  • BPS- PS Retraction Problems

    Hi,
Am using standard FMs UPR_COST_PLAN_INIT and UPR_COST_PLAN_EXEC to retract Primary Cost plan data back to Project Systems.
I have set up a sender structure called UPB_SND_COPS, pointing to receiver structure UPB_RET_COPS.  I have two lines in the dictionary structure section: /1SEM/_YS_KYFS_005ZARMPP03 and /1SEM/_YS_CHAS_005ZARMPP03 which relate to my planning area.
QUESTION 1 - do I need to put anything in the offset, field length, field value fields?
I have set up the transfer rules in transaction UPB_RULE.  This is where I have the problem.  I set up the transfers and ran the retraction and nothing was posted to R/3.  When debugging I saw that all of the fields I had set up rules for were blank when sent to R/3.
If I go back and, instead of transfering from the sender to receiver structure, I hard code a value for all the fields in UPB_RULE, then it creates records in R/3.
    Has anyone encountered this problem?
Does anyone have any decent documentation on this retractor?
    Thanks,
    Tristan

    Hi ,
I need to retract data from BW-BPS 7.1 to SRM.I am new to BW
    (3 months experience)
Can anyone send me documentation , links or steps by steps guide to explain how
    to do the link please?
If there are no standard retractors, what is the solution?
This a challenging task for me and I really need to do it at work (there will be
an evaluation at the end of this work).
Thanks in advance for your help.
I'll surely assign points if one can help me.

  • BW Sales Budget retraction to SAP R/3

    Hi ,
I need some help in Data Retraction from BW to SAP 6.0.
I am able to to get data from BW 7.0 to SAP 6.0, the data is a SALES BUDGET.
I am running the Transaction code KELR.
The Problem tha i am facing is with the Charactreristics  "PRCTR"  Profit Centre.
When data is retracted the Profit Centre get derived from the Material  Master, but i  do not want this profit centre to get derived, where as  I need the Profit centre which is have mentioned in the User Exit.
I am using the user exit   "ZXKEXU01"  and following is the code return in it "
    CASE ERKRS.
      WHEN '1000'.
        L_T_CE0 = T_CE0[].       "T_CE0 contains CO-PA line items
        CLEAR T_CE0.
REFRESH T_CE0.           "T_QUERY_DATA contains query data
        LOOP AT T_QUERY_DATA INTO WA_E_QUERY_DATA.
          L_INTEGER = L_INTEGER + 1.
           TI_LE_CHAR = WA_E_QUERY_DATA-TI_LE_CHAR[].
          TI_LE_KYF = WA_E_QUERY_DATA-TI_LE_KYF[].
          READ TABLE L_T_CE0 INTO L_WA_CE0 INDEX L_INTEGER.
           LOOP AT TI_LE_CHAR INTO WA_E_LE_CHAR WHERE IOBJNM = '0PROFIT_CTR'.
          ENDLOOP.
          IF SY-SUBRC = 0.
            L_WA_CE0-PRCTR = 'DO1301'.
          ENDIF.
          APPEND L_WA_CE0 TO T_CE0.
        ENDLOOP.
    ENDCASE.
I need the "DO1301"  vale to get saved for Profit centre SAP R/3 in the KEPM area.
I have disabled all the derivation for Profit cetre in t-code KEDR.
When i Try to Enter data manually through the KEPM  data entry , the system is acception the profir centre that i have entered, and it does not derive it through the Material Master for the Material Entered.
Where as when i try to retract the sales budget from the BW to SAP R/3 the system is deriving from the Material Master, and ingnores the User EXIT return.
Please suggest some solution for the above problem.
    Regards
    Nilesh Labde

    Hi Panda,
    Thanks for your reply.
    1) The User Exit is written in SAP R/3, It is the standard User exit delivery by SAP for COPA Retractiion.
It get's fire when i run the retraction through t-code KELR.
This trasaction call the BW query ,  to fetch data from BW.
    2) I have not written any custome retraction, this is done through satandard SAP program.
Please let me know if this clear's your doubt

  • Zero values not taken into account during retraction

    Hello,
we are having an issue with data retraction.
When we reset a value to zero, the change in the value is not taken into account and the corresponding value in R/3 remains unchanged.
There are some posts that say that the function modules UPR_COST_PLAN_EXEC and UPR_COST_PLAN_INIT should be modified in order to populate <xth_data> with zero values, but debug mode shows that the data are read before calling these functions, and the zero values are
    already ignored at this stage.
    Could anyone help me, please?
    Thank you in advance!

