  • Restore contacts from stolen phone

    Hello all,
My Nokia 6234 has been stolen and I am desperate to get hand on those contacts I had there. I have synced the phone several times with the computer via Nokia PC suite 6.81.13.0, but in my Outlook - which was supposed to be synced with PC suite - there are only names, but no numbers, nowhere!!! And I am not able to find any other contact file whatsoever. Please help. Thanx for advice!

Wow, such a fast reply! Yes I used PC sync, but the log says it had to be stopped due to problems and it seems, thet according to the protocol nothing has been synced, but I know, that in my phone there were some info from the computer.
When I added numbers to my phone I used standard fields, ie. phone number (standard) and work contacts.
Is there any file, where the contacts could be hidden in my computer?

  • How to get contacts from stolen phone

my iphone got stolen and when i try to track it on icloud it says its offline and i need to figure out how to get all my contact back but they wont show up on icloud when i go to contacts

If they aren't showing in iCloud, then you may not have been syncing your contacts to iCloud.  Could you have been syncing with another service?  Like Yahoo, Gmail, Hotmail, etc?  If not, I'm sorry.

My iPhone is stolen. How can I get my address book back from the iCloud? I should have synchronized my iPad address book. However, I loss some recent contacts from iPhone.

I use my iPad to get the address book backed up by iCloud from my iPhone. However, I cannot see the recent new contacts from my iPad. Is there anyway to check the iCloud server to see if my address book backup from my iPhone is still there?

  • HT204053 can I retrieve all my contacts from I Cloud?  My I Phone 5 was stolen recently and I have done a simswap  in order to keep my number but I don't have an I Phone anymore

My contacts were saved onto I Cloud but I don't have an Apple device to load them again.
I'm still paying off my stolen cell and am usiing a Nokia in the meantime.

You can download your contacts from icloud.com as a vCard, as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/PH3606.  This can be used to import them to another service such as Google contacts.  If your Nokia phone supports it, you could then set up your Gmail account on your phone and enable contacts syncing to view them on your phone.

  • How to recover contacts from a stolen iphone

Hey guys please can you help me recover my contacts from my stolen iPhone.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
If they were in iCloud, just log onto your account on another device or access them at iCloud.com on a computer.

  • Can you copy contacts from iphone 3gs to a pc?

I want to copy my contacts from iphone 3gs to pc so i can copy them back to my new iphone 4 is that possible?

Contacts are designed to be synced with a supported address book application on your computer. With XP, this can be with Outlook 2003, 2007, or with 2010 if 2010 is supported with XP along with syncing calendar events and notes, or with the address book app used by Outlook Express called Windows Contacts for syncing contacts only. Not a good idea to depend on your iPhone or on any cell phone alone for this data which can be lost or stolen.
If you don't have Outlook available and you don't use Windows Contacts - Windows Contacts is empty, before the first sync for this data, enter one contact in Windows Contacts. This will provide a merge prompt with the first sync for this data, which you want to select. Syncing contacts with Windows Contacts is selected under the Info tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes.

  • Transferring Contacts from a Curve

A few months ago I backed up all my contacts from my Curve (forget which model number) onto my computer via a blackberry program. Just a day or two after that the phone was stolen. I now have an iphone and have been unsucessful at moving my contacts over to the new phone. I have an old blackberry storm that I've been trying to transfer the old numbers to but that also have been unsuccesful. How can I get my old numbers onto my new phone or the storm?
    Thanks!

You can't get the data directly from the BlackBerry backup into the iphone. The BB backup file will only restore to another BB.

  • How do I sync contacts from one iPhone's backup to brand new iPhone?

    Hi all,
I recently just lost my iPhone 3G, it was stolen and I could not get it back. The only "copy" of my iPhone 3G and it's contacts are in the backup file found in my iTunes.
fyi, My iPhone was formatted to sync with my iTunes on Mac.
The question is: if I were to purchase a brand new iPhone, can the contacts from the backup file in iTunes be sync to the new iPhone? If it is possible, how do I do that?
    Please help!

When you get your new phone & connect it to itunes, you will be given the option of restoring from backup or setting up as new. Select restore from backup. This must be followed by a sync to restore your itunes content. Make sure you have at least ONE entry for contacts & calendars in whatever supported application you use for that purpose on your computer. These entries can be fake, that doesn't matter, the important point is that these programs NOT BE EMPTY. When you do sync after restoring from backup, you'll get a merge or replace prompt regarding your contacts & calendar, select merge.

  • How do I restore my contacts from an earlier backup?

