Retina display hdmi issues

When I connect my tv to my rMBP via the built in HDMI port both the retina display and the TV flash a blue screen. Nothing I have tried is working but if I use a thunderbolt to HDMI adapter I have no problems. Any suggestions?

when i use the HDMI port I get a wierd flash its' not normal like when I don't use the HDMI the screen just appears normally, but when I use HDMI it's like LIGHTENING or something i can't really explain it but it bothers me enough that I have quit using the HDMI

IPad 4 (retina display) charging issue

When trying charging my ipad 4 (retina display) whilst using it at the same time, the battery doesn't charge... It just decreases. It's plugged into the wall using original lead and my ipad is only 3 weeks old. Anyone have this issue? Or know why it's happening. It's not like I'm playing games or doing anything crazy with it, just on google and it drains.
It's really bugging me.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Flash SDK and MacBook Pro with Retina display major issues

Hello,
Apple has recently released Macbook Pro's with Retina displays.
I have tested my Flash application on the new laptop, and this is what I observe:
My Flex SDK Flash application looks blurry and strange when I try to check it out from any Macbook Pro with Retina display, while looking sharp and OK from all other machines.
On this screenshot you can sort of see the issue:

(Expand the image to the actual size, and compare the Flex SDK components with browser labels. Browser labels look crisp, Flex SDK components look a little bit blurry.)
Please fix this issue.

Flash movie in Safari in Macbook Pro Retina Display zooming issue

Hello,
On Macbook Pro Retina Display in Safari browser, zooming any flash application in browser does not work properly.
I have made a YouTube video showing the problem in action:

When I zoom in and out using two fingers pinch zooming does not go as expected - it is zooming into bits outside of the zoom area while the zooming is in the process.
Please fix the issue.

The phenomenon which you just described is absolutely not common in the late 2013 retina macbook. Even I have the same model but I have never noticed such sounds neither during normal operations nor after tilting it.
I am afraid, but it seems to be a hardware issue. Might be because the fan assembly has become loose due to which its touching the other parts.
There is also a possibility that some dirt or small piece of something might have gone inside the macbook through the air vents which may be interfering with the fan mechanism. I think so you can try to open the back cover of the macbook and see if something is interfering with the fans if your macbook is out of warranty. If its covered with Apple care, I suggest take it to Apple store and let them diagnose the issue.

Is Anyone Having MacBook Pro Retina Display Graphics Issues?

So, I'm wondering if anyone has been having issues with their new MacBook Pro w/ Retina Display graphics? I've installed all the updates and ran the diagnostics. Nothing appears to be wrong, but most of my animations or motions on the computer aren't fluent and are choppy. And at least once a day I'll run into an issue like this: http://d.pr/i/elqX
Just wondering if any of you are running into this issue. It also struggles with Flash (but I assume that is just something Adobe has to update on their end).

Think you maybe right, having looked on the Nvidia site lots of people are having major problems with the 6xx range and even the 5xx range seems like Nvidia's driver is missing something ? I know these are PC based problems but the OSX driver is still based on the same driver.

Ps. I forgot the Nvidia driver is Optimus based...............don't get me started on how bad Optimus does not work, have a look over at the Nvidia forum Optimus section.

Macbook Pro w/ Retina Display, screen issue since most recent update.

I had the software update downloaded on my Macbook Pro with Retina display for awhile, and finally got around to installing it. Once I installed it my screen had a little twitch where my screen would look normal but the top of the screen the finder bar, with the wifi icon, battery icon, spotlight icon would also appear on the bottom of the screen yet everything above it appeared normal. I reinstalled os x lion and it was fixed but their are now little black horizontal lines all across my screen, the resolution is fine enough to use but I'm wondering why these lines appear. The lines sometimes go away, also sometimes when I open my laptop my screen has a ultraviolet greenish, purple tint to it that goes away after awhile of sitting. I've determined that my screen is an LG screen and I know they have issues. I was wondering if anyone had the same issues to this and possibly a fix? The laptop was purchased July/2012.

