Retrieving lost S/N

I had a hardware failure on a PC which had CS4 installed. I've bought a no computer but have lost my serial number (it was a download version so I have no box etc) Is there somewhere I can retrieve this so I can install the programs on my new PC?
Alternately, I do have a CD box with S/N for CS3 which I can install, but can't activate because the response is "exceed the number of activations"  I can't deactivate as I no longer have the systems that this program used to be installed on. Is there another way of deactivating?

Find your serial number quickly
Contact support by web chat or phone to reset activations.

  • How do I retrieve lost voice memo that WASN'T backed up?

While updating to the new IOS 7.1, my phone froze and went into recovery mode. I had to do a reset and update and then restore from a backup file which took upwards of an hour. Oh joy. I try to back up my Iphone 4s to my Macbook often so I didn't lose too much during the reset except for a very important voice memo.
My question is, is there any way to retrieve that voice memo lost during the update if it wasn't backed up? I've tried iExplorer and some other data recovery software but they are only able to extract what is already available on the phone or from a previous back up. I called into my local Apple store and they referred me to a super expensive data recovery specialist. I've heard of USB sticks, Iphone Data Recovery sticks that are supposed to be able to retrieve old data from when you first bought your phone. But they are expensive as well and I'm not entirely sold that it'll work for me.
Does anyone know of any alternative methods? Or if it's even possible to retrieve lost data after a reset? I'm desperate to get this voice memo back so thanks for any help!

No. It's gone. And you can ignore the spamvertisements that are sure to pop up touting data recovery software. The only thing they are going to recover is your money... straight into their own pockets.

  • How do I retrieve lost notes and pictures

How do I retrieve lost notes and pictures

Not sure about pictures, but for iphone notes:
After many hours of trying everything to retrieve my lost notes (several just disappeared overnight for no reason) it dawned on me that they were linked to one of my email accounts (In my case yahoo).
I logged into that account directly from the yahoo site (not iphone mail!) and "Voila!" all of my notes, even the disappeared ones, were there!
Took some cut & pasting and I'm back in business.
    Hope this helps.

  • How do I retrieve lost music?

Downloaded Itunes on a new computer and am trying to retrieve lost music files.  Everything pulled up when I first clicked the library link.  When I tried to create a playlist, a message kept popping up, saying that I needed to authorize this computer before I do anything else basically.  I then went to account settings, and it showed that the device was authorized.  I thought that maybe it just needed to be reset, so i clicked unauthorize and ok.  I went back to authorize it again and clicked done.  Then went back into the library, and the only songs that where in there, were the ones that made it into the new playlist I created before the authorization message popped up.  How do I get all of my downloaded songs back?  I went from having about 500 songs to about 9!!!!  Help!

Does anyone know how to retrieve lost mailbox folders and their contents in mail?

It might be that you selected "Delete sent mail after a mont (or a week, or whatever)" in Mail Preferences. iCloud account is IMAP, so it won't keep mail in your HD. I have that problem.

I am afraid that the only solution is to find a company that can retrieve lost data from the Blackberry.
Do you perhaps know one ?
No. Remember, BlackBerry data is locked down and irretrievable.
If you have pictures/media on the media card they should retrievable easily. Data on the device, no.

How can I retrieve lost pictures on my iPad?

Did you delete the pics, or you just can't find them on your iPad?
If you deleted them, they are gone as there is no Trash Can or Recycke Bin. If you have a backup, retrieve the pics from your backup.

  • Retrieve lost tra

is there a way of retrieving lost data from my zen xtra hard dri've. i updated my zen firmware then syncronised with my new laptop only to find my tracks had dissapeared on my mp3 player, but i didn't press any delete buttons or receive any delete warnings. so how do you find data that has just dissapeared.

Deleting a mail account causes all your mail stored in that account’s mailboxes to be removed from the computer as well, and you you were warned that this would happen by an alert similar to this for Mail 2.x (I don’t know what the exact wording is in Mac OS X 10.3):
    Remove Account
Are you sure you want to remove the <AccountType> account "<AccountName>"?
This will permanently delete the account setup information, mailboxes, and messages from your computer. Messages stored on the mail server will not be affected. For IMAP-type accounts, this is not a problem because mail is stored on the server. If you deleted a POP account, however, your mail has certainly been wiped out from the computer, not just moved somewhere.
To prevent that from happening, you should have moved your mail to custom “On My Mac” mailboxes instead of leaving it in the account’s mailboxes. Actually, using the account’s Inbox and Sent mailboxes for archiving purposes is a bad idea regardless — see Overstuffed mailbox is unexpectedly empty.
If the messages are not on the server, and you don’t have a backup (which you should have made before doing something like that), you may use a data recovery tool such as Data Rescue II, TechTool Pro, or FileSalvage to try to salvage as many deleted mbox files as possible in the case of Mail 1.x, and as many deleted *.emlx files as possible in the case of Mail 2.x. Stop using your computer right now if you want to try that, as anything you do with the computer may cause the deleted files to be overwritten.
BTW, if you’re running Mac OS X 10.3 (Panther), it would have been more appropriate to discuss this in the Mail & Address Book - Mac OS X 10.3 & earlier forum.
