Restrictions activated

Restrictions on my Phone. I have a new IPhone4. The phone says that the restrictions have been activated and it's asking for am 4 digit pin. I have never set the restrictions. is there a default pin? if not how can I reset the phone?

The Restrictions passcode is included with your iPhone's backup. If you restore your iPhone with iTunes from your iPhone's backup, the Restrictions passcode will be restored with it.
The only way to change this is by restoring your iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from your iPhone's backup. If there were a way to reset this without restoring the iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from the iPhone's backup, there wouldn't be much point in having a Restrictions passcode in the first place, and the same applies to the Passcode Lock.

Hello,
Has anyone encountered issues with restricting the Active Directory dynamic ports for Netlogon and NTDS in Server 2012? I have followed the added the typical registry entries as described below but I still see my RDS gateway in the DMZ trying to communicate
to my internal DC over other ephemeral ports (49158). I have rebooted the DC after the registry changes and still no effect. Are the reg entries the same in 2012? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

There are at least two options that can be used to allow replication when there are network traffic filters (aka firewall) in the network, across two DCs:
1. Use registry keys on the DCs to force communication over specific ports
2. Use IPsec to restrict the traffic to two ports only (IP 50 and IP 51)
I tried to find some relevant documents, but could not find support for restricting the Active Directory dynamic ports for Netlogon and NTDS in Server 2012. You could refer to the following article, it may help you to solve your issues:

Do you want to limit the size of attachment that can be downloaded?
If you want to do this, you can use the
Set-ActiveSyncMailboxPolicy cmdlet with MaxAttachmentSize parameter to specify the maximum size of attachments that can be downloaded.

Authorization restriction for BP transaction

Hi,
We need to restrict the BP transaction access to user in the below mentioned way in our SRM system.
1. Restricting BP access to all the users with display access.
2. Restricting BP access to security users with create, change and display access.
What is the main object for BP transaction for restricting access in the above mentioned scenarios?
Here, we have observed one more issue like....
Let say object-B_BUPR_BZT(not sure) is a main object for transaction-BP. If we restrict activity to 03 in that object, it will give display access when we are executing transaction-BP.
Some of other transactions(like PPOMA_BBP) are there in SRM, those are also maintaining same object with all activities(create,change,Display).
In this scenarios, how the above mentioned restriction is going to help the user.
Please check and advice in this.

It may be a "main object" for BP, but that doesn't tell you much at all about the security aspects or where in the logic of the transaction it is used. This object is for example not a part of the business logic of transaction SE80, or that I am sure.
If you have no clue, then start in SU21 and read the application help documentation on the transaction (to understand it's context) and the use-cases of the object - also to find the other transactions. Then you will become more sure.
You also need to understand that in the same way the transactions, reports and the "real checks" are layers in the security, objects themselves can also be selective and layered in a conceptually consistent way, or (to make it more interesting...) transaction dependently.
There are lots of shortcuts (even out-of-the-box roles which someone might try to sell you...) but ultimately if you use a SAP system to "build" your business processes, then you need a concept to secure your build. SAP owns the authority-checks in standard programs to enable the process to comply with legal requirements and some common sense.
=> So, you need to choose your transaction (or other entry point) carefully and understand the objects which they use.

Activity type and CAT2

Hi friends,
my client have employee who had activity type for 2009 (ACS001) and we planned this activity type with cost center(2114200001) in kp26.
Belong 2010 year this person should not post in this activity type(ACS001), but other person with different cost centers can post in this activity type. So we not planning there cost center in kp26.
But the problem is when person create mistake and post in cat2 for this activity type(ACS001) some hours for 2010.
The system create only warn messages 'No activity prices exist for 2114200001/ACS001'.
When employee push enter the system accept record.
So i think that we have several decision:
1.With user rights to restrict activity type(ACS001).
2. Create new analysis period for ACS001. Now this period is from 01.2005 to 12.2999year.
and split in to periods 1 period 01.2005 - 12.2009 and 2 period from 01.2010 to 12.2999.
3.Create validation in HR
4.Change messages type BK - 057 from warn to error. Here i think that is impossible.
So how what type of decisions is better, and flexible?

2 possibilities:
1: OBA5 change message control, you can set this message to "ERROR" on SAP-user level.
2: If the combination of cost center 2114200001 and act. typa ACS001should not be used anymore in FY 2010 create a new validity interval for both masterdata and use the field "cost center category" in cost center master data / activity type master data to "unlink" cost center / act. type.

2008 Failover cluster unable to create computer account

I have created a 2008 R2 Failover cluster and I am trying to add a Fail over File server to this.
I get the dreaded
Cluster network name resource 'OfMaClusterFS' failed to create its associated computer object in domain 'xxx.domain' for the following reason: Unable to create computer account.
The text for the associated error code is: Access is denied.
Please work with your domain administrator to ensure that:
- The cluster identity 'OFMACLUSTER$' can create computer objects. By default all computer objects are created in the 'Computers' container; consult the domain administrator if this location has been changed.
- The quota for computer objects has not been reached.
- If there is an existing computer object, verify the Cluster Identity 'OFMACLUSTER$' has 'Full Control' permission to that computer object using the Active Directory Users and Computers tool.
I have created clusters frequently in the past, on my own Domains that I am a domain admin of. Now I am trying to make one on our larger corporate domain that I am not a domain admin of and get this error.
By default, domain users can not add computer accounts to our domain. I do however have an limited account that can add computers to the domain... but I have tried all the tricks I can think of to try and add the Network name to AD and no luck.#
I have tried running the cluster service with this account, but it is still trying to use the OFMACLUSTER$ identity to create the Network name. I have tried manually creating the network name using my limited account, but that doesn't work either,
same error. I don't have the ability to change permissions on the computer name I added for the network name to AD.
I have raised a ticket to our wintel team to try and get them to help, but they aren't exactly the most responsive bunch. I'm just wondering what the best way around this problem is if I am not a domain admin and I can't make the changes I need, or
what concise instructions I can give to the domain admins so that they can help me out without saying that it is a security breach etc.
I would appreciate any advice on this as it's now urgent and also something I will have to do in the future fairly regularly and don't want to get caught in the situation in the future.

