RETRIEVE APP

Hi there, I have bought an app / Smart Guard from Ovi Store & it has been saved in the mass memory.
After my phone has been upgraded to PR1.1 sw. All my apps have been erased & that includes the Smart Guard.
I have no problem with "Free" apps as I can always download it again.
Question is how to go about reinstalling the app which I have bought without having to pay for it again.
I still have my receipt no & date of purchase.
Cheers mate!!!

Doesn't it appear under 'My Stuff'' ? For me the paid applications are also listed under My Stuff...If its there simply give it a go.. see if asks for payment again !!! Should not..
I did not have to do that yet.. so do not know...

  • I am going to have to restore my iTunes to a prior date, how can I retrieve apps purchased after the chosen restore date?

I appear to have "lost" many of the songs, and videos, in my iTunes.  The songs/videos show, but  when I attempt to access them, it says it can't find the file and offers to search.  In the search the song/video shows, but is greyed out.  If I restore I tunes to a prior date, how do I retrieve apps that were purchased after the chosen restore date?
    Thanks,
    Dale

Icloud is made up of many services.  you may choose to use or not use any or all of these services.  One of the many services it provides is that it allows you to redownload past purchases.
"I prefer to keep all of my information on my Mac, and a local backup drive."
As you should.  That is why, if you have lost your comtent, you should redownload that lost content from icloud to your computer and back it up, using the directions I provided to you.
"lso, I don't recall setting up a iCloud account. "
Does not matter at all. You do not need an icloud account.  Forget you ever heard the word icloud.  Perhaps if we stop using that word, you will understand.  Itunes now allows you to download your past purchases again - instead of the one download only rule that has existed orior to now.  You can download your purchases to your computer again.
You seem to be getting hung up on the word icloud, so imply forget you heard it.
Follow the direction in the link I provided to download the songs, etc that you have lost.  Once downloaded, they will once again reside on your computer where you can back them up and sync them to device as you always have.
    nothing at all changes.
    Hope this helps.

  • My iMac restored. how do I retrieve Apps allready downloaded and paid for?

iMac, processor speed 2.7GHz, memory 16 GB, capacity, 999.35 Gb
iMac bought by my son less than 2 years ago. Gifted to me after he retored iMac to factory settings. He had downloaded 2 Apps, Pages and Numbers, they are not on the machine now. I updated OS to Yosemite. Can I retrieve apps without further payment.

Legally he bought the apps. So you'll have to buy them yourself.
However, one of the new features in Yosemite is the Family Share. So he should be able to "invite" you into his Family Share plan and then you'll be able to see the purchases and download/install them. But I honestly don't know if this will work on past purchase or not. It's worth a try though.

  • How do I retrieve apps and books that were lost in recent software update for my iPad?

Is it possible to retrieve lost apps and books in recent software update?

Yes it should be possible deppending on your  version of ios on your ipad. In the app store you can go to "purchased" and download any apps you've previously purchased. I'm not sure if this will also work for books or not. Also, if you haved synced your ipad to your computer, itunes will have all your data (books, apps, music etc...) and you can load it all back up.

  • How to retrieve apps after a complete iPod reset? The "App_Store Updates Purchase" tab isn't working!

