Retired devices and bundle status

Hi all!
I might missunderstad the documentation, but as I read it a device that is retired should loose it's bundle and policy association. According to documentation "As a result, all inventory information is retained and is assessable but all policy and bundle assignments are removed".
When I check the bundle status many of my retired devices is listed under pending, event with bundles created after the device got retired.
Any suggestions?
Best regards
Lennart Johansson

  • Bluetooth PeerFinder.AlternateIdentities keys for unpaired devices and check status

    Hi,
    I am developing a Bluetooth printing application. In which I want to find and pair device in the application itself.
     PeerFinder.AlternateIdentities["Bluetooth:PAIRED"] = "";
    To find the paired devices, but in a scenario when device is not paired then I am not able to find any new devices in peerfinder. Is there
    any way to get a list of unpaired devices along with the paired devices and pair with them if they are not paired.
    Also, I want to check the status of Bluetooth devices-
    1. Is it currently on or off?
    2. Is it currently connected?
    - Thanks and regards

  • SCOM Network device and port status alert

    My network team has requested to receive an alert when a port on a network device such as a switch or a router goes down,whether it’s operational down or administrative down. At the same time they wish to know when this network device goes down entirely.
    When setting up both of these alerts, One does not take prescednce over the other. Therefore, the team gets alerted when the network device goes down plus all of the ports being monitored on that network device. Is there a way to build logic into these monitors,
    where if a network device such as a router or switch goes down the monitor which is monitoring the ports will get suppressed or overridden?

    You can define anything that you u need to contribute to the overall monitoring of the health.
    What is needed is to create the aggregated monitor first before building whatever you require

  • "Bundle Status" and "Acknowledge All Messages" = Problems

    Server: ZCM10.3.4 (was and before). sles10_64
    - From the SLED11 (FF) open server
    https://zcmserver
    - go to the
    /Bundles/MyBundles/
    - This folder i see list bundles with columns:
    "Status" "Name" "Type" "Category" "Enabled" "Version"
    - For Bundle "Copy of Create_D_INSTALLZCM" i see:
    "Bundle Status" != Normal
    - Ok.. Open this Bundle and see:
    "Number of errors not acknowledged:" = 3
    and in the "Message Log" (after press REFRESH) i see this error messages...
    This is OK.
    - At the LEFT ("Bundle Tasks") i see Button: "Acknowledge All Messages".
    - Press to this "Acknowledge All Messages"
    After this:
    "Number of errors not acknowledged:" = 0 and this is OK.
    - Back to the "/Bundles/MyBundles/" and i see AGAIN:
    "Bundle Status" != Normal
    Logout | Login. Reboot ZCM server... do not resolver this problem... again and again:
    "Bundle Status" != Normal
    If not to press the button "Acknowledge All Messages" And to open each message, in each message to mark
    "Acknowledge" and "Delete" and after that to press "Next Message" - All will BE OK(Without an error which has described above).
    Why button "Acknowledge All Messages" works incorrectly?
    How to correct?

    You have two issues here. See:
    http://www.novell.com/documentation/...a/bay7wv7.html
    Acknowledge is not the same as "Delete"
    The other is that the "status" you see on the Bundle is not always updated correctly.

    Hello,
    Encountering the same issue here: my impression is that the default port 80 is not in use, but during installation a different port is setup for connecting with the content-repo. Excuses, but my knowledge ends here. I haven't found out yet how to check, edit, restore the used port.
    Anyone a clue for us?
    Much appreciated,
    Sleegemi

  • MSI will not install; Bundle status is "Downloaded"

    Have been receiving numerous "Error impersonating configured user." messages.
    I changed the bundle to "Run as secure system user (don't allow system to interact with desktop)" and changed the "Install MSI" action's "Install Parameters:" to from /i to /im. ("Install MSI" is the only action.)
    I then incremented the version number. "Install Options" are set to "Install always".
    The bundle status in the ZENworks Adaptive Agent is shown as "Downloaded" and the .MSI does not run.
    The clients PC's use Windows 7.

    A reinstall will be attempted if the verstion number is changed:

    If the version of the Install action set is different from the version of

    If you have not already, I would shut down (power off) your computer.  Do this to Reset your shuffle

    Start up computer.  Run iTunes.  Connect shuffle.
    If you have added a new USB device recently (since the last time it worked properly), you may want to try disconnecting it to see if that makes any difference.

