Resubmit document for Approval

I have a pool of documents which have previously been approved and released but now need to be reviewed and re-approved. Is there anyway to push them back into a Workflow (without resubmitting a new revision)?

Is it a basic or criteria workflow?
If it is a criteria workflow, you could use Archiver to export/import.

    I've created the document set and its working fine. Only I'm facing issue with Permission.
    I've created Document Set in Document Library in SharePoint 2013. Here for this document set I've created
    OOTB workflow from SharePoint Ribbon. So here User A will upload the document and User B will review put comment and approve or reject. 
    I've admin access so in the Document Library Setting "Permissions for this document library " I
    clicked on "Inherit the Permission" and added these users A & B with Design access.
    Now user A is able to login and upload the files in document set but to create or use the Document Set which
    I've created he is getting error "Sorry, you don't have access to this page". 
    Now here I want to give access to user A and B only for the Document Library so they can access/use the Document
    Set which I've created, Upload the Document and user B can approve it. Also here in Left Navigation I want to show user A & B "Task" option which is also not showing to view the "Approval Status".

  • Submit a document for approval and accompany with supporting documents

    Frequently, the document that is being submitted for approval, requires to be accompanied by supporting documents which may be Excel spreadsheets and/or Word documents and/or Autocad Drawings and/or PDF documents.
    How can I route these supporting documents along with the document being processed for approval?

    Do you have Sharepoint Standard License?
    I think what you need is start working with Document Sets. You can create workflow to Documents sets that treat multiple documents as if it's an archive.

  • Two log-ons before viewing the PO document for approval.

    Hi Workflow Experts,
    We have a problem wherein the system requires the PO approver to log-on twice before viewing the PO for approval.
    The customer requirement is to approve a PO using workflow. Below is the brief description of the scenario;
    DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENT:
    Step 1.  A purchaser creates a Purchase Order and saves it.
    Step 2. An email notification is received by the approver. In the notification, an attachment is double-clicked to activate the
                log-on screen (this is an OS log-on). The approver logs into the OS log-on screen then the system directs the approver
                the PO for approval.
    PROBLEM:
             In step 2, another log-on screen (this is the SAP log-on) appears after the approver was logged in the OS log-on.
            HOW CAN I REMOVE THE SECOND LOG-ON SO THAT IT WILL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENT OF ONLY ONE LOG-
            ON.

    For this you have use Single Sign On. This the business needs to decide. If the user is only facing the issue then the Single Sign On is not working. Search the SDN with Single Sign on and probably ask the appropriate team to allow this user to do SSO.

    Pick any one of the following T Codes
    F-02, F-22, F-43
    After entering the Invoice details, go to menu bar. There select DOCUMENT –> PARK. Then it will display a message "Document no ******* was parked". Remember the document number.
    Then use T code FBV2. Here give Company Code, Above parked document no and Fiscal year and press enter. Then your parked document will be displayed. To mail this to higher authority, in the same screen you will find a SERVICE FOR OBJECT button. Press it. Then it will display one more toolbar. There select SEND OBJECT WITH NOTE button. In the next screen give the name of Recipient, to whom you want to send this mail and select SEND button. I think this will clear you doubt.

    hi how can we change the status of an archived document in KM after it has gone thru the approval process.

    have a look under System Administration - System Configuration -- Knowledge Management -- Configuration --Content Management -- User Interface -- Commands -- UI Command Groups -- StatemanagementGroup.
    See Java class: com.sapportals.wcm.rendering.uicommand.cm.UIStatemanagementGroupCommand. Take the class and decompile this and everything needed around to understand how this class works.
    Then you can choose to extend this CommandGroup to also have a command "Resubmit for Approval" or you can implement your own UI Command only for resubmitting (you will also have to activate your command (group) by settings within the configuration).
    On the other hand, if all this is completely new to you, I'm a bit sceptical if the task isn't a bit too big as a first task on KM implementation topics...?

  • Did the user open the document before approving it? How to log this in workflow logs?

