Retina//Does Apple upgrades SSD if i pay for it?

The title speaks for itself as i want to learn weather they upgrade the ssd if i pay its price?
I also would love to learn about ram also but i dont think they do it as it is soldered to the mb.
Maybe they upgrade ssd because it is an easy process and i can do it with the owc one.
i just want to learn if Apple does it and the cost if they do.

Only At Purchase TIME. After you have configured the computer and ordered it there are NO upgrades that can be done. Even though is has a removeable bottom Apple deems the Retina as Non Upgradeable.
Now we will here from someone stating the OWC sells a SSD to upgrade the Retina models. And that is True but in doing so you will VOID ALL Apple Waranties on the system. So basically it is NOT upgradeable.

After I upgraded to Mavericks I was also having this message when I tried to update. There was a previous post about this problem which offered this simple solution which worked for me:

Got it! Thanx. What I did was go to my account, check that they had my new ID and Password which they did, then hit reset button. All fixed.

Unfortunately it doesn't do that with the current operating system. However I understand that this may be a possibility with the next OS (mountain lion).
It can however do presentations from an iPad, which it is very good at.

The only card reader that works for the iPad is the camera connection kit that can be used to transfer photos and videos from SD cards to your iPad. (there is no support for exporting any files or importing anything other than photos and videos)

Now is a great time to consider the cost of shipping a 65lb (or more) item all across the country Vs the cost of selling your old Mac and buying a new one when you get there.
The 2009 and later models Geekbench at nearly twice the speeds of the 2008 and previous (at same number of processor and nominal speeds). This is mainly due to Muti-Threading and memory improvements. The memory for the newer models is MUCH cheaper if you need to add on.
I suggest you cost out the shipping, then ask then for that amount toward a system upgrade when you arrive. Or check carefully whether you need to provide documentation of actual shipping or whether estimates will do.

I'm considering a new computer (either a new i7 iMac or the MacPro desktop) and was wondering if there is a used market within this community or if Apple has a trade-in program for older iMac's.