Here is the second method  -
    Regarding your issue:
Retraction is based on the records of the SEM buffer. Zero records are
in general filtered in the buffer, so that they cannot be considered forplanning functions that execute the retraction. I regret but this is
the normal system behaviour in the standard. As workaround, please use adummy key figure that is set to a value <> 0.
The only way is a work around. If you fill a dummy key figure with an
arbitrary value, the frame work recognizes this as not 0, even if the
proper key figure is 0. In that case the 0 retraction would work. So if
not existing, create an additional dummy key figure to the cube and workon as described.
For all the of retractions (CO-OM, IM, PS) BPS planning functions are
used and they run in the general BPS framework. This framework is
designed to explicitly not process zero records because of performance
    reasons.
If zero records would be processed, planning functions would run longer
but they can't deal with those records anyway. Therefore the developmentdecided on the current design, to delete all zero records first, before
processing them with a planning function. This decision has been
discussed several times before and it not likely to be changed.
Regarding SAP note you can check the work aroud I explained can be foundin the oss note 768822 SEM-BPS: Retraction of WBS element w/ Pushback.
I hope this explains the reason.
Please kindly confirm the message if your issue is answered.
Thanks for your support and cooperation.

  • Retraction problem, key figure mapping

    Hello guys:
I am using the retraction function to retract activity data from BPS to R/3.
I have created the sender structure and now I am creating the mapping rules.
For the characteristics, there is no problem, but for the key figures, if I input a field name in the Sender FLd column, then I must enter a value in the "Sender fld val" column, could you tell me what is the use of this column?
I also click the "create proposal for value", it fill the key figure field name in the formula column, but when I run a check, the proposed rules is wrong.
    Thank you very much.
    Best regards,
    Eric

    Hi Eric
You can maintain the parameters of retraction with transaction UBP_STRUCT
Chck this doc for details on tables to maintain

  • "Error occurred in deployment step 'Retract Solution': The solution does not have a WSP file associated with it." occurs while deploying from Visual studio

    HI,
I get this error "Error occurred in deployment step 'Retract Solution': The solution does not have a WSP file associated with it. " when deploying my project from visual studio 2010 to
SharePoint 2010 site. I tried restarting IIS, but it didn't help. This application used to work fine until the server crashed during the deployment process. All the other applications on the same server works fine also. Any ideas how to fix this issue?
    Thanks in advance,
    AM

    Hi
    AM ,
    Thank you for your posting!
According to your error message, it says your solution does not have a WSP file associated with it. Take a look at the file system.  After you Right Click -> Deploy Solution on the VS Solution, there
should be a .wsp file at <Solution Directory>\bin\<debug|release>.
Also the error can be occurring when the developer try to deploy solutions over pre-existing solutions  with material changed  in the solution.  Go to your Central Administration Site and then
Operations and then Solution Management.  Make sure that there not already a solution with the same name deployed or installed there.  If there is, remove it and try deploying again.
And you could look in logs and find if there is a below error in ULS log (C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\14\LOGS).
Thank you for your understanding and support.

  • Error while retracting the data from BW system

while retracting the data from BW we are getting the below dump
"Inconsistent entry in table TKA07 (Plan Version Maintenance)",Request you to please help to solve the issue

    Jyoti,
Could you please explain in detail, were you using any standard retractor or custom?
is it erroring out in ECC system or BI?

  • Why is it (and how is it possible) that you guys don't have any retractable magsafe power cords (or at least an accessory that would turn normal magsafe chargers into a retractable unit)? (Or do you?)

Way, way back it was cool that you could wrap the smaller cord around those retractable clips.  However, even that has grown annoying.
For those of us who use the longer attachment (for which there isn't even a wrapping solution) dealing with the cords is time consuming (and basically impossible to do in such a way that it can withstand any real traveling).
At least one of the reasons there is no retractable cord option is that other companies can't design one themselves without violating your intellectual property rights.  That said, Apple should really be the ones to tackle this particular cord-annoyance (all the groundwork for the design has already been done for you guys--all you'd have to do is tweak it to fit the specifics of your magsafe cords, and *voila*, fantastically manageable, clean, well-designed, and highly portable power cord for us all.
Suddenly: champagne would fall from the heavens, doors would open, velvet ropes would part, world peace, end to hunger....you get the idea.
It seems like this is the only place to give suggestions for things such as this...am I missing something?

    Welcome Jessie!
Here's how to get your comment to someone working in Apple product development:
    http://www.apple.com/feedback/macbookpro.html
That said, Apple shipped retractable cord chargers in the early PowerBook days. From talking to people who owned them, I get the impression that the constant in/out action caused many to fail prematurely. I suspect Apple abandoned them for a reason.

