Return Order Quantity Amount

When processing a return, my users are creating the return using the full qty of the original sale. Then when processing the return delivery, they're adjusting for the actual returned amount. Wouldn't it be better to adjust for the actual returned qty on the return sales order and let the delivery/invoice qty's flow from there?

When you do return sales order with ref. to orginal bill inv. no.it will copy actual details from it,
You can change order quantity for quantity returned in order itself.
Whether order quantity is editable in sales order ?

  • Return Order Quantity as Fixed / Planned Receipt in MD04

    HI
Can anyone guide me to configure to show Return Sale Order Quantity as Planned or Fixed Receipts in MD04 transaction.
    Thanks

The MRP controller uses the display function (MD04) to review both MRP lists and stock requirements list to analyze the requirements and decide on a course of action  (company designates an individual as a MRP controller and MRP controller is indicated in Material Master record).
It enables the MRP controller to process the requirements and make informed decisions to change and/or approve purchase requisitions and stock transport orders thus triggering the acquiring of materials.
Your material is returnable packing material. The material is available and does not require MRP planning. There is also no need to trigger a requirement to procure the material. Hence this return does not show up in MD04 list.

  • In return order price should copy from the invoice

    Dear All,
    Greetings for the day,
We are facing with the below issue, please help to resolve the issue.
We have one discount condition type; scales have been maintained for that condition type.
    The scales are like below
    Up to 10,000 liters - 0%
    Above 10,000 liters - 5%
If the quantity coss 10,000 liters then 5 % discount will apply. If the quantity falls below 10,000, then 0% discount will apply.
In one order, quantity has been crossed 10,000 liters and 5% discount has been applied,
Customer has returned 500 liters. For this return quantity, business creating the return order with the quantity 500 liters with reference to the Invoice, then system giving the 0% discount as per the scales. It should not happen; business should get back the discount amount for the 500 liters.
The system should copy the price from the invoice instead of redetermining the price in the return order.
I have tried with the 'Pricing Type' D (Copy pricing elements unchanged), but it is not working. System redetermining the price in return order.
    Please suggest resolving the issue

    Dear Saju,
    Thanks for your response,
We are also tried with the routine 'Alternate calculation type', based on this logic system will get the condition amount from invoice and multiply with the return order quantity. Based on this logic, while creating the return order the discount condition type amount calculating as excepted but if we save the return order, condition type is re-determining and overwriting with scale values.
Please suggest any idea to restrict the pricing re-determine in the return order.
    Thanks,
    Sridhar.

  • Amount on Goods receipt for return orders is wrong with movement type 653

Hi All, I am sorry if it is a simple question because i am an abap'er.
My requirement is to create return sales order (with ref.to Billing document) and deliver and PGI for the return orders. This should go to sales order stock. Accounting document should be generated for material document and the amount should be picked up from condition type (if man.cond. type exist) else from material master.
    1) Created a sales order (Bought in item cat) - Create PO (Non stock) - Receive goods (MIGO) - Create Delivery (VL01N) -   PGI (Movement type 601 and special stock indic. 'E') - Create billing document (F2 type from VF01)
So far it is good. The account document is created (PGI - cost of goods) with correct amount as desired
The next scenario is if the material is returned? This is where we are having issues
Created sales order with ref.to billing doc. (S.O: RE. Item.Cat. Return Bought in (YRBI)... this is pretty much same as bought in except few things which are YRBI  - Delivered - PGI (Goods returns. unrestricted) Movement type 653 - Problem comes here.
    a) If i put special stock indic 'E' in 'Return bought in item.cat - There is no accounting document generated for 653 movement type.
    b) if i maintain space instead of 'E' in return bought in item.cat - there is an accounting document but the manual cost is not copied to accounting document and it is picking up from material master which we dont want and The stock is not showing up in sales order.
I did my research (forum, OSS, google, and in help.sap.com) before posting here but no help.
I have checked account assignment categories for 'A' - (some post explained this) I tried changing values but no help.
I even tried changing the schedule line category to DN but no help.
I dont know what i forgot to change or check but i have tried everything what i know and from help from different sources ... still couldnt get it.
Original requirement is to make the return stock as sales order stock and this can also be returned to vendor. If there is a manual cost in return sales order, the PGI accounting document should be created with this condition value else from material master.
    My pricing settings are good.
It would be really helpful if any one guide me to configure the process or atleast if anyone tells me what am i missing... .

