Return PO with delivery  (Movment type 161)

Hi Guys,
I created a Return PO (the Return indicator is checked in the PO) for an inventory Material. No Comfirmation Key is maintained,
I tried VL10B and saw this PO appears there.Created an outbound delivery , Pick TO and Did PGI ( Generated a Material Doc with mvt type 161), and send it to the vendor?
And when we get the replacement parts from the vendor against return PO , I tried to do GR using Material document for return PO) I get below error?
While doing the GR (MIGO) for this PO, system issues message:
Document XXXXXX does not contain any selectable items.
Why I can't do GR for this Return PO in MIGO? Is this a bug?
Anything to do with Vendor / Material Master setup?
I am on ECC 6.0
Thanks
Kodali

    Hi,
When i post a good receipt (movment type : 161) for a PO (PO with Return items), i have this Error Message :
" Account 61522200 requires an assignment to a CO object "
Note : in this GR i have already : Profit center, Funds center and Order (CO objects)
So please what could be the reason ? and how to resolve it ?
    Please advise

Please check first the field status of the account in FS00. If this account requires CO object as mandatory then check whether a cost element is created or not , this error normally occurs when CO object is mandatory but relevant cost element is not created.

Goto OKB9 :   The u201CChage View u201CDefault account assignment: Overviewu201D appears. Enter the company code, cost element, and default cost object. The cost object could be a cost center, internal order or profit center.

  • Vendor returns with delivery(new delivery type)

    Hi,
I configured vendor return process with delivery. it's working fine with delivery type RLL but when I try to copy "RLL" and create new delivery type it's still picking delivery type "RLL" and not the new delivery type.
    My configurations
    1. Create new delivery type copy of "RLL" - LE - shipping - new delivery types
    2. Assigned new delivery type to all the plants - MM-Purchase- purchase order - return orders.
    Am I missing something?

I found the missing config. delivery type determination for outbound delivery was missing. It's working fine now.

  • Cross Company Return With Delivery

    Hi friends,
I am trying to setup a return process with delivery between two companies using two-step procedure.
Currently Company A purchases products from Company B with a PO document copied from standart PO document NB.
When saving the PO a delivery is created automatically. (we use automatic delivery creation but it is optional indeed)
Supplying plant, here the company A, makes goods issue using VL02N.
Receiving plant, here the company B, then makes the goods receipt against outbound delivery using MIGO.
The delivery type used here is copied from the standart delivery type NLCC and the delivery item is copied from standart delivery item NLC. This is the forward process.
The movement types here are 643 (GI from supplying plant), 101 (GR to the receiving plant)
In fact I made the return process with a one-step procedure.
I assigned a return delivery type, copied from standart delivery type NRC, to the PO document in customizing returns to vendor.
And then I made the automatic delivery creation customizing for the PO document within related shipping point.
After customizing steps completed I tested the process.
When I save the PO, the delivery is created automatically with type NRC.
In transaction VL02N, I see the "Save Goods Receipt" button because this is one-step.
The goods receipt and and goods issues takes place at the same time in the same document  when I push that button.
The movement types are 675 (GR to the supplying plant, A), 161 (GI from receiving plant, B)
Here my question is to realize this return process with two step.
What steps should I follow to make this change? What can be missing?
Is it obligatory to check the "return item indicator" in return PO?
Related threads are helpful but I didn't understand which movement types should be used in two step procedure and how and where can I determine that?
Below link says the two step procedure should be done with 673 but
    http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/ERPSCM/Returnwithdeliveries
How can I set this up?
    Thanks in advance,
    Yusuf Gezer

    Hi again friends,
I found the answer to that question.
The customizing that below path shows how the movement types are determined during VL02N.
IMG -> Sales and Distribution -> Sales  -> Sales Document -> Schedule Lines -> Define Schedule Line Categories.
In my question, existing movement type has been set  as 675 for "Movement Type 1-Step" field in related schedule line category, which is assigned to delivery item used.
(Delivery item is also assigned to delivery type)
In same customizing, also there is a field named "Movement Type" just upside of the previously mentioned field. It has been also set as 675.
Changing this "Movement Type" field, I mean upper one, to 673, the process becomes two step.
    That's it, everything works fine.
However, this change may affect many processes using the same schedule line category.
That means, if you copy the existing delivery schedule lin category, you'll need a new delivery item, and a new delivery type to use, for your system not to be affected.
    Thank you.

