolders on

  • Buffer Table Not Up To Date Short Dump When Publishing Change Version of Bid Invitation

    Hi experts,
We are running SRM 5.5 with Support Level 16.
We have a bid invitation for which a user is trying to publish a Change Version. This bid contains two bid outlines, with one line item in each bid outline:
    ITEM 1: HIER (Bid Outline)
    ITEM 2: Line Item
    ITEM 3: HIER (Bid Outline)
    ITEM 4: Line Item
However, upon clicking on the Check or Publish button, the system throws a CX_BBP_PD_ABORT exception short dump. The reason for the exception given in ST22 is "Buffer table not up to date".
Due to organisational system security restrictions, I am unable to copy-paste the dump from ST22, so I will be typing out some of the details here.
    Transaction: BBP_BID_INV
    Program: SAPLBBP_PDH
    Screen: SAPLBBP_BID_INV_1000
Termination occurred in the ABAP program "SAPLBBP_PDH" - in "BBP_PD_ABORT". The main program was "SAPLBBP_BID_INV".
In the source code you have the termination point in line 73.

    * parent guids have to be identical ...
    if gt_itmadm-parent <> w_itmadm-parent.
      perform abort.
    endif.
Upon tracing the variable values in the ST22 dump, it appears the program terminates when processing line 3 (i.e. the second Bid Outline). It appears that the first Bid Outline processes fine.
In the iteration for Line 3, the dump provides that gt_itmadm-parent contains the GUID to the Change Version document header, whereas w_itmadm-parent contains the GUID to the original Bid Invitation document header, resulting in a mismatch and subsequently program termination.
We have tried to replicate this bid invitation in our Development environment, but when executing, both gt_itmadm-parent and w_itmadm-parent contain GUIDs to the Change Version document header, hence the program does not abort.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!

    Hi Janu,
For Note 1561750, I have looked at the Correction Details and observed that it makes changes to an IF-ELSE block, but will result in the same path of code execution as before. I.e., the Note changes the code from "IF a THEN b, ELSE c" to just "c", but according to my code trace, we are already executing the "ELSE c" block in its current state.
We will look further into Note 1877600. The unfortunate situation here is that since we are unable to replicate this issue in our Development/QA environment, and the Note description does not explicitly fit the situation we are facing, we need to be very sure that the Note can address the issue before bringing it into Production.
Otherwise, we will raise a message as suggested.
Thank you so much for your help!
    Best regards,

  • Bid invitations output

    Hi experts
I would like to know if bid invitations (restrict and public) can be sent to SUS via XML?
I configurated it but when I save the bid the syssten not send it to SUS but the log is sent with success, when I go to SUS as supplier bider I can't see bid invitation.
Concening output by e-mail with URL for reply, where I can set this URL, I tested and the e-mails are sent but the URL is wrong, no access possoble>
    Thanks
    Nilson

    Hello Nilson,
Bid invitations are stored in the SRM-EBP and not sent to SRM-SUS. You can configure 3 types of logon access to Bid.
    A. With SAP NetWeaver Portal
B: SUS is the logon interface for supplier and SRM-SUS has a menu like "Process Bid" which is liked to SRM-EBP. When user select the menu Single Sign On works to SRM-EBP.
C: Usually PO handing and Bid handling person are different in supplier side. In this case you can provide 2 different logon interface for SRM-EBP and SRM-SUS.
The URL in the email is generated based on EXT_ITS attributes in the PPOMA_BBP. You can also change the URL by BADI BBP_CHANGE_URL.

  • Bid Invitation to create a Contract

    Hi Guys,
We are implementing SRM 4.0 (Classic Scenario). Our requirement is to create a RFX through the bidding engine only manually. (Not going through sourcing or external requirements).
I am aware that we cannot manually create a bid invitation for indirect materials as we donot have an account assignment object for indirect materials in the bidding engine and this restricts creation of a PO.
Does the same hold good for creation of contracts for indirect materials or we can create contracts from the bidding engine manually without the cost assignment object problem??
Also creation of bids manually for direct materials should not be a problem as it does not need a cost object assignment (only storage location is a mandatory field).
    Please confirm !!!!
Does anybody have the best practices used for the live auction and bidding process in SRM??
    Thanks

