Resume tip

ALV(function module approach and object oriented approach), BADI, BAPI, OO-ABAP, Enhancements, customer exits, ALE, EDI, IDOC all comes into cross application part of ABAP. Is it mandatory to mention it (CA) in resume to get an interview call.

Hi,
Yes this all are very important topics for an Abaper....
So do mention this topics and also write the Objects created using this ...

  • OT:  Resumé Tips and samples

    I'm currently starting to look for other work/freelance jobs and I'm trying to not only put together my reel, but update my resume. I consider myself a jack of all (Video) trades in a sense. Honestly, I'm not the best at anything, but I'm proficient in many things-my strongest skills in editing. I've actually got good experience, about 8 years worth, but my current resume doesn't make it seem so. So I'm trying to find out if there are some tips to creating a good resumé. I've seen plenty of examples from the normal "business" world, but it doesn't really seem to work well to show off the skills for video production/editing. Does anyone have any suggestions for formatting - ways to catorgize things, rules for length, etc that might be helpful? Also, if you would be willing to send me a sample of your own that helped you get a job that would be awesome!
    Any insight would be appreciated. I've been at the same company for a while, and its been a long time since I've had to write one of these, and its a little over-whelming.
    Thanks in advance,
    Chris

    once again thanks for more info. what i am still not clear on is if i haven't installed mackeeper can i just drag the icon of the open box [in one case] and the mackeeper icon in my app folder. i somehow downloaded two copies of mackeeper. clicked on one and it was put into my app folder. then i decided to use it and clicked on it and it started asking for email address and stuff. while i put an address in i didn't finish installing or hitting the button that would have probably got it completely installed.
    checked the email address i gave it and no notice from them that i had completed the install or any other info. makes me hope it is still un installed.
    given the givens should i use the apple help writer "how to uninstall mackeeper" on one or both of them or just hope that dragging them to the trash will suffice?
    one of the many great things about apple is this support communities and folks like you and paul. have been rescued from my stupidity by others and you guys. thanks again

  • ZEN Player Audiobook Tip: Overcoming Faulty Resume Operat

    This is for my fellow audiobook (audio book?) listeners who have been frustrated by the Zen's inability to remember your place for more than a couple of hours after pressing Pause. I have stumbled across two situations in which the Zen will hold your place, apparently indefinitely.
    1. Press Pause, then plug the player into a wall charger (I use the one that came with my Razr). When you unplug the charger and turn the player back on, the progress bar will be right where you left it. Just hit Play.
    2. Use the sleep timer. The player shuts itself off after the set amount of time, and when you power back up, the Zen begins playing where you left off. You don't even have to press Play. I have had this work when I didn't power back up for as much as 0 hours later. Of course, if you fall asleep before the sleep timer kicks in you'll have to rewind.
    I'm still hopeful that Creative will wise up and release a firmware update that allows you to set a proper resume function if you want one, but for now these alternate methods have made listening to audiobooks and podcasts a less frustrating experience for me. I hope others find them useful.

    Update:
    In http://forums.creative.com/creativel...thread.id=2697", luvmyrescuedogs wrote:
    Most of the time I don't use bookmarking, just shut down the player without a pause and when restarting, it goes back to where I left off in the story.
    Hat tip to you!
    I'm very happy to report that this works with the Zen as well. The key is to shut down without pressing pause first. That hadn't occurred to me. Doh.

    Thanks!

    That is poor type layout.
    European languages read left to right, a ragged left edge is the worst possible layout for listed data.
    The only circumstance you should use the left/right alignment is in header/footers for running heads and page numbers wheer they are widely separated and therefore easy to scan as individual short snipetts of text.

  • Resume sometimes results in unresponding laptop. Need tips to debug.