  • Difference between Return Po and Retuning with 122 movement type

    Dear Experts,
i need some clarification on Return Po and retuning goods with 122 movement type in the context of Excise invoice.
in our previous company we used 122 movement we capture excise invoice with J1IS and referring the incoming excise
and return the material to vendor.
in present company we are directly doing return Po and capturing excise invoice with J1is,here we are not capturing against the
    incoming excise,please clarify me.
    Regards,
    Varun

    Hi,
    Refer the below thread:
    Difference between 102, 122 and 161
In terms of stock movement, both 122 and 161 represents the return delivery to your vendor. The difference takes place in terms of how you are returning your delivery to your vendor - It is movement type 161 that SAP will automatically propose if your return PO is referenced. Otherwise, 122 movement type will be used instead.

You can ask SAP AG why it was designed this way - I already told you my explanation I have no better thoughts.
Just remark: WM-mvt 601 is not only related to sales process. Just check the WM/IM interface and you will see it (e.g. IM-mvt 261, IM-mvt 541 are assigned to it). I think it generally means outbound delivery process.
If the stock is not in the right place and system cannot find it based on the search strategy you use, you have to enter the data manually.

  • Intercompany STO with Delivery & Billing- Return STO

    Hi Everyone,
Currently I am doing Intercompany STO with Delivery and Billing, which is working perfetly fine.
We create 1 Purchase order for 1,00000 LB and it will be finish after 6 months ( we provide schedule to supplying plant weekly for next 6 month, how much they have to ship ) Some times we received less quantity from supplying plant lets say weekly they have to sent 100 LB but they sent only 85 LB in last week of month and I have to close the sales.
In this can I use Return STO process ? I dont want to adjust quanity in next shipment because I have to close sales.
Some times at the time of GR we found that they have send 85 qty and sometimes we finished GR and Invoice then we get to know later that qty was less.
    Return process
    - Create return PO with Returns check in PO (NB)
    - Create delivery , Vl10B
    - PGI
    - Credit memo
    is this right process?
    Thanks
    Shree

Slight change in your return process.
    Your Return process.
    Return process
    - Create return PO with Returns check in PO (NB)
    - Create delivery , Vl10B
    - PGI
    - Credit memo
    Correct process :
    - Create return PO with Returns check in PO (NB)
    -GR with 161 MVT  type
    - Create delivery , Vl10B
    - PGI
    - Credit memo
    Returns :
Case 1 - At the time of GR
Case 2 -  GR and Invoice both done
You can follow same process to the both scenarios as you are creating new PO for returns.

  • Returns Process - movement type 161 and 122

When I do returns process with help of movement type 122 then it picks stock from "blocked stock". But when I do it from movement type 161, it does not pick it from blocked stock. I have checked transaction OMJJ and found no major difference in settings.
I want to pick the stock from blocked stock from returns process. Please let me know the setting?

    hi
    Steps are as follows
    1. Create return purchase order
The return purchase order is exactly the same as standard purchase order except the return flag. Go to transaction ME21N and enter orgnization info, material, vendor and tick the return flag.
    2. Review requirements
Reviewing stock requirements will help determine timing/urgency for allowing normal process to replenish returned items or whether a PO must be created immediately. Go to transaction MD04, the new created return PO is listed as an MRP element.
    3. Create delivery document for Return PO
This step is executed by warehouse clerk and generate delivery note, transfer order for return PO. Go to transaction VL10B and choose create delivery in background. The delivery doc will be created automatically.
    4. Picking Confirmation
If the storage location is managed by warehouse, an open transfer order is also created. You need to confirm transfer order before posting good issue. There are two methods to confirm transfer order. Go to transaction LT21 and choose Transfer Order -> Confirm -> Transfer Order. The other method is VL06. On the Delivery Monitor screen, select For Confirmation button. Choose confirm in the background.
    5. Post Goods Issue
Go to transaction VL02N, enter delivery number and press Enter key. On the next screen, choose Post Goods Issue button. After the good issue has been posted, the quantity of stock has been decreased. The return MRP element in step 2 is also removed in MD04.
    6. Manual Review of Pending Credits
Go transaction ME2L, enter plant, purchasing organization and choose RECHNUNG for Selection parameters. A list of open invoices including a list of items where the invoiced quantity is less than zero (Credit return) is reviewed.
    7. Create Credit Memo
Create a credit memo to vendor which relieves the liability to the vendor. Go to transaction MIRO and enter necessary information to create a credit memo. You can choose simualte button to check whether the error messages exist in the credit memo.

