RESTRICTING XBLNR_LONG FIELD OF FIDCC1IDOC IN ECC6

Hi All,
The segemets E2FIKPF006 has been added to FIDCC1 idoc as part of ECC6.0.This segment contains the field XBLNR_LONG.
Could someone let me know how to restrict this field as we dont want to populate this field and send and the idoc.

Restrict metadata field during an update to a specific user group

Hello everyone,
I am having some trouble figuring out the best way to restrict permissions to change some metadata fields for 2 different groups of users.
I have two user groups, A and B. Group A will be checking in documents that the B group will then review for accuracy and quality. Group B will then update an optionlist field called "Status" with either "Recommended" or "Not Recommended".
This is not a workflow situation as the scope requires that all documents are immediately available for searching. I currently have a CheckIn and Search profile for the content permitting read write access to groups A and B. The "Status" field is hidden on the CheckIn page. Can anyone please suggest a good way to restrict the field "Status" on an Update page to just "B" users? Groups A and B should be able to update all fields with the exception of the B restricted "Status" field.

Hey rMac,
I understand it this way you have one profile for A and B user groups. On this profile Status field is hidden.
If this is your problem you can approach it from two places, while making the rule for hiding the Status field, use rule activation condition. Make it active only for users with Role A . This way even with single profile some of the user with Role B will be able to see the Status field.
otherwise you can put similar code in Restrict Personalization Link where in you make this hidden field editable and compulsory for Users in B.

Doubt in restricting table field value

I Want to restrict one field in my table to have only predefined values. ie, I have a field named Status which can have only 2 values either 'Present' or 'Absent'. How to make this constraint enforced in the table ?

First of all which date field you want to restrict to systems date can you be more specific debajyothi
But In VOV8 , there is a pricing date field , if you customize it as per your requirement , like if you keep it blank then it will be systems date , or billing date , delivery date etc this can be one input if it is related to pricing
Even as you said in copy controls if you change the sub- routine then it will work

Assign Fields to Field Selection Groups
To define whether a field is hidden or displayed, or whether an entry is mandatory or optional in material master maintenance, you must assign the field to a field selection group. You may assign a field to one field selection group only.
Before including customer-defined fields in a field selection group together with standard fields, or assigning standard fields to a different field selection group, familiarize yourself with the assignment of fields to field selection groups in the standard R/3 System.
Standard settings
The values of the field selection groups have been preassigned as follows:
001-110 Material master for industry
111-120 Reserved for customers (except where the values are already in use)
121-150 Material master for industry
151-210 Material master for retail
211-240 Reserved for customers
Recommendation
If possible, use the setting in the standard R/3 System. No further action is then required. If you want to make individual fields inaccessible, the easiest way is to group them together in a single field selection group and to set it to Display or Hide.
Activities
1. Check the setting in the standard R/3 System.
For this, you need to know the data screen on which the relevant field appears in the material master, and the name of the screen field, for example, MARA-MEINS in the case of the base unit of measure.
2. If necessary, change the assignment of fields to field selection groups as required.
Further notes
In the case of long texts, you define whether the entire screen is hidden or displayed, or whether entries are mandatory or optional. For this reason, each screen has been assigned to one of the following dummy fields:

Detail of my req :
In tcode SE19 if you give classic badi impl name as HRRCF_DOC_UPLOAD and display you will find a class CL_IM_HRRCF_DOC_UPLOAD just double click and then select the second method CHECK_ATTACH_FILE_SIZE and up side click on parameters here one parameter is there called CONTENT type is string and i have to ristrict it to 3 MB how i can do it ?

Restrict the field selection

Hi,
i would like to restrict the field selection upto 20 from left to right pane in the field choice popup.
when the user cliks on the push button in selction screen, pop up will come for field selection for sorting order. now user will have a facility to move the fields from left box to right box, where we have to restrict only 20. if it exceeds, need to pass a message.
Could some one help on this.

may i ask why you are granting this transaction? would it not be more efficient and less a risk to distribute materials using change-pointers and put the whole thing to batch?

Restriction of Field Change in VL02N change(After PGI)

In outbound delivery we are using the following fields:-
1.     Means of Tr id:- LIKP-TRATY
2.     Means of Tr. Type:- LIKP-TRAID
3.     Shipping Conditions:- LIKP-VSART
4.     Special Procedure Indicator:- LIKP-SDABW
The same fields are being used in pricing conditions.
However, even after PGI is done the fields can be amended in delivery using VL02N. The system does not turns the fields grey even after PGI and fields are still amendable.

Selection field becomes invisible in ECC6

Hi,
Here is the issue:
I had developed new program in old version 4.7 long back. It was working fine on production system.
Then we upgraded from 4.7 to ECC6.
Now I did one modification in selection screen. Added one more field in selection screen.
It works fine in development and test system. But I am not able to see this field in production.
In program I can see the code for added field. If I execute selection screen separately, thats works fine too.
But when I call it with program I cant see this field.
Please reply me asap if somebody has faced same issues..

Thanks Kiran for ur reply.
But program has been re-imported 2-3 times successfully. So I do not think it is transport issue.
Also I have activated the program in production. Even that didnt work.
And I do not have authorization to generate version in production system.
I am still clue less because I can execute the selection screen separately and I can see that field.

In case you want to restrict the display with the select-options or parameters then simply use the extension

Native web service - min occurs restriction of fields

Greetings,
I'm using native web services to expose a store procedure as a web service. The store procedure uses an object as an input parameter as I need to expose a complex nested structure. However all the fields from that object as exposed as mandatory in the generated WSDL file as no min-max occurs restriction is applied.
My question is, is there any way to modify that generated web service in order to set some of those fields as optional? (the generated xsd should have a min occurs = 0 restriction for those fields).

Actually, I have a table with three columns and four rows.
My webservice's response is a list of users containing four informations for each user (login, name, email and division). Each information is binding to one case of the second column.
For example if the list is :

I can see the usage, but i want to read the actual text. We suspect that my girlfriends teen age daugther is sending/receiving in appropriate messages. The problem is, that we only have her on weekends and her dad has her on weekedays and has refused to help us in the matter. To be able to view the info that I want, a seperate account has to be set up with her phone number, and the only way to do that is to set up the password, which sends the verification text to her line. This is the problem because we dont want her to know about it.
