Restricting the movement types...........URGENT ISSUE

Hi.. Every body,,,
Actully 'm, a basis consultant , i have problem with mb1b Transaction code..
Myproblem is
i have 4 plants 1,2,3,4 now i want to restrict the goods transfer between these plants like
01---02 -
accepted
0201--
accepted
0103--
not accepted
0104--
not accepted
0203--
not accepted
0204--
not accepted
And 1,2,3,4 plants must transfer goods to vendor
i'm trying by using movement types 301 for plant to plant transfer and 541 for plant to vendor
i have created two roles in one i was restricted company code 1 and 2 with movement types 301 and 541
and in another role i was resricted comany code 3 and 4 with movement type 541 only..
If i give thes two roles to diffrent users it is working fine, but if i give to same user but it is not working..
I don't have functional kw......This is an urgent issue.......please suggest how to restrict..

Restriction of Selecting Reason for movement based on the movement type

HI,
Defined Reason for movements for the movement types and made the field as " mandatory" in the control reason for the movement type.
So, during the Goods movement transaction it becomes mandatory to enter the reason for movement code.
But during the Goods movement transaction, it is possible to enter any reason for movement for any movement type. It needs to restricted with subject to the movement type.
Example:
Defined the Reason for movements 0001 & 0002 for the movement type 561.
Defined the Reason for movements 0003 & 0004 for the movement type 563.
During MB1C, now it is possible to select 0003 or 0004 for 561 as well as , it is possible to select 0001 or 0002 for 563.
it needs to be controlled w.r.to the movement type.
that is, if the movement type 561 is entered, then system should only allow the reason for movement either 0003 or 0004.
Is it possible to control, the selection of "reason for movement" based on the movement type ?

Check the transaction OMBS.Here you can make the entry of reason for movement mandatory check:controls and in reasons for movements you can maintain the allowed reasons for movement for the perticulatr movement type.

Restriction on movement type,storage location on USER ID

Dear Guru's,
I have to restrict movement type 311 on some storage location for some user ID.Following is already done but not able to restrict the movement of material on other storage location rather than defined:
1) Maintained authorization objet M_MSEG_LGO with two storage location ST01,ST02 and movement type 311.
2) Using BADI MB_MIGO_BADI and maintained Z table with USERID,Mvt type 311,storage location ST01,ST02.
Still we are able to do Mvt 311 on other that defined locations in authorization objet M_MSEG_LGO and Z table....
Kindly give ur valuable suggestion to resolve the issue......

For your requirement only I have suggested to create multiple role. In one Role you specify SLOC & MOvt type(only 311) in auth object M_MSEG_LGO & M_MSEG_BWE for slocs where you want 311 movt. In other Roles of goods movt you also specify other SLOCs & all other movt except 311. I mean in the other Role you cant keep the movt type as * in auth object M_MSEG_BWE.
So its a combination of SLOC & MVT tye. Try & give feedback

Restriction for Movement type 202

Dear SAP Consultants,
I want to make the restriction for Movement type 202 by material document.
The user should only be able to do the 202 Movement type in MB1B with reference of 201 Movement only .
Kindly give me the details for incorporating it .

HI,
202 movement type is the reversal movement type of 201 (goods issue to cost center)
when we cancel material document with 201 system create reversal posting with 202
And you can manually enter 202 movement type also in MB1A and MIGO
Now if you want to restrict user to use 202 directly
GO to OMJJ -> select movement type 202 ->allowed transaction ->Remove MB1A and MIGO and save
So you can only cancel a material document of 201 to create 202 not possible to create manually (without reference)
{IF in future needed you can always add those in OMJJ again}
You can cancel material document is through T. Code MBST
This will fully serve your purpose

Movement Type (URGENT)

Scenario : The store issues material to Production using MB1A, following this step I need the movement types & T-code for the following business scenario -
1. Production finds the material faulty & needs to return it to QC dept
2. QC dept finds some parts ok & returns it back to production
3. QC rejects the remaining items & has to return it to vendor for replacement (Note at this point, i wont have PO reference & hence cannot use T-code - MB01 with Mvmt type-122).

