Retail folio download error

Hello!
I have multi-folio app with retail content and subscription. 6 month ago i switched to DPS Enterprise and published v29 app with custom storefront. Since that time i'm receiving many reports about download errors. People can't download purchased issues - they receive the error message. It's just about retail folios, free folios are loading fine. I can't reproduce that at my end, everything is loaded perfectly by me. But i have many negative reviews and emails about this problem. What may be the reason for that and how to resolve it? Am i just one, who faced this?

  • V32 App Critical Bug: Folio Download Error!

    None of the folios will download in our 32.0.2 iOS8 app, and our customers are very upset. This has been going on for several days now without any fix. The Adobe Status page still shows green even though this is a critical distribution error happening to a lot of DPS customers. One customer told us that the app is showing 3G of space on his iPad from only one previous downloaded issue! Please fix this soon Adobe!

  • Content Viewer: Folio Download Keeps Failing

    We keep having a problem with downloading an app in the Content Viewer. We have many apps in there, and in this particular case it keeps giving us a download error typically right on the 50.0MB mark (of a 460MB folio). For this app we have an English and French version, but while the works fine this other one keeps failing every single time.
    I've tried downloading it at different locations because we've experienced errors in the past with Wi-Fi settings screwing it up ... but to no avail. I just can't seem to solve it this time. All of our other apps still download and update fine but just this one will never work. It reaches that same point in the transfer, times out, then fails.
    Has anyone else experienced this problem and found a resolution? Thanks for reading.

    Same size (1024x768) but different folio names, like FOLIONAME and FOLIONAME_FR. We have several projects like this where one is English and there is another French version as a separate folio. In the past this project was working fine but we recently added a bunch of new videos to each folio but since that time the error started happening. It added a fair bit of file size to everything but only the one article in each folio changed.
    Edit: I also tried deleting the recently updated article and adding it again. Nada.

    Over the last 2-3 days we are unable to figure out why on different generations of iPads the Adobe Content Viewer stops the download of folios after 10-15% out of the total of the app. "Download paused" and when I resume it, the message is "Download error, try to resume the download later".
    We have tried everything, reinstallaing,...
    Even log in is impossible since this morning.
    We are located in Belgium.
    Our client cannot see the work in progress.
    Does somebody else encounter the same problems?

  • In my .ipa viewer builder i can see free folio but not retail folio

    Hi,
    here's my prob: i am testing my viewer app for a multifolio subscription app. I can see the free issue but not the retail issue. I checked probably all the possible probs: in app purchase and retail folio have same ID, i logged out from iTunes and created a test account for the purchase. But after i tested and downloaded the free issue and loaded in the folio organizer the retail folio, nothing else appears in my .ipa...
    Any help would be soooooo appreciated

    ok, solved (but i'll leave the thread on, so it might be useful to anyone else): the problem was about IDs. Bundle ID was different from folio ID (i mean com.company.publication). They HAVE to be exactly the same

  • Downloading error? I need help. PLEASE!!

    Okay it says downloading error next to these episodes of stand up comedy I tried to download. I tap retry and a pop up comes that says " Unable to download"  I can click retry a bunch of times and the same thing always happens. --> "unable to download" And I can try swiping to the left to delete and that won't work. The little red delete button won't pop up. :( I have no idea what else to try.

    What happens when you connect to computer and restore via iTunes?
    Without knowing that:
    Try:                                               
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on           
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
    How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try another cable       
    - Try on another computer                                                       
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • .folio Downloads

    As a multi folio customer, how are we billed for additional folio downloads over the 250 per month Adobe gives us?  Once you reach the 250 limit, does the Apple store give In-App customers an error, or does Adobe start the billing process?  And what is this rate?  Fixed per number of downloads?  Based on sizse of folio?

    You need to purhcase Folio Bundles in Advance (eg Bundle of 10,000 downloads). Any additional downloads are deducted from your Folio bundle balance, which is also shown to you in your DPS Dashboard so that you may keep a track of downloads.
    In case you do not purchase the Folio Bundle and your dwonloads exceed, you get notifications via email and in your dashboard to purchase a Download Bundle. In case you do not purchase additional bundles and your negative download counts rises, Adobe may restrict your publishing untill you purchase Additional Bundle.

  • For which downloads we pay - folio downloads, or including erros and canceled downloads?

    My question is quite simple - for which folios we pay to Adobe (or which folios are deducted from our credit) - just Folio downloads, or for all downloads, including errors and canceled downloads?

  • Retail folio appears as free in the app

    Hello. We have a problem with a folio. Every month we make a little promotion with the last issue and we publish it as free for a limited number of downloads. Then, we cancel the publication and publish again the same folio but with different name for retail, but the last time we do that the issue don't appears as retail. The app is Motofan Magazine http://rtmag.eu/mfapp
    We're working in the v25. Do you have any ideas for why that happened to us this time? Thanks

    Or was it because "enable first retail folio free" is enabled within you application account? First retail folio free is a feature of R25: By selecting an option in the Account Administration tool, publishers can make the most recently published retail folio available to users who download the app for the first time.

  • Check folio download numbers | Analytics

    in Analytics > Folio > All download
    I have
    37 download started,
    12 download completed,
    10 download errors
    and 7 download cancelled.
    I'm a little confused. I think the sum of  completed + errors + cancelled (12+10+7=29) should give the started download result...
    The difference of 8, what does it mean?

