Return Option after drill down in the DB

Hyperlink on fields to be enabled only after drilling down

Hello,
I am facing a issue with drill down on OBIEE 10g. The issue is as below:
We have a geography hierarchy - Theater -> country -> state -> city.
Summary report for Orders will have the total $ value for the entire month. The summary report starts from the theater level and user can drill down to the city level Total $.
User wants a hyperlink on the total$. When user clicks on the $ value it should take the user to a detail report, that will show the individual orders that make up the total $.
But the User wants the hyperlink to be enabled only when he has drilled down to the city level.
Is there a way to achieve this? Please let me know.

Hey,
there is a way to achieve that but it's not pretty instead of drill down create four reports top report only theater and total second theater,country and total third report theater,country,state and total and the final report all the 4 and total and keep navigate option on each reports in the final report hyper link total if the user is ok with this way try it.

WAD Button control to Drill down all the Free Char

Hello experts,
Would like to know if there is a setting in WAD to include a Button where by clicking on that button would give an option to drill down on all the free char available in that particular query, please let me know if any of you have done it.

Yes i understand that i can create a button group for alternating the views. But wanted to know from the existing set of free char in the report, by including a button to drill down on all and come back to the first screen again. please help me out with the setting that can be done for this. even if i have to include all char in one of the views.

I created a line chart. Via navigate it's possible to drill down to a another report. Is it also possible to drill down via the legend icons?

   can I realize the functionality of drilling down from the charts of VC?

Crystal report reverts back to saved data after drill down

Hi,
I've created a crystal report and published it to BOE. Whenever I open the report and refresh it, it fetches recent data without any problem. But when I drill down in the report, it shows the saved data instead of showing the recent data in the drill down. If I come back to original report from that drill down again it reverts back to saved data. Again I've to refresh the report to view the recent data.
Any idea how can I fix this?

If iTunes Match is turned off, go to preferences > store>Tick box show iCloud purchases. Once done all purchased music will appear. Go to song list view, select all tracks, ctrl+click and select download from pop up.
Alternatively, go into iTunes Store > Quicklinks purchased and select not on this computer. Select download all.

It has to do with the order you enter the fields in the Business Model from Physical model! It must be the opposite way than the one you want them to be show. In your case, you must first delete both fields from your business model, then drag tham in with first the "name" field and then the "code" field.
It did work for me!

Create additional sheetes in the workbook and embed the query and drilldown to your required drilldowns. This will retain the navigation sheet for the new worksheets.

Drill Down only the Middle Row in the Row Group

Friends,
I am having difficulties in implementing drill down for one row group. This is my requirement.
The Dataset would be returning say the following columns - Eg, Account #, Admit Date, Discharge Date, Pend Reason, Pend Date, Total Amount, Comments. An Account can be pended multiple times.
We can Pend an Account multiple times. Hence if multiple records exist only the Pend Reason & Pend Date fields would be different for each row for a account. So Account, Pend Reason, Pend Date form a UNIQUE key.
I am trying to create a drill down report. I want to drill down the Pend Reason & Pend Date fields. This is possible. However, the requirement is to display the Pend Reason & Pend Date fields in the middle of the result set i.e. Total Amount, Comments
field would be coming after these fields in the report. So whenever i try to expand/collapse the subsequent fields Total Amount & Comments too get expanded/collapsed.
I am able to achieve this if i keep Pend Reason & Pend Date fields at the end of the result set. But that is not the requirement.
There is another option of creating sub report for these fields and displaying the history. However i feel that this would be very time consuming since the sub report would be called for every row in the result set.
Are there any other ways to achieve this? Is it possible to drill down these 2 fields by toggling these same 2 fields?
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for responding. I am attaching the report layout. In this Facility, User, CaseType have been grouped and rest of the fields are in Details section.
For an account with multiple entries in the dataset only the Pend Reason would be different. All the other fields would be the same. When I try to add all the fields before Pend Reason field as Parent, it is grouping till Pend Reaosn and showing even Pend
Date, Pend Days fields in individual rows.
Our requirement is to have only one row per account in the report and display multiple rows for pend reasons in its own box. for eg if there are 3 rows for account 111
Col1, Col2, Col3
111, A, 20
111,B,20
111,C,20
My requirement is to display like below.
111
A
20
B
C
i know the we can implement this by using a subreport for COl2. but it would be time consuming as it would be called for all the rows. Is there any other better options.

After using REUSE_ALV_LIST_DISPLAY to display output, user will scroll down several screens and drill-down into detail record. Upon return to list, user is returned back to top of list (row 1). How do I return user to same row position several screens down as when he did drill-down?

In REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY it fulfill your requirement automatically, in that after the user command they execute the following statement
rs_stable-row = ls_selfield-row_stable.
rs_stable-col = ls_selfield-col_stable.

Problem with the Drill down in the BeX Query Report

Hi Experts,
I have a problem when drilling down the characteristics in the BeX Report. There are nearly 125 fields (characteristics) all in Free Characterictics. After executing the Query, in the report when i am selecting one characteristic for drill down i am getting the values of another characteristic. This is not happening to all 125 fields.
Please let me know where is the problem and give me some suggestion what we can do with this.......

Drop down/drill down for the report

HI I have a requirement to have a kind of drop down menu on the heading level. So that if the data is say sales by model, on the invoice_date column, the user would have the option to look at this weeks' invoices, this months, etc.
I know there are Parameters up front to do this but they want this kind of drill down style.
Is there a way to do this in CR or via one of the add on products?

Create a formula field to display specific name for month, week etc.
Apply a group on this formula field.

I am just copying your answer, you gave in another thread, to limit the search time for other users:
italics What worked was another possible way, e.g. to maintain the SAPBWKEY in the Arcview software delivered by ESRI. Using the Arcmap -application.
-Rightclick on the respective layer, then 'Open Attribute Table'
-Press Button 'Options': Add field. Name = SAPBWKEY, 'Type' depending on your characteristic
-Next Step: Editor ( a menue you need to load into ArcMap) --Start Editing
-Then again: Rightclick on the respective layer, then 'Open Attribute Table'
-Now you can maintain values for the SAPBWKEY
-Editor: Stop Editing (save changes)
Rightclick on the respective layerData-Export data
The last step exports the modified shapes files, which can then imported to your info object.italics
