Retail Folios in Sandbox Testing do not appear.

Hi,
While doing my sandbox testing on my iPad, my free folios appear inside my Development Viewer on Newsstand on my iPad but none of the Retail Folios show up in the same Viewer even though they are published. I have submitted the viewer to Apple Connect and also submitted single issue IAP's and a subscription IAP. Anyone come across this problem before?

Turns out the issue was I didnt have any banking, contact and tax information setup in my iTunes Connect account. This is my first paid App so hadnt set these up before. Once I populated my account with this information, hey presto, the Public/Retail folio's appeared in my developer viewer on my iPad.
PS: Thanks to Chris in DPS support for spotting it.

Test section not appearing

Hi,
I created a questionaire on OLM with multiple test sections. It displays all questions from all Test Sections when I preview it from Oracle Learning Management Administrator.
However, when I play it from Employee Self Service, it does not display the first Test Section that I created...it displays every other Test Section though.
Any idea what could possibly be the cause of this?

In my .ipa viewer builder i can see free folio but not retail folio

Hi,
here's my prob: i am testing my viewer app for a multifolio subscription app. I can see the free issue but not the retail issue. I checked probably all the possible probs: in app purchase and retail folio have same ID, i logged out from iTunes and created a test account for the purchase. But after i tested and downloaded the free issue and loaded in the folio organizer the retail folio, nothing else appears in my .ipa...
Any help would be soooooo appreciated

ok, solved (but i'll leave the thread on, so it might be useful to anyone else): the problem was about IDs. Bundle ID was different from folio ID (i mean com.company.publication). They HAVE to be exactly the same

Folio not appearing in Adobe Content Viewer on ipad

folio i created in indesign cs5.5 not appearing in Adobe Content Viewer on ipad.
I have CS5.5, Apple ipad 1st gen ios 5.0.1 Adobe content viewer 1.9.1
the folio appears on the acrobat.com site in the FOLIO PRODUCER
but nothing is appearing on my ipad in the Adobe Content Viewer.
I work for a large magazine publisher and would like to demo the folio on the ipad to sell the concept of the DPS.
However if i cant get this on my device, its going to be a no go.

Your doubts motivated me to do some testing on the subject;-)
I made several files of different dimensions, and uploaded them to the cloud. All of them rendered correctly on the desktop. But only those which used exact 4:3 width:height ratio appeared in the Content Viewer on the iPad. And only those, which were at least 1024x768px. A perfect 4:3 document sized 768x576 did not show. But the 1536x1152 one appeared correctly.
I am still certain, that the reason of absence od James' file in his iPad was caused by the dimensions of the folio. I would however modify my statement:
Only the folios sized exactly 1024x768 px (Landscape, portrait or both orientations) are valid for iPad
It should be: Only the folios sized 1024x768 px or more, with exact 4:3 ratio (Landscape, portrait or both orientations) are valid for iPad.

Newsstand folio not appearing despite account information and correct product id

Hi DPS peeps,
This issue is still on with all of my apps. Despite the fact that I have theTax and Banking Information updated on my itunes, I also have the right product IDs to all the issues on the folio producer. All folios that I have been publishing since the begining of this year are no where to be found on the newsstand. My subscribers are lamenting that the magazine they paid for are not available to read. I have been in deep ****!
Kindly help, what could be responsible for not making all the folios have been publishing appear on the newsstand.
Here are the things I have done.
- I have the right product Id for the monthly folio on the folio producer
- I create each cover on the newsstand
- I updated DPS on my mac
- I updated the app to v32 and made compatible with iOS 8
- I ensure that each magazine has cover date on the folio producer and newsstand.
- I have unpublish and republish
- I sent notification of all the magazine yet, they are not appearing.
- I recreated the mobile provisioning certificates for the magazine.
Please I await any requirement to help you investigate what could be responsible for non appearance of all my folios on all my magazines with Adobe DPS.

