Result Set(Value set ) Error..URGENT

Hi Gurus,
         I am facing an issue here. I created a valueset and passed it as a variable to pass the top 10 customer to another query. When we run the second query ( which need top 10 customers as value set)we get message 'ABORT COULD NOT CARRY OUT ALL NORMINGS'
Also on the RSA1> Reporting Agent> Valueset after scheduling the scheduling package to Immediate, when we check the Scheduling package for Job Over view, we get message saying ' Job List is Empty'. We need your help.

What database are you connecting to?
There is a bug in Oracle 8 that will make all
your Select * from ... result sets not updatables,
you need to list the columns name to get around it.

  • Problem in Retrive values from result set

    I have a class where i do all database operation .First i fire select query and take values from result set and based on that value i fire update query.
    Problem is that i am not getting all values from result set . i get only last value and when i fire update query i get error as :Resultset is closed.
    I am using acess and java.

    You probably are using the same Statement object for both queries? Try creating separate Statement objects for each query. (My guess is this a problem with the way you're using JDBC, not a Servlet issue.)

  • Query Error Information: Result set is too large; data retrieval ......

    Hi Experts,
    I got one problem with my query information. when Im executing my report and drill my info in my navigation panel, Instead of a table with values the message "Result set is too large; data retrieval restricted by configuration" appears. I already applied "Note 1127156 - Safety belt: Result set is too large". I imported Support Package 13 for SAP NetWeaver 7. 0 BI Java (BIIBC13_0.SCA / BIBASES13_0.SCA / BIWEBAPP13_0.SCA) and executed the program SAP_RSADMIN_MAINTAIN (in transaction SE38), with the object and the value like Note 1127156 says... but the problem still appears....
    what Should I be missing ??????  How can I fix this issue ????

    You may ask your basis guy to increase ESM buffer (rsdb/esm/buffersize_kb). Did you check the systems memory?
    Did you try to check the error dump using ST22 - Runtime error analysis?

  • Getting Result set close error while updating row

    Working on jdev 11.1.1.3.0, ADF BC with rich faces.
    I am updating on the selected rows, the selected rows are updating but here my problem after updating the rows when i scroll down the table then i am getting error like Result Set is already close, can any one help me how to resolve this.

    You are calling commit on every row inside your for loop. I would avoid this because it's time consuming.
    Next thing I noticed is that you call the commit directly on the application module bypassing all binding layer stuff.
    Try putting the commit operation into the bindings and call it there. This will give the framework the chance to do its stuff.
    If this does not help you can re execute the query of the VO in question after updating the selected rows.

    I am having xml parsing error while selecting whole query result set. The data is coming fine for default result set of 50 rows.
    My exception is below.

    What does the XML look like? It appears that some of the supposed XML stored as a CLOB is not really valid XML. Find the row in the table that is causing your issue and review the "XML" in it.

  • Avoid JDBC sender error: Execute statement did not return a result set

    Hi!
    My JDBC sender adapter towards MS SQL server works fine, with an Execute statement calling a stored procedure that returns the source data needed. The stored procedure itself updates the status of database table records, so that only the unread records are returned each time the stored procedure is called.
    However, the communication channel monitoring sets a red flag for the JDBC sender adapter, when there are no values to fetch from the database table (using the stored procedure). Message says: "Database-level error reported by JDBC driver while executing statement 'EXECUTE FetchMessage 1, 9000'. The JDBC driver returned the following error message: 'com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerException: The statement did not return a result set.'. For details, contact your database server vendor."
    This is not an error situation, as I do not expect there to be any values to fetch from the database at all times.
    I do not see how to change the stored procedure to avoid this error.
    Is there a parameter to be set on the JDBC adapter that I can use, so the red flag is avoided?

    Hi Oeystein Emhjellen.
    The problem is Store Procedure that has to generate always a ResultSet (or cursor). If it doesn't have a output, you have to generate an Empty ResultSet.
    Like a SELECT Statement:
    If there are data, SELECT get an output result but if it get nothing the SELECT Statement get a empty ResultSet.
    Ask to your database team.

