Retrieving purchased iTunes

I just sent my Powerbook G4 in to get my screen fixed, and when I got it back, my harddrive was erased. The backup copy of my harddrive that I thought I had was recently erased.
Is there any way that I can redownload my purchased iTunes? I read somewhere on the apple website that purchased songs can only be downloaded once, but is there an exception for when an apple technician deletes your harddrive?

You might try to contact iTMS customer support through iTunes help: Some users reported that they were allowed to re-download their purchased for free.
If you own an iPod that has been synched, you also may use tools like iPodrip, SENUTI or iPod Access to retrieve your tunes

How can i retrieve purchased audiobooks that were not synced (problem encountered during sync process)?  My account shows the purchase history, but the apps are no longer displayed in itunes or on my ipad or iphone.  I'm not very savvy with using iTunes - I don't think is very intuitive (unlike me:)).  Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks

  • How do I retrieve my iTunes purchases?

I had to restore my computer due to a virus emergency. The wipe ended up destroying my iTunes backup completely because the virus literally infected everything, and now it says that there's no available downloads (I think that has something to do with authorizing computers, because I never got to deauthorize my iTunes before I restored my computer to factory settings). How do I retrieve my iTunes purchases? There's got to be some way to do it, I spent probably over $500 on purchases and will be really upset with Apple if there's no way to get it all back.
Also, I looked up some YouTube videos on how to do it, and some mentioned a place on the Apple website where you request them to reapply your active downloads, which will recover all of your purchases even in a situation like mine. However, all the links that were provided on the videos are now broken. If someone could either tell me what to do straight up, or send me a working link to that place, that'd be great. Thanks!

Depending upon what country that you are in (not all content types can currently be re-download in all countries) then you should be able to re-download some/all via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage on your computer's iTunes : re-downloading.
If you are not in a country where everything can be re-downloaded and you haven't got a backup then you can try contacting iTunes support and see if they will grant you a re-download : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page

  • Retrieving previously purchased itunes

I recently sinc-ed my iphone with my PC, itunes it removed all my purchased itune songs and ringtones, and did not save them to my PC and they are no longer on my iphone either. Does anyone know how to find them to reinstall, since I have already paid for many?? Thanks for any input!

you can try contacting apple directly, and if you ask very nicely, they may allow you to redownload your missing content, but they are not required to do so.
are you sure your purchased content is no longer on your phone and is not on your computer?

  • How do i retrieve old itunes library on recovered computer?

I had to run recovery disk on my computer and need to retrieve my itunes library

It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer.  Use your backup copy to put everything back.
If for some reason you failed to maintain a backup ( not good), then you can redownload some itunes purchases in some countries:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store

  • My computers hard drive has stoped working, how can I retrieve my Itunes library from my computer?

My computers hard drive has stoped working. How can I retrieve my itunes library? My back ups were on this hard drive as well.
When I brought my computer to be fixed they said they would retrieve photos and music and documents but loose my programs. That being said I am not sure if I will recover my music from itunes because it may fall under the program category. I support itunes by purchasing from itunes, but now i am in a position where i may loose years of purchassing music and it has me feeling a little bit sick to be honest...the stress this is causing is really big. DÙoes anyone have any experience with this type of problem?
    Help is appreciated, thank you.

If the data is recoverable from the drive then they should have recovered the entire iTunes folder which includes the library database. Restore this into the <User's Music> folder of a replacement system, install iTunes, and it should be as before.

Any solution to unable to retrieve purchased apps in a new iPad using same Apple ID, same country but different payment mode?

    Hello there, Tag2011.
The following Knowledge Base article offers up great information on the process of downloading a previous purchase:
    Download past purchases
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519
    Particularly useful in your instance:
    Before you begin
Sign in with the Apple ID that you used for the original purchase.
See which Apple ID you used to download an item.
See if the content is available for redownload. Previously purchased items might not be available if they're no longer on the iTunes Store. If you changed your Apple ID from one country to another, you can’t download items you purchased in a previous country.
    and then to download again:
    Apps
    Tap App Store.
If you're using an iPhone or iPod touch, tap Updates, then tap Purchased.
If you're using an iPad, tap Purchased.
Find the item that you want to download.
Tap the Download icon. After the app downloads, you can open it from the Home screen.
If you can't find the item that you purchased in the iTunes Store, report a problem with the item. You can report a problem with a purchase made within the last 90 days.
If you have a problem with an older purchase, contact iTunes Store support.
Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.
    Cheers,
    Pedro.

I have a Ipad2, my computer that contains all of my apps, music etc crashed and dosent work. I bought a new laptop, how do I retrieve that iTunes account and or apps, movies etc.

With your new computer, you'll download a fresh copy of iTunes and then authorize iTunes using your Apple ID and Password.  Read the following link:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1420
You can then connect your iPad to your new computer via USB cable and transfer your purchases (do not connect your iPad until you have authorized the computer.  The music you had in your old iTunes account will not be in your new account as music is stored in a file on your hard drive, which you said has crashed.
