Retain responsibilities after clone

Hi All,
My requirement is to retain all the responsibilities of all users in a cloned instance as how they are before clone.
I am on 12.1.3 . I think I can do it by export/import of some tables or using FNDLOAD . I am looking to find the easiest way to do so , any suggestions are of great help.

I am not sure if i am getting you...
I need to retain the responsibilities at target as how they are before clone. same resp will be their in system after clone too..cloning means same data..in oracle everything is in form of data stored in tables so if data is not changed then how will resp be?
I am sorry if i am not getting you...pls give a example if possible.

I came know the issue bcoz of profile change.
on part of iSupport setup on web node, followed metalink DMZ configuration in R12.
After I have changed below profile value, I am not able to see the responsibilities after login as sysadmin on webnode i.e new node B. but I can see responsibilities on node A.
Update Node Trust Level
To change the value of the Node Trust Level profile option value to External for a particular node, perform the following steps:
1.       Login to Oracle E-Bsonapness Suite as sysadmin user sonapng the internal URL
2.       Select the System Administrator Responsibility
3.       Select Profile / System
4.       From the 'Find system profile option Values' window, select the server and get the valie MINE8 into it.
5.       Query for %NODE%TRUST%. You will see a profile option named 'Node Trust Level'. The value for this profile option at the site level will be Normal. Leave this setting unchanged.
6.       Set the value of this profile option to External at the server level. The site level value should remain set to Normal
I need to follow metalink note for configuration DMZ in EBS R12. but I cant see the responsibilities of sysadmin.
fyi...I have cloned web external node by running adcfgclone.pl on node B by enabling web entry and web services only, remaining services are disabled. but as per metalink note, we should enable the Root Services also on node B. is it causing the issue after edit the profile on part of DMZ config in R12.
please let me know how to fix this issue?

Apache service doesnt start after clone

we have a cloned environment and after clone finished successfully (as mentioned in logs ) , Apache service doesn't start at all while all other services are started successfully
andwhen i issued adapcctl.cmd it resulted error status 2 . i think this might help .Please check Apache log files as well as startup log file for details about the error.

Path wrong after clone

Hi:
After clone (12.1.3 on linux), I see a link still poiting to prod.
$emctl cleastate agent

I'v included the /u01/orcldb/tech_st/11.1.7/bin in the PATH. Please tell me how to fix it

There is no point in creating duplicate threads, just update the original one.
As mentioned in the other thread, please log a SR and this issue is not reported in MOS website. And, if I understand you correctly you mentioned that you have all OS pre-req. software and packages installed, so the best action would be logging a SR.

I am sorry to bother you but this is the only place I know I can get an answer. I was asked to update a profile (EBS 12.1.3, 11.1.7 db, Linux) after clone from the following select statement below: (this is to update the outbound directory from prod to no-prod after clone).

from IBY_SYS_PMT_PROFILES_TL tl
,IBY_SYS_PMT_PROFILES_B b
where system_profile_name in ('UXS US Bank','UXS Wire US Bank')

I tried but got error: "ORA-01427: single-row subquery returns more than one row". This statment retures two rows. I don't know how to fix it.

Acc to this note the cause is "FND_NODES was not populated correctly. " after a node was added. This issue is just coming after a clone and the table FND_NODES is updated properly.1. What is exact error you are hitting?
2. Did you run autoconfig on db tier than apps tier(services should be down)

Concurrent Manger not startted after clone in apps 11i

After clone refresh concurrent managers are not started. The value of concurrent_queue_name, node_name is not correct in table fnd_concurrent_queues table.
O/P of the queries

Can you find any errors in the CM log file?
Please follow the steps in (Note: 391406.1 - How to get a clean Autoconfig Environment) to clean FND_NODES table and run AutoConfig on the database and the application tier nodes, and check then. You may also run cmclean.sql (Note: 134007.1 )once AutoConfig is done and before starting the CM.