I was wondering, which of these In app is ok for my individual retail folio? is it Consumable, Non-Consumable, Auto-Renewable Subscriptions, or Non-Renewing Subscription because I am confuse as to which is appropriate. I felt I just have to be adding same Product ID for all my retail folio since am doing monthly and yearly subscription most time. I created another type of in-app purchase, but Apple kept not approving them.
Let me give you some load down: I initially choose Auto Renewable subscription for all my magazines and just keep using same ID for each magazine monthly, I submitted a consumable in-app purchase in the past, but Apple rejected the In-app purchase that I am doing auto-renewal, so I felt I was right by just repeating the product ID monthly.

Diagnosis
No data exists for the specified paying company code 2200 and the specified sending company code 2220 in payment proposal 13.08.2011 TEST.
System Response
The payment proposal cannot be edited.
Procedure
Check the flow trace and payment proposal list in order to determine why the specified company codes are not contained in the proposal.

Ensure that there are no other proposals lying with the same vendors , where in the payment run is not made .
The error that you are experiencing is due to blocking of vendors account as they are blocked in other proposals .
Find out the proposal where in the same vendor is used and in which you have not run the payment run :
1. Either delete that proposal if you dont require it .
2. Do the payment run for the proposal .
After performing any of the above , re run your proposal where error is experienced it will run now .

HTML articles and InDesign articles that use JPEG or PNG image format display thumbnail images in the Folio Producer Editor. However, no thumbnails appear in articles that use the PDF image format.

Can't perform a Apple Hardware Test because the alternate menu does not appear after pressing "D" while it restarts. What can I do?

I followed the instructions on the macbook manual and inserted the disk, i pressed and hold "D" but the menu did not appear.
I want to know if there is anything that can be done.

Is the DVD you are trying to use the original install DVD or a retail Snow Leopard DVD

Viewer Version option not appearing in New Folio window

When I create a new folio I do not get the option to specify the Viewer Version.
The option does not appear in the New Folio window - see screengrab.
As I understand it - I need to set this to v23 or higher to allow my multistate objects to export as vectors when article is set to PDF (to prevent pixelisation on some ios devices).
I am using CS5 on a mac with the latest versions of the folio tools etc.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

I've just tried installing the tools on another machine (same hardware & software) and it works fine.
It seems there's something wrong with my install of the tools, in the About panel of the folio builder mine says : 13.1.1.20130115_m_709452 7.0.5.17
Where as the machine that works says: 13.1.1.20130115_m_709452 7.0.9.23
I've uninstalled the Folio Builder Panel and the Folio Producer Tools, then reinstalled - but no change.
Any ideas?

IPad 3 folio not appearing after publish

Hi
I have published the 2048 rendition first before the 1024 rendition on Newsstand... but the 2048 isn't appearing in the iPad 3.
I have not pushed notifications for any of it. And waited a few hours, yet it's still not appearing.
But when I publish the 1024 rendition later, the iPad 3 received the 1024 rendition instead of the 2048.
What am I not doing right?
If I have done the process wrongly and click 'UnPublish' and re-publish, will it not overwrite the wrong process?
Please help!

Hi, I would go as follows: 1. Delete the 1024 rendition in Folio Producer 2. Delete the 1024 issue on iPad3 (3. You might have to reinstall the app as well) 4. Set a folio number for the 2048 issue and republish. Stefan

You don't have to re-publish the folios.

On iOS i see the retail folio + other free folio, on Android i see only the free folio.
The private key is copied in the Title id account (and then i login in the DPS dashboard with the title id).
And the Google Merchant Account is verified and confirmed this morning.
What do you think?

Retail folio appears as free in the app

Hello. We have a problem with a folio. Every month we make a little promotion with the last issue and we publish it as free for a limited number of downloads. Then, we cancel the publication and publish again the same folio but with different name for retail, but the last time we do that the issue don't appears as retail. We're working in the v25. Do you have any ideas for why that happened to us this time? Thanks

Or was it because "enable first retail folio free" is enabled within you application account? First retail folio free is a feature of R25: By selecting an option in the Account Administration tool, publishers can make the most recently published retail folio available to users who download the app for the first time.