  • Af:inputListOfValues sets value of first item in result set when using enter key or tab and component set to autosubmit=true

    I'm using JDev 11.1.1.6 and when I type a value into an af:inputListOfValues component and hit either the enter key or the tab key it will replace the value I entered with the first item in the LOV result set. If enter a value and just click out of the af:inputListOfValues component it works correctly. If I use the popup and search for a value it works correctly as well. I have a programmatic view object which contains a single transient attribute (this is the view object which is used to create the list of value component from) and then I have another entity based view object which defines one of its attributes as a list of value attribute. I tried using an entity based view object to create the LOV from and everything works as expected so I'm not sure if this is a bug when using programmatic view objects or if I need more code in the VOImpl. Also, it seems that after the first time of the value being replaced by the first value in the result set that it will work correctly as well. Below are some of the important code snippets.
    Also, it looks like it only doesn't work if the text entered in the af:inputListOfValues component would only have a single match returned in the result set. For instance given the result set in the code: Brad, Adam, Aaron, Fred, Charles, Charlie, Jimmy
    If we enter Cha, the component works as expected
    If we enter A, the component works as expected
    If we enter Jimmy, the component does not work as expected and returns the first value of the result set ie. Brad

    I have found a solution to this issue. It seems that when using a programmatic view object which has a transient attribute as its primary key you need to override more methods in the ViewObjectImpl so that it knows how to locate the row related to the primary key when the view object records aren't in the cache. This is why it would work correctly sometimes but not all the time. Below are the additional methods you need to override. The logic you use in retrieveByKey would be on a view object by view object basis and would be different if you had a primary key which consisted of more than one attribute.

    I want to create a saved result set with the marketing tool in OBIEE. I have made a saved result list format. But when I want to create the saved result set, I get this error:

    Authentication Failure.
    Odbc driver returned an error (SQLDriverConnectW).

    You would have to create Credential store values for the Administrator User.
    (Refere to the Chapter 5 – “Oracle BI Presentation Services Credential Store” of the OBIEE Deployment Guide). You would have to include the Credential store info and additional Administrator user tag to overcome this issue.

  • Message "Error in connection:No result set, result attempts = 100" on VC

    Hi,
    I am using a JDBC datasource to retrieve, update, insert and delete information from a SQL Server database using executing store procedures from VC.
    The selection of the data is perfect but for the deletion, insert or update of any data using store procedures I always get the following message:
    "Error in connection:No result set, result attempts = 100"
    At the end the information is modified in the database but I get error.
    Here is an example of one of my store procedure:

    Hi,
    when you SELECT data, you get a result. So your connection gets a result set. When you DELETE, INSERT,... you have no result, because you didn't select data. So your connection can't get any result sets.

  • Error while retrieving result set in JTFGRID.

    Hi ,
    We have developed a custom form where there are various search parameters. Contract Number being one of them. The result set consists of various fields like Contract ID, Contract Number, Contract Number modifier etc.  This result is deriving its data from a custom view based on the contract id of the contract selected and populating in the grid.
    The issue is the result set is coming only for few contracts and for some it is throwing the below error:

  • How to group result set to count values in several (2) attributes?

    Hi there,
    the (simplified) query at the bottom returns the following result set:
    OBJ_ID Attr 1 Attr2
    22674886 HAK44221 GEB132542
    22674886 HAK44221 GEB92751
    22674886     HAK44222 GEB92744
    22674886     HAK17113 null
    However, we need the number of different Attr 1 and Attr2 counted, which should result in the this:
    OBJ_ID Attr 1 Attr2
    22674886 3 3
    We trried using "group by grouping sets", "group by" and also took a glance at "cube" but didn't manage to get the desired result, mainly due to the fact, that Attr2 may contain null values.
    We managed to find a solution using a GTT or a view. Can anybody give a hint how to solve that without using temporary tables?

    Depending on your data and your requirements, you may need to join some of the tables separatemly, do a GROUP BY to get attr2, and then join those results to the other tables.
    I hope this answers your question.
    If not, post a little sample data (CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements, relevant columns only) for all the tables involved, and the results you want from that data. WSimplify the problem as much as possible. For exam[ple, if your real problem involves 5 tables, but the part you don't understand can be shown with only 1 or 2 tables, then post sample data and results for those 1 or 2 tables only.
    Point out where the query above is getting the wrong results, and explain, using specific examples, how you get those results from the sample data in those places.

  • Flex 4.5.1 Setting VideoPlayer source to null when it is already null results in a runtime error

    I moved my project from Flex 4.1 to Flex 4.5.1 and I noticed that setting VideoPlayer source to null when it is already null results in a runtime error. The same thing applies to the case where you specified as a source url some invalid location (no video found there) and then you try to set the source to null.
    Here is the error:

    The problem is that in the VideoDisplay cleanUpSource function, in some of the cases there properties on the videoObject are modified like this:
    videoPlayer.displayObject.visible = true;
    without checking if displayObject is null which is done in the rest of the videoDisplay functions.
    So when it reaches this line: videoPlayer.displayObject.visible = true; it results in a runtime error.
    Is this supposed to work this way now ? I didn't have this problem on Flex 4.1. Not sure if it is a bug, but if it is please report it, I don't have the time right now to be checking in on this.
    I fixed it by checking if the source is set, of course... (that won't help me in cases where I provide a wrong or missing video url by mistake.. so it is important to be fixed!)