Is anybody else having this problem with retina display macbooks? It seems that the canvas at 100% is displaying more as if it were at 66.7%
It is very small, the type in the screenshot is at 12pt, at 200% everything is blurry. the Canvas in the screenshot is 1440 x 900 px 72 DPI

Your screenshot does not show anything too small, in my opinion.
The white background in your screenshot measures 1402 x 902 pixels. If the canvas definitely is 1400 x 900 then there seems to be a display error of 2 pixels vertically and horizontally.
At 72 ppi, 1 point = 1 pixel. The caps and numerals in the type are 12 pixels tall, therefore 12 points tall, which is unusually large for 12 point type because it leaves no space for descenders.

Macbook Pro Retina Display hdmi sound out.

Hi everyone,
Does the MBP Retina have hdmi/sound out?
When I connected it to my HDTV the image was ok, but there wasn't any sound on my sound system. The only sound was through the mac's speaker's.
Is there any way to solve this problem?

Go into the Sound Option in Sys Prefs and select the HDMI as the output source.

2013 Macbook Pro 15" Retina Display Trackpad issues

Hello everyone, ive been googling everywere to fix this problem, but everytime i plug in my iPhone or my iPad or leave my mac alone for a couple minutes and come back (no screensaver or anything) the touch pad doesnt respond unless i keep tapping it rapidly...when i searched on google for this issues, its all for the mid-2012 models...I checked in >>About Mac and it says "Early 2013 Macbook Pro Retina 15" I bought this computer brandnew from apple last week and its in PERFECT CONDITION and no drops or falls. This issue is very annoying since I'm a developer and always plugging in my devices to my Macbook...any ideas or same issues?

Retina macbook HDMI issues...

Ive recently bought a retina macbook and its an outstanding piece of kit. Unfortunately I've come accross a little glitch with the HDMI port If i plug in my TV via hdmi, the connection temporarily cuts when I move the machine arround . Im just wondering if its something that is a normal glitch of the retina macbook or something I should look to get fixed? To behonest, Im quite relucatant to go through the hassle of taking it to a macstore but it is slightly annoying to have such a glitch on an otherwise perfect machine.
Ill try and find another HDMI cable and see if anything changes - but the guy over at macrumours said that it didnt make any difference for him.

This happened to me the other day, with an LG TV. Although it's not en eegent solution, I found that unplugging the HDMI, turning the sound up on the laptop, then plugging it in again worked. Until Apple releases a fix for the OS, that's the only thing I've found to work.

New retina display hdmi out not working

I have been connecting my new mbp to my tv for weeks and have not had any problems. Yesterday, I went to connect it through my hdmi and my computer is no longer recognizing that my tv is connected. It switches modes and configures my desktop like I have the external hooked up (I can drag things off my laptop display) but it is not sending a signal to the tv. I have switched out cables, tried a different TV and searched online. Why is this all of a sudden happening after weeks of normal function? Is it related to a software update?? very frustrated...

Some users have reported (in these forums and elsewhere) that they had a problem after installing 10.8.2, but that problem caused both the internal and external screens to go black.
I regret to say I do not recall reading about anybody else with quite your problem.

Macbook Pro 15-inch (Retina Display) HDMI doesn't output audio to TV

My rMBP's HDMI port doesn't output audio through the HDMI cable to my TV. Instead, the audio plays on the laptop's speakers. I know the problem is not the HDMI cable nor the TV because my TV speakers play sound when I connect my Windows laptop via the same HDMI cable and TV jack.
Anybody know a fix?

I have this exact same problem, I have gone to preferences, ans selected the output as HDMI and nothing happened. Later I went to Utilities, Audio MIDI Setup and tried to select different options to get the sound working and nothing, the volume for the HDMI was grey, disactivated, all the time. Any new findings lately? I have my computer fully updated.

MacBook Pro (retina display) power issues

why wouldn't my mac turn on when I open it, I have to keep pressing the power button for 5 min before it turns on? even though I only left it to sleep and when it finally turns on it restarts again...i just bought it 5 months back and its brand new...any suggestions??

If a SMC reset does not help, make an appointment at an Apple store genius bar. Your MBP is still under warranty.

Check out the article below to troubleshoot issues with no video when extending the desktop. Try resetting the NVRAM to change the resolution of the display back to its defaults and may show up again.