    Hi all,
    I have a major problem with 2 MacBook Air's that I hope someone can help me debug.
    This issue is not reproducible all the time. It sometime happens. Sometimes everything works as expected.
    The problem:
    After resuming (from hibernate not suspend) the laptop becomes unresponsive to any and all events. The only thing that works to my knowledge is to press the power key for several seconds and hard reboot it that way.
    This issue has been there for some time. So I can't pinpoint it to a specific kernel or set thereof.
    Hardware:
    MacBook Air 6,2 with the Intel  i7-4650 CPU
    Software:
    up-to-date ArchLinux (64 bit)
    Windowmanager: one laptop i3, the other xfce
    Screenlock on booth laptops: i3lock executed by this systemd unit
    $ cat /etc/systemd/system/[email protected]
    [Unit]
    Description=User resume actions
    Before=sleep.target
    [Service]
    User=%I
    Type=forking
    Environment=DISPLAY=:0
    ExecStart=/usr/bin/i3lock -c 000000
    [Install]
    WantedBy=sleep.target
    On the i3 laptop hibernation is invoked by logind.conf
    $ grep hibernate /etc/systemd/logind.conf
    HandlePowerKey=hibernate
    #HandleHibernateKey=hibernate
    HandleLidSwitch=hibernate
    On the xfce laptop hibernate is started by xfce power manager.
    Both laptops use the mba6x backlight driver from aur
    Both systems do not have acpid installed.
    What happens when the issue appears:
    1) Open lid and press power key
    2) Screen turns on and reaches i3lock (I can tell that, because the xfce laptop set a wallpaper for i3lock which is displayed)
    3) No reaction to any input. Pressing keys (including Fn+Ctrl+F1 through F9) does not result in any reaction. Closing the lid again does not result in any action (it just stays as it is with the i3lock and display backlight on). I can't ssh into the machine.
    How do I find the cause for this problem? As far as I can tell, there is nothing in the logs because it does not get written to disk before rebooting the laptop (and I have no idea which log to check. On a running system I would check dmesg, X11-log, and journalctl -f...)
    Please ask for any information that I missed. I really want to resolve this problem and learn how to find the cause.
    Yes, I googled and searched the forum and read quite a couple other posts to no avail...
    P.S.
    I just tuned off the i3lock unit on the i3 laptop the see whether the issue goes away - but this doesn't seem likely to me.

    Ok, the problem did not appear since I turned of the i3lock unit.
    Does anyone see a mistake I made in the unit file, or has another solution on how to lock the laptop once it goes into suspend/hibernate?

  • Problem with Resuming and Installing Apps Purchased using Mac App Store

    Recently I have been trying to download and install AeroFly FS which I purchased from Mac App Store (17GB) and with my internet connection it take some 4-5 days to download that.
    I have 2 problems.
    1) Resume download don't work if I happen to reboot my macbook pro for some reason after pausing the download before the reboot. When I reboot and try resuming the download... the resume button changes to install, and the download start afresh, I technically lost all my previous downloaded data.
    2) The app was 17GB ( I guess thats the installer), and I had some 25GB left after the download completed. But it gave an error saying while installing that not much disk space. So I moved/deleted many item on my drive and got the disk space to some 37GB Free. But it was still giving the same error of not much disk space.
    So, I thought the new avaialable diskspace was not accounted for. So, I rebooted the macbook. And to my agony, I found the roboot wiped out the 17GB installer I managed to download from Mac App Store.
    So, far i have wasted almost more than a week trying to download and install this app. Now, I am re-downloading it for the third time.
    Any Help will be highly appreciated.
    Any Tips on how I can move the installer once it sdownloaded to my external HDD, and where can i find this installer which App store downloads?
    Regards,
    Sapam

    Hi ...
    37GB of free space is not enough.
    Right or control click the MacintoshHD icon. Click Get Info. In the Get Info window you will see Capacity and Available. Make sure there's a minimum of 20% free disk space.

  • [SOLVED] black screen when resuming from suspend

    Hi all,
    I've got this new laptop and I can't get it to resume from sleep. The screen is black, probably not even powered. When I resume I am still logged into my session and can type commands (espeak for example, which works), and I can use my other computer to ssh and get the logs.
    This new computer has got hybrid graphics card from AMD. I think this is relevant, as I've read some stuff about the GPU not being powered after sleep.
    $ lspci
    00:01.0 VGA compatible controller: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] Richland [Radeon HD 8650G]
    01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] Neptune XT [Radeon HD 8970M] (rev ff)
    I'm using the open source drivers because I'd like to use bumblebee to switch between graphic cards. It's not working yet, though.
    Also I've read some topics concerning similar issues, but most of them were solved by upgrading to a newer kernel, like 3.8 or 3.9 at that time. I am running 3.16.7 (these topics were from 2013, I found nothing more recent).
    To suspend, I close the lid of the computer or use
    systemctl suspend
    I tried switching to pm-utils for suspend and resume, it still didn't work, event with all the troubleshooting tips on the wiki.
    I'd be glad to provide any logs you would need in order to help me.
    Thank you for your help
    EDIT: I forgot to mention that the brightness keys work well before suspend but have no effect afterwards.

    I found this post, but I don't know if this is relevant or not.
    It says:
    ps: if you use this method, before suspending or hybernating make sure that the intel card is the one in use, or when you recover the pc the display won't show anything (or at least that's how it work on my laptop)
    It is about AMD/Intel hybrid graphics with vga switcheroo, and I'm on AMD/AMD and not using switcheroo, but I don't know enough to say if this is the same problem or not.

