Restricting T-code Solution_Manager

Hi Gurus,
We recently upgraded our solution manager from 3.2 to 4.0, and this
system is connected to many oher tSAP Systems.
We would like know the below
1. Can we restrict users from creating/displaying solutions for the
systems which they are not authorized to?
For Eg: we are having systems A,B,C, D and would like give access for
user "X" to create and display solutions for only to the system "A",
which means when user "X" run the T-code SOLUTION_MANAGER, he will be
able to create and display solutions for only to the system "A".
how we can achieve this?
Thanks in advance!
Kind Regards
Praveen Kumar

Praveen,
Every Solution specified within TA DSWP has a unique identifier number.
This number can be used to create a new authorization role in TA PFCG with an authorization object which is called S_PROJECT (or similar).
Once this new role is created it can be assigned to an user.
A security and/or basis person should be able to help you further on this.
Let me know if you have more questions.
Best regards,
Roel

How do I back up my iphone5 to my ICloud account, whqen iI have forgot my restrictions password. My restrictions pass code has my icloud a account greyed out? Can i backup to a wd external harddrive, or try to backup to a new mini-mac, I just purchased yesterday? This is my first iMac and IPhone5, so i am kinda out on my own, and can use some pointers!! My phone is full of pictures, and will not download anything, until i store my pictures somewhere!!

If you don't remember your restrictions passcode, you will have to force the phone into recovery mode and restore it using iTunes. Do NOT restore your backup. The restrictions passcode is part of the backup.
Everything on the phone will be lost.
You can extract the photos from the camera roll the same way you would from any other digital camera. Having a restriction passcode set should not prevent that. do that before you put the phone in recovery mode and restore it.

  • How do I find out what the restrictions pass code is

My son is trying to purchase some additions to a game but when accessing the App Store he is asked for the restriction pass code. However we don't recall setting one up for him and he hasn't been asked for this before. Why? How do we find out what it is?  This is since upgrading to version 5.1.

If you restricted in-app-purchases in Settings/General/Restrictions, and you don't remember the restriction code anymore to disable the restrictions, you'll have to set up the iPod as new device again, without using the latest backup, the restriction code is part of the backup and can't be changed by restoring the device from a backup that has been taken after the code has been set.
How to back up your data and set up as a new device
If there are no restrictions set, the code he is asking for is the iTunes ID password, to be able to purchase and download. If you have forgotten that one, follow this article to reset it:

  • IN SRM UI addon - how to restrict Tax code and purch. group drop down value

    Hi All,
We recently implemented SRM UI add on, and before this we have a logic where based on the company code we used to restrict tax codes in the dorp down of tax code fields, however with new UI this logic doesnt work, is there any way to achieve this functionality.

You have to redefine the Method GET_DQUERY_DEFINITION of the Search View.
Check in some other serach components where this must have already been done to get the exact code.

Try erasing the device using iCloud.com - assuming that you were using iCloud and the Find my iPhone app on the device.
What to do before selling or giving away your iPhone, iPad, or iPod ...
if that doesn't work, try recovery mode.

Hi I'm Ashok ... I forgot my restriction pass code ... How can I get?

    Remove restriction passcode
    1. Restore to Factory Default

    2. You can restore from a backup that was done before you enable the Restriction Code.

  • HT201304 I forgot my restriction pass code , how do I retrieve it or change it?

I have forgotten my restrictions pass code.  How do I retrieve my pass code or how can I change it.  Thanks

There is no way to retrieve it. You have to restore to factory settings.
Restoring from a backup will simply restore the restrictions passcode that you cannot remember - unless in the unlikely event that you have a backup that predates the restrictions passcode, then you could restore from that backup.

  • Delete SAP Delivered Services in t-code SOLUTION_MANAGER

    Hello,
How can I delete the list of SAP Delivered Services in t-code solution_manager?
Operations -> Service Plan -> SAP Delivered Services.
I have a list of services 'Ordered by customer' with workbench status 'Initial'. These are not valid anymore and none exist with SAP.
    Cheers

    Hello,
Firstly you need to figure out how these services were created in the first place.
To delete sessions you can use the report RDSMOPREDUCEDATA.
    Important:
For step 3 in the deletion report select: "ALL SESSION TYPES"
For step 6: make sure that the checkbox is NOT select, so that you can
get an overview of the sessions before the deletion is processed.
Incase the Services were created but the corresponding sessions were not created corectly you would not be able to delete the services. The safest way in this case would be to open an Message with SAP for the cleanup.
If you are an expert in Solution Manager then you can clean up by deleting the entries directly in the tabl DSMOPSERSESSION. However this is NOT an recommended way of doing it.
If the report does not help then open an message with SAP. Safe and Sure way of getting rid of the sessions.
    Regards
    Amit

  • I cannot remember my restriction pass code, and I don't know how to retrieve it. Can someone help me, I'm new to this stuff!!

I set a restriction pass code, and when I tried to use it, it says it's wrong. But I had to put it in 2x so it can't be wrong. And I just set it this morning, so I didn't forget. It just won't let me in.

  • How to recover factory settings w/o "Restrictions Pass Code"?

I wish to give my late wife's iPad to her granddaughter, ...
I wish to restore factory settings -- making it like new ...
I cannot Restore Factory Settings without a 'Restrictions Pass Code' ...
    I don't have/don't know a Restrictions Pass Code ...
Online advice says, to reset Restrictions Passcode, "simply restore factory settings."
    Well, um, see #3 above.
Can anyone help me out here?
    Many thanks!
    Stephen

You can try to remember or get the passcode somehow. If not, the only other option is to wipe the device clean and restore it to factory settings.
Follow the instructions in  iOS: How to back up your data and set up your device as a new device http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4137 to restore the device to factory settings.
Once you have setup the device as a new one, you can then sync it back with your iTunes account and all your music, apps, contacts and any other content sync'ed with iTunes will be loaded on the device. Any content that is stored only on the device and not sync'ed with iTunes, like app logins or data, will be lost during this process. Be forewarned that this is a long process and can take a couple of hours or more to complete. This can be painful, but it is necessarily so to prevent users from working around the security settings. After the restore is complete, you can setup a new Restrictions passcode. Make a note of the passcode to avoid this situation in future.
     Cheers, Tom

  • How do I get the restriction pass code off ? I have forgotten the code.

I think you mean a restore to factory defaults/new iPad. See:

  • I put a restrictions pass code on my iPad and forgot the password. I tried to reset it to factory settings but that means I lose all my purchases and I don't wanna lose $ 25 worth of purchases. I tried restoring it but brings back restrictions code....

How do I get rid of the restrictions pass code but keep my apps?

You won't lose purchases. They can be downloaded to your iTunes library on your computer and backed up.
You can also redownload your purchases directly from your iPad after the restore by signing into the iTunes and App stores with your Apple ID:
Open iTunes Store app > Purchased
Open App Store app > Purchased
