Resume an old email address?

Update: I have contacted customer support via a chat. Apparently, I conclude this is not unheard of:To have a domain & ip already blocked with no action on the part of the user. The unblock request form I was asked to fill in required an ip address. I was directed to an instruction page, but it did not help.I sent an email to try & get pinged back which should include the ip in the header. Did not have an ip address, since nothing came through. Character count in the correct email address exceeded the 15 alloted,therefore I could not use the sending email address in place of an ip address. The agent was gracious & was going to take care of it, since I could not complete the form sufficiently to trigger the report & request.Though I have no timeframe for the action & have not yet received the notification email.

My original search didn't yield anything that seemed to fit the bill.__________ I have since managed to reactivate the additional old Comcast email address. What I need is not arriving.(all other new email appears to be working, except what I needed to come through).__________ I'm trying to eliminate Comcast procedure as the source of my problem.
My questions were boiled down to their simplest essence, for clarity's sake. The extra [old, re-activated] Comcast account was used a 'verify' notification. (send also to ... email address)
For my ["external," non-Comcast] account as a failsafe, in case I got locked out of that. I didn't realize I was still driving to that defunct Comcast address: now I might need to use it.__________ If anyone could pick up that user id after 90 days,
they would be picking up all the old spam driven there as well, I presume. Correct? ===>> That's what I am [now] wondering: Could there be some other identifier missing in order to re-establish that address as before? ( I hope you aren't getting a notification for every edit I've made to this post, in order to be crystal clear).

iCloud
iOS 6 and later: Go to Settings > iCloud.
- If you signed out before changing your Apple ID, enter your current Apple ID to sign in. The data from your iCloud account will download to your device.
- If you're still signed in with your previous Apple ID:
1. Scroll down and tap Delete Account. Depending on what iCloud options are turned on, you'll be asked to confirm that you want to delete data from your device. To confirm, tap Delete. (If you're using iOS 7 and have Find My iPhone turned on, you'll be asked to enter the password for your previous Apple ID. Enter the password, then tap Turn Off.) The data will be deleted from your device, but not from iCloud.
2. Enter your current Apple ID to sign in. The data from your iCloud account will download again to your device.

Try:
Settings>Store...tap the ID shown...sign out...now sign back in with your new ID.

I recently updated my primary email address associated with my Apple ID account.
Now when I go to App store on my iPad it still tries to login to the App store using the old email address I had associated with the account, and naturally my password doesn't work. I can't figure out how to tell my iPad to login using the updated email address.
So in effect I'm locked out of the app store and I currently have 26 updates waiting.
I've tried disconnecting and reconnecting my IPad to iCloud with no luck.. However I cloud happens to show the correct/updated email address.
Does anyone know how to resolve this?

Did you change the email for the Apple ID or did you create a new Apple ID? A new Apple ID cannot be used with content that was bought using a different Apple ID.

What id shows in Settings > iTunes & App Store ? If it's the old one then tap on it and log out of it and then log in with the updated version

HT5312 I set up an icloud on an old email address that I can't access anymore. So I created a new account as I couldn't remember the security question answers for the old account. My iphone links to the old account. How do I change it to the new one?

When I set up the icloud I was using my then email address. My email address has now changed.
I tried to access under the old email address to change it to a new email address but I couldn't remember the security questions and as I can't access the old email address, I can't change it. So to solve the problem I set up a new account under the new email address. The only problem is my iphone is still asking for the old email address password which doesn't work.
How do I connect my iphone to the new account as it wont let me delete the old account on the iphone without the password (which as mentioned above doesn't work)?

Content is forever tied to the Apple ID that bought it. Apple does not transfer content from one Apple ID to another. Apple does not merge Apple IDs. You will never be able to access your content bought with one Apple ID with a new Apple ID.

The iPhone is linked to the iCloud account and Find My iPhone
The device can display a different Apple ID or iCloud account then it's linked to.
The way to check this is iCloud.com
Get signed in with you Apple ID/iCloud account and password
Select the Find My iPhone
Select the "All Devices"
Select the device
Wipe and remove it from the account
Restore the device

TS3899 When sending an email using my iphone it always goes to an old email address and not the address set up in settings

I have removed an email address from my Iphone and have added a new one. My new one has been set up in the settings as the default account. When trying to send an email the phone always asks for a password for the old email address and will not use the new address. How do I get rid of the old address and use the new one? I have used the delete account to remove the old email address.

Try chnaging the Default Account in Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
You can also try to Reset All Settings from Settings > General > Reset.
If neither of those work, try restoring the iPhone.

Your apps were purchased under the old ID, so they will have to be deleted and re-purchased/downloaded under your new one.
