Restriction of a mvt type

hello gurus
Can i get an idea of how do i restrict a particular t code for a certain mvt type. like issuing of goods for a process order by mb1a n mvt type 261 only. no other mvt type will be allowed.

Hi,
You can restrict the transaction for a movement type in OMJJ
using the tab allowed transactions.
But ensure that you are not making any changes to the standard ones. You can customize a movement type and then do the restrictions on the transactions.
The resrtiction can also be done at the user level, through the roles and authorizations.. for which you contact your basis guy,

Restriction of goods reversal with 262 mvt type in MIGO

Hi,
During goods reversal using mvt type 262 with reference to a production order, we are able reverse any amt of qty, I want to restrict the reversal to the extent of other than confirmed qty.
Eg. Order qty 10 EA, GI done 10 EA (BOM 1:1), confirmed qty 5 EA. I should be able to reverse only 5 EA or less and not more, as 5 EA already consumed.

This check can only be possible using user exit "EXIT_SAPMM07M_001" of Enhancement MBCF0002, you can write your logic in Include ZXMBCU02.

You can use this enhancement exit MB_CF001, this exit will be called every time before posting, you can use your logic in this exit. see its documentation first before implementing.

How to stop user from using 961 mvt type in MB1C transaction code?

Hi Friends,
We have two companies. Already we have restricted end user for using 961 & 962 mvt type in MB1C transaction code in one company code 1000. Now, we want to restrict end user for using 961 & 962 mvt type in MB1C transaction code in other company code 1200.
I have checked configuration using OMJJ transaction. But, it is there so there may be some different way of control.
Can any body help me?

Hi,
To restrict/block the movement type, the steps are:
1. use transaction code OMJJ.
2. Enter the movement type you want to block.[From 961 To 961](do for both961& 962)
3. Select the Second option in the List which appears in the left. (Allowed Transaction).
4. Remove the transaction codes (MB1C)from where you do not want to use that particular movement type& save.
For user specific to block the movement type, pl consult Basis Consultant.

Mvt type 301 'o'

Hi All,
We have the issue in the subcontracting :
we have 2 plants 0920 and 0931 . the subcontract vendor has assign to both the plant with the same vendor account number vc21707.
we do manufacturing one assmy by the above subcontract. for that we send the components of the assmy from the plant 0920. and they doing the process. after that we need to do GRIR for the assmy to the plant 0931. since we lock out the old palnt 0920.
client do not want the classical process. reverse the material and sto b/w plants and send thru new plant.
instead they need do the transfer the suncontrator stock which is given from 0920 to the new plant 0931
i.e. need to tranfer the subcontractor stock account from one plant to other plant account ,in which the vendor no is same to both the plant
how the mvt type 301 'o' type is used for this, do any configuration is needed.

You can use only 301 O if stcok is already insubcontractor stock and you are transferring to other plant in the same stcok type.
but when doing this system check the restricted sub-contractor stock , but we have the unrestricted sub contractor stock.
thats why system show the error

Dear you can restrict users to consume the stock from secondary storage locations by defining the main storage locations for raw materials in BOM components in item details in status/Lng.Txt so whenever you create production order manually or through planned oder the main storage location defulty copied so user can't change that location and insert secondary location.
Check and Revert.

There is no provision to assign Release Strategy to material Doc. However this can be restricted at Authorisation level for T code MB1B / MIGO_TR.

During initial entry of stock balances, when the R/3 system is active, you enter the physical warehouse stock figures or the book inventory from your old system into the R/3 Materials Management component. This data entry usually takes place by means of batch input.
Define new movement types as follows:
You can create new Mvt type by copying Mvt type in OMJJ and follow the following steps
Check whether you can use the preset movement types.
If not, define new movement types as follows:
1. Once you have carried out the activity, the system displays a dialog box for field selection. In this, you can restrict the movement types you work with to various fields. To copy a movement type, select the field Movement type and choose Continue. The dialog box Define work area appears.
2. In the dialog box Define work area, enter the movement type you want to copy in the From: field. In the To: field, enter the name of the new movement type you want to create. To go to the overview of the
selected movement types, choose Continue.
3. Select the movement type you want to copy, and choose Edit -> Copy as.
Overwrite the selected movement type with the new movement type (beginning with 9, X, Y, or Z) and copy all dependent entries. The system copies all control indicators from the reference movement type to the new movement type.
4. Check all views for the new movement type and, if necessary, change the control indicators. Please note that some views have a detail screen.
5. Copy the reversal movement type and enter it in the view Reversal/follow-on movement types.
6. Save

