Retro Issue

Hi Experts,
I have a scenario, plz help.
I have a wage type say overtime which is calculated indirectly on the basis of Basic Salary. This is paid to the employee group Apprentice. Arrears is also paid to this employee group if there is any back dated changes (like appraisal within the employee group) in the basic salary. But if the employee is promoted to the another employee group say executive from a back date then I dont have to pay the arrears to this employee even if the basic salary changes.
Now, the issue is that how to restict the system from calculating the arrears in 2nd case that is if the employee is promoted to the another employee group from back date.
plz suggest some way ou.
regards
TS

Hi,
Overtime wage type is allowed to the workers level only and overtime arrear wage time is also allowed to the workers level only.
But overtime arrear is calculated by the system itself during the retro run.....Now i want to restrict the retro in case the employee is promoted to the executive level.
How to handle this situation?
regards
TS

  • Payroll retro issue - related to /563

    Hi PY experts,
    Problem:
I have one PY retro issue.
Issue reported in December  is :-  One employee has a /563 claim of $18.45 (Claim from prev mth).
Why is here a deduction shown for this payslip?.
Issue reported in Jan 2010 is :- same employee has $99.3 (Claim from prev mth).
My analysis and details are as follows:-
    December retro triggered for Oct,Nov.
Jan 10-retro triggered for June 09 onwards.
/561(amt employee owes to employer) in Nov in December run:- 18.45.
    /561 in Nov in Jan'10 run:-117.75
    So,
/563(claims from previous month) in December in december run:-18.45
    /563 in December in Jan'10 run:-117.75
    So,
99.30 SGD shown in Jan 2010 is the difference between the figures which was displayed in the last month.Ies (117.75 - 18.45 ) =99.30 .
-But my understanding is /561 will get formulated only in case  the /110+/550 is negative.
But in this employee's scenario this amount is not coming as negative. Then how /561 is getting formulated even though( /110+/550 ) is not negative?
There is only difference between different runs of payroll of /101 . here is no difference in /110 amounts for same months in different runs.
So retro triggered thru the payment wage types(Cumilation 01).So I have run the wage type reoprt for comparing these wage types.(I can fwd this to email)
My doubts /help required areas are :-
    1) How   /561 is getting formulated even though( /110+/550 ) is not negative?
    2) I can forward the details in proper excel format(easy to compare kind) -monthly wage type  comparison report
which is related to (/101) wise reoprt , pls help me to find out how the exact amount is getting formulated.
    Regards
    Thomas

  • Retro issue Infotype 14 wagetypes

    Hi Experts,
Changes in Infotype 0008 wagetype is working fine and is appearing in /551 .
Similar thing is not happening for IT0014 wagetypes. I've changed them from past date but the /551 doesn't get affected.
Already checked the retro settings in tables V_51P6_C & V_51P6_B
Appreciate your comments in this regard.

    Could not able to understand,
The issue is some of the wage types in IT0014 which are changed from a past date aren't getting recalculated and arrears getting processed.
What is aren't getting recalculated- (no calculation no arrears)
Arrears getting processed - (calculation then only arrears comes into picture).

  • Issue Retro Payroll with currency

    Dear all!
I have problem, i try to find out the reason but not succeed. I am using Payroll Schema running for employee in India, of course currency is INR. However I hired 1 employee with currency as USD. The rate 1 USD = 46 INR. Decimal of INR is 3 in V_CURX, but USD I cannot find in V_CURX, but check in basic pay is 2.
If I run actual payroll for this PF on hiring period, there is NO issue. However because he joined after current payroll closed, so in next month we will run payroll for this guy. With my case, his previous salary is 1000 USD ( corrrect) and now is 3000 USD. So the Net pay in payslip is 4000 ( CORRECT). But the problem is Arrears in payslip, it not 1000, it show 10004610 (I guess multi 10 because of difference decimal) = 460000.
As I know, currency in Basic Pay will be used and standard for this PF, but why running retro, it multi with ratr?
Although Net Pay is correct, but if we send his payslip, he will confuse & may send why& why. Could you please help me to explain me why? and where I can check decimal ( I just found INR in V_CURX not USD).
Your good answer will be appreciated!
    Please help me!
    Regards!
    Woody.

    Dear experts!
Please help me to solve my problem above?
And could you please just guide me how SAP retro in first period ( Hiring or rehiring) that employee is maintained in other currency not default currency & bring this value into next period?
I am looking forward to receiving your replies!
I already try to check the operation: ADDWTD1009 -> the value will be count as I mentioned in entry above, but when I use ADDWTE1009, the value is correct. Could you tell me the special logic when update value into Difference Table? maybe I guess there are some exceptions especially employee's currency deffer with Default currency.
    Regards!
    Woody.