    Hey Apple Community,
I have a problem, but every problem has a story, so let me explain that first.
Let's start of by saying that I bought my 32 Gb iPod in February, 2012.
Over the course of the last 21 monts there have been about 370+ different apps on it (not all at ones of course). Of which I purchased about 26. I should also mension that my iPod hasn't been Jailbreaked at any point of time (I just don't trust it).
Yesterday, I wanted to put some new songs and video's on it. So I connected my iPod to my PC (I use windows 8). When I opened, It told me that there was a new system update (iOS 6.1.5). Because I 'was' in a good mood and had the time, I pressed "Download and Install". The updates usually take some time to install so I minimalized iTunes and opened FireFox (to check my e-mail and watch some video's). About 8 minutes later, I got a notification from Windows telling me that iTunes had crashed. At that point the update wasn't done installing. I restarted my PC (just to be sure) and opened iTunes again. It immediately openened a notification, telling me that there was a damaged iPod connected to my PC. The only option I had was to restore it, which would mean that my iPod would get reset to it's manufacture settings. You can imagine that this sounded disturbing. Fortunately it also stated that I would get the option to restore it (to the way it was before the update/crash) after the reset. This would be done using the automated back-up system of iTunes. I started the reset and didn't touch my PC nor iPod until it was finished (just to be sure). Then I used the given 'restore to old state' option (the just installed version won't chance by doing this). After finishing, I immediately noticed that all of the apps that I installed were missing. In total about 100+ apps (about 60-70+ games, 30-40+ remaining apps). However I did get my photo's back (which are now backed up), that's nice! along with my music and video's. The missing apps are reinstallable but the saves aren't. Imagion 21 monts worth of game saves gone in a flash for more then 60 games. Of the 100+ app there are about 30 that I really want back, however I am unable the recall all of the names.
So I went into the App_Store > Updates > Purchased tab. Here comes the real problem. The purchase tab doesn't load, it isn't even displaying the choice to switch from 'all' to 'not on this device'. I've tried some things to get is to work again: restart my iPod, log out and back in my iOS accant (in the app store) and a combination of the last 2 things. This didn't work however.
    My questions are:
    1) Is this problem fixable? If yes, how?
    2) If not, what would be the second best option of retrieving the missing apps?
    Thanks before hand,
    Sebgear

    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.
Apple Retail Store - Genius Bar
Also, you should be able to redownload via iTunes on the computer. See that method included here:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store

  • Retrieving apps from a previous apple ID

Is there a way to retrieve previously purchased apps through an old apple ID (I can't remember my old password and no longer have access to that email address?). My personal details (and billing details) are the same for my new account?

When you connect to another Mac you should get a prompt on iOS about 'trusting this device'. I'm unsure if that is iOS 7 only, earlier OS's paired, but I can't recall the prompt.
    http://www.the4cast.com/2013/06/ios-7-alerts-you-when-your-connect-your-device-t o-a-new-computer/
That causes the device to 'pair', which is also what the iOS device needs to allow syncing. If the device is set to open iTunes automatically it can be too easy to end up with an actual sync, which authorises your device for use with the Apple ID of the apps that get transferred.
I think you need to remove the apps & then check that device is not associated with the second Apple ID. In iTunes, sign in to the desired account in the store, select manage devices under the 'iTunes in the cloud' section of the account info page. Remove any that shouldn't be connected with that account.
The safest way to charge iOS on another device is to power off iOS & then connect it. The prompt will still happen, but there is no chance of a sync when the device is 'fully locked'. Once you enter the pin or password on iOS becomes unlocked & available for syncing data to 'paired' machines.

  • With photoshop ConnectionSDK, How to retrieve app.activeDocument as PSD file?

    Dear all,
I'm currently making an automation s/w communicating with PhotoShop via connection sdk.
Even though my primary language is C#, translating Java/iOS sample to C# works fine.
Sending/receiving image file, invoking Javascript snippet work fine as demonstrated in sdk sample.
Also, sending PSD to PhotoShop also works, so that I can send PSD file in my s/w onto PhotoShop.
My question is here, How to retrieve PSD file working in PSD via connection sdk?
Actual goal of my s/w is
    1. send predefined PSD onto PhotoShop
    2. PhotoShop user does editing with this given psd
    3. when editing is done, retrieve PSD from PhotoShop onto my s/w to process further in Asset Management system.
Any advice would be helpful for me, Thanks in advance.

Did you purchase Lion or did it come with the computer? If you purchased, look in Mac App Store (MAS) under Purchases tab. You can download again.
If you need to reinstall, you can select to Reinstall OS X while booted from the Recovery Drive.
Boot into the Recovery Drive by holding down Command R when restarting.
If you need to purchase Mac OS X 10.7 Lion, you may order it from this page.

  • HT201272 I changed my apple ID and password because my credit card was hacked. Now the apps that I purchased with the old ID cannot be updated, nor can I sync them to my new iPhone. Is there a way I can retrieve apps that I purchased?

I have a different apple ID and password and now I am unable to sync my apps to my new iPhone. How can I retrieve some of the apps that I purchased using the old ID?

Go to Settings>Store (or iTunes and Appl Store) and sign out and sign back in. If problem go to Settings>iCloud and make sure you are signed into the new iCloud account. You may have to create a new iCloud account.

  • How to retrieve Apps with datas inputted previously?

