Retardo del trazo en el pincel cs5.

Buenos dias.
Me guataria saber por qué el trazo del pincel tiene tanto retardo,lo he probado en distintos ordenadores y en distintos sistemas operativos, cuanto más grandes son los archivos y más grande es el trazo mayor es el retardo, no creo que sea una limitacion del equipo la ultima prueba fue realizada en el último imac. Algien puede arrojar algo de luz a este respecto.Gracias.

As with all unexplainable Photoshop-problems you might try trashing the prefs (after making sure all customized presets like Actions, Patterns, Brushes etc. have been saved and making a note of the Preferences you’ve changed) by pressing command-alt-shift on starting the program or starting from a new user-account.
System Maintenance (repairing permissions, purging PRAM, running cron-scripts, cleaning caches, etc.) might also be beneficial, Onyx has been recommended for such tasks.

Weeding out bad fonts never seems to be a bad idea, either. (Validate your fonts in Font Book and remove the bad ones.)
If 3rd party plug-ins are installed try disabling them to verify if one of those may be responsible for the problem.
Does turning off OpenGL in the Performance Preferences and restarting Photoshop have any bearing on the issue?

Currently looking at buying a DELL inspiron 15R for my 16yr old daughter. She is interested in graphic design and will be studing it next year so also getting Photoshop CS5.
Specs I'm looking at are:

Does this laptop have the necessary 'grunt' for photoshop. It exceeds system requirement for photoshop CS5. but specs are usually slower than reality.
SHould i update the chip to an i5? Intel Core i5 460M (2.53GHz/3MB cache)
or alternatively should I change the video card to a dedicated card option ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 5650 - 1GB?

From my personal experience, I wouldn't go for an Integrated card. This is one of the most important components for Photoshop, so invest in a decent graphics card (ATI or NVidia). It doesn't have to be a really exepensive one - I have been using ATI Radeon with 256MB of RAM on my Dell Studio for almost two years and it still rocks! (even when I work with 3D in Ps CS5 Extended).
I would also invest in more RAM (this can be added easily - I bought extra 4GB as my Studio came with 3GB).
I wouldn't worry about the processor - I'm on Intel Core 2 Duo - and it works very very well, it's very quick which is very important as I'm training Photoshop.

Hola a todos!
Estoy buscando dónde esta la herramienta para resaltar texto, es decir, como cuando pasas un rotulador fluorescente por encima, y no la encuentro en Indesign cs5 (es el que tengo). ¿Podríais ayudarme? Llevo mucho tiempo buscándolo y nada....

En Adobe InDesign la herramienta marcador (fluorescente) o de resaltar texto, no existe.
Lo que si puedes hacer es subrayar texto, para ello seleccionas el texto y le aplicas el subrayado, entre cuyas opciones puedes definir, el color y matiz, el grosor del trazo, el tipo de trazo y su desplazamiento vertical, para asi poderlo centrar.
La forma más fácil de aplicarlo tras seleccionar un texto es pulsando en el icono de subrayado que aparece en la barra de Control, (el tercero de tres iconos en una fila superior) a la derecha de la ventana del cuerpo o tamaño de texto. Al final de la barra de Control en un menú desplegable, o usando el botón derecho del ratón puedes acceder a las opciones de subrayado. También puedes acceder más rapidamente, y a la vez que subrayas, pulsando sobre el icono indicado con la tecla ALT. Estas opciones también las tienes en el panel de Carácter.
Mi consejo es que una vez aplicado en alguna palabra, lo conviertes en un estilo de caracter, y asignarle un atajo numérico, pudiendo entonces aplicarlo con mayor comodidad. Si en cualquier momento decides cambiar el color o el grosor, p. ej., sólo tienes que editar el estilo de carácter del subrayado.

Encore CS5 freezes as I build a DVD

I'm attempting to burn a DVD on a Dell Optiplex 755 using Encore CS5 that was recently installed on a Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit OS with 4 GB of RAM. The project will start to build the DVD but then freeze up and give me (Not Responding). I've checked the event viewer and was unable to find any events in there and there are no error messages displaying on the screen. Please HELP!!!

Tired of color desat when opening in Bridge/Lightroom. HELP!

I am going insane in my attempt to keep consistent color management through all areas. Everything was fine, color was great, prints were matched to calbration, monitor calibrated, and then....I rebooted the computer since I hadn't done so for a week, and when I restarted Bridge, and Lightroom (yields same results), the color immediately drains from the photos. Similar to the screenshot, however when I initially created this screenshot, Bridge was still accepting the color. Now, the desaturation exists in all Adobe programs. (PS CS5, camera raw, bridge , lightroom 3. I feel like I'm going in circles here. I have no clue what could have changed with the reboot. One thing I have noticed is that in Window before a photo image is generated in a folder is shows as a paint pallette. And, when asked in Windows Color Management of the program I would like to use to install a profile, I am give Microsoft Color Management System (which to my understanding is designed for Vista or XP). Tried to delete the program but was denied. Not sure if that has anything to do with it either.
If you have any insight and can help me stop the madness I would be so greatly appreciative!!

