Retrieving the userid's that are accessing the Oracle Portal

We are using Oracle Discoverer Portal 10g and are looking at the option of finding out how many and which users are accessing this portal and for how long? Is there anyway of retrieving this information.

ie.
database A have the db_link to database B through a schema A
now i need to find what are the Synonyms and views that are accessing through db_link either directly or indirectly..

On the second database (B) use this query to find the SQL which used by the schema A (DB LINK USER). Check the SQL_FULLTEXT column.
select sql_fulltext,sql_id,module,parsing_schema_name,parsing_user_id,first_load_time,loads,users_executing,rows_processed,plsql_exec_time,sorts,fetches,invalidations,parse_calls,cpu_time,elapsed_time,disk_reads,buffer_gets
from V$sqlarea

Displaying images that are accessed through URL

Hi,
I have trouble displaying images that are accessed through URLs in my report.
If I call the URL directly in the Browser the Image can be opened without problems.
The images can be accessed with an anonymous access.
When I deploy the report or in the Preview of Visual Studio I get the following message:
[rsWarningFetchingExternalImages] Images with external URL references will not display if the report is published to a report server without an UnattendedExecutionAccount or the target image(s) are not enabled for anonymous access.
In Layout View of Visual Studio the image is showen correctly.
The Images are stored on a Solaris maschine with WebSphere 6.0 as WebServer.
Any ideas?

Migration from Sun Java System Portal Server to the Oracle Portal

Hi, I'm in charge of evaluate the viability of a project that comprises the migration from Sun Java System Portal Server to the Oracle Portal. so I'm wondering if there is a kind of out of box migration tool in Oracle Portal or exists some guidelines to do the migration. In the other hand there is the option of migrate from Sun Java System Portal Server to Oracle WebCenter?

The migration path for Sun Portal Server is Oracle WebCenter Suite. WebCenter is a significantly different architecture so there are no tools planned for the migration. However, we do plan to document and publish a whitepaper once we've assisted a few of the initial customer migrations.

Page link error when other user connect to the oracle portal

Hi,
I have a problem which I just realized today. I have created a page group, named community, and this page group contains few pages that are created using templates.
My problem is, when my colleagues logged to the oracle portal using their account, they cannot see the pages that I created, instead, when clicked on the pages within the page group, they only see the page templates (only the skeleton). They should be able to view the actual page that I created using the template, not the template I used to create the page.
Anybody with this problem can help? or maybe others can help me solve this problem.

The recommended way is to export the User Manager configuration template out (using the AdminUI), import it into your new enviroment (again using the AdminUI - you have to type the password of the LDAP user in since it is not exported) and then initiating an LDAP Synch.

HELP WITH SUBFOLDERS ACCESS IN ORACLE PORTAL....

Hi, all im a user of Oracle Portal and when I create a Folder called ROOT with access to group 1 and 2, y create subfolders C, and D, C and D has the same privileges than A and B, but if i add F, G,H,I,J,K,L,ETC, and before that I add a new group to ROOT CALLED 3, THE SUBFOLDERS DOESN'T inherit the same access than the root, they has only the access that was granted when I create that folder.
There is some way to recreate the access to all the subfolders once they was created without doing it folder per folder?.

Unable to retrieve e-mail addresses that are in the server's address book

Since I installed the new version of Firefox (4.0) I am unable to retrieve any of the e-mail addresses that are duly indicated in the server's address book.
In summary, beforehand I could type the 1st letter of an e-mail address and Firefox would remember it and propose it upfront!
What can I do to solve this issue please!?

Hi gbman, sorry I missed your reply, I took someone out to a birthday dinner.
A good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
1. Clear Firefox's Cache
Firefox > Preferences > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Offline Storage : "Clear Now"
2. If needed, delete the site's cookies here
While viewing a page on the site,
Tools > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
After clearing the cookies, reload the page and try logging in again. Does that help?

Publish a BI Publisher HTML output to the Oracle Portal

We currently use multiple JSPs to assemble and display employee data in portlets in our Oracle Portal. We're interested in redoing the display of this data using BI Publisher and would still like to send it to a portlet in our Oracle Portal. Essentially we would pass the userid as a parameter to BI Publisher when the employee logs on to the portlet. I was wondering if anyone ever published the HTML formatted output to an Oracle Portal?

Here is my xpath defined in the report:

According to the WSDL file, the candidate companies are stored in an array. I am having problem to retrieve this values from the array. The web service ref is called but it returns nothing.
Anyone in the forum can tell me what I did wrong?

Hi, did you manage to figure this out? I'm having a similar problem with arrays.
Also, i'm looking at how I can pass an array of values as input to the webservice call.. eg if I were calling a stock ticker service that allows you to supply a list of tickers as input so that you can get all your responses in one call. Anyone any thoughts on that?