Windows 2012 Failover Cluster - File server role (vCO)

I wonder if anybody can shed some light on a query i have.
A windows 2012 failover cluster will be built in AD domain example.uk. Cluster File server roles will be created and will reside in this domain also.
We also have a requirement to run a cluster file server role in the child domain off secure.example.uk. Is this possible? or do the file server roles and related vCO's have to reside in the same domain as the cluster (CNO).
I know the CNO can be used to create the VCO but could a prestage a VCO in the child domain of secure.example.uk.

Hi Mark,
By default CNO will create
VCO automatically in default domain computer OU, we generally use the
KISS principle to place the CNO and VCO to the same OU, and as far as I know there no known design document indicate the VCO can be placed in different domain, therefore I suggest you place the CNO and V CO at same OU.

Lock Condition for posting

We have a requirement to lock certain conditions in a contract for posting.
The workaround is to take note of such conditions in a contract and exclude the same while running the RERAPP but this is not feasible in our current scenario as billing team is different from accounting team.
Number of contracts are also huge (about 40000+). Billing team liaise with tenant and if there are any issues, would like to block the condition for posting. Accounting team will run RERAPP without this knowledge and if the lock option is activated, then this condition will not get posted.
Similarly we have an additional requirement that retroactive adjustments (follow on cash flow) should be posted separately in RERAPP. Now in this case, flow type is the only differentiating factor because due date of retro adjustment may be same as of regular cash flow item.

If you just only want to prevent/restrict certain conditions of contract posting activity
(RERAPP),you simply consider about this method as below ;
1) You can define the RE Authorization Object for the restrict activity of certain
      condition in the Accounting team role.
      -   Authorization Object : F_RECD_CN
      -   Activity : 02 (Change)
      -   Condition Type : Except for the certain conditions.
      but this method can not be suitable, when account team try to run RERAPP
      with check the "Do Not Update Conditions" option.
    So, you can consider the easiest way by applying the "Enhancements"
   2) Apply the Enhancements for Periodic Posting.
        - Enhancement Spot : BADI_RE_RA_CA
        - BADI : BADI_RERA_POSTING_PARAM
          (Periodic Posting: Restrict Selection of Cash Flow Records)
        - Method : SUPPRESS_CF_ITEM
        - Example : you can defined your own customer-specific parameters such as
                   "Check the Certain Condition & User role/department for suppressing"
but how about this..,when you design the lease account management process,
it seem better to rebuild the contract creation and contract posting process bwtween
contract management team and account team ahead of the technical processing.

Vid 0166 problem

Using DW CS3 in Windows Vista Ultimate,
First I viewed the video tutorial which worked fine.
I downloaded the files for Vid 0166; Spry Framework for
Ajax., printed the tutorial pages, unzipped the files, set-up a
site with the unzipped files, and followed the instructions.
The first instruction is to view the file events\index.html
and test the Spry function is working.
A dialog box opens with the message: "Exception caught while
loading events.xml: [object Error]"
The tutorial indicates the browser may be responsible by
restricting Active X contenet. I veriried this is no the problem.
I completed the tutorial based on 05_ajax_spry,html and all
steps were completed without problems.
When the site was tested using IE 7, the same error message
appeared.
Finally I built a separate XML file and rebuit the
application again with the same result.
Any advice would be welcome.

Can i stop the ipone from being restored without my knowledge?

I am the Internet Safety Manager for our Non Profit organisation and want to know if there is a way of restricting the ability to "restore" the iphone.
Even when you have the "Restrictions" active they can be easily by passed by just doing a restore. Can i set the iphone or iTunes to send me an email if a restore is done or can i restrict it altogether, or can i put a password on the Restore function?

Find My Phone REQUIRES an internet connection in order to work. Either WiFi or Cellular Data. So, if you turn off Cellular data, you're defeating Find My Phone.

Authorization to delete

Using transaction PU00 giving the user authorization to delete an employee.
I want to permit the user only to delete the employee.
I dont want to give a permission to read or write or update. Only delete. How can I do it

I advise you to make test of these transaction (it will be better if a functional employee of HR help you to test). Add these transaction to a test role in QA or DEV client.
Using Authorization trace (via ST01), check the authorizations the Tx need to delete, read, create or modify. Check the auth. objects and values. As for sure, there will be an object wich demands activity 01, 02, 03 and etc. Usually, activity "06" is for delete, "03" read, "01" create, and so on.
Then restrict the values to the activities you want. Then, you can restrict these objects in all roles that belongs to users wich you want to restrict activity (don't forget authorization addition)

I am trying to archive print documents for the first time in our system. Rention period is passed for these documents.
When I am running the Print Document Line Item Archiving write job it is coming back with no data. I checked these documents are printed no other event is implemented to stop these documents from getting archived.