My kids accidentally deleted my bible application with all my various notes and highlights for versus.  I've reloaded the app but my contents, notes, highlights are missing? Are these datas gone for good, or could it be retrieved?

You can try restoring to your last backup and see if that copies them back to how they were when you took the backup - you will need to restore the whole iPad, you can't just doa single app.
First copy off all purchases to your computer's iTunes via File > Transfer Purchases, and also copy off any photos (copying photos) and any documents, notes etc that you've updated/created since your last backup.
Then connect your iPad to your computer, and right-click the iPad 'device' on the left-hand side of your computer's iTunes (backups and restores).
If you want to stop apps being accidentally deleted then you can turn Settings > General > Restrictions > Deleting Apps 'off'.

  • How can I retrieve Apps and Contacts (possibly photos) from deleted iPhone?

Hi everyone, my wife asked me to upload an album from her iTunes onto her iPhone 4S this morning as she is going on a long walk. However I did not realise that she has never plugged her phone into her laptop since she got it. I assumed that she had done this at least once since getting her phone.
So when the phone was not recognised and prompted the question (set up as new phone) I clicked "no" and as a result her phone automatically synced to her old iPhone 3s back up from iTunes...
I have searched a lot but I am resided to the fact that I have wiped all her photos from her new phone, and all contacts she has made over the last year and any of the Apps she may have downloaded.
Is there any way of retrieving the information without having an iTunes back up?
I am going to try software from Wondershare when she gets back but can anyone suggest any other alternatives?
Thank you for your help on this..

    <Link Edited By Host>

By chance, was the phone backed up on iCloud? Was she using PhotoStream on iCloud? If not, the chances of revovering the data are slim.
As to the wondershare  software, I wouldn't know. But if you have lost the data, trying it wouldn't hurt. You will be no worse off than you are now (except the price of the software).

  • HT1267 my iphone restored automatically, and now i have lost everything, including apps, contacts, texts etc...i cannot retrieve apps from my itunes as my new itunes did not have all the apps, due to rebooting my comp..can someone help on how i can retrei

My  phone  automatically restored, and now i have lost everythig apps,contacts,texts..i mean everything.... and my itunes does not have anything as my computer had to be reboot, due to a new hard disk...
Can someone help,i really need my contacts  back asap....

well i put my phone on charge, when the connect to itunes icon appeared.therefore, resulting in restorage of the phone.
The prompt to connect to iTunes is automatic, but not the restore process. You must manually select restore. There is no automatic restore.
in order to re-download apps, i will need to re-purchase...and i cannot afford the amount,
Read the link I provided. Had you done so, you would know you do not have to re-purchase apps when re-downloaded.
but to be honest, i am concerned about my contacts. which have completely disapeared and i just want them back.
Unless your contacts were synced with a supported address book app on your computer as designed and intended and your contacts were included with your computer's backup, or unless your contacts are available online with a free Apple iCloud account, with a free Yahoo account, or with a free Gmail account with all providing the ability to sync contacts over the air, your contacts are gone.

    Hi,
I am trying to get App Instance Name in the adapter, was not able to achieve this using standard set of Adapter Variable.
Could someone provide your input on this.I tried mapping using Request Info but was not able to get thru it.  Appreciate your input on this.
What I am looking for is, I have a connected App Instance created attached to RO/IT res. I have attached a custom adapter, i am trying to get the App Instance name that I am requesting in the adapter.
    Use Case is as below:

                List<Account> accountsProvisionedToUser = getProvSvc().getAccountsProvisionedToUser(userKey, search, null, true);

  • Retrieve app usage for other apps?

Hi everyone, I'm wondering what information is possible to get from other apps running in iOS7?
Is it possible to find out how much time has been spent in other apps on your device? Maybe just native apps?
I know there is the ability to find out how much data each app has used (thus the proliferation of data usage apps) but am looking for a way to track time spent in an app.
Also, you can do this with a jailbroken phone (AppTracker and AppCap). Wondering if there is a way to track this same kind of info in iOS7 without jailbraking.
If not, is there a list of what kinds of system information can be accessed by an app?
    Thanks for your help!

I don't see how that would be possible if there isn't a published API for it. Apps run in their own sandbox. They are unaware of any other apps. If you want this feature, I suggest you file a bug report with Apple to ask for it. It seems like some useful data if you can guarantee (to Apple) that you wouldn't share the data with anyone other than the user.
