Restricted Item LOV for Inventory Modules form

Hi
I want to customize Item LOV on miscellaneous transactions form in Oracle inventory module. I tried it through personalization by creating a record group but i found that there is no LOV attached with this field (LOV name required in Target Object field)
Can anybody come up with a solution?

What is the criteria for showing items in the Add items LOV for MDS?

I am trying to create an MDS. When I try to add the Item I (that is enabled in this Org), I do not see the item in the LOV. Any idea what setup needs to be done that I might be missing?

The problem was that I had not set the item to be an inventory item. After checking the inventory item checkbox, I am able to add the item to MDS.

Multiple line item display for PAYMENT ADVISE form(script) using F110 tcode

Dear All,
I am currently working on PAYMENT ADVISE script ( form ) - for which i have copied the
form F110_IN_AVIS to zform.
I am executing the form for output through executing Tcode - F110.
The output works for single line item entry of vendor line items - but doesnot support
for muliple line items.
I have checked the standard program - RFFOUS_C - which has include - RFFORI06 for remittance advice -which supports for single line item display.
Kindly advise me for the soultion of the same.

POXPOEPO (11.5.10) - Lov for Item Number

Dear All
I need to modify the above form. I need to limit the item lov for items supplied by the vendor. I can achive this by relating it back to the sourcing rules. By how do i modify the sql of the lov. Its not implemented using the normal lov and records groups. It seems to be implemented using library or user exists? I really appreciate any helpl on this.

Can't use LOV with item type "check box" in form

I have created a LOV that I want to use with a form application in 3.0.9. I need to be able to do multiple choices in this LOV (check box style) in the same query (only queries - users won't be able to update this field)
When I choose Check box as the item type in the form wizard I am not able to choose the LOV. I have to use combo box, popup or radio group for the LOV choices to appear, but then the query can only query for one value in the LOV at a time.
Is there a solution to this?

This feature is not supported as of now. You cannot have multi select LOV for a form field and hence a checkbox cannot have a LOV.

Dynamic LOV FOR TABULAR FORM 6i

Hi,
I have tabular form of two Items(ID,DESC) and I want to Populate LOV for item(ID) every record
and record_Group & SQL statments are stored in DB.
ACTION: when query in POST-QUERY Trigger get for every record in tabular form -- the stored SQL-Statment from table then put it into dynamic record_group and populate the dynamic LOV.

This form used for get reports
then header get the name of Report (Table-A) (report_ID),(report_desc).
then details for get the Parameters will send to report builder (Table-B) (detail_id),(report_id),(sql_stm).
so parameters may be need for example stock code so this record need to query from stocks table to get stock code and stock name.
next record for item Code so need to query from Items table to get the Item code and Item name
another report for employees so the user enter report code then when query and get in details block employee code and employee name.
so the lov will check if this record have query sql-statment or not if have execute it in the record_group then in lov
then go to the next record if sql_stm is null then no lov in this record and so on.

Is it possible to autocreate requisition from Projects for inventory items with destination type of inventory in a non-manufacturing organization?Also how ti budget for inventory items based on actual cost i.e. FIFO cost?

Thanks for your help, yes there was an error in the Material Transactions form, i have corrected and PA_TRANSACTIONS interface got updated. I issued the stock to Project and there was'nt any transaction transferred to Projects.
I just want to confirm one more thing, we are using FIFO costing method, if i procure same item for 2 different projects like Qty 1 with Rate 10 for Project 123 on 1st Jan 2010 and then i receive same item Qty 1 Rate 20 for Project 124 on 10 Jan 2010. Then everything will be transferred to Projects and Projects Expediture will be updated with the receiving Transactions.
Now what if, the stock is being issued in the reverse order than it was received. Like I enter Miscellaneous issue for Project 124 first, then as per FIFO rules system will pick Issue rate of 10 because it was received first......Due to this, dont you think its wrong from the system's point of view. Infact it should pick issue rate of 20 because it was received at 20.....
One more thing, While doing Miscellaneous Transaction with Projects enabled, do the Locator Project Number and Source Project Number needs to be same. If No then whats the control that stock received for one project should be issued against that project only.
Your thoughts on this scenario.

Tabular form - Different LOV for different rows

In a tabular form column, is it possible to have a select list whose values depend on some other column in the row? There doesn't appear to be a way to use #COL# notation to refer to current row values in the LOV query definition.

I have a SQL which populates a tabular form on the page.Coulmn1 some text, Column 2 is to show a drop down as YES and NO. i am trying to freeze the option for rows 2,3,4 as NO, if the Option choosen in first is NO.
So, what I am trying to ask is..can I save my first selection in a global variable and use it in where clause of [select list query] the second drop down..Not sure how I can do this..Appreciate if you can show me a direction.

Can I have a LOV for display and a LOV for select values in a form ?

My LOV are in table :
lov_return, lov_display, lov_available
To avoid a loss in translating lov_return in lov_display values, I manage a flag, lov_available, Y/N to filter out obsoleted values.
By example, at the beginning of using the application, I have :

And I have records with 1, 2 or 3 in the field corresponding with the LOV.
So far, so good.
Then I want to have a slightly different set of values in my LOV, for new records :

CENTER
N
3
BOTTOM
Y
4
CENTER-TOP
Y
5
CENTER-BOTTOM
Y
So, when I edit an old record in my form, I want the 2 to be well deciphered into CENTER, and in the SELECT list, I want TOP,BOTTON,CENTER-TOP,CENTER-BOTTOM.
When I assign the dynamic LOV : select lov_display d,lov_return r from lov_table where lov_available = 'Y', to the corresponding field in my FORM, even allowing extra values will not help and will display '2' instead of 'CENTER'.
Is there a way I can manage to show the translated 'CENTER' in the field, and offer a list of values taking in account the 'availability' of the value, other than including the PX_FIELD test in my SQL for the dynamic LOV ?

A common logical problem I encountered back the days of Oracle Forms.
A solution I often see is displaying invalid options with an asterisk, and applying validation to ensure users don't change to invalid selection.
No doubt there are some clever ways to tart this up with jQuery, also.

I badly need a solution of the below problem.
Say , i have table called user_col_comments now i want to display the table_name ,column_name and comments in a tabular form.I displayed only one row for the tabular form.Now i create a select query based LOV for attribute table_name where i got all table_name in drop down list.
Point is that after selecting any data from drop down table list i want to get the corresponding fields to be populated in column_name attributes.How can i wrote the select query based LOV for the attibute column_name.
I wrote it as 'select column_name d,column_name r from user_col_comments where table_name=:TABLE_NAME Its not working?
Similarly i want same thing to display for comments after matching both table_name and column_name.
Any solution to get rid of those problem will be highly appreciable...
If u need my htmldb.oracle.com userid and password to solve the problem i will sure let u email it.

I'm tryin to get over with Item master screen strech machenism. I've Added matrix at pane 6 and position is not fixed when ever form is rezised or base product font size is changed. I've alredy tried providing values to top left width height through oexisting item vaues, I'm not using any integer value. Let me know if i can freez it's position ....... Sample code below

I don't think you can do that easily, apart from maybe a custom version of the form with a custom view of the underlying data.
The problem you have is that the data is presented on the screen via a view; within the view definition, part of the join condition for retrieving the subject meaning will rely on the presence of a matching code in hr_lookups for the code that represents the subject. So, even if you took off the lookup logic from the field (assuming it's even possible to do that), there is a high probability that the 'free format' data won't be retrieved in any query.
