Retrieving apps from a previous apple ID
Is there a way to retrieve previously purchased apps through an old apple ID (I can't remember my old password and no longer have access to that email address?). My personal details (and billing details) are the same for my new account?
When you connect to another Mac you should get a prompt on iOS about 'trusting this device'. I'm unsure if that is iOS 7 only, earlier OS's paired, but I can't recall the prompt.
http://www.the4cast.com/2013/06/ios-7-alerts-you-when-your-connect-your-device-t o-a-new-computer/
That causes the device to 'pair', which is also what the iOS device needs to allow syncing. If the device is set to open iTunes automatically it can be too easy to end up with an actual sync, which authorises your device for use with the Apple ID of the apps that get transferred.
I think you need to remove the apps & then check that device is not associated with the second Apple ID. In iTunes, sign in to the desired account in the store, select manage devices under the 'iTunes in the cloud' section of the account info page. Remove any that shouldn't be connected with that account.
The safest way to charge iOS on another device is to power off iOS & then connect it. The prompt will still happen, but there is no chance of a sync when the device is 'fully locked'. Once you enter the pin or password on iOS becomes unlocked & available for syncing data to 'paired' machines.

If I want to change my Apple ID will my apps from the previous Apple ID get deleted?
If I want to change my Apple ID will my apps from the previous Apple ID get deleted?
No, it will just ask you for the password to your old Apple ID to update the apps in the future. Unless your talking about simply changing the email address associated with your Apple ID account.

Help please how do I install Apps from my old Apple ID ?
Hi
I have two Apple ID wold like to install an Apps from my old Apple ID.
Please helpGo to your System Preferences, scroll down to iTunes and App Stores. Tap your current Apple ID, and press "Sign Out." Then go ahead and sign in with the account you bought the apps on.
Go to the App Store, and go to Updates. Once it loads, you can navigate to your previous purchases, which by tapping on the little iCloud logo, you can download.

i just got a new iphone & ipadand want to transfer purchased apps from a previously owned bro's iphone rather than purchasing them again. is that possible using icloud?
Apps designed for iOS do not run on OS X....
But... media files should still run if that's that you mean.

icloud did not install my apps from my previouse ipad when I set up my new ipad, any suggestions?
I show the last back up when I go into settings but I do not know how to get the items out of back up? Should I try restarting it? When I was setting up the new ipad for the first time it asked for my icloud login and password but it did not give me an option to retrieve the old back up?

When I updated itunes I lost all of my music, I was able to retrieve it from a previous itunes library, but now some artists have all of their songs listed under one "unknown album." Is there a way to separate these songs back into the correct albums? Also, is there a way to make songs that have a featured guest just show up with the rest of the album instead of making a whole new spot for it? Thanks!
" When I did this, my library showed all the music I have "purchased" from itunes but did not have the music that I downloaded a long time ago through itunes from my old CDs."
Correct.
" How can I get that music to show up in my library now on my new computer? "
Copy it from your old computer or your backup copy of your old computer.
The sync is one way - computer to ipod. -
Can I sync purchased/merge/move apps from an old apple-ID to a new one?
Hello all.
I have been using an apple-ID, which I have been sharing with my family, for about two years now.
Now I want to have my own apple-ID, so that I can have fully control over it myself, and so that I can use iCloud on my own apple devices and not on the whole family's!
The problem is, though, that I have purchased a lot of apps on that old apple-ID, and I do not feel like buying all of those apps again on a new apple-ID - that would be a waste of money!
So, is it possible to sync/merge/move/share those purchased apps from the old apple-ID to a new apple-ID?
Of course I can keep all of the apps on my devices, but then again, it would be very unpractical to purchase and update some apps with the new ID, while I still have to update other apps with the old one.
Any solutions?"So, is it possible to sync/merge/move/share those purchased apps from the old apple-ID to a new apple-ID?"
No.
Sorry.
Apps will always be tied to the account from which they were purchased, and will always have to be updated using that account. -
I had apps from 2 different apple ids on my son's ipod touch. When I synched it to my computer, it backed the apps from other id onto my computer and deleted them from the ipod. How do I find the apps and how do I put them back on the ipod touch?
Apps can be re-downloaded, and you won't be charged again for a purchsased app as long as you use the same iTunes account to re-download the app that was used to purchase the app originally.
All apps - all paid and free apps include DRM protection which is tied to the iTunes account that was used to download the apps. Apps cannot be transferred to or combined with another iTunes account.

The_Tonmoy wrote:
I have no communication with my that friend :/ So it means i need to delete those apps? There's no other solution to update those apps?
No. purchases are forever tied to the apple ID used to buy them. Delete them and buy your own copies. -
My Apple TV wasn't working so I returned it. I kept the same remote from my previous Apple TV and it's not responding to it. What should I do?
Don't you have 2 Apple remotes now?
Either way, hold menu and down key together for 6 secs and that should fix it unless the remote is broken or battery is flat.

How to retrieve contacts from a previous back up?
How can you retrieve contacts from a previous backup?
Actually, this is correct.
I didn't write they were not included in the backup, just why they are part of the backup.
-> iTunes: About iOS backups
"iTunes will back up the following information
Contacts* and Contact Favorites (regularly sync contacts to a computer or cloud service such as iCloud to back them up).
* Your contacts are part of the backup to preserve recent calls and favorites lists. Back up your contacts to a supported personal information manager (PIM), iCloud, or another cloud-based service to avoid any potential contact data loss." -

That statement is false. Copied directly from the iTunes Store Terms and Conditions:
"The iTunes Service is available to you only in( Insert country name here). You agree not to use or attempt to use the iTunes Service from outside these locations. Apple may use technologies to verify your compliance."
You need to be physically located in the country, its territories or possessions whose store you are trying to use. -
If I have purchased an app on my iPhone, can I download the same app from the same Apple ID on my Mac?
Mac Apps and iOS apps are not the same.

Why do apps from the old Apple ID still show in the new ID's cloud?
I set-up a phone with a new apple ID, but the apps from the old apple ID still show up in the cloud. I thought that the phone was entirely re-set, but apparently, the old apple ID is in there somewhere. How can I correct this?
Delete the account, log back in with the new AppleID and password to reset the iCloud account in your iOS devices.