Does anybody have a solution to my problem???
    Please let me know

  • BID invitation publishing authorisation

    Hi,
When we select " Process Bid invitation" in EBP, we have find button through which we can filter the Bid invitations and open the same. But it lists even the Bid invitations which i am not authorised.
    For ex.
    Bid invitations created by "P1" purchasing group are Bid1, Bid2 & Bid3.
Bid invitations cerated by "P2" purchasing group are Bid 11, Bid12 & Bid13.
P1 purchaser can open the Bid invitations (Bid11,Bid12 & Bid13)created by P2 and can publish. Is there any control in org.structure or it is only through authorisation objects.
There is a selection criteria "My Bid invitations". But it can be used to open only my bid invitations not restricting others to open my bids.

  • Grouping functionality for Bid Invitations.

Is there any way to group external requirements to Bid invitations.

    Hi,
When you press the Submit to Grouping button in the Carry Out Sourcing option ,report BBP_SC_TRANSFER_GROUPED must be executed.
Read the Documentation given in the report BBP_SC_TRANSFER_GROUPED .
    Short text
Automatic Grouping of Requirements for POs and Bid Invitations
    Purpose
This report groups together requirement items to which a valid source of supply has been assigned (for grouping into purchase orders) and whose product category has been enabled for grouping (sourcing option in Customizing).
In cases where assignment is automatic, the system sets the requirement as Transferred to Grouping.
In cases where a source of supply is assigned manually, the purchaser has to choose the function Transfer to Grouping in the sourcing application for the requirements.
You should schedule this report periodically, and make sure that the report is run separately for each document type (purchase order, bid invitation).
    Prerequisites
You have assigned each relevant product category to a sourcing option for grouping, for example, Automatic Grouping, Sourcing for Item Without Assigned Source of Supply.
For more information, see the Implementation Guide (IMG) for Supplier Relationship Management: SRM Server -> Sourcing -> Define Sourcing for Product Categories.
    Features
Report BBP_SC_TRANSFER_GROUPED provides the following functions:
For automatically grouping requirements into purchase orders:
It selects all requirements that have a unique valid source of supply, and have been set up for grouping. You can use selection criteria to further restrict the requirements that are selected.
It groups requirements by vendor. In other words, it groups together all of the requirements that can be sent to the same vendor.
You can use a Business Add-In (BAdI) to make additional groupings. If the standard system groups together certain requirements, but you want to create them in separate local purchase orders, use the BAdI BBP_GROUP_LOC_PO for this purpose.
Note that there are some limitations to creating purchase orders this way. For example, it is not possible to group together requirements with different vendors in the same purchase order. This report uses the same differentiation criteria as the sourcing application (for example, business partner, company code, product type).
It uses function module BBP_PD_PO_CHECK to check the assignment to a source of supply. The report passes on requirements to function module BBP_PD_SC_TRANS_MULTI_LOC_PO, where they are grouped, and converted into a purchase order.
In a production run (that is, not a test run), the system issues error messages to the Application Monitor. Example: A contract item assigned during sourcing is no longer valid when grouping is about to occur. This error appears in the Application Monitor. The system moves the requirement item to the worklist of the sourcing application.
The Application Monitor assigns errors to one of the following categories:
    Shopping Cart: Automatic Grouping
    Purchase Order: Automatic Grouping
If necessary, you can copy this report, and change the selection criteria to suit your needs. You can start the report in test mode.
Note: In the sourcing application, you can determine which requirements are planned for the next report run by choosing Find -> For Grouping.
For automatically grouping requirements into bid invitations:
It selects all requirements that have been set up for grouping. A source of supply is not required. You can use selection criteria to further restrict the requirements that are selected.
You can use the BAdI BBP_TRANSFER_GROUP to take bid invitations that have been grouped by the system, and then split them up on the basis of your own customer-specific criteria. You can use the BAdI BBP_SAVE_BID_ON_HOLD to determine whether or not a bid invitation should be published automatically.
The report passes on requirements to function module BBP_PD_SC_TRANSFER_MULTI_RFQ, where they are grouped, and converted into a bid invitation.
In a production run (that is, not a test run), the system issues error messages to the Application Monitor.
If necessary, you can copy this report, and change the selection criteria to suit your needs. You can start the report in test mode.
Note: In the sourcing application, you can determine which requirements are planned for the next report run by choosing Find -> For Grouping.
    Output
The report displays the purchase orders or bid invitations resulting from the grouping of the requirements. It also shows incorrect requirements that the system was unable to group into a purchase order or bid invitation.

