Result Entry  in Quality QA32 - Simplification

In QA32 T-Code, We need to post the results automatically to all selected same items.
Is there any methodology for Multiple Selection of the Same ITEM and Entering the Results by one entry ?
Guide us for simplification of Results Entry & Usage Decision in QA32
Thanks in advance

Hi,
Actually, in QA32, Results can be Entered by selecting only one item.  But for the entry of multiple results for a selected item, user wants to select all relevant item and enter the results for closing purpose.
For this purpose, Our User requires multiple selection of items for entering the results.
Please give any methods to solve this.

  • Quality Results entry

    Hi ,
I am working on 11.5.10.2 Quality Module.
We have Quality results entry form is available in Quality Module and at the same time we can enter quality results during PO receipt or WO completion.
If we enter quality results in quality module for a collection plan ( say for one Purchase order), will it update quality form while doing the receiving transactions.
Also I would like to know why Quality results entry form is given separetly.
    Thanks in Advance
    Regards
    Ravi

    Hi Babu,
    1) PO receipt transactions will be doing by Receiver
2)Quality Inspector will enter quality results in Quality module
3)Again Receiver has to complete the receving and delivery transactions.
If we enter quality results in Quality module, will it reflect in Receiving transaction collection form?
    Thanks

  • Not able to fetch the specification limits  results in the quality certific

    Hi ,
I am facing an issue in outgoing Quality certificate. I am able to fetch the specifications for the the inspection characteristic& their result in the quality certificate.Although some of the are reflecting but some are not.
    Please advice.
    Regards,
    Vivek Sharma

    Helli Vivek,
What is misleading in the information I gave you?
The transaction QC03 is used to view the Quality certificate.
The text element is found on the characteristics overview screen.
You should be able to determine the certificate type used.
Furthermore you must distinguish if you are using quantitive or qualitative characteristics.
If you are using qualititive characteristics you might need text 0002

    Hi Guys,
Can any one explain me about the below parameter in the meter reading result entry.
1."No Entry of Tech. MRs at Installation Outside Installation"
If we enable this option,it should not allow to enter the meter readings in the technical installation.
But it is accepting. How? can any one explain.

    Hi Oven,
I hope the following information is useful:
No Entry of Tech. MRs at Installation Outside Installation ->
As a rule, technical meter readings at installation are entered using the appropriate transactions (Full Installation, Technical Installation).
In addition, it is possible to enter meter readings for technical installation before the installation occurs. This is done by uploading meter readings using IDoc ISU_MR_UPLOAD or BAPI. In exceptional cases you can also enter meter readings manually using single entry. The meter reading is then included once technical installation has been executed.
If you select this field, it is not possible to import meter readings at installation via upload or single entry.
    Turbo Boosting->

    Hi Ajay,
I think you`re workin on GR inspection Type 04 , coz in 03 insp. type there won`t be any stock posting in UD screen. 03 is Non-stock relevent inspection. We`ll do only result recording for 03 and finally take UD with no stock posting. Just check the scenario you`re workin on.

  • Resizing photo results in terrible quality?

I hope this isn't a really, really dumb question but.... is there any reason exporting a resized image should result in the photo itself displaying as poor quality? Hope it's okay I post a link.... when I allow ProPhoto to resize my photo down to 960px it looks perfect. When I export and choose to resize the long edge to 960px it looks soft.... Are my eyes deceiving me or something?? Here's the example: Test post » Tara Polly Photography

