Retraction "Wait for Update" Setting

Trying to find out what 'wait for update' option does?
This is a setting for a cca primary cost retraction in the parameter group.
Also, have a customer who says that retraction dropped a cost element?  Any comments?
Thanks
Tim

It appears that the call is getting hung up  on the following url:

Does anyone know anything about this?
Thank you

I updated my ipod touch, then a while later it said waiting for update then shut off. then started turning on and off, what do i do ?

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • UWL - Waiting for update message

    Hi,
Can someone explain me what's the reason that UWL shows a 'Waiting for update' info message on top when opening UWL ? Until we press refresh-button the uwl seems to reload every 15 seconds. If we press Refresh button the 'waiting for update' message disappears ...
What does the message mean ? For which update is the system waiting ? Why does it show up every time the UWL is called ?
    Regards,
    Igor

When the UWL first appears it shows any entries in the UWL cache.  The waiting for update appears whilst it is trying to connect and retrieve items from the backend systems.
As default it should then reload every 5 minutes.. unless someone has changed the configuration on your system.

  • UWL - waiting for update

    Hi All,
How we can eliminate that message ? When we refresh it  the new item is appearing in Tasks .
Can we make it as auto refresh ? So that the waiting for update message can be eliminated and the new task can be seen when the user logins in .
If we leave the screen for around 15 seconds , then also it is automatically going to tasks , where we can change the UWL refreshing automatic time ?
    Thanks,
    surya

    Hi Surya,
First of all talking about having the latest tasks as soon as a user logs in Portal, as per my understanding, this is not possible. There will be some time delay always (as per the default/custom configurations).
Secondly, regarding changing the UWL automatic refresh time, please try the options below:
    1) Change the Delta Pull Channel Refresh Period. For doing this, go to System Administration -> System Configuration -> Universal Worklist & Workflow->Universal Worklist Administration. Select the appropriate system and click on Edit button. Now change the time in Delta Pull Channel Refresh Period (in Seconds) as per your requirement.
    For more details, see:
Universal Worklist refresh delay - Reduce default time
    2) In your Universal Worklist page, expand the menu on the top right hand corner (from where you refresh the tasks) and select Personalize View. Now under Data Properties, change the value under Page Refresh Rate.
I hope you are able to solve your problem to some extent.
    Bye
    Ankur

  • I updated to ios 7 and now the battery does not stop charging any ideas, or have to wait for update? thanks

i updated to ios 7 and now the battery does not stop charging any ideas, or have to wait for update? thanks

To show the battery percentage used go to settings
from there click general scroll to usage and select
scroll to bottom of page for battery usage select on.
This will show the icon battery and the percent numbers on the top right.
When phone is connected to an outlet sometimes it does not always show complete charge. I do not understand why but it is what it is.
FYI I sent reply to you not to deggie. You can have your own satisfaction to reply direct.

  • EPMA 11.1.2 Essbase Hangs at status waiting for Update

I know that in 11.1.1.3 there were issues deploying an essbase cube from EPMA, 11.1.2 however claims to be able to do this, but I am having a problem getting the cube deployed.
I am on 64-Bit Windows 2008, all hyperion products are version 11.1.2 with SQL backend.
I can validate a simple cube just fine from EPMA.
I can create cubes in EAS.
I however cannot deploy a simple cube from EPMA. I have checked all conditions on permissions and followed the guidelines.
The essbase application is registering to Shared Services (thus I can make sure the permissions are Provisioned).
The system gets stuck at "Waiting for Status Update..." it will remain at that level (50%) without ever updating. I have changed the awproperties file to time out after 45 minutes. I am not seeing any errors recorded in any of the logs to indicate what problem is going on.
I need some suggestions as to where to look to force some form of error logs that will give me some clue to the next errors I need to deal with. Or some advice from anyone that has experienced this issue. This is an essbase cube not a planning application. I have EPMA HFM Applications, as well as FCM, FDM deployed on the same foundation without issue.
The only issue I can find close to this is a Planning deploy with problems about JVM size but nothing about Essbase application JVMs.
    Any ideas?

Is this an essbase only application? It seems like the property is defaulting to stored and then flipping the initial stored member to shared because Essbase isn't interpreting the deployment correctly. I would try using ShareData as the datastorage property (I think that is the correct spelling). Also, I believe the correct way to set IsPrimary is Y/N and not 0/1.
If that did not work I would try the following in this order:
1 - I would first extract the dimension in question using the file generator and confirm that the properties are indeed correct.
2 - If they were correct. I would toggle the dimension from shared->local->shared. EPMA is still a little nutty and this will fix a fair amount of issues as it will 'refresh' the application's version of the dimension. I would then deploy
3 - deploy from EPMA->Planning only (no essbase creation), then deploy to essbase separately after ensuring the property represents itself in planning. If it is essbase only - create the outlnie instead of refresh.
4 - create a duplicate app in EPMA and deploy the copy of the app - and see if it has the same problem
Try that and see how it goes.

