Linc, I noticed the file (package) in my wife's directory and then googled it to determine what it was. It was from the google results that I found your script listed. Not knowing what to do or even worse what this installer may have done already, I ran the script thinking that it might provide some insight.
My problem, was not that though, the problem I was researching when I discovered the vindistaller package is this: After updating to version 10.10.1 of Yosemite, my magic mouse (and two other mice also, one wired) had lost the ability to execute a left click which in turn disabled my ability to select items either on the menu, or the dock or folders on the desktop. I managed to find a way to navigate a little bit via the right click option which for some reason seems to still work. Oddly, sometimes after I shutdown then restart, the mouse acts perfectly normal, other times, at the login screen (I have 3 users) I will have to resort to the arrow keys on the keyboard to highlight the user I want to log in... and then again at other times that doesn't work either.
I have logged in and had the unresponsive left click and then after letting the machine just sit idle, it would magically regain it's normal functioning... (hence the name 'magic mouse'???)
I just now did a PRAM reset and the mouse seems to work normally... I did unpair and repair the mouse prior to that with no positive results... what it did then was odd. Moving the pointer outside of the bluetooth preferences window and then moving the pointer up and down (mind you, not in the window at all but on the desktop), it would select (highlight) each device as I moved the pointer up and down... still no left click at that time.
Prior to the update, Mavericks worked wonderfully and all the bluetooth devices functioned as they should. Actually, the first Yosemite that was released seemed to work fine too, it was only after the last update that bluetooth functionality seemed to go south.
I am writing this to you just after having done the PRAM reset so cannot say how long it will function properly... hopefully forever but I'm not sure.
This really had nothing to do with the 'Vindistaller' at all but I have read that a number of folks have experienced the same thing I have regarding the mouse and bluethooth issues.

Error while result recording for test equipment

Dear Gurus
My scenario is to do unplanned maintenance for test equipment and recording the result.
For that I have done the following steps
1)     Created Notification for the test equipment (customized notification type TE).
2)     For that notification I created order. (customized order type TE01).
3)     Attached General maintenance task list for that order. Task list has inspection point 300.
4)     Released the order and saved. Inspection Lot is created.
5)     In QE51N / QA32 when I tried to do results recording, it shows the following error.
"Equipment VERN01 do not exist in the object list for order 4001214"
Please help me to correct this error.

I applied oss and today I got reply. When 1278254 notes is implemented it is solved.
I have one more question, now in QE51N, I did result recording and when saved it is asking for order confirmation, I have given all data and came back to the same screen. There is one more option for Valuate Inspection Point. In that I have selected Can be used option and saved. Now if I goto maintenance order and TECO the order, it is saying that A usage decision has stll to be made.
Whether I want to take UD once again in QA32 ?
Also is there any settings to TECO the notification automatically when the maintenance order is TECO'ed. Now the notification is not TECO'ed when order is TECO'ed.

Compressor results after numerous tests and ????

Greetings.
I,ve spent the last two weeks working with just about every combination of Compressor settings and have decided that the best of my results were, to me, just acceptable.
My video is 30 minutes long expoted from FC as SCM, then on to compressor. Original camera footage HDV1080i/60, imported as pro res 422, full pro res work flow.
My first result was using the stock 90 min best quality, but that was pretty awfull, especial with type generated in FC, pxel-ly, jagged. I then ran several tests adjusting the encoder, adjusting frame rate (settled on 6.8 and 8.0 for those).
I used "better" as my all my other ssttings. Encoding times were about 4 hours.
I decided to try setting everything to "best" encoder still at 6.8 and 8.0 hit submit, and came back two and a half days later to the encoded files. FYI I set up a 4 core cluster in QMaster to speed things up on my eight core mac.
Of all the tests, best seemed to work best, but still not terrific. I realize that my original QT export of 27GB was now reduced to 1.6GB had lots to do with this.
My first question is there a way to fill a dvd-r disk with 4gb of info instead of it reducing it to 1.6? Seems like this would make a big difference.
Outside of that,are there companies specialize in taking an exported QT file and compressing it to your specs? Any idea what they charge?

A few things I'd like to add.
Where I really noticed the difference was on anything that had solid black.
For example, there are parts of my video that contain a solid black slug. On my hd tv solid black on my set from encoded material in compressor is about 95% black. I also notice that any black contains a horizontal stripe pattern. When I did the "best" encoding method, these lines were far less visible.
Thus the reason I'm wondering about out sourcing services if there is such a thing.
I am aware that commercial dvd's are preped output to different standards, but how does a lowly individual as myself get to there.
And one other note. Blu Ray looks beautiful created in Compressor, obviously higher resolution.

Corrupt result display during testing.

I have a custom UI running TestStand sequences. The sequences call my COM DLL to display results during testing. The results are displayed in a CWnd derived list. The results scroll in the list. If anything interacts with the list (message box, or mouse) the list becomes corrupted (blank lines etc), and eventually the process crashes. This occurs on win2000 but not on WinNT. Any similar problems, or suggestions?
Also, the COM DLL dialog is run in a user interface thread.

I have done something very similiar to what you are doing. I have an MFC User interface that runs test sequences. I also have a DLL interface to an active X automation server that the sequences call. The server also displays test progression information sent directly from client applications that the sequences call. I also had problems with my displays working correctly when we moved from NT to 2000. I resolved the problems by upgrading to MFC service pack 5.0 and rebuilt all my components in Windows 2000.