  • Resume Time Machine Backup On New MBP (props available)

    Hello Officials,
    I do not mean to scare away answers, but I am an experienced Mac boy, and would be forever honored with help on (this now) complicated issue below:
    Info:
    My old MBP had a couple of logic board replacements, now I have the new MBP. I want to perform a clean install, and thus don't want to restore from my full time machine backup (3.3TB of data). I did use Migration-sh't-Assitant for my apps, (and proper delete process for ones I didn't want) but want further options. My main problem is that I would like to go back to having my old version of Mail (with mailbox's and rss) and my old +Address Book+. (I am aware of the longer steps to get these two to work) _As well as_, I want to resume my Time Machine backups from my old backups.
    Goal:
    Continue using my old Time Machine backups for my new computer. Without 'Browse Other..'.
    *You Should Know -That I Know*
    I can hold option for a different Time Machine, it is a terrible way to operate the machine and its files.
    It is a challenge due to the MAC address.
    I can just re-sync Mail with all my other accounts, but I have a lot. I don't want to do that.
    Address Book, even on my 'Browse other time machine disks' this is quite funky. Open to suggestions.
    I already moved the backup onto a new drive. This is different.

    Not sure what you mean here. Do you mean the old versions of the Mail and Address book apps, or the old data? What version of OSX is on each Mac?

    That's outdated (2008), and not needed on Snow Leopard. When the first backup of your new Mac starts, you should get an option to "re-use" the backups. See #B5 in [Time Machine - Troubleshooting|http://web.me.com/pondini/Time_Machine/Troubleshooting.html] (or use the link in *User Tips* at the top of this forum). But note that however you answer that, Time Machine will do a new, full backup of the new Mac.

  • I7 iMac with Bootcamp 3.1 and Windows7 64-bit won't resume from sleep

    When I try to resume from sleep, by clicking the magic mouse button, the screen comes up and I can move the mouse around but the bluetooth keyboard does not work and I can't launch any programs. Have to use the rear button to force a power off and restart.
    Is anyone able to resume from sleep okay and carry on using Windows 7? If so, any tips? Thanks in advance, very frustrating.

    I don't have an iMac, and it seems those have some design "issues" to say the least. I'd say yes, motherboard and/or firmware (UEFI or SMC, or both) could be buggy and at fault.
    Other than resetting SMC and running Apple Hardware Test, not sure what else or next to try.
    I've seen a number of BIOS updates out in the last months for my PC motherboards that have definitely improved sleep, S3, hibernation - EVGA, Gigabytes, and Intel - all X58 vs P55 (Lynnfield Core i5/7 LGA 1156) the iMac uses.
    http://anandtech.com/cpuchipsets/showdoc.aspx?i=3634
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IntelCorei5
    First I switched to Windows Vista/7, then I switched to build-my-own and custom parts. Love the looks of iMac, came close at one point, but I prefer the specs, options, and configure for my own needs in hard drives, graphics over cool factors.
    The iMac even in 2008 when it came with Penryn 64-bit processors never got 64-bit Vista/Boot Camp drivers, and that was why I didn't buy iMac back then, just lack of support I guess, and not seeing the market and need (for a good solid Windows desktop machine by Apple).

  • Resuming sleep from lid-closed mode?

    Sorry if this has already been answered, but searching through the manual and 34 pages of previous posts didn't turn up anything.
    When I get to work, I connect my MBP (in sleep mode) to my external monitor and then to my usb keyboard/mouse, which triggers the computer to wake up and go into lid-closed mode. I work all day with the lid closed.
    The problem is that when I'm ready to leave at the end of the day, I cannot just disconnect everything and resume sleep mode for the transport home.
    If I go to Apple/Sleep, it'll go to sleep for 1-2 sec, then re-enter lid-closed mode. If I unplug everything, then the computer stays in lid-closed mode and won't go to sleep. The only way to get it back into sleep mode is to disconnect everything and open up the lid, wait for the display to come on, then close it again. Time consuming measures like this clash severely with my impatience at getting out of the office.
    Any tips on how to re-sleep from lid-closed mode without having to open the lid? Thanks in advance.

    My impatience was my own undoing. Upon further testing, once the magsafe is disconnected, the laptop begins the routine to go to sleep. I'm a very happy camper now...don't have to open the laptop at all, and I get to reduce the rate of dimming of my laptop screen.

  • Apple TV needs Restart for Airplay especially after resuming from Sleep Mode

    1. I always have to restart my Apple TV for Airplay when I resume it from Sleep Mode. Neither my MAC not my PC nor my iPhone/iPad can connect to Airplay if it's not retsarted. I did a complete Factory Reset of Apple TV thinking it would be the best way of troubleshooting but in vein. Any help/suggestion/tips from anybody please?
    2. Also - Does Apple TV needs internet always for Airplay? I guess that should work on the LAN even if there is no internet connectivity, Correct?

  • Re: How to keep phone #on prepaid plan if u drop service for 2 months, then resume?