Have you ever used a mac?
Have you ever checked dpi\ppi settings after an export in photoshop, preview or even with lightroom?  Have you compared the photos of similar export resolution dimension, but different PPI\DPI?  It isn't just about printing.
Lower dpi\ppi values in my outputs had drastically different characteristics than those of "properly" (must be politically correct with respect to other comments here) resized images that kept this value in the same ratio as the original or at a higher value.  JPG is a compressed and LOSSY format.  Resolution dimension is also important, as it will define the optimal display dimension (with regard to the on screen size or how big the image will appear at a given dimension of pixels), but dpi\ppi will alter the amount of data used to represent color and detail within that area.  That is why it DOES MATTER.  I've tested it and viewed on several screens at several resolutions, just now in fact, and it confirms what I learned in class 10 years ago when I was studying the differences in celluloid and digital photos.
I took a picture.  The original image shows 600 dpi, I drop it down to half size, and drop to 300 ppi\dpi (yes I use them interchangeably; one refers to Pixels\points per inch, the other dots per inch, one refers to inkjet print, the other to the pixel points used in the actual image file, and both are related to print at opposite ends; one also affects the actual file in the computer itself), and there isn't much of a change with bilinear (nearest neighbor) though it is a little smoother in non-edge areas, but perceptually, it is almost indistinguishable.  I bumped it up to 450 and resampled the image again.  That smoothness was still there in some areas of similar color, but where it altered at light\shadow was a little sharper on a 50inch tv set up as a second monitor at 1920x1080 with an image sized to 50% in preview.  SO.... ...I have proven it to me.
Your interpolation method needs to fit your purpose as well.  Photoshop lets you choose from several in the export for web dialogue.  Not sure about lightroom as I haven't found the need for it other than with printing and storing originals.  Currently photoshop uses a (sharper)\(smoother) keyword, smoother being bilinear nearest neighbor, similar to the mac Preview program.
    From class
Change the number of little dots used to express the image of any given dimension, and you'll effectively change the sharpness and noise characteristics of that image.  When you go to print, you want to be able to use the least amount of these dots for professional print companies to use, and for your own, you want to match it to your physical printer.  This means you can make a duplicate at the correct number of dots\points and then sharpen that for your print.  You can sharpen for screens the same way, but most people prefer to resize the dimensions to decrease file size, so that they don't have to adjust as much afterward.
That was 10 years ago.  Today, you adjust afterward either way, or you get it right in the dialogue that comes up.

  • Result Recording in Quality Inspection

    Dear Masters,
I have a question related to quality inspection that suppose I have five master inspection characteristics in my inspection lot out of which I record the result only for three master inspection characteristics and approve the same. Is it still possible to go for the usage decision of the inspection lot without  entering the result of two master inspection characteristics?
Please do guide me. Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
Yes you can enter the UD without completing teh results recording.
the system will display a meesage some characteristics are open.

  • Exporting movie 2nd time has resulted in poor quality picture...

    Hi,
I edited my holiday video in iMovie HD and exported as "Quicktime-Full Quality" and it made a large DV file which looks great.
i tinkered around with project in iMovie as needed to add/remove a few things and exported again on same setting as above, but it now looks pixellated and nowhere near as sharp as the first copy.
Any tips on whats gone wrong? the only other thing i did in between these steps is also export it to iDVD for later burning, if that helps.
    Thanks.

    Hi
YES - the only thing You did was using Share/Export to iDVD.
    That's the problem. This is destructive ! ! !
iMovie rendering in this process gives a lousy result BUT ALSO HARMS THE ORIGINAL.
    Medicine (but a bitter one).
    • Re-import the photos to Your movie project (the old ones are damaged)
    • Re-edit them to their propper places and duration
    • NOW - When done. CLOSE iMovie
    • Open iDVD and import Your movie project. Now iDVD will do the rendering and so much better.

  • Which method would result in higher quality?

I have a large video/animation I want to export from AE. Should I export via the Quicktime Animation codec and compress to H.264 afterwards via handbreak, or would exporting directly as H.264 yield better results?
In the case of the former: can anyone recommend the best settings which preserve the quality of the original codec?

Don't export from AE as H.264. The Adobe Media Encoder (and probably Handbrake) will get you better results. Does Handbrake do multipass encoding?
Your composition should already be matching the settings of your footage (in most cases).
The animation codec is mathematically lossless. This means that every single pixel is the exact same once rendered as it was in the AE composition. If you took that file and rendered it again as the animation codec, it would still be the same. No matter how many generations you go through, there will never be quality loss because it is lossless. This is why lossless codecs are ideal for intermediate files.
Another good intermediate codec is Quicktime with the PNG codec. At high quality settings, it is also mathematically lossless, but in many cases the file size is smaller than the Animation codec.

  • Importing Youtube videos into Premiere Pro results in picture quality loss - how to prevent this?