Lost some but not all contacts when I got a new phone. How can I restore my contacts from a backup I did earlier this week?

When restoring an iPhone from the backup, the current backup being used is selected by default. If a previous backup is avaialble, you can select it from the pop-up where the current backup selected by default is located.
Contacts should be available in a supported address book app on your computer for a number of reasons with this being one of them. If so, the contacts would be transferred from the address book app on your computer without having to restore the iPhone with iTunes and in then event there is a problem with the backup in regards to this data. If the iPhone were lost or stolen or damaged and not usuable, your contacts would be available as well or syncing with another phone in the event the iPhone was not replaced with another, etc.

  • How to get contacts from Verizon non-smart phone to iPhone 4S

What is the best way to get my contacts from my LG Voyager to the iPhone 4S?
    Thank you

Certainly the LG Voyager supports syncing contacts with a supported address book app on your computer?
With Wimdoze, the iPhone supports syncing contacts with Outlook 2003, 2007, or 2010 along with syncing calendar events and notes or with the address book app used by Outlook Express or Windows Mail called Windows Contacts for syncing contacts only, and with the Address Book on a Mac.
You need to get the contacts from the Voyager into a supported address book on your computer - the contacts should already be available on your computer someplace. Not a good idea to depend on a cell phone alone for contacts, which can be lost or stolen or damaged by accident.

  • Recovering contacts from encrypted back up

I stupidly managed to lose my iPhone; luckily I have it insured and a back up on my PC so it’s not too big a deal.
Until I get my replacement iPhone through is there a way I can view the encrypted back I have on my PC so I can get all my contacts from it?

Contacts should be available on your computer with or without an iPhone or any cell phone which can be lost or stolen, fail due to a hardware problem, or be damaged beyond repair or for access due to accidental damage.
When you get your iPhone replacement, the iPhone is designed to sync contacts with a supported address book application on your computer. With Windoze this can be with Outlook 2003, 2007, or 2010 along with syncing calendar events and notes, or with the address book application used by Outlook Express with XP and used by Windows Mail with Vista and Windows 7 called Windows Contacts for syncing contacts only.
After transferring your encrypted iPhone backup to your iPhone replacement, before the first sync with a supported address book application on your computer that is empty - doesn't include any contacts, enter one contact in the address book app on your computer. This will provide a merge prompt with the first sync for this data which you want to select. Syncing contacts with a supported address book application on your computer is selected under the Info tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes.

  • Import contacts from Address Book to Nokia Phone?

Phone stolen - thankfully contacts are in address book on Macbook Pro. Phone and computer bluetooth enabled and see each other - although phone cannot access computer - ? due to security settings?
Anyone got an idiots guide as to how I import my contacts from the computer to the new SIM?

In my /Library/PhonePlugins is a file Nokia_C7-00_2v0.phoneplugin. I can use iSync to synchronise contacts between my C7 and by 10.6.8 Macbook Pro. Unfortunately I can't recall where I got it. I also have one for an E51. I took a quick look on the Nokia site, but can't find them - you might have better luck. Or you could try this from CNET, but you may have to pay.

  • Contacts from laptop onto new phone.

    Hi,
Im new to all this and not very good with mobile phones! I had my n95 8g solen and have now got a new n86. I backed up my files from the n95 before it was stolen and was wondering if and how i could transfer my contacts from my laptop to my new phone as it seems to use a different PC suite, i dont really understand this ovi pc suite.
    Thanks in advance

It's a bit like closing the stable door after the horse has bolted (sorry) but I also use my Ovi account to backup, sync and restore my contacts, calender and notes OTA. Just to have a safety net, if you have an account you can get it to send the settings to your phone via txt and then set up a sync (I used it tonight, All my notes had gone, due to a reset and I needed a password)
I use two methods of backup, because in the past I have managed to 'kill' both laptops and phones
    Good Luck

  • Retretrieving contacts from N95 phone from my lapt...

    Hi,
My N95 phone was stolen a few weeks ago. I am using a replacement phone at the moment (Nokia 6300) while I wait to get another N95.
Is it possible to get the contacts from my laptop that I saved there from my N95 without having the phone?
They must be stored somewhere on my laptop. I have searched for any file containing some telephone numbers but I guess it must be stored in an encrypted format.
Does anyone know how I might be able to get my contacts again?
    Many Thanks

    Hi jones54
If you mean that you have backed up data with PC Suite then file can be accessed using application such as Noki if you can't restore:http://www.nokisoft.com/