  • Creation Purchase Orders in ECC (retraction) triggered from IP

Hi, my client (wholesaler) is implementing Integrated Planning for its Demand planning. Based on e.g.
    - Sales History
    - Product Information (e.g. products in stock and products on order)
it will determine the planned amount of materials that need to be purchased for a certain period. Once this is done, the user should be able to trigger (via a button on the IP screen) the creation of the relevant purchase orders in R/3 Materials Management. I came accross some examples of retraction of data from BPS/IP to R/3, mostly in the financial area.
Is it possible to do the above retraction? Has anyone encountered the same requirement i.e. automatic creation of (purchase) orders in R/3 triggered from IP or BPS for that matter? If so, how did you go about it? What was involved from a technical and functional point of view?
    Thanks!
    Pandaa

    Hi.
There is no standard retraction to MM module (PO creation).
Very generally, you can write RFC function in ECC that uses BAPI to create PO, pass neded data from FOX to some function that will call RFC function and call the function within IP/WAD screen.
    Regards.

  • Retraction of MM and SD data for planning use in R/3

    Hello
Is it possible to retract Material management data and sales and distribution data to R/3  ?
Do we have any slandered method to retract the data ?
I do not have any experience in retraction , so please help me with steps , how to create custom retractor if std is not available to support above retraction .
    Regards

    Hi Jain,
A retractor is an SAP NetWeaver BI process to extract data and load it into SAP ERP (and R/3). Standard retractors are available for Profitability Analysis (CO-PA), Budget Control System (BCS), Cost Center Accounting (CCA), and Project Planning and Investment Management (PS/IM).
In the development of planning solutions, you often need to send planned or calculated data to SAP ERP. The target for this data may be SAP standard tables or custom tables. SAP provides some standard retractors, but does not provide a framework to retract data outside of these areas to your SAP ERP or R/3 system.
As of now SAP dosent have standard retractors in BI for SD and MM data.
As said you can use the Open Hub Destination for the same.
    Cheers,
    Tanish.

  • BPS retraction RFC destination conversion

    Hello everybody,
I m surprised not having met a discussion about RFC destination conversion between systems for BPS retraction?
What is the common recommendation for BPS retraction to have your customizing adapted and to retract to your QUAL R/3 from your QUAL BPS system without having to replicate your customizing with hard coded RFC destination to allow every BPS system to retract to any R/3 system !! Why this does not read the RFC conversion table from BW, probably too easy ?
If you have feed back on this point I would really appreciate , many thanks .
    Laurent Allais

    Hello Laurent,
I agree, it would be nice if the system would convert the RFC destinations. The functionality is just not there. You can use a single RFC destination for all systems and just have a different server that it is pointing to in SM59.
Or you just make a change in BPS0 after the transport.  It's quite common for plan administrators to have access to BPS0.

  • BPS Retraction for Cost Center Accounting - Cost Element - Compounding with

    Hello everybody,
I'm using the "BPS Retraction for Cost Center Accounting" described in the blog from Praveen Mayalur. I have customized the BPS system  (3.5) as described.
But if i started the retraction i receive a dump. I have debug a little bit and i found out that there is a problem with the InfoObject "Cost Element". It is compounding with two InfoObjects "Source system ID" and "Controlling area".
    PERFORM FILL_RSRDEP USING I_AREA
                              I_CHANM
                              ITO_CHADEP
                        CHANGING LT_RSRDEP

    IF L_SUBRC NE 0.
*Abhängige Merkmale müssen in der ITO_CHADEP stehen
      MESSAGE X099(UPC).
    ENDIF.
Does anybody have this problem before. ?
    Regards Detlev

    Hi,
it looks that your 0COSTELEMNT has been changed and the additional compounding object 0SOURSYSTEM has bben added. In BI Content it is only compounded to 0CO_AREA. So may be this is the problem.
To be sure that it works you must make the change in your source system to and "compound" 0COSTCENTER to 0SOURSYSTEM. Or you have to chabge the retraction that way that it ignores the source system and only reads 0CO_AREA and costcenter.

  • Retraction between BW (BPS) - R/3 (EA-PS)

    Hi all,
I’m trying to do retraction between BW -> R/3 systems. I define field assignments for every BW objects defined as filter and it works fine if ‘FM Area’, ‘Version’ and ‘Fiscal Year’ correspond to the value entered on the selection screen. But the system does not transfer any records for plan data if ‘FM Area’, ‘Version’ and ‘Fiscal Year’ do not correspond whit the values that were entered on the selection screen (Example: FISC_YEAR (FM Field) = 2007 and 0FISCYEAR (BW object) = 2006.
I already implement 632641 SAP Note, but nothing change. How can I transfer plan data of a specific year in BW to a different year (next year) in R/3 Budget Control System (BCS)?
    Thanks in advance
    Ilda

    Hello Sundar,
you can't really compare the two. BPS complements IM and does not replace it. Please check the following two links.

  • BPS Retraction for PS Master Data

    Hi,
We want to use BPS and be able to create PS Master data (project IDs) in BPS. But at the same time, we want to be able to retract the new master data created in BPS. How can we reconcile the master data created in BPS with the one created in R/3? When the data is sent to R/3, is there a data integrity check? How can we complete the master data in R/3 knowing that only 2 or 3 fields are posted in BPS.
Any advice or inputs would be greately appreciated.
