Restriction pass code locked
my 4 year old has pass code locked us out in the restrictions tab. He does not remember the code and we are know unable to access the iTunes or app stores. anyone have a solution?
To remove the Restrictions passcode you will need to either...
1) Restore the Device as New... See Sections 5 and 6 here...

Can the restrictions pass code be different than the auto lock pass code. Defeats the purpose if a child can get into restrictions using the same code that is used to prevent unauthorized access to the phone itself.

I want to reset my iPod. Every time I go to reset it, it says that I need to put in my lock screen pass code then my restriction pass code. I don't remember what the code is. Every time I try I get it wrong and then I have to wait 60 minutes just to try again. I need to know how to figure out this restriction thing so I can reset my iPod. Please help!!!!

There is no way. You must restore the device as new. You can only restore a backup you made prior to when you put the restriction code in place.

If you don't remember your restrictions passcode, you will have to force the phone into recovery mode and restore it using iTunes. Do NOT restore your backup. The restrictions passcode is part of the backup.
Everything on the phone will be lost.
You can extract the photos from the camera roll the same way you would from any other digital camera. Having a restriction passcode set should not prevent that. do that before you put the phone in recovery mode and restore it. -

There is no way to retrieve it. You have to restore to factory settings.
Restoring from a backup will simply restore the restrictions passcode that you cannot remember - unless in the unlikely event that you have a backup that predates the restrictions passcode, then you could restore from that backup. -
How to turn off Pass Code lock
I am using Google Apps. I setup my iPhone 4s Mail account following these instructions, http://support.google.com/mobile/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=138740. As instructed I used the Microsoft Exchange account. Later I set up a pass code and turned Pass Code lock ON. Mail works perfectly, however I am not given the choice to turn Pass Code lock Off. I do not believe Microsoft Exchange requires Pass Code Lock as I setup another user's iPhone 4s the same way, but never activated Pass Code Lock. (On this phone I still have the option of setting up a Pass Code and turning it on.)

Your only choice is to place the phone in DFU mode (search Google for instructions) and restore as a new device. You will lose all your data.