  • How can we repair the output of  the downloaded excel in bid invitations?

    Hi
We are intrested in changing the current format of the downloaded file. We would like to remove the header lines and that only the item lines will be performed,  we  are also intrested of removing the columns: line category, Field Attribute, Change Key. The only columns we need to be performed in the file are: Document Number, Item Number, Item Description, amount, Delivery time.
Can anyone clarify how can this be done?

    Hi,
    Dave is right.

  • Add a new button to BID Invitation screen

    Hi,
How to Add a new button to Bid Invitation Screen in SRM?
    Thanks,
    Raveendra

    Hi
Which SAP Version you are currently on ? What is the exact requirement ?
If i understand you right, Incase you want to add a button to the existing screen template then it will require standard code change and also you need to plan out how will you will code the logic to activate the button.
There is no BADI which can do this as this is not a SAP funtionality. You need to do a little bit of research on this to get the job done.

  • SRM 4.0 - Upload function of Bid Invitations (Bidding Engine)

    Hello,
I am currently working on the Bidding Engine in SRM 4.0
I would very much like to use the Download/Upload function in Bid Invitations, but for now I have the feeling it doesn’t work.
I tested it by downloading a Bid Invitation and changing just one info like an item quantity or description. I put “U” (for “Update”) in the corresponding cell of the “Change” column. I also held the bid invitation in SRM before returning to it to upload the modified Excel-file.
When I upload the Excel file, I don’t have any error messages, but no changes are done either.
Does anyone of you have an idea how I could make it work?
    Thanks!
    Andrea

    Hi,
    Please do the following things.
Excel updown/download is very flexible functionality.
    (BADI : BBP_PD_DOWNLOAD)
    1. You can change the format (how the document should be downloaded, which fields : Control variants in BBPC_UP_DOWNLOAD table)
    2. You can also upload file (your own format : implement parsing method)
    3. You can add your own fields. (APPEND_UPLOAD_DATA)
We are working on one such scenario for Contract Upload.
You can also check the following notes.
There is a SAP Note on downloading BID file.
Note 734060 - SRM: Upload and download of documents using MS Excel
They have given one example in this note. This is a consulting note, you will find it

  • Fill the custom fields of backend PO from bid invitation

    Hi all,
From bid invitation I am generating a purchase order. A PO is getting created in the backend. But when I save the PO in the backend it gives an error because a custom field (created in both backend PO and bid invitation) is mandatory for creating a PO is not filled.  I have to map the Z field created in bid invitation to the custom field in backend. But in the badi ‘BBP_CREATE_PO_BACK’ there is no information regarding the quotation or bid invitation. Is there any way to get the bid or bid invitation details like bid guid or bid invitation guid or any other field which related the PO to bid in the badi ‘BBP_CREATE_PO_BACK’?
    Regards,
    Asha

    Hi Sundeep,
This problem looks to be a program error. SAP suggest few notes for the account assignment errors. However i could not found out any relation for this error w.r.t commodity code.
The related OSS notes are as under :
<b>Note 1000184 - Account assignment error when document transfer to back end</b>
<b>Note 966323 - Service Item: Not able to create PO in ERP backend</b>
The note 1000184 is more relavent in your case and other related notes are mentioned in that note which may resolve your issue.
Hope this note will definitely come to your help.
Please let us know the outcome for further help.

  • Automatic grouping and creation of a bid invitation

    Hello everyone,
we tried the automatic creation of a bid invitation in the case of items without assigned source of supply with report BBP_SC_TRANSFER_GROUPED.
We get the correct errors in the report log of missing start date and end date of the bid and missing the bidder, because I never entered the information. The system doesn't give me a chance to enter the information. It is automatic.
So what is this automatic creation of a bid invitation with report BBP_SC_TRANSFER_GROUPED for?
    Where is my mistake?