First Questions
Ans:We can return an item which has already been invoiced & paid.
Assuming that the parts are returning back to vendor on below options,
1.If the parts are damaged then we have to create debit memo against an items.
2.If we have an agreements/terms & conditions on warranty with the vendor for the buying parts then we can send the parts back to vendor to do the repair / refurbish / replace the parts.
3.Create Return for credit PO for an item that needs return to vendor , create a delivery and do the goods issue.
Second Questions
Ans: Using MB1B with mvt type 344 is the standard way to move the unrestricted stock to blocked stock for QC dept to do an inspections and as of my understanding there is no option in SAP to do an inventory stock movement by creating any order .

The movement type 262 is not working as expected

Hi,
I have issued a component using the movement type 261. When I try to reverse the issued material using 262 movement type, it is creating the material document number as movement type 261 only. Please let me know how to reverse the material using the movement type 262.
When I try with 262, I'm getting the error as serial number is already issued try some other serial number. The stock is not getting refreshed properly. 261 is working fine but not 262.

If you are using MIGO, use the combination of 'return delivery' with 'material document' (that was created with 261) - this works with full or partial reversals. If you simply want to cancel/reverse the entire document then use 'cancellation' with 'material document.

How can i restrict the Expenditure Type values at a specific OU ?

when navigating to any Projects responsibilty,and navigating the Expenditure Type field
the values exist are all the values implemented across the OU not the values entered at this OU
How can i restrict the Expenditure Type values at a specific OU

Hello
When you set up a project there is an option called Transaction Control.
This option allow you to list the allowed or restricted elements of costs for the project.
You may enter the transaction control on a project template and that will be copied to any new project.
The cost elements may be expenditure types, expenditures categories, suppliers, employees, etc.
In your case, I suggest to set up specific project templates for each operating units. On each template enter the list of allowed expenditures types for that OU.
Doing so, the system restricts users from entering any expenditure item, supplier invoice, purchase cost etc, against an expenditure type, which is not allowed.

I have copied one movement type from 303 to 403. I assigned the tcode o MB1B and MIGO.
Now I try to check in MB1B, Its no showing 403 mov type..but if I give manually, its allowing and working perfectlly..
Anywhere any setting is missing while copy the mov type in OMJJ..
Please Guide me.

I am not sure of functioning of mvt types 401-403 which donot have any updates (value wise) but only quantity wise updation is there. 403 is standard mvt type defined by SAP, I hope it is not relevant for transfer posting where quantity and value will be updated. When I tried with Tcode MB11, it is appearing where as for MIGO, MB1B/A it is not. Hope its functionality doesnt support these Tcodes.
When you copy any existing mvt type to other, use Z or X as prefix so that it will not fall under standard types.

MIGO : When the movement type field is changed in transaction is changed.

If the movement type field value is changed in the MIGO, i was getting a popup. this popup had a check box ( skip in future)
I selected this and was doing my testing. Now how to restore it back. please help.

Here in Menu Settings > Default values
Here click on "Redisplay tips already read"
And click on "Adopt" button and then check in MIGO, it will start displaying the message pop-up

2. Plant to Plant two Step - GI:303 & GR: 305
3. Stock. Transport Order. w/o SD - GI: 351 & GR: 101
4. Stock. Transport Order with SD - GI: 641 & GR: 101
5. Stock. Transport Order with billing - GI: 643 & GR: 101

i am doing retuns process when ever i do post goods reciept in the return delivery return stock should automatically go to the quality inspection stock.

In your return order schedule line category DN (DN is the schedule line category of the return order in standard ) you need assign movement type 655
If you assign movement type 655 when you do PGR for the return delivery, stocks will sit in Quality inspection directly
653 will move stocks directly to unrestricted (Strictly not advisable)
651 will move stocks to blocked customer returns (recommended by SAP)