    Re: How to keep phone number on prepaid plan if you drop service for 1-2 months and then resume?
    Thanks for the replies !
    I pasted in the link to the discussion I started earlier.  Dont see a way to respond to replies.  If there is a way to do this, would love to know pls!
    I may want to drop the monthly service for 2 months or more. So the offer to reserve a number for $100 is actually more appealing than paying 49 monthly for more than 2 months.  I just cant find a way to pay it that doesnt get lost in monthly payments
    I have tried the cust service number for pre paid.  It's menu driven, no option at all to speak with anyone, and no option that matches my question.  It's nothing more than a set of text that is accessed by the telephone.  One way communication, no chance to get any help :-(  Disappointing.  And Chat is still busy :-(
    Thanks for reading and any tips!

    If you don't get the option to reply then refresh and log back in, your login most likely timed out.
    As for calling in I just called

  • Tips on Backing up data

    Hi,
    Please forgive me if my question doesnt' quite fit here ... I have a general question about how I should backup data. I'm mostly concerned about photos, music and some financial data that's in our iMac G5. Should I buy an external drive and set up a regular backing up scheme (and how would I do that?) or partition my hard drive in the iMac? Any tips or suggestions would greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!
    M

    Hello Matthew,
    Here is how I do it:
    I have an external hard drive that is partitioned in two.
    The first partition is the same size as my primary hard drive's capacity. I use that partition to store a complete backup / clone of my primary drive.
    The second partition is used to store misc. documents, downloaded program files, etc.
    I then use the free Carbon Copy Cloner to make an exact duplicate copy of my primary internal drive. This exact clone is bootable, so if something happens to my original installation, I can just boot from the clone and resume working (or boot from the clone, and clone it back to the original / internal hard drive).
    To boot from an external hard drive, you hold down the "Option" key at startup, and select the volume / drive you wish to boot from.
    Note that you can only boot from FireWire hard drives on PowerPC Macs. The Intel Macs can boot from either USB or FireWire. But, since you have a PowerPC Mac, you should get a FireWire drive.
    You can get Carbon Copy Cloner here:
    http://www.bombich.com/software/ccc.html
    Another popular program is SuperDuper (it's basically the same thing):
    http://www.shirt-pocket.com/SuperDuper/
    Carbon Copy Cloner does have a scheduler. So, once you have everything set-up to work as you like, then you can schedule it to run when you want.
    Now, until you are confident that you have everything set-up to clone properly, you should go ahead and test your backup to make sure it boots. So, after the backup is complete, you can restart your computer and hold down the "Option" key. Select the backup volume to boot. Then, check it out and make sure it boots properly and that everything is there and behaving as it should.
    It's good to test your backups to make sure that they are good. Otherwise, if something went wrong, and the backup was not a good backup, then you'd be in trouble.
    I hope this helps.
    Let us know if you have other questions.
    P.S., if you'd like, go ahead and click the "Helpful" or "Solved" buttons on any of the posts / replies above if you feel they were helpful or adequately answered your question.

  • Resume() not working

    Hi everyone,
    I couldnt find an answer to my problem anywhere, i hope some of you can help me out.
    I am trying to play a previously recorded video, everything works fine except the resume() method (same with togglePause() - when it's used to resume the video - the pause works just fine)
    Here's a bit of my code:
    this.customClient = new Object();
    this.customClient.onMetaData = metaDataHandler;
    this.nsPlay = new NetStream(this.nc);
    this.nsPlay.bufferTime = 2;
    this.nsPlay.addEventListener(NetStatusEvent.NET_STATUS, onPlaybackStatus);
    this.nsPlay.client = this.customClient;
    this.videoRemote.attachNetStream(this.nsPlay);
    this.nsPlay.play(this.MOVIE_NAME, 0);
    /** play/pause button click handler **/
    private function onPlayPause(evt:MouseEvent):void
                   this.nsPlay.togglePause();
    Any help or tip would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Janaki,
    Thanks for the reply. i am using flash 10 and this is what i get from netStatus when i hit the button (i have to mention that the video starts playing automatically, so the first button click is a pause)
    first click:
    NetStream.Pause.Notify
    NetStream.Pause.Notify
    NetStream.Buffer.Flush
    second click:
    NetStream.Unpause.Notify
    NetStream.Unpause.Notify
    NetStream.Play.Start
    Now, although it says "NetStream.Play.Start" and theoretically it _should_ play, the video is frozen and would not play again (no matter how many times i click the button).
    I also don't know why i get the Pause/Unpause events twice.
    As a sidenote, i also have a "stop" button that does the following:
    this.nsPlay.pause();
    this.nsPlay.seek(0);
    When i click this button, then use the "play/pause" button again multiple times, the togglePause() works fine for the first 3 times (i am getting it to resume() once, but just ONCE, any other attempts are getting me in the same freeze situations as before using the "stop" button).
    Any idea what can be wrong?