    My workflow on Document Library needs to keep logs of:
    - When a user is assigned the document for approval/rejection, did he actually open it or download it before approving?
    How to get this information please in workflow logs please? (I know this information exists in SharePoint Audit logs but that does not work for me - I need this in workflow logs).

  • Submit for approval in KM - automatically?

    Hi guys!
    When I create document in folder, where Approval process is enabled , I have to click on "Submit for approval", when I want to send document for approval.
    Is it possible to send it for approval automatically? SO I create document and it is automatically sent to approvers inbox..

    I think without coding no way.
    You can create a repository service which will listen to events like <b>ResourceEvent.CREATE_CHILD</b>. When the event is caught the repository service will submit the resource for approval. For more info about repository services just search the SDN (or let me know).

      I you have configured approval process and you are receiving notification in Recent Notification iview, it's working fine, you should check:
    The UWL interacts with (task) item providers through specific connector. The connectors perform basic mapping of attribute values and determine the work item type and execution method. Connectors also help in connection to object and attachment repositories to retrieve additional custom attributes or attachments.
    The UWL comes with standard provider connectors and it is possible to configure their detailed behavior based on work item types.
    The connectors that are configured by default with UWL are:
    ·        AdHocWorkflowConnector
    ·        ActionInboxConnector
    Both connectors are configured by default, so both Collaboration Tasks and KM Recent Notifications show up in the UWL by default. Removing the connectors will remove the corresponding items from the UWL.
    ActionInboxConnector
    This connector relates to the Notifications received by UWL from Knowledge Management (KM).
    The ActionInboxConnector provides KM Recent Notifications into the UWL Notification tab, which include document feedback, subscription items, subscription administration, and document approval notifications; in addition, checked out documents appear under Tracking, and documents for approval under Tasks.
    By default the Action Inbox Connector for UWL is enabled.

    Apple sent an email:
    "Invalid Signature - Make sure you have signed your application with a distribution certificate, not an ad hoc certificate or a development certificate.     I'm sure I used the Distribution certs.
    Since I'm using Flash and not Xcode, what are the possible problems?

    It works for all the lines in Sales Order.Even If there is a single item with Price before Discount not equal to Sales Price List Value,
    System will send the document for approval.
    I have put the condition $[$38.14.NUMBER] ! = ITM1.Price assuming that the price in SO should be exactly equal to Sales Price Price  List .
    Try this query at your end and let me know the result.

    now company changed the users for approving authority , so i have to change the authorised person name . can some one help me where to go to change their name in DMS.

      you should run transaction SUIM - User information system: then select the row "Roles --> By authorization values": in the field that will show up enter the name of the authorization object, that's to say C_DRAW_STA, then press the button"Entry values", put the Document type and the document status, then execute. The list of the roles containing that authorization object, with the values you are intersted in, will be displayed: then you have to enter in each role, open the tab "User", and there you will have the list of the users with the authorization to put that status for that document type. There you have to enter the name of the new user that shoud perform the release of the document.
      However you should also check if any SAP workflow task is  implemented to follow up the release steps.

    To enable Approve Purchase Orders, you must perform the following configuration task:
    Specify the workflow tasks that are relevant for approving purchase orders. You do this in Customizing for Materials Management under Purchasing Purchase Order Approve Purchase Orders App Specify Workflow Task IDs for Approve Purchase Orders App .
    But I am not able to see this category. Could you please help point where it is?
    Or could you please let me know how to configure the Workflow part? I tried with the way in Wave 1, which does not work.

    I have an urgent issue related to workflow, it is like a lot of document that should report for approval, has not been reported since many days. Now when i am checking the log of the documents it is showing a SWW_WI_ERROR_MESSAGE_SEND_S in technical details of the agent list.
    Can any one help me for the same?

    I assume you have chekced most of the obvious things, such as the document referred in the workflow actually existing.
    Surely the workflow must be triggering when this problem can be found in the workflow log. What exactly do you mean by that statement - do all the workflows fail early in the process - perhaps even before the first step is created?
    What should the step that fails do? I assume the failure occurs in a customer-developed BOR object type, so please give a bit more information about where the problem occurs.
