Hi Satish,
you can unlock your user and use the same user after unlocking.
Go to SU01 and unlock your user. If you dont have access to SU01 contact your Basis/Security team so that they could be able to do it for you.

How to import stuff from SLD to Integration Builder ?

Hi All ,
I have done all my definition and configuration in SLD - Product definiton, Technical System, Business system, SWCV , SWC , logical system - everything is in SDL.
When I go to' IB:design' and 'IB:config' I don't see anything I created in SLD?
I guess this is because the very next step should be to import all this stuff from SLD into Integration Builder.?.I read some posts on the forum but it is not clear where this is done :
1.should I do it first in IB:design or in IB:configuration ?
Can you please tell me how this is done technically and in what order - from wich menu and how?
2.And what is Enviroment->Clear SLD Data Cache used ? Do I have to use it and at which point?

If you do all the configuration in SLD only thing you have to import is the software component into Design and create your namespace and all the objects.
In Configuration you have to import your business systems and do all the routing rules.

2.And what is Enviroment->Clear SLD Data Cache used ? Do I have to use it and at which point?
If you change anything in IR and ID and this new changes do not reflect in your scenario then we do this normally.

Can't read SLD from Integration Builder

Hi Experts,
When we select the option "Transfer from System Landscape Directory" and "Import Software Component Versions", we get the following error:
"Unable to read software component versions from System Landscape Directory".
If you have encountered this error in the past, please can you share the solution?

Check it you have imported correctly the ESR content following one of the notes below
according to your system version:
PI 7.1X:
#1152640 - SAP NetWeaver 7.1 including EHP 1: Importing ESR content
XI 7.0:
#836200 - SAP NetWeaver 7.0: Importing Process Integration Content
XI 3.0:
#705541 - XI 3.0 (SP1 and higher): Importing XI Content

Not able to import SLD objects into Integration Builder

Username and pwd for FileAdapter with NFS as transport protocol

Hi,
we installed PI 7.1 in windows env.
to access a particular target location manually from the PI windows server, the procedure is:
in the Start->Run or in the explorer bar we type the ip as "
121.1.2.3\SourceFolder", then the windows asks for the username and pwd, once we enter valid username/pwd, we get the access to the "
121.1.2.3\SourceFolder".
to poll the files under this folder, we setup a FileAdapter Communication Channel with TransportProtocol=NFS. (so its not FTP).
In the "File access Parameters" section, in the "source directory" value we entered as "
121.1.2.3\SourceFolder"
but where can we provide the username and password that would be required to access this folder.
when we activated the CC, in the RWB, we see log as:
Configured source directory '
121.1.2.3\SourceFolder' does not exist

So the folder does not exits in your XI installed server. It will be there in some other Server location.If am correct then NFS protocol not work for this. you should required FTP for accessing the external server path. NFS protocol used to access the local XI machine path only.

Timeout in ESB and Integration Builder

Hi,
The Enterprise Service Builder, Runtime Workbench and Integration Builder browser will time out after a certain time limit. Can someone point me to where these default times can be changed in the NWA for PI 7.1?
I searched and found one thread on this, but it was not answered.

Actually this is the BASIS issue.
Logon to PI system and execute the transaction RZ10 and choose the profile instance and select the Extended maintanance radio button and click on display then you will get the ...j2ee_timeout parameter there you can increase the value.

Where-Used between ESR and Integration Builder

Hello everyone,
i am wondering if there is a possibility of finding out where and if esr-content is used in the Integration Builder (Conf.time)?
I often face the problem that i have got ESR-Content in front of me, where i don't know if, and if yes, where this content, for example a Service Interface, is used in Configuration-Time!
How can i determine this?

in ID use following path..
Object--> Find.
it will open search requirement window..
in that select receiver determination if you want to check outbound service interface from IR.. or select Interface determination in case you want to check for inbound service interface..
suppose in IR side you have outbound service interface : CreateCustomerOutbound
then in ID go to find and select receiver determination and in interface provide CreateCustomerOutbound
this will search all scenario where CreateCustomerOutbound is being used .. likewise you can narrow it down in Find option to get the required results in less time..
but no direct method for search..

can you explain how Dependency bw SLD and Integration Repository is created???

In the post installation tasks, the dependencies are added via ABAP (sldapicust and SM59) and Java (exchangeProfile and Java Admin Console)

Force Integration Builder (Design and Configuration) language to be English

Hi Experts!
Does anyone know how to force the Integration Builder (Design and Configuration) language to be English? Since SSO is configured the logon screen do not appear and users can not choose the language they want. The problem is that the default language is German instead of English.

Now all they have the value EN. I also restarted the applications (Server --> Services --> Deploy) :

However, nothing changed. Maybe I have to restart all the J2EE Engine?

