Retrieve deleted notes from ipad

Some important notes were deleted from Notes in my iPad after my iPhone was repaired and returned. Apparently, as soon as I restored the phone, it erased a month's worth of notes on my iPad and MacBook Pro. The iPad was set up to sync with the computer, but the iPhone default setting must have trumped the others. Does anyone know how I can retrieve my lost notes?

You can Restore the iphone from the backup on your computer. As long as you a have synced your phone to iTunes or iCloud before the messages were deleted they will still be in this backup. 1. Restore from backup. You may also be able to get your notes via third party software. But you'll have to pay for it.
Cheers

  • Retrieving deleted Notes from iPad

For some reason, within recent times I have deleted some of my Notes while typing or adding info.  This time it was 3 at once, incl. 2 copies of an impt. Note.  Is there any way they can be retrieved?  Why does this keep happening?

Thanks.  I don't have iCloud backup because it gave me endless problems with the iPad and I had to disable it eventually.  This is so annoying; Apple Team we are overdue for a solution that allows us to retrieve the Notes more easily, or at least warn users before deleting!

    No Backup?
    Simply put, you can't.
I won't rub salt into it anymore, but I guess you have just learned the importance of backing up your information.
A mistake we've all made (once).

  • Retrieve deleted notes from notepad

Is there anyway to retrieve deleted notes from notepad ?

If you perform backups, you should be able to retrieve deleted Notes from the Notepad. Time Machine excels at this.
However, if you delete a note, and you don't backup, the text is pretty much gone. It's on the computer, somewhere, but you might require a special application to do that - and then, there's no guarantee of success.
In the future, I suggest keeping old notes. They're not like real paper, take up no space on your computer, and are sometimes useful in ways you hadn't considered.

Try this way to recover iPad notes:
    1. Connect your iPad to your computer.
    2. Open iTunes.
    3. Under “Devices”, you should see your phone, right click on it.
    4. Click on “Restore from Backup”.
    5. Select one of the earlier backups when you had all the notes and let it install them. You are done!

  • HT4859 How do i retrieve deleted notes from icloud backup?

I accidentally deleted some notes on my ihone notes app and need to retreive them, can anyone help?

You can try restoring the backup to your phone.  This may recover your notes if they were on your phone when you last backed up.
Restoring to an iCloud backup requires you to first erase the phone.  If you have any more recent data on it that is not contained in the backup, you'll need to save that first.  Then go to Settings>General>Reset, tap Erase All Content and Settings, go through the setup screens on the phone and when given the option, choose Restore from iCloud Backup.  Be sure it's connected to your wifi and your charger as this may take a while to finish.

How do I retrieve deleted notes on iPad

If you had a backup you can restore from iTunes to restore notes. Also were you using iCloud for notes?

  • Sync notes from iPad to iPhone doesn't work.

I have iPad 2 for about a year.  It has 14 Notes in it.  Yesterday I got an iPhone5 and everything sync'd EXCEPT Notes.
Only 4 of the notes sync to iCloud and transferred to iPhone.  The others didn't.  I even modified every single note and tried again, only the 4 notes sync'd.
In iPad Notes settings (and also on the Notes app) I discovered there is a "Default Account" and the 4 notes that sync to iCloud & iPhone have an account set to iCloud but the other notes that won't are all listed as "On My iPad".  I presume this is the source of my sync problem.
There is no similar setting on the iPhone regarding a Default Account on the Notes app or settings for the Notes app.
I see lots of discussion about Note sync problems but nothing specifically as I describe regarding changing the default acct.
How do I fix this?  I tried setting Default acct iCloud, modifying the notes after this change but only the same 4 Notes sync to iCloud.
    Thanks, Jon

For the record, I copied Notes that didn't sync into an email and sent to iPhone.  Copied notes from the emails into new note on iPhone.  then deleted Note from iPad that were in the "on my iPad" account and now they seem to sync ok.
Fortunately I only had to do this for a few Notes.  This solution is a real kludge and with all the complaints from other users about syncing I am astonished Apple hasn't published a solution.

How can I retrieve deleted videos from my iPad 2?

Did you backup your device after you took the video but before you deleted it?  If so, restore your device with that backup.  If not, then there's no way to retrieve that video.

  • Retrieving a deleted note from the "Notes" app.

Hey, I was woundering if there is anyway possible that you could retrieve a deleted note from the "Notes" app.
A very sincere note was given to my by a significant other via this app, and it was accidentally deleted.
    I appriciate your time

You could probably try restoring from a backup of the iPod Touch, but only if that backup was made before the note was deleted. Other than that, I'm afraid it's lost (unless the note was emailed, which would cause it to appear in the "Sent" folder of your mail account on the iPod).

If they were photos taken with your iPhone and you have Photo Stream activated through iCloud they are in the cloud. If not - they are in the wind.