FND_CONC_CLONE.SETUP_CLEAN HANGS after clone

Hi,
After clone to clean the fnd tables.
we executed FND_CONC_CLONE.SETUP_CLEAN . But it seems to be hang.
Sufficient space in tablespaces and file system is also having space.
No locks in database as well.
Env is 12.0.4 and apps user is agetting locked frequently.
Please help in sorting this issue

Nokia 6288 doesn't retain settings after reboot

Hi, i've a problem with a Nokia 6288 that after each reboot
does not retain settings regarding "Normal" profile and background. If i turn off the phone, when i turn it back on it reverts to blank backround and "nokia tune" ringtone and all other settings to default.
I already tried to reset it to factory default but had no luck.
Also tried reflashing firmware with nokia software updater but the problem still remains.
There is a way for "hard resetting" it to factory default?

A nokia care point can hard reset a series 40 phone, you cannot do it yourself. They will also be able to fix your problem.

Retaining playlists after clean reinstall of OS (all info on external HD)?

Okay, this happens to me every single time I have to do this:
I run my iTunes entirely off of an external hard drive - so everything it there including the iTunesLibrary.xml files (I also have the entire hard drive backed up on a completely separate external drive due to past complications like this). SO - I had to do a clean reinstall of the Snow Leopard OS because my Mac is old and probably on its last legs (which is a question for a whole different support area) and now I want to run iTunes while maintaining the playlists and playcounts and all that other stuff that I had before - while also retaining all of my apps and movies and downloads, etc.
I've done this before and each time I have had to call for support and it takes hours, literally hours, to get it fixed - and sadly, I have no recollection of what we did previously. I have tried following the advice from other support questions on this forum, but something is amiss and not working properly. I have tried to redirect iTunes to the External HD through the advanced pane from the Preferences menus.....I have opened iTunes while holding "option" and choosing the External HD and it starts to reload ALL of my music and does not reload the playlists AND it is moving the folders all over the place and it looks like it's creating duplicate files as well.
Seriously, this is getting aggravating. When I first moved my files to an external I had to do this and lost all of my playlist info. Then I had to move to a larger external and lost all of my playlist info. I had issues with that external and had to move it all again, and this time, after calling for support, I saved my playlist info, but ended up with lost songs and duplicates of almost 5000 songs. I'm afraid that after messing around with the HD I have plugged in now trying to reload everything that it is screwed up and will mess up and create even more duplicates so I may have to use my back-up HD.
If that's the case, please will someone help me figure out how to do this? All I want is to open iTunes using my External HD (as I always do) while maintaining my playlists and playcounts and everything that I had prior to my reload of the OS.......please?!?!

Snow Leopard can be reinstalled over the exisitng system without losing any user data.

Hold Option, launch iTunes, select Choose library... and select the iTunes folder on the external
That is all you need to do.
Make sure the exterrnal is powered on, mounted on the desktop and ready before launching iTunes.

Nothing should get "reloaded" as it is simply the same iTunes library as before. Simply opening a library doesn't load anything new.

Grid control not working after clone

After ebs 12.1.3 on linux clone, I found grid control doesn't work. Database is 11.1.0.7. Don't know if it worked before or not. I managered to start up the agent, secured the agent, upload agent. From the grid control, I can see the host is up, but the database on that server is down. on the database page, Host name is there, but the Port, SID Oracle Home are all blank. I tried agent resync and got errors like below:

Problem with FIMSynchronizationService after clone

After cloning an environment and using cliconfg to point to a new database server and using stsadm to rename the application server, the cloned Sharepoint environment isnt working. Trying to access central admin I get a 503 Service unavailable. The
application pool for the SecurityServiceTokenApplication crashes along with central admin, I see the following in event logs.
The following services are managed by SharePoint, but their running state does not match what SharePoint expects: FIMSynchronizationService.
Also:
The server encountered an unexpected error and stopped.

So basically there seems to be an issue with the user profile synchronization after the cloning. Any suggestions?

Cloning isn't supported with SharePoint as cloned servers will point back to the 'production' Configuration database. Unless you've isolated the clones completely from the production network, I would not proceed.
But in this case, you'd have to delete the User Profile Service App and databases, then create a new UPSA.