Spreadsheet: how can I store test results from different tests in the same central spreadsheet?

I am looking to gather test data using LabVIEW. I then want to store all the data in the same spreadsheet, a kind of central data base. I know how to store single test data in a spreadsheet but I can I get the software to write new data in the same file without over writing the old data?

My first recommendation is that if you need a database--use a database not a spreadsheet. A DBMS isn't that hard to use and could pay big dividends in the future.In any case, to answer your question directly, it sounds like you are writing tab-delimited data to a text file that you will then open with a spreadsheet program. How can I include results of a subsequence, which runs in a new thread, in the main sequence test report

Hi!
I', m working with TestStand Version 4.2.1. I have a main sequence, which calkls different subsequences. All these steps are properly reported. One of subsequences runs as "new thread". How can I include its results in common test report of the main sequence?
I have markes variables of the subsequence as it is requred for test report (it works OK if it is not a new thread). If the the numerical test, which is executed in this subsequence is correct, I get no results at all. If the numeric test failed I get somewhere in the main sequence report a "red message", that test failed whithout any reference to the step or values of vaiables which were not correct.
I tried an option "On the fly" in the Report Configuration , but haven' got any useful results. What shall I do?

Hi,
I tried it but without success:
1) I got a reference to the Thread as "Locals.Step1=RunState.Thread" for every of 2 steps which start a thread
2) I put both "Waits" after steps with (and without) threads, at the same place, where they were before
3) The sequence run OK, but when it came to Wait for Thread 1 it waited for ever, I had to terminate sequence
Does it mean, that I got a false reference (suppose No - please, have a look at attached pic)?
Or does it mean, that Waits are badly placed in the sequence (threads are already terminated)? Here is a pic of sequeces calls with Wait after them.

Where should i found the executed automation test cases result in TestResult folder?

we are using VS2013, i have automated some coded ui test cases and executed from test explorer. once completed i am able to view the test result in the Test explorer window. But I am unable to view in the 'TestResult' folder under project location. (In The
Test result folder created IN & Out sub folder ) I think it should be create .trx file under TestResult folder. is there any configuration required.
Please guide me.

Thank you for posting in MSDN forum.
As far as I know that when we automated coded ui test cases from VS IDE, it is default that there have no the .trx file be created in the TestResult folder. However, there have a replace workaround that we can automate coded ui test cases using MSTest.exe
in command line. And then we can get the .trx file be created in the TestResult folder.
So you can execute the /resultsfile command to get the .trx file using mstest.exe in command line.

Sap Learning Solution capturing of paper based test results.

Hi all,
I have a client requirement to capture the results of paper based tests. I see that using the follow up process there is only an option to pass or fail the course but one cannot add a specific result e.g. if you failed a course the client would like to determine that you failed it with a score of 46 percent.
Does anybody have an idea as to how this requirement can be catered for by the system? I am using the new appraisal system i.e. "Appraisal templates" not appraisal model so I cannot use an attendee appraisal to record test scores/results.

We experienced a similar problem, where the results were not being saved after the user took an online test.
It transpired that the problem was with authorisations. The authorisations were too restrictive on our example user. I would suggest trying to save results (in a test system) with an example user with full access rights turned on temporarily.
If the results then get stored. you know you have a problem with authorisations. SAP have a recommendation which specifies the minimum security access required in order for this functionalilty to work.

LSO, Test results in TAC database

Hello everybody!
I have a problem with online tests in Learning Solution 602.
So, I've got online test, with 'Result Storage' option on, created in Test Author.
Also 'Dynamic Item Selection' turn on in the test.
The learner passes the test in Learning Portal and results are kept in SAP.
I want to see results of the test considering separate items.
I see these results in table LSOTACLRNITRES (Item Results).
But I cannot find an Item ID from LSOTACLRNITRES in table LSOTACITEM200 (Item and Item Attributes from Test structure).
Item ID-s in these two tables is different, and seems like item result not corresponding to item in test structure.
So, how can I find title of item, if items in the test have been mixed (a 'Dynamic Item Selection')?

Currently using LSO 6.04 with release 7.10 and patch level 15.

Understanding Test Results

I have many problems with my BT Broadband. One of them being very slow speeds for the past few weeks, intermittently. I have done a test as suggested but dont understand the results!

Speed Tests Results for 802.11ac Wireless Connections

Using the new Apple MacBook Air with 802.11ac wireless, I tested copying a file and a folder to both the new 802.11ac AirPort Extreme router housing a USB-connected hard disk and the less recent 802.11n Apple AirPort Extreme router housing a similar USB-connected hard disk.
The results of the tests are summarized in the table below. The movie file was ripped from a DVD movie, and the Microsoft folder is simply the Microsoft Office 2011 folder in my Applications folder containing 14,231 items.
The MacBook Air computer was located 6–8 feet away from each router with no intervening obstructions. While this was not a scientific test, it demonstrated to me that 802.11ac wireless is clearly superior to 802.11n in a real world setting. I assume that the lower relative performance of 802.11ac versus 802.11n for the large folder containing many files is due to overhead in copying and writing files from and to the hard disks. Ditto for the Gigabit Ethernet test.