Let me resume:
Non colormanaged applications (like windows explorer) shows your images right, managed apps like LR and Bridge, which have different cache folders, shows them desaturated, even the previewed NEF.
Putting this together, it can't a problem with the cache, harddisk, CF card. I mean, a cache is a cache, and might needed to be updated from time to time, f.e. when changing the monitor- or image profile. But I expect you always have done this.
That's it - most of the rest (the tests done) provides unreliable information, sorry. I'm aware that to most of them you were forced by others, so don't take my following statements to personal.
Nevertheless I believe what we see partitial is right: some of your images are untagged (at least the PSD we see in one of the screenshots in here)
Untagged images should look the same in IE and Firefox unless you set Gfx.color management.mode to 1 and assign the monitor profile to FF. Per default CM in FF is enabled for tagged images only and by this acts like IE <V9 on untagged images
Untagged sRGB should look oversaturated on wide-gamut monitors and browsers on which you can't apply a profile. Believe that is what you get.

all the images you presented in threads in here are untagged ;-)
Some might think different about that, but IMHO images always should have an embedded profile, even sRGB JPEGs used for web. You already get some hints on that in the other thread and the links to Ballard - even when his webdesign is a bit odd, its worth reading.
I believe your issue is a combination of untagged images, a faulty monitor profile and maybe false handling.
As implied above, personaly I can't trust any of the tests here, because they are (including the browser test I mentioned) not consistant done - I will tell you why.
What you see next are three of the images you provided here, but stacked:
#1 (RGB/8*)*
here the second * indicates, that the image was altered (either bei assigning a colorspace or bei normal editing) after it was loaded and in a colorspace which is different from Photoshops working colorspace, which is indicated by the first *
#2 (RGB/8*)
indicates images colorspace is different from Photoshops working colorspace - that's fine when the working space is aRGB and the image f.e. sRGB
#3 (RGB/8)
no *, no # in here indicates it is in Photoshops working colorspace.
(RGB/8#) at the top would mean it is untagged, but when when colormanagement was OFF in that moment, it also would read as (RGB/8) or (RGB/16) (without an # or *) at the top, but "untagged" in the info panel at the bottom, even when the image has an embedded profile...
On the otherhand - and this is the important part - the Photoshop (import) settings you provided here, tells that your PS is at "preserve embedded profiles" BUT "ask when opening" at profile mismatches. By this you will be asked whenever an image profile mismatches the working colorspace.
The latter should be unchecked, anyway.
So what have you been doing, when you were asked for image #1 and #2? With this settings and since their colorprofiles are different from PS working space, you must have been asked and have assigned a profile different from working space or you haven't been asked (because images colorspace and the working space was the same) and you assigned a different profile initially later.
Or you have changed settings again and again when taking those screenshots....
When you say you see images as untagged in Bridge but in Photoshops info panel as "Adobe RGB (1998)" this can be, when a profile was added (assigned) after the image was imported to PS. Bridge will not know about that until you save the image.
Will say: those of us trying to help, never know exactly what they are here looking at (maybe without realizing)
Do we see a sRGB under an aRGB working space (RGB/8*) for #2? And #3, is this an aRGB image under an aRGB working space or a sRGB image under sRGB, (both would appear as RGB/8)? Or was the image untagged and colormanagement was off?
Seems a bit chaotic, sorry.
At least this is nothing on which I'ld be able to tell for sure what is going on.
Next: the monitor profile you sent to me, turns my U2410 dark and too much purple/reddish.
Of course there should be a differences (different monitor, different environment light and my old eyes), but this is far to much - it hurt my eyes
As far I know, LR internal uses the Melissa color space (which is larger than aRGB) - I wonder what happens when RAW were processed via Meliassa to aRGB with a too reddish monitor profile and are saved as untagged aRGB....?
I also wonder how LR can be configured to export to PSD without they being tagged...? Nevertheless, I was able to reproduce this once. For one of my PSDs the profile was removed, but at the moment I don't know how to reproduce that again.
As said just make sure you images are tagged. But don't just apply a profile to those images already processed, when you don't know what really happend to them - it might get worse.
Anyway.
To solve your prob, you should forget about LR for now and remove the monitor profile made with the Spyder, set the DELL profile which comes with the CD and process images from scratch.
Means straight from NEF in one colorspace only -> via Photoshops ACR (output as aRGB and make sure aRGB is your working space in PS), save them as PSD or TIFF and make sure they get tagged as aRGB. See if it makes a difference (color shift or not), when viewed in Bridge.
If there is no shift, start over with calibrating your monitor. Calibrating means setting the hardware right, by making sure the monitor was set to aRGB and brightness and contrast was adjusted, before you profilling it with the Spyder.
If the problem still exists with this new profile and with images, which were processed by the above workflow and by the new conditions (make sure of that, the already processed images might be messed up) again let some one with an U2410 check the new profile.
If its still have a huge red shift on another U2410, it might point to a hardware fault (either Monitor or Spyder)

screenshot.
AFAIK this setting means, that Windows is loading the LUT and not a third-party LUT-Loader, coming with the profiling device.

