Retrieving pictures on itunes!
my brothers iphone 4 was synced to itunes on the computer, when i plugged in my iphone 5 all of my brothers pictures, songs and files were deleted. how do i get them back? i mainly want the pictures back. thank you.
ONly way to retrieve your photos is to restore from a current backup if you have one and if it included those pics.
did you not import those pics to your computer as you would a digital camera, that way you could sync those pics using itunes.
IF your answer is no to both, then sorry those pics are gone.

How can I retrieve pictures, lost from my iphone during a backup?
How can I retrieve pictures, lost from my iphone during a backup?
The photos could have gone a couple of different places ...but it is unlikely that they are lost forever. It kind of depends how your Backup was done. With many Computer-based iTunes connections, your Computer Photo App will actually open first when you connect your iPhone and the photo transfer will happen between the iPhone and the App. Assuming that isn't what happened in your case, but you did Backup on iTunes, you could reconnect to iTunes and then click on your iPhone button on the Computer screen ...typically the iTunes Summary screen will show up ...but you can tab-through the various iTunes Screens and find the Photo page. You could check your options and see if you have a Manual Sync setting regarding iTunes to iPhoone ...this would mean you have to select the Photos you want to download to the iPhone during the Sync.

A few months ago my iPod and laptop were stolen. Is there a way to retrieve my old iTunes library or a portion of my old iTunes songs even though I do not the iPod or the laptop?
Any and all help is welcome and needed.
Thanks!Use the backup to put back what you have... something is better than nothing.
Any purchases that are still missing can be downloaded from iTunes.
Downloading past purchases from iTunes
If the iTunesLibrary.itl file was not a part of the backup, your library is gone. Playlists will need to be recreated, playcounts are gone. -

I have an original Ipad, I tired to update it, but during the update it gave me an error message (1602) an now it just has a picture of itunes and a ubs cord? Please help!!
First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. It could take well over an hour! Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here. -
I had an update message on my phone and I clicked yes to update. Now the phone has a picture of itunes and usb connection, but can't be used. itunes says I have to restore my phone, but will lose all the data. Is there anything else I can do? I really don't want to lose all my pictures and other data.
It's in recovery mode. There is nothing left on the phone at all. If you didn't back it up before you started, your data is gone.
you have no choice but to restore at this point. -

Is there a way to retrieve pictures deleted from photo stream that are not yet on camera roll?
Is there any way to retrieve pictures deleted from photo stream that are not yet on camera roll? I used my iPhone for a camera and put pix on iPad through photo stream. But I didn't realize they were not on the iPad camera roll, and deleted them from the phone Photostream. Now they are gone. Any chance to find them in the cloud?
No, there is no re-cycling bin on the iPad. If you deleted them from the card, and you havn't yet re-used the card, then there may be recovery software that you can get for your computer that might be able to get them back.

Newbie here, so dumb question....
I can't find any way of putting jpg files in iTunes.
I was thinking of getting the Apple TV unit, so I could view my pics on the big TV screen.
The info on TV says I should have all my pictures in iTunes - but how?
No help in iTunes help.
Help please. You're welcome. I'm glad that solved your problem. While you are waiting on your iPod and Apple TV you might want to read these pages:

How to sync pictures in iTunes
I have vista, and all in all everything works fine with iPhone, however, I can not figure out how to synchronize pictures in iTunes so that the pictures taken by iPhone are transfered to the computer and vice verse. I did setup folder for this and pointed iTunes to that folder in iPhone options in iTunes. But the only thing iTunes puts into that folder are some other folders with the names F00, F01 and so on, which are empty. And no pictures anywhere.
What do I do wrong?

E6600 Windows Vista 8800GTX, 2GB RAM
E6600 Windows Vista 8800GTX, 2GB RAMi wouldn't say it's a bug, but more a feature of iTunes as a software. it's not designed to take information off the iPhone, but is designed to put information on it..
with a mac, typically the iPhone will automatically open iPhoto to import any pictures that might have been taken with the phone.
if you have another digital camera, there is a good chance you can set your iPhone to open the software for your camera to allow you to import pictures.
I am unsure, as I've never used Vista -