  • Payslip display issue for retro periods of a wage type

    Hi,
we have an issue with payslip display for the rate field of an wage type.
we are genaearting the amount of a wage type 2000 using T511K constant. and we have changed the Rate of this constant in the mid of pay period.
if we have split in WPBP then we are getting payslip display for old and new rate. which is fine.
however if we don't have WPBP split for retro periods then payslip is clubbing the old and new rates hence the diaplay is wrong.
ex: wrong dispaly for retro periods (08/2009 one record with RTE as 6 and for 09,2009 another record with RTE as 6)
    wage type          rate             number      amonut
2000                   12                2                12      (rate should be 6 however it is diaplaying 12 as taking rate of 08 & 09,2009         periods where it is comg as 6+6=12 which is wrong)
    right dispaly should be
    wage type          rate             number      amonut
    2000                    6                   2                12      (rate should be 6, i.e 6*2=12)
    Thanks
    Gayathri

    Hi Gayatri,
First check the values in payroll log or RT table. If its displaying correctly in RT table and if its problem with Payslip, then ask the abaper to debug the program.
Also check the WPBP table in RT table, because as you told that if there are any changes in the mid of the month, then the amount may split.
And if you have written any PCR for this, then check the PCR, whether its overwriting with any values.
    Just check the above points.
    Thanks & Regards

  • Retro Postings issue

    Hi,
    scenario:
June Month- Payroll Run  ( RT generated) and Posting NOT done( missed).
July Month-  Some Retro Changes done for June master data and July Payroll is Run( RT Generated) . Thereafter Posting is RUN for July and is successful.
Question: If there is no Posting for June Month , how come the Posting document of July is coming correct ( which contains retrospective June changes). My understanding is that if the Posting for an EE is missed for a particular month( in this case June) then subsequent month postings which has this month as retroaccounted - for period- ( here June), then system will not post.
    Pls help me to understand.
I have used the DEV environment and have used the Simulation posting of July. for May Month I have the Live posting results in RT with Document as Posted. As stated earlier there is no Posting result of June as user missed it.
Also previous  financial periods are open and have not been closed.
    Thanks,

    Hi,
What Naik is said is right.
Here posting of payroll results means we are showing the cost for the particular Cost center with the appropriate G/L account for the Accounting purpose only.
If you don't run live run in the month of june, then in the month of July it will run for the retro and in the July posting two months payroll salary will come. Once you run the payroll live run means system confirm that salary credited to Employee for this maintain Bank A/c (mode of payment from IT 0009) and it won't check whether it is posted to FI or not.
    Need any clarifications revert back.
    Best Regards.

  • Need help in Payroll Tax Balance Issue - Urgent

    Hi,
Please help me with the following Tax and Balance issue. The system is on 12.0.3, South African Legislation.
Issue : Salary has been restructured from Basic Salary to Total package structure in Dec 2008. Retro Pay was used to pay the difference amounts in Dec Run. But while configuring the new Elements for this Total Package they have missed out adding the Retro Elements to Proper Tax calculating Balances.
Eg : "TP Salary" element is fed to "Taxable Income RFI" balance but "TP Retro Salary" element is not fed to this balance.
So tax has not been calculated for those Retro amounts. This has been identified while validating test run for IRP5 tax certificates.
The Feb 09 (Feb is the Tax year End for payroll) Payroll was already run on 10th and payments were already done. Now we need to tax the retro amounts and retrieve the balance tax amounts from Employees.
I added the proper tax balances to those Retro elements and and the balances were adjusted to add the Retro amounts. Then I ran the Feb run the payroll again as of 20th, it did not recalculate the tax.
How to recalculate the tax so that correct tax reflects in the Tax certificates? Please help me with the necessary Info.
    Thanks,
    Sri.

    Hi,
As I mentioned earlier, I added the appropriate balances which are used to calculate Tax to Retro Elements and those Balances got updated with the delta amount but Tax was not updated. I want to know is there any process provided by Oracle using which Tax for those already paid amounts can be recalculated.
I calculated the Tax manually and using Adjust Balance form added ZA_TAX_BALANCE_ADJUSTMENT Element and given the difference tax amount in PAYE and Tax Input values and saved the form. The Tax got updated.
    Tax_ASG_RUN - 15000
Tax_ASG_TAX_YTD - 153257.32 (Prev - 138257.32). When I run the IRP5 (Tax Certificate Process) the tax is also getting correctly on it.
But client wants Oracle to calculate the Tax for those retro amounts so thats the challenge.
Could you help me with this.
    Thanks,
    Sri

  • Ireland Payroll - Issue in Tax Refund for Leavers

    Hello Payroll Experts,
    Greetings!
We are having problems for 2 of our Ireland Based Employees.

=> While running the November Month Payroll, this employee has been
picked by the payroll again & the system is calculating the Retro and
have given the wrongly calculated days back (21st Oct - 31st Oct'08).

  • ISSUE in basic pay arrears wage type for new joiners

    Hi Experts,
I am facing an unusual issue as after executing payroll for new joiners from previous month(example: joining date 25.01.2015 & payroll execution date:28.02.2015) results not reflecting arrears wage types of basic pay but reflects /552 wage type and /ZF5 PF arrears wage type.
But this issue is not happening in case of salary revision or other action which affects salary from retro date ie. basic pay arrears wage types are reflecting in RT table.
Already analyzed similar existing discussions in the forum.
Kindly help me to get it resolved.
    Thanks & Regards
    Bindu...