    Reinstalling Lion Without the Installer
    Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alterhatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
    Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
    When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list.  In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive.  If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu.
    Reinstall Lion: Select Reinstall Lion and click on the Continue button.
    Note: You can also re-download the Lion installer by opening the App Store application. Hold down the OPTION key and click on the Purchases icon in the toolbar. You should now see an active Install button to the right of your Lion purchase entry. There are situations in which this will not work. For example, if you are already booted into the Lion you originally purchased with your Apple ID or if an instance of the Lion installer is located anywhere on your computer.

    Hi Tarun 49,
    If you are having issues with your iPhone such as you describe, you may want to try some things to troubleshoot.
    First, quit all running applications and test again -
    iOS: Force an app to close
    Next, I would try restarting the iPhone -
    Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset
    If the issue is still present, you may want to restore the iPhone as a new device -

    Saw this solution on another post about an iPad in a school enviroment. Might work on your iPad so you won't lose everything.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    ‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
    Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
    I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
    Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
    1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
    2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
    3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
    4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
    5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
    6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
    7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
    8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just cancelling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
    If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.
    Try it and good luck. You have nothing more to lose if it doesn't work for you.
     Cheers, Tom
    Not what you want to hear, I know, but this is a user to user forum. No one here has the power to help you.
    You can get information about an order you placed on the Apple Online Store through the Order Status page. If you prefer, you can also get order status or make changes by phone at 1-800-692-7753.
    You can try calling again and if the person you speak to can't help, ask to speak to a supervisor.
  • Device returned unexpected status "CertificateRejected".
    Hi all,
    I’ve recently jumped headfirst into deploying iPads with Apple Configurator (just a class set of 20 at this stage).  I think I've figured most of it out, but am having trouble with errors when restoring from a backup while checking devices back in.  I've seen two errors so far, "Unable to send ClearPasscode command to device" and "Unable to check profiles".  Both are accompanied by the description:
    Device returned unexpected status "CertificateRejected".
    Code 5
    Domain com.apple.configurator.error
    It seems the check-in errors occur on all devices except the one from which the backup was made.  iPad 1, from which the backup was made, is the only device which will successfully check back in.  Again, these errors only occur when I have devices set to Restore from a backup in the Supervise screen (meaning that they restore from a backup while checking back in).
    If I set all devices to “Don’t restore backup” then they all successfully check back in.  But obviously this is not desirable as documents, etc. are left on the devices after check in (which is fine if you’re then checking out to another user who has already checked a device in and out, but if you are checking out to a brand new user, they end up with documents and settings from the last user of that device).
    Following advice from another forum I've looked in Keychain Access and set the Apple Configurator root certificate to "Always Trust".  It was previously set to "Use System Defaults" which resulted in the red text "This root certificate is not trusted".
    I’ve also tried a fresh install on Apple Configurator on a fresh user account, repaired permissions, but still the error occurs.  I prepared an iPad with no profiles, no apps, backed that up and restored it onto a second iPad using the prepare tab.  Then refreshed them both using that backup as the restore option.  Checked them out, checked them in, and they all fail with errors except for the iPad from which the backup was made.
    Any ideas what I’m doing wrong?
    Cheers,
    Ben
    Configurator is terrible for backups (and in general.)
    I just create a backup in iTunes and then restore that backup through iTunes to the iPads (and use Configurator for everything else.) The only problem with this method is you have to do them 1 by 1 (start one off, wait for it to reboot, when it lets you start another off, etc.) iTunes doesn't support simultaneous restores or backup restores.
    You might run into other glitches after this method, but I've found it to be the most effective, with 100% success restoring a backup. Give it a go and see how it works for you, if you have the time to sit there while 20 iPads restore.
  • How to get a list of admins and their status?
    I´m tryingo to get a list of key members for groups, their names, logins and their status (enabled or disabled)
    I have 2 queries:
    Get-ADUser -id USERNAME  -properties * | ft name,enabled
    and
    Get-ADGroupMember 'administrators' | ft name,SamAccountName
    It woul be nice, if the second example could include a third column, showing  the enabled/disabled status for the account
    I can use DS tools too, i´ve started using PS beucase in my thinking is more powerfull
    Okay, that can be done:
    $groupName = 'Domain Admins'
    Get-ADGroupMember $groupName | ForEach {
    $userDetails = Get-ADUser $_.SamAccountName
    $props = @{
    SamAccountName = $userDetails.SamAccountName
    Name = $userDetails.Name
    Enabled = $userDetails.Enabled
    New-Object PsObject -Property $props
    } | Sort Enabled | Format-Table -AutoSize