  • Recalculation of quantity in free goods for return order wrf to invoice

    Hello everyone,
I want to recalculate quantity of free goods category in a return order created with reference to an invoice, if the quantity in the High Level Item Category has changed.
For example, a customer bought 100 boxes of product "A " and received 10 of these for free. Then he wants to return 60 boxes. When I create a return order with reference to the invoice and change these quantity from 100 to 60, free goods item category still shows 10 boxes instead of 6.
Recalculation must be take place acording to the pricing date determination in order to apply free goods in a valid date.
    Customized features reviewing:
    1. There's not Item Category Proposal for Target Sales Doc type of the Return order, but item category of source bill type has one an is set to Pricing Type "D".
    2. High Level Item category of free goods category is relevant for billing and is set to M "Delivery - related invoices-no zero qtys (in main bath items)"
    3. Free goods category assigment has NORM as item Category Group, FREE ussage, High Level Item category is determinated for return order document type and Item category by default is the free goods category.
I will appreciate your support to solve this issue.
    Best Regards,
    Andrea Figueroa

    Hello,
    Thank you for your response.
My Discount Type of Free Goods determination is set to:
Calculation Rule: "2 - Unit reference"
Free Goods Category: "1 - Inclusive rebate (with item generation)"
Free Goods delivery control: "C - Delivery of main item is part. delivered, only with main item"
However, whatever the calculation rule is, if I change the quantity in the main item, subitem does not work.
I read about SAP Note 573598 that describes perfectly my problem, but is valid in 4.6 to 4.7 version and I have ERP version.
    Thank for your help,

  • Return order has more quantity than original order - one item

    Gurus,
In one of the original sales order (VA01 tcode) having quantity as 1 (ie one line item) and then when return order is posted against that original order using order idoc .
Return order idoc has only one quantity for that item. But return sales order created with two quantity for that item.
Any way in our process Return order is created based on original order using original to return copy control.
This is only one order got affected. We never get such a scenario in our SAP system.
Any inputs will be greatly appreciated
    Thanks

    Hello,
Please check whether return sales order is really created via Idoc message. Go to sales order header and check the created by field under sales tab.
It seems that the return sales order is created manually, and second line item (extra item) is added manually before this return sales order is actually saved, so the change log didn't appear

  • Quantity updates in return order from referenced Invoice

    Dear Gurus,
I have set  the return sales order creation with the reference of a Invoice document. Therefore when i make the return order i enter the invoice number into the reference and then make the changes with quantity as per the requirement. suppose in invoice I have 5 quantity and in the return order I make it 2 so return of 2 will take place, then i will do PGR for quantity 2 with the reference of return order and then the credit for return upto  this its working fine. But now if I want make the second return order with reference of same Invoice system will give me pop up saying that the return anf credit of quantity 2 has already done for so and so item. Then if I enter in the return sales order in the order quantity I should see 3 quantity only as the return and credit of 2 quantity already took place but here the quantity in sales order is not getting change and it is appearing 5.
I dont know where the mistake? I check the copy control also for ZTAN (invoice) to ZREN (Return) it is as follows.
    Copying Reqt - 303
    DataT - 153
    DataT - 104
    DataT - 004
    Pricing type - D
    Update Doc Flow - X
and remaining all fields are blank
Copy Control at header level ZIF2 to ZIRE
    Copying Reqt - 021
    DataT - 052
    DataT - 103
    DataT - 003
    Copy Item Number - Checked
    Complete reference  - Unchecked
Please help me how this quantity update will happen automatically?
    Regards,
    Sanjay

    Hello Dear Sanjay;
I completely understand your requirement, but this is how the SAP system works. I had already this needs and actually the system doesn't have control like this. Is this a bug ? Maybe....
We were forced to development a Z program or new routine to treat this control.
The system send a simple message including quantities, but internally the function module allow to do a return orders, for instance, how many times as you want.....
I hope you can understand the limitation.

  • Propose order quantity in return sales order

    Hello Experts,
I have a requirement where while creating return sales order with reference system should propose total delivered quantity instead of quantity in original sales order.
I tried to copy routine 151 in VOFM but after the changes proposed quantity in return sales order is appearing as addition of original sales order quantity and total delivered quantity.
    example:
Original sales order is having quantity = 100
    total delivered quantity = 45.
default proposed return sales order(with reference) quantity = 100 (here system should propose 45 not 100)
In copy routine if I change VBAP-KWMENG to 45 then in return sales order system is proposing 45 + 100 = 145 but I need system should only propose 45.
I had searched the community but no where I found the solution.
    Please help.

    Hi,
The problem is we can not go with the process i.e. to create return sales order with reference to billing document as there are many other customizations already developed on existing process of creating return sales order with reference to sales order.
So we need the solution in which return order(RE) should be created which should propose quantity as the total delivered quantity with reference to sales order.
For the reference order only delivery document is posted in the system.

  • Return/Replacement Confirmation quantity is exceeding order quantity

    Hi All,
When an R/R is replicated from CRM to ECC in the sales order the confirmation quantity is exceeding order quantity .
What can be possible reason for this behavior ?

    Hi Naval,
I can think of possible reason is rounding profile is activated on item category to round up based on the product.

  • Return Order

    Hi guru's
In my case-->Return orders"X"and "Y" both generated credit memos based on the quantity of the return order, even though the post goods issue quantity was less.  The credit memos had to be cancelled and the quantities in the return orders changed to reflect the post goods issue quantities.  So that the credit memos could be re-created for the correct amount.
Shouldn't the post goods issue quantity drive the credit memo, in the same way that the goods issue quantity drives the invoice in a sales order? Is it right?
    Please reply
    thanks

A return is a sales document used in complaints processing for when a customer sends goods back.
    Use
You enter a return in the system if the customer returns damaged goods, or goods that had been delivered for sale on approval.
The return causes the system to:
Register the receipt of goods using a returns delivery, and post the goods to stock (for example, blocked stock).
Create a credit memo, once you have checked the goods and approved the complaint.