  • Do I need to wait for update?

A friend of mine gave me this iPad 2 long time ago and it is a iOS 4. I barely use the iPad. So today I wanted to install games such as pvz2 but it said it need iOS 5 or more. When I went to my MacBook to update it. And I click "check for updates" all it say is "This model is iOS 4" I kept on clicking it but when I read the word below it. It say iTunes will check for updates in 12/12/2013 so I did in the next day but it also say the same thing as previous day and it say iTunes will check for updates in 19/12/2013. And the problem is should I wait?

    this is what it say

  • Should I buy an Imac now or wait for update late 2014

I'm thinking of getting an Imac 27" (i7 , 8ram, 3tb fusion drive and 780 gcard) "fully loaded"
Il be using it for FCX and some photoshop. Burning blu rays
Beginner editing, (home movies,) and plan on taking some classes in future and do bigger editing projects.
should I pull the trigger and buy this imac, or wait for the update in mid to late 2014???
Thanks ahead of time to anyone taking the time to responding :)

if you need a new one now, get one.  If you can wait, then wait.  No matter what, it will be soon "outdated" anyway.  Also, no one knows when a new mac will be released until apple say so.  anything else is speculation.

    Friends,

I tried every possible ways and read all related items and followed precisely articel http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1212 but after i restored and update teh iPad, itunes keeps giveing me the same message:
The iPad "iPad" cannot be restored at this time because the iPad software update server could not becontacted or is temporarily unavailable.
I tired at different time of teh day and noght and different days yet kept getting the same message.

If reset doesn't work, try and force the iPad into Recovery Mode.
    Recovery Mode
    1. Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
    2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
3.While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
    4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears, release the Home button. iTunes should alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then click Restore to restore the device.
Note: Data will be lost. You may have to repeat the above many times.

  • HT1222 WHY IS MY IPOD TAKING 6 HOURS TO UPDATE?  WON'T LET ME LOAD SONGS TILL I UPDATE TO LATEST VERSION, BUT I DON'T HAVE 8 HOURS TO WAIT FOR UPDATE

IPOD HASN'T BEEN UPDATED IN A WHILE.  EVERYTIME I HOOK TO COMPUTER, IT WANTS TO UPDATE BUT IT TAKES LIKE 6 HOURS.  I CAN'T WAIT THAT LONG, BUT IT WON'T LET MY ADD ANY SONGS TO MY IPOD TILL I UPDATE.  WHAT COULD BE WRONG?

    Not sure if this helps:-
The music files, were they bought from your iTunes account or did someone gift them to you after buying from the iTunes account? If they are yours you can download them again if you clear or de-authorise the ipod, it has to be done by whoever gave you the ipod to do this (the registered  owner). If they were bought for you on another itunes account I don't think Apple let you use them as they are copyrighted and they don't belong to you, they belong to the person who bought them. If the music files where ripped from music cd's then click and drag them to a new folder on your desktop and have the person who gave you the ipod to de-authorise and unregister it. Then you re register it and put your files back from your desktop folder in your iTunes folder and synch. Hopefully that would work.  Any files which you did not buy, I would not know how get around this, best bet is to take it to you nearest Apple  Store and explain that they were gifted to you and ask how you can use them.  The best way to gift music files is to buy the gift tokens and give these. Hope above helps.

Which device do you have? They have an article where they post firmware updates to fix this issue.

  • "Waiting For Updates"

I updated 3 of my apps. All 3 apps went to the "Waiting" mode, but they are still in the waiting mode (I think it goes "waiting", then "installing", then done). Its been days now. If I go back to update in the App icon, it just says they have all been updated. So now i CAN'T ACESS THEM AND i NEED MY CALENDAR DESPARATELY.

Reset your iPhone. To reset: press both the Home button and the on/off button at the same time and hold until the Apple logo appears (~10 seconds).

  • My ipad4 AppStore icon showing 3 update is waiting for update , but I see blank page on update page

I can't update my app , blank page on AppStore

Read this on iLounge posted by ahMEmon
Go into Settings > General > International > Language and choose British English, then hit the Done button. The screen will go black with a comment about Language Settings. Be Patient, especially if you have a lot of apps. Let it run it's course and Then open the App Store again. Voila! Upgrade list is back. And it stuck when i changed back to plain English. He doesn't know why. I don't either. But I am now a happy camper. Worked on my 3rd gen iPad and iPad Mini.
    Hope it works for you!