3. J1IS u2013 Excise Invoice Other Movements
4. J1IV - Post and Print Outgoing Excise Invoice.
5. MIRO - Credit memo w.r.t. Returns PO.
Payment to Vendor is not done then
1. MIGO > Return delivery > Material Document (Here refer GR doc, system will determine mvmt type "122" automatically)

MB1C for 521 mvt types

Hi,
I was doing MB1C with 521 mvt type (Receipt without order ) .
Then its asking for the 'order no' , which is shown as mandatory field.
Why it is like this , if it is receipt without any order no , why it should be a mandatory entry.
Can anyone please help me?

Hi,
It appears from the selection you made for the transaction, order number is not required. But , the actual functionality depends on the customisation done.
Please check the option entered for the field "AUFNR" for the movement no 521 , usig the following menu path in SPRO :
SPRO - Inventory Management and Physical Inventory - Settings for Enjoy Transactions - Settings for Goods Movements (MIGO) - Field Selection per Mvt Type.
For movement type 521 , the option of "optional field " should be selected.
Then your problem would be solved.
How ever consult other functional experts at your place as , this selection is generally a business strategy/requirement ( after the initial activities , some of such functionalities are intentionally restricted , to improve accountability)

second part to your query is answered few days back only in this forum..normally whenever we want some specific account to be hit against a movement type , we can create a new movement type.for better answer search this forum (key word new movement type).
Description of Movement Types
Below you will find a short description of the standard movement types. The reversal movement type is the movement type + 1 (reversal of 101 = 102).
101 Goods receipt for purchase order or order
If the purchase order or order has not been assigned to an account, a stock type (unrestricted-use stock, stock in quality inspection, blocked stock) can be entered during goods receipt.
If the purchase order or order has been assigned to an account, the goods receipt is not posted to the warehouse, but to consumption.
In the case of non-valuated materials, the goods receipt is posted to the warehouse, although the purchase order has not been assigned to an account.
Possible special stock indicators:
     K Goods receipt for purchase order to consignment stock
     O Goods receipt for purchase order to stock of material provided to vendor
     E GR for purchase order or order to sales order stock
     Q GR for purchase order or order to project stock.
Goods receipt for
subcontract order: at goods receipt, the consumption of the components is posted at the same time (see movement type 543)
Goods receipt for

Movement type 121 does not have a reversal movement type.

You can use this movement type to carry out a transfer posting from your own unrestricted-use stock, other sales order stock, consignment stock, and project stock to a sales order stock.

Example:

You can also use this movement type without referencing a purchase order.

Enter Tcode MB51...Enter Mvt type 103 and in to enter 105..
Now clcik on F8 Button...It will display you the result as per what you have expected..

Mvt type 103 and 105

Dear all,
I am doing GRN through 103 mvt type of 100 Qty. But at the time of 105 Mvt type qty found 90 that means 10 Qty still pending in block stock. How to process with 10 Qty in block stock which is due to vendor mistake. Please suggest exact procedure and accounting effect on the same.

While posting the document against the movement type 103, no FI documents get generated becasue there is no valuation for the materials at the blocked storage Location. The FI document is generated with the movement type 101 and 105.
In this case, you can cancel the material document number created by the movement type 103 by 104. Then again you will have to do the GRN in 103. The quantities in the material document number created by 103 movement type can't be modified.
Secondly, if you have the final GRN against the 103 document, then you will have to return the stock by movement type 122.

Report to check the stock transfer through 303 mvt type

Hi,
I understand that the stock transfer can be done through two ways
1. Using 351 against UB PO and go MIGO using 101 --> Can be checked in the report MB5T, for stock in transit
2. Using 303 and 305 mvt type --> the stock lies in Stock trans(Plant)
When we do 303 mvt type, is there any standard report to check the stock in stock trans (Plant) ? Please let us know.