  • Return Order - Excise Invoice

    Dear SD Gurus,
This scenario is related to Return Order - Excise Invoice.  In return order first we will create return Order (with Ref. to Billing Document) - Return Delivery- Billing.
Now I require clarification on Excise Invoice returns.  How to cancel the Excise Invoice especially in Return Order.
My Client Requirement is as follows.
I raised normal order of 10 items, Delivery, billing, Excise invoice and Updated in RG1 also.  Now the question is if the same order came as return of 2 items.  I can raise the return order with ref. to the above order.  I can handle up to billing.  But my point is how to cancel the Excise invoice and Updated RG1 for the 2 items (Which was returned).

    Hi,
Follow the same process like return sales, once u get the billing doc, go to J1IH, create with ref to the billing doc.
the excise valuess will be reversed.
To give customer credit, choose Additional excise so that you will have the option of Modvat Account Selection at the bottom screen. Choose whichever account you want to be adjusted and proceed.
Similarly, for debiting cenvat entries, choose Other Adjustment and here again, you have the option as to which book account the amounts should be debited. Choose the appropriate one from Modvat Account Selection tab and proceed.
If you are not sure and clear on the above explanation, please sit with FI consultants and proceed.
    Return Sales Flow:
    Incase of Return Sales Order:
    T.Code for copy control: VTAF
    Source Document: F2
    Target Document: RE
    Item category REN
Considering the above settings are done:
Create return sales order RE (with Reference to Billing Document) & the data will be copied as it is in Return Sales Order - RE. For Eg: here you require to change to quantity from 10 to 2, as you want to take back into Inventory of only 2.
    Incase of Return Delivery:
    T.Code for copy control: VTLA
    Source Document: RE
    Target Document: LR
    Item category REN
Considering the above settings are done:
Create Return Delivery through T.Code VL01N & do PGR (Post Goods Receipt). This will add the stock to blocked stock. This will take care of Inventory.
For updating of excise related sales returns, run T.Code J1IH and do the following:-
    Customer Credit
Choose the u2018Additional Exciseu2019 input the original excise invoice reference, document year, company code, plant and excise group and execute. There input manually what value you need to give credit and save.
    Cenvat Debit
Choose u2018Other Adjustmentsu2019 and here also, maintain the datas whatever you input as above and save.
    Incase of Credit Memo:
    T.Code for copy control: VTFA
    Source Document: RE
    Target Document: Credit Memo
Item category G2N (Check in System)
First in VA02, remove the Billing Block in Return Sales Order - RE & save the document. Now in T.Code: VF01, enter Return Sales Order Number & select the appropriate Billing Type (Credit Memo) & Enter& Save. This will create Credit Memo.

  • Programmatically assigning pricing condition to Return Order

    Hi Experts,
    I have the following requirement:
Assigning a Z pricing condition to Return Order based on certain logic. I am doing this through the user exit USEREXIT_PRICING_PREPARE_TKOMP in program MV45AFZZ. I am filling up all the details in the structure XKOMV. This works but not the way it should.
In VA01/VA02, when the user puts the quantity in the line item and presses enter, the amount and net value doesnt get updated. When he goes to the conditions tab (item level), and presses enter again, the amount and the net value get correctly updated.
Please let me know why is this happening, do I need to pass values to another structure as well?
Look forward to your replies ASAP.
    Thanks in advance!
    Regards
    Vicky

    HI ,
Yes it is because of user exit .Try to use another user exit or create one enhancement spot then it work perfect.

  • Report for open orders and amount of product confirmed

    Hi All,
Can some one give me an idea on a report which shows open orders and also shows amount of product confirmed against these open orders?
    Thanks,
    Neelima.

    Hi Veni,
Incomplete order are the order's in which some data is missing so that particular order can't be further processed, that is what you could check through "Incompletion Log". Whereas Open orders are the orders which are open for further processing viz. deliver billing(but open order is a complete order i.e. no data missing).

  • Free goods issue in return order

    Dear Guru's
Please help to resolve the below issue
We have Free goods process, If customer is ordered 10 goods will give 1 as free good total quantity 11 for this I have maintained the condition record, I have created a sales order for total quantity u2013 100 + 10 free goods = 110 when ever I have entered the main item (line item #10) system automatically proposes the free goods quantity in line item # 20, Out this hundred quantity customer has returned 50 quantity so I have created return order with reference to invoice so in return order  both line items have been copied with actual quantity (100 + 10 Free goods). So I changed the main item quantity as 50 (because customer has returned only 50 quantities + free good (for 50 items) 5 = 55)
Here my requirement is when ever I have changed the main item quantity in return order system is not calculating the free good proportionately as per the free goods condition record.(for 10 item 1 item is free)
Ex:- when I have changed the return order main item quantity as 50 still free goods showing as 10 only(in line item #20) (which is for 100 quantity)
What customization is required system should update free goods proportionately as per the free goods condition record in Return order.

    Hari Krishan