    There could be 3 causes  why the sum of Issue Download (Completed + Errors+ Cancelled) is different than Issue Download Started:
    User starts to download folio A ('Issue Download Started' event is sent for folio A). Before the current download ends, user starts to download folio B. In this case, another 'Issue Download Started' event is sent for folio B, but folio A will remain in 'Download Paused' state without reaching a final Download state (Completed/Errors/Cancelled). Only if the user will tap again on the  folio A, the download will be resumed. This is most probably the cause why you are seeing different numbers
    User will start the download in the current day, but the final download state will be send in the next day. In this case, if the selected interval  ends today, then the raport will not contain the final Download state
    If the user has opt-in dialog enabled, it can select 'Don't Allow' tracking after the dowload starts and before the download will reach a final state. In this case, the events will  not be sent

  • Folio Download Problems on iPhone

    I have an iPhone 5 and I cannot get the folio downloaded.  Getting an "unsupported browser" error.  What can I do?

    Backup, Restore in iTunes afresh, Setup as new, Sync personal data back with iTunes tab helps many.

  • Download error in (osx) adobe desktop app (corrupted download link).

    Here is a discription of the problem. Please consider that some of the wording might not be correct, as I do have to translate the error message from German into English.
    Using OSX 10.9.2, when clicking inside the adobe desktop app (top of the screen bar) on the tap "apps", the following screen (screenshot) appears, which states, translated from top to bottom:
    download error
    download error. Please contact support.
    (link) contact support
    (link/button) download creative cloud -> This button unfortunatly leads to the following error page "http://www.adobe.com/special/errorpages/404.html"
    All apps, like Bridge, Photoshop, Lightroom, etc. are installed and work just fine. So no problem here. I seem however unable to redownload the desktop app (in order to reinstall). As stated above the provided link inside the desktop app itself is coruppted and within the (online) web-based download centre (user logged in) I am only adviced to use the desktop app. This is a dead end and I do not know what to make of this error, let alone solving it. Please help!

    I am sorry Romsinha but this doesn't really help.
    I already restarted the desktop app and while I am obviously online and connected the problem (error message) remains the same. Information within the "home" tap is recieved/loaded  (little blue spinning wheel) stating that various apps recently have been updated. Yet the same loading wheel within the "apps" tap results in an error. My best guess is that some internal link within the app is corrupted, leading to a source on a server that can not be reached.
    UPDATE
    I clean uninstalled adobe creative cloud as discribed in the article you provided (using the cleaner tool) and even uninstalled the browser plugin. After downloading and reinstalling creative cloud the problem however remains the same. "Apps" tap still shows the same problem. "Home" tap now displays the following:

  • "Download Error" - Can't download/install any programs.

    I downloaded CC on my Win 8.1 machine (after a windows crash and upgrade to 8.1).  Previously it was working fine (on Win 8).  Now the CC desktop app connects to my account but the Apps tab has a red exclamation error and when you click the tab it says "Download Error."  and to "Please contact customer support."  (See below:)
    Apparently this seems to be a prevalent issue as I see multiple threads and support requests with this same error.
    I got on Chat and followed all the troubleshooting advice, uninstalled, reinstalled, used the Removal tool, deleted folders from the AppData locations, everything.  Finally was getting ready to do something else and the Adobe server disconnected my chat session. 
    I know it is not MY internet connection because everything else is up and running fine, including streaming radio progams and other chat programs.
    I tried visiting something on Adobe's siteand received the following error:
    So what is going on Adobe?  I need to get my programs back so I can get back to work.
    Edited to add - After another hour of being on chat support I got disconnected again.  Same error:  "Sorry, we're having technical difficulties."

    So after four hours and dozens of troubleshooting issues, I figured out what was wrong.  I am on a fixed-wireless system at home.  I have used this same system and network setup in the past for CC.  My average DL speeds are 2.0 Mbps.  Not super fast but it has worked in the past.  On the 3rd or 4th chat session I was told that you can't use wireless with CC and I need to be on a fixed wired connection.  Finding that as rediculous as possible, I decided to test my network.  I logged off and used my AT&T CELL PHONE as a hotspot (which gets me about 4.0 Mbps download speeds, albeit with a higher ping) and VIOLA the Apps tab is there and I can download programs.

  • Download Error on Mavericks (mac)

    When I go to the Creative Cloud application on the desktop, I go to the Apps tab and I get "Download Error" and when I try to reload the application, the error persists. 
    I'm on a macbook running Mavericks, I've deleted the AAMUpdater (though it creates a new one every time I reload the applications) folder in ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe...  As per Re: Creative Cloud "Download Error" message , I looked in the OOBE folder and there was no opm.db, just a singe folder alias called "PDApp," which contained a pim.db, along with a bunch of other folders and files.  
    When I enabled the root user and logged into that account after restarting, I tried the Apps tab again and it was working just fine, in the root user.  But when I logged out and back into my regular account, I was still getting the download error.  I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Creative Cloud and that didn't work. I have Photoshop and Fireworks installed, so it WAS working at some point in time... I'm out of ideas...  Help please?

  • Download Error

    Hi, got an error message in the App section of CC Desktop on a PC with Windows 8.1: download error. I tried several time to reload the applications with no results. Any idea?