Sandbox in amazon not working.

Has anyone been able to sucessfully test their app in an amazon sandbox environment? We followed the instructions in the sdk; creating a JSON file and downloading the sdk tester. We got the sample file provided by amazon to work, but not the .apk produced by the folio builder.
Adobe support pointed to a flaw on the amazon side. Amazon told us to contact Adobe. So we're left chasing our tail a bit.
If anyone has had success in this test environment, it would be great to know it's possible. And if you have any workarounds or wisdom to share, please do...

So far this has been a pretty horrible experience, with poor support offered by both sides--Adobe & Amazon.
I spent a couple of days toying around with Amazon's In-App purchase documentation, and then finally someone piped up at Amazon and said, "This isn't the process for testing Adobe Air apps."
On Adobe's side, they sent us a .json file that prevented the app from crashing on initial launch, and no further documentation or information regarding what the file was or how it could be modified. Adobe's support directed me to Amazon's documentation, what you linked to, which is wrong for DPS apps, apparently.

It's still pretty poor documentation as far as clearly explaining things go. We've gotten to a point where we can get our retail folio to show up in the app, can purchase it, and it begins downloading (although it throws an error during the purchase process.)
Amazon is investigating further at this point, and I'm still trying to play around with subscription testing, but haven't gotten anywhere. I'll follow-up when we've made progress.

Excise tab in not appearing in GR (new plant configured)

Excise tab is not appearing while GR posting.
I have configured a new plant in Sandbox server for testing purpose. Have done all required settings as under:
- New Plant configured
- Complete Excise related configuration done in Logistics General-> Tax on Goods Movement
- PR and PO created successfully. PO showing correct excise duty, cess, hcess, CST component etc.
- Material and vendor excise details maintained properly in J1ID
I guess I have missed excise related config somewhere in SPRO
please help !

SPRO ->> Logistics general ->> tax on Goods Movements->>India ->>Basic setting ->> Maintain Plant Settings)
###Check Excise Group created & assigned to new plant in following path:
SPRO ->> Logistics general ->> tax on Goods Movements->>India ->>Basic setting ->> Maintain Excise Groups)
For above setting also select check box of EI Capture and select check box of Post EI in MIGO

SANDBOX TESTING PROCESS

This is my first experience to submit Apps to the Apple Store, in this case a magazine. According to Adobe Publishing Process for iPad Viewer Apps - A Companion Guide I have to test the retail issue in the sandbox. In order to understand the sandbox environment I have already read in detail the "Managing Your In App Purchases" section of the iTunes Connect Developer Guide. Nevertheless, the sandbox concept is not still clear to me.
I must to point out that I am not a developer and all the information gathered about this topic turns around the Xcode, C objective, and JavaScript among others, and the information that I have from them is a basic information. I know it is mandatory to test my app in a development environment by utilizing sandbox but I have no idea how to carry-out that task. Please advise as soon as possible.

First, testing the in-app purchases in the sandbox is recommended but not required. I am not agree with this statement. The iTunes Connect Guide 7.2 emphasizes testing my In-App Purchases and it is not recommended, it is mandatory to Apple. Do not forget that Apple governs the app submission process.
The idea behind the sandbox is to test your in-app purchases without paying real money. To test in the sandbox, you sign out of your iPad. You create a test account in iTunes Connect, and then open your test app and click a Buy button. When you're asked to provide an ID, you use the test account information. You then make the fake purchase, and no real money is exchanged. These steps are laid out in the Companion Guide. Search for "sandbox" All the steps described in the Adobe Publishing Process for iPad Viewer Apps document were executed minutely by me. This sandbox testing process is explained in more detail in the "Managing Your In App Purchases" section of the iTunes Connect Developer Guide but in spite of my efforts I could not to generate the sandbox environment. Attached, you will find an image which displays the "NULL" value instead of a price for a subscription. Notice that the message is in spanish, here you are a translation into english. Any suggestion will be welcomed.