Content Aware Fill not responding

CS5 running 64 bit Windows 7 on a Dell Studio1747 icore 7 with 6 gig mem is not responding to a delete to start Content Aware Fill. How do I reset it? Drop down under Edit only show content-aware-scale.
I select the blank area, modify to expand pixels and then "delete" and content aware fill use to work when i first installed the program but now i can't get it going. Shift- DEL, CTRL Del

Pluma en Illustrator

Hola,
Actualmente utilizo Illustrator para diseñar y me gustaría saber si puedo cambiar las peferencias de la pluma para dibujar. En concreto me gustaría que al dibujar con la pluma hubiera una manera de visualizar el trazado como lo hace en freehand y photoshop. Si pincho en un punto y estiro poder ver el trazo. Estoy acostumbrado a trazar y redibujar con esos programas y me supone una pérdida de tiempo trazar con la pluma en Illustrator.

La versión que utilizo es la 10 y la plataforma es windows xp profesional. No es que sea un problema grave, pero me parece raro que no muestre el trazo entre dos puntos (sólo muestra el trazo cuando he pinchado en el segundo punto), y yo lo que quiero es visualizar el trazo y poder dirigirlo sin tener que marcar el segundo punto. No se si me explico. En photoshop, en la herramienta pluma, tienes la opción de goma elástica para activar o desactivar la visualización del trazo. Pensaba que en Illustrator también había una casilla de activación, pero la verdad es que no la encuentro.

Hola, tengo el siguiente problema, de vez en cuando y no se como desaparece el cursor punta de pincel a tamaño completo pasando a preciso, de la misma manera que desaparece aparece.
He probado de reiniciar photoshop, he cambiado las preferencias y nada.
Me gustaria saber que puedo hacer para poder visualizar el pincel a tamaño completo.

En ocasiones pulsamos sin darnos cuenta (inadvertidamente ;-D) la tecla de Bloqueo de Mayúsculas, y este es precisamente el atajo de Photoshop para cambiar la forma del icono de los pinceles de establecido en las Preferencias al modo preciso. Mira a ver si esta es la causa.

Muestras en Illustrator

Hola a todos
Tengo una duda, quiero hacer un plano y quiero resaltar, por ejemplo, una autovia, lo que quiero hacer es que el relleno del trazo que será esa autovia este compuesto por ejemplo por tres lineas que sean azul-blanco-azul.
He probado a crear tres trazados y agruparlos y despues arrastrarlos hasta las muestras utilizando la nueva muestra creada para el color del trazo de la autovia, pero no se ajusta al trazado y no se como hacerlo.
Otra cosa que no se es por qué cuando yo doy dicho color si muevo el trazo da la impresión de que el fondo es fijo y no de que se mueva con el trazo. Esto también me pasa cuando le doy un relleno a un cuadrado, si lo muevo el fondo varía ya que parece quedarse fijo atrás.

Aquí podría pasar completamente desapercibido para los que podrían responderte.
También te sugiero dar de partida el máximo de información relevante a tu problema, lo que facilitará ayudarte. Por ejemplo, no dices de qué programa (y versión) estás hablando, y ni siquiera si estás en Mac o Win.
Por último, sospecho que la respuesta a tu pregunta está en el menú Ayuda del programa correspondiente. ¿Ya miraste allí?

Help with CS5 Install to New Dell Laptop!

I am consistently getting this (ERROR: DW050: - Adobe Color EU CS5.5: Install failed), after several attempts to install CS5.5 on my new Dell laptop computer. I turned off my firewall and antivirus security, as suggested by the installer, but none of it made any difference. I have the download exe. file on my network drive, however I did place a copy on my desk top to do the install. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Please provide us with the following logs.

Program Files(x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Installers
You can zip all the files together and send us through mail. This would help us in finding the root cause.

Tamaño del Pincel

Hola Foro,
Para los que usamos el teclado en castellano...como se agranda o reduce el tamaño del pincel con atajos de teclado? En ingles es la tecla de la tilde y el asterico, pero en español no funciona.

En el teclado en Español se hace con las teclas de interrogación
? es para reducir
¿ es para aumentar

Rotacion del Pincel

Hola, desearia saber si se puede rotar un pincel mientras es usado. O sea, si se puede girar a medida que se usa
Supongase una marca de agua que primero la colocamos en horizontal pero seguidamante la queremos a 45º

En el panel de Pinceles, puedes probar a seleccionar algunos pinceles, no todos, en el primer conjunto de opciones a la izqda., Forma de la punta del pincel, dispone de un ajuste de Ángulo. Ahí puedes colocar 45º o el valor que más te guste.
Ahora bien, si lo que quieres es que vaya girando necesitarás usar un ajuste (aleatorio) llamado Angle Jitter (en Dinámicas de Forma) más comódo y fácil de usar con una tableta (Wacom) y si lo que realmente quieres es controlar con precisión el ángulo con que se aplique en cada momento, segun vas dibujando, necesitarás una tableta Wacom con un lápiz llamado Art-Pen (no es el que viene incluido).

Retardo del trazo en el pincel cs5.