  • Issue in GI for shipment for movement type 161 for vendor returns

    Hi Guru's,
When we try to make the Goods Issue for the shipment in VT12...I'm geting a error message as
"Combination of Movement type/Special stock/  stock type is not possible".
And also FYI..the delivery in the shipmet was completley picked and packed and loaded.
    Please Advice.

    Check following SAP Notes:
    - Note 1090988 - Pooling: Quality inspection for return delivery not possible
Symptom - You run the ADEC special pooling process for a material in which master inspection setup is maintained.
The error message M7 361 occurs: Combination of movement type/special stock/stock type is not possible. No inspection lot can be created by goods movement receipt (GR) for pooled stock.
Reason and Prerequisites - It is not planned to deal with ADEC pooling order with quantity inspection lot. The relevant Customizing entries are missing for this process.
Solution - Refer SAP Note 1090988
    - Note 376615 - M7001: MEU5 xx 01 is missing in table T156M
Symptom - During goods receipt to a stock transport order with returns item, the system generates message M7001:
'Please check table T156M: entry MEU5 xx 01 does not exist'. or message M7361: 'Combination of movement type/special stock/stock type not possible'. The system displays the error message if you want to post the returns item from the stock in quality inspection, from the restricted-use stock or from the blocked stock to the stock in transit.
Cause  - The entry is missing in the standard system
Solution - Refer SAP Note 376615

  • Change Movement type 161 to Z61 for Returns Purchase Order

    Hi All,
I have a requirement wherein the GOODS ISSUE against the Purchase Order with the returns flag (returns Purchase Order) should call out or post with a different movement type (ex. Z61) instead of the standard 161.
Further, it should also update the PO history with the movement type Z61, and create a Credit note with reference to PO / Goods Movement document.
Is there any standard setting for this in standard customization??? If yes, what would be the setting??
Also, as this is going to be background transaction (and not the MIGO or the VL10B) based on iDoc. So can there be a possibility to use the new movement type Z61, and then updating the PO History and further Post the Credit note based on this Goods Movement in Background? Any idea on how to do it on a high level would also help.
It would be really helpful if I could get the reply at the earliest.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Ankush

    Dear Ankush,
This can be done in standard way, kindly copy the 161 movement into Z61 and we have done the same for one of our project with 961 movement and it got updated in PO history.

  • STO with delivery in 1 step (mvt. type 647) with serial numbering

    Hi,
Error message IO306 ("Movement type 647 does not currently support serial number management") is generated when I try to Post Good Issue in a delivery with movement type 647 (stock transport order with delivery in 1 step).
Does anyone know how to solve this error?
In the SAP notes 213328 and 323992 to solve this kind of error with other movement types is proposed to maintain the V_T156SY concerning T156SY-VRGNG_S or T156SY-VRGNG_H in some of the entries, but I don't know the proper entries to solve this with movement type 647.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi
If you are getting the Same error for Movment type 647 then maintain the entries similar to 641, but instead of PMS1 & PMS5 maintain ****
but i feel that this maintenace is not required for 647 movemnt.
    Thanks & Regards

3, checked "Return vendor" on the Purchasing segment for vendor
4  Assign vendor on customer master  (under vendor master general data's control section)
    Hope it will help