Change background color - Integration Builder and others

Hello all,
Does anyone know how to change the background color displayed in the Integration Builder and other Java stack components of XI?
We have a company policy that each different landscape (Dev, QA, Prod, etc) has a different background color in order to minimise the risk of mistakes (ie making an entry / setting in the wrong system).
For the SAPGui components this is easy to do (just registry entries), but how can this be done for Java stack components?
Any ideas appreciated (including other ways of highlighting which system you are on if differnt colors are not possible).

can can always have a look
the top tab of the IB tools (IR, ID)
you have server + instance number there
with ID you will have different object names (business systems)
for IR different authorizations (DEV, PRD...)

Data not Updated Automatically in SLD to XI Integration Builder

I am trying to create a new software component in the SLD for use with our XI machine. However, when I do this, the component does not appear in the XI Integration Builder.
I have looked at the Automatically Updated Data page of the central SLD, and noticed that our XI J2EE system has not Auto-Updated with the SLD for quite some time, if ever.
Can somebody please give me some pointers how to sheck/configure this? Also, is there a way to update the information between the SLD and the XI system manually?

I think the problem is the system cannot actually see the SLD for some reason.
If I try to access the SLD using the DNS name, I am unable to do so:
http://dnsname:52300/sld/index.html
However, if I use the IP address direct, I can do so:
http://192.xxx.xxx.xxx:52300/sld/index.html
I notice that when I try to access the SLD from the XI start page, the link is using the http://dnsname:52300/sld/index.html form, which isn't working.
Also, when I try to Import Software Component Versions from the Integration Builder menu, I get the error:
com.sap.aii.ibrep.client.swc.ExtSwcAccessException: Unable to read software component versions from System Landscape Directory "dnsname:52300"
So I'm thinking this may be some kind of DNS error, but I don't know how to resolve it.
Any clues?

What's the Name and PWD in JCO Creation ?

Hello All,
 I want to create a JCo Connection.
These are the steps which I've followed :-
1. Logged on to the Portal with username and PWD.
2. Went to the WebDynpro Tab.
3. Clicked on Create JCo Connection
4. Entered the details :-
 NAME : Test_Meta_Data
 Client : 800
Note: I gave the client number of the SAP backend system . Is it right ?
5. J2EE Cluster : I have only one server in the DropDown and it's already selected.
So I choosed the next step.
6. Connection Type : DICTIONARY META DATA
7. Application Server Connection :-
 Message Server : Only one server I have in the DropDown and so I selected that.
8. Security :
 Use Method : USER / PASSWORD
 Name : sapuser
 PWD : server
 Confirm PWD : server
 SNC : OFF
9. Finish.
When I press Finish I'm getting a message :-
" failed to create a new JCo Connection Test_Meta_Data
Error while obtaining JCo Connection. "
Can any one help me in resolving this ?

Firstly,
Yes, The details u enter while creating JCO connection are for the SAP system,
So Client, UserName, Password are for SAP system(Backend) you are creating JCO for.
Secondly, About the error u r getting,
Error says " failed to create a new JCo Connection Test_Meta_Data"
that means the SLD user has not sufficient authorization to create JCO.
In Visual Administrator, in SLD Data Supplier
You would have given SLD connection settings, there you have to give the user which has sufficient authorization(Admin authorizations) to create JCO connection..
Check the current user given in SLD Data Supplier.
Hopefully your problem will be solved.

Problems in SLD and Cache refresh (SXI_CACHE).

Dear Experts,
I am facing SLD and Cache refresh problems in PI 7.0 on HP-UX.
1) SXI_CACHE : Last Error During Cache refresh is showing LCR_GET_OWN_BUSINESS_SYSTEM - NO_BUSINESS_SYSTEM error. And also Start Delta Cache Refresh / Start Complete Cache refresh are in deactive mode (Frozen).
2) SLDCHECK : Log says No Business System for ABC Client 100 ".
where ABC=SID. Business System INTEGRATION_SERVER_ABC is declared in SLD and client 100 is assigned.
My question is : Is this a BASIS or DEVELOPER issue? Also please let me know if you have any solutions for the above mentioned issue. Thanks in Advance.

Hello,
Since this is an PI system, your XI consultant must have created/will need to create business systems in SLD for the scenario to work properly. This error is because it cannot find the business system.
You cannot point out the fingers on Basis or XI and say that it is THEIR issue. Please consult with the consultant who is doing the XI interface and check if the business systems he require are properly created in SLD. If not, create them or ask them to create it (if they are allowed to..).
From the error, what i can see is that you have defined an integration server INTEGRATION_SERVER_ABC in SLD . the XI interface is checking the required business system in the integration server INTEGRATION_SERVER_ABC in SLD but cannot find it over there. Please check the integration server INTEGRATION_SERVER_ABC in SLD and talk to the XI consultant and you will be able to fix this with their help.