As mentioned earlier check the parameters for payslip to bring the arrears on payslip, For your reference check the below image where similar case employee is joined in the month of January and payroll is executed in the month of Feb with arrears same wage types will appear on payslip this is standard functionality of SAP you can find out in the image with * with out * * indicates arrears.
let assume your basic pay is XXXX when arrears are there then another line appears with *XXXX indicates arrears similar to your case joined in the month of January and payroll executed in the month of February then one month arrears appear on payslip like above for each wage type.
This is completely integrated with payslip design and PC00_M40_CEDT parameters which we are using for Remuneration statement variant.
    I hope you understand.

Is this issue in the live production system? Person left in August, but you only became aware of it in November?I am not too sure what can be done in this case, Schema GRET works for us only if retro is restricted to one period i.e if you are running November payroll, it should only retro for October.
If you facing this issue in test system try running October payroll using schema GRET. I will think about this some more in the meantime.

    Retroaction and End of Year
    Purpose
If you need to use retroaction over end of year, for example when overtime entered in period 12 is to be paid in period 1, or backdated pay increases applied in the new tax year are to start in the previous tax year, you can do this without this changing any statutory balances in the previous tax year.
    Process Flow
If you make any changes over end of year that trigger retroaction, this will not affect the statutory balances in the previous tax year.
However, a change that affects total gross, for example, will be recorded and summed into a wage type called /A01 (Total Gross). The /A01 value will feed a wage type called /Z01 (Total Gross), which will be passed across to the new tax year, ensuring that any retro differences will only affect statutory cumulatives in the new tax year, but will not compromise period 12 statutory cumulatives that may already have been used for end of year reporting.
The following wage types were introduced to enable retroaction over end of year:
    u2022     /A01
    u2022     /A12
    u2022     /AMP
    u2022     /AP0
    u2022     /AP1
    u2022     /ASP
    u2022     /Z01
    u2022     /Z12
    u2022     /ZMP
    u2022     /ZP0
    u2022     /ZP1
    u2022     /ZSP

  • Retro in Offcycle Payroll

    Hi,
We have made a modification in one of the offcycle payment wage type.
The issue is that this wage type has been paid during the offcycle period of April 2009 as well. We have ran retro calculation but the system is not taking retro for the offcycle payment.
    Please help.
    Regards
    Spardha

    HI
    Thanks for your reply.
I tried the same but their is no change.
I have taken the following steps:
    1. I have made the change in the Wage type cumulation for Ann non perk amount (/134) so that it can be included in the PERK CALCULATION.\ in Function INHRA
    2. I have delimited the entry for wage type from 01.04.2009 & ticked the PC 34 for cumulation into /134.
    3. This payment was made in the April 2009 offcycle run. I have ran forced retro from this date but I am unable to see the result in INHRA.
Please can you guide me any further.
    Regards

  • HIRE Employee prev to the retro accounting period in payroll record

    Hi All,
I have an issue when I try to hire an employee in the system. The system doesn't allow me to hire any employee before Nov 2009 as the retro accounting period for that payroll area is dated to 11 2009.
The retro accounting period changed from 10 2005 to 11 2009, when it did not change for any other payroll area.
Can anyone suggest a solution as how to hire an employee beyond this date?

in one case we can perform this activity why the user will forget to hire an employee who got hired for the previous months
U have to change the Retro date in the control record as per the isssue
ask the client to use the system accurately  other wise deleting the control record is not good practice  in some cases we can do and we have to do
but this above said shd not be the reason

  • Problem in posting Er PF Wage Types generated through Retro

    Hello all,
I am running India Payroll in ECC 6.0 with HR Package level 52.
We have revised wages for two employees in the month of June with effect from 13.04.2010.
Retro has run successfully for two months April & May and all the wage types are calculated and passed on for FI Posting correctly except Employer PF Wage Types.
I am getting error while posting wages to FI as Employer PF Contribution & Employer Pension Contribution generated for April & May are not considered for FI Posting.  Only current month values are taken into account.  Whereas I don't have any problem with Employee Contribution.  /ZF5 is generated with total of past two months contribution and also passed on to FI.
What might be the problem with Er PF Wage Types /3F3 & /3F4?
We have not posted June salary till now due to above said posting error.  Now July Payroll is also started.
Experts, please help me to sort out the issue.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Hema

    Hi,
    Thanks for quick reply.
The error is "Posting balance not cleared".
We have changed all the components including basic salary.  Payroll program has taken PF Basis correctly and calculated PF amounts, both for Employee & Employer contribution correctly for individual months.
As I mentioned for all the three months Employee Contribution is considered for FI posting through regular wage type for current month and through /ZF5 for last two months.
But for Employer Contribution only June amount is considered for posting even though the correct amounts are shown for other two months in RT (three lines for /3F3 & /3F4 each).
Due to this, total amount for Balance Sheet Accounts is less where as Expense Accounts is shown higher as Employer Contribution is not considered for April & May, causing imbalance in Accounting entries.
GL Accounts are mapped correctly.  Otherwise even the current month amount will not be carried to FI.
    Hope my explanation is clear.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Hema