I have imported several downloaded youtube videos in 720 or 1080p into Premier Pro but when playing in the video editor the picture quality is a little blurry and not as sharp as the original video is on youtube. Is there a way to import the video onto Premier Pro without losing the original quality?
Many thanks to anybody who can provide any guidance.

Whenever Premiere plays back video, it's going to appear to be of lower quality than the original. This doesn't mean that any quality has been lost, and when you export you will have your original quality again.
Just make make sure that the dropdown in your monitor next to wrench icon is set to "Full." If it's set to "1/2" or "1/4" that means playback will be really low quality (to speed things up). Even at full though, it will be a little less sharp than the original when it's playing. When you pause, then you'll see the original quality again.

  • Reading all search result entries before sending a client

I tired reading the entries in the pre and post search ops -
    SLAPI_PLUGIN_POST_SEARCH_FN
    SLAPI_PLUGIN_PRE_SEARCH_FN
I got NENTRIES=0 (even though numerous were being returned).
    With the
    SLAPI_PLUGIN_PRE_ENTRY_FN
the plugin is called each time an entry needs to be sent to the client
    1) Is there a way in which i can view all entries being sent, instead of those one at a time?
    2) Besides the pre_entry function where else can SLAPI_SEARCH_RESULT_ENTRY be used to give an entry?
    3) it is said to be used for "iterating thru candidates"..what does this mean?
    4) when and what can
    SLAPI_SEARCH_RESULT_SET be used for?
    Any ideas?
    Thanks

To get the old search bar back:
    1. Navigate to about:config (accept prompts/warnings)
    2. Search for "browser.search.showOneOffButtons"
    3. Change the property to false.
    4. Restart Firefox.

  • Do capture cards result in higher quality SD?

    Hi,
Will capture cards allow me to capture much higher quality SD from my miniDV videocamera? If so, is there much of a quality difference and will that quality be lost once I render out from FCP? Can anyone suggest a good capture card that will also work with HDV? Thanks in advance.
    Robert

DV cams compress 5:1 and 4:1:1 color space in the cam. In 4:1:1 chroma subsampling, the horizontal color resolution is quartered. The bandwidth is halved compared to no chroma subsampling.
    You cannot get around that.
If you use a capture card to transcode, all you are doing is transcoding the original compression and color space to a different codec.

  • Export to epub with linked ai files result in low quality images

I have a 220 page indesign cc doc which I am exporting to epub fixed layout. I have around 100 linked ai files. When I export, the main paragraph text is crisp and lovely but the ai figures are a little fuzzy.
I have tested different settings in the 'Object Export Options' but each time it comes out the same.
    See image below.
I have searched around but can't seem to find anyone talking about this. Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions?

    Hello Carli,
When exporting to epub, images format changes to png/jpg/gif depending on what you have selected in EPUB Export Options dialog. Please try exporting to PNG with high resolution selected(you can change Resolution as well in Export Options dialog).
    Thanks

  • Raw image manipulation results in poor quality print.

    Hello,
Been a PS user for a number of years, but very new to the mac platform. Regardless, I shot some beach photos in RAW format of my 6 year old. Brought them into PS and made adjustments to what I thought was a nice image. Uploaded the image to my local walmart photo center just to test out my work. The image is DARK and ugly. She looks almost dirty.
Im curious as to know what I did to screw this up? I would appreciate someone looking at it for me and let me know what it looks like to you.
The image can be seen here:
    http://i464.photobucket.com/albums/rr8/chaznsc/print_DSC08047.jpg
    chaz

The image looks fine to me, but then I'm using a color-managed web browser (Firefox 3.6.8).
    Image file CONVERTED to sRGB
Because it is in the Adobe RGB color space (fortunately you embedded the color profile in the image file) the image will look like cr@p in any non-color managed browser.
My guess is the idiots at WalMart assigned an sRGB profile to it instead of CONVERTING it to sRGB.  Most run-of-the-mill processing labs expect to receive only sRGB files.
If that's what they in fact did, your image would look something like this when printed:
    Image after assigning sRGB profile
Next time, CONVERT your files to sRGB before sending them to clueless, albeit hard-working, minimum-wage store employees.
