Return Reason Codes Generating Multiple Invoices

When creating a credit memo in order entry, we often have product returned on an order for several reasons (i.e. one item is returned due to damage, another returned due to code date). When this occurs and the order is autoinvoiced, it creates a separate invoice for each reason code on the order.
Is anyone aware of a set-up parameter that would eliminate an invoice being generated for each reason code, and allow the entire credit memo to only be one document?

Hi priyeshosi ,
If you use function modules start with GUI_* or  WS_* in your report , then you can't generate the spool.
reason for this, Please check this link,

  • Generate Multiple Invoices in One PDF

    Hi,
I have requirement whereby I need to generate multiple invoices in one PDF file. I am using Oracle BI Publisher with Oracle APEX 4.0.2
If there is only one invoice that needs to be generated in one PDF file then I already have the solution whereby I print the APEX page item session state values on Invoice Header and get the invoice line items from a SQL Query in my RTF template.
However how to the do the same when multiple invoice needs to be generated in one single PDF file ?
    Any pointers will highly appreciated.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Ashish

Once you've got the query returning multiple rows, then just add a repeating group to your report (if an existing report, just select the section of the document that will repeat -> add-ins menu -> insert repeating group...; or right click selection -> BI Publisher -> Create group...), wherein the column values exist. You can even specify a page break at the end.
By the way, this question is probably more suited for the {forum:id=245} forum.

  • Return Reason codes/ Reversal Reason Code

    Good Morning SAP Gurus',
I want to configure reason codes when handling return checks (NSF's).  I don't know which node I should or shouldn't use in this case.  I have something called Return Reason Codes and Define Reasons for Reversals.
I believe the typical method in handling NSF or return checks is FBRA and assign a reason code but I would also like to somehow systemically add a return fee to the customer account.
I don't recall where or how that was done.
    Any insight?
    POINTS AWARDED.
    Thanks!

Where will you want to put the return reason code ? is it a global code for a return document or detail code ? I mean store in the row detail.
I suggest to create it in the row line. you can use available one or create a UDF. If you want to use it a mandatory, just develop store procedure or set it as mandatory.

  • How to generat multiple invoices based on per employee/contractor/services?

    Hello Experts / Dina,
I am in situation where customer is in business of body shopping and charges to his final customer based on individual invoice / per employee /contracor & customer services. This was happening in legacy system but after the implementation of Oracle Project costing and Oracle Project billing, customer is not able to generate invoices per employee services. Rather consolidated invoices are getting generated.
How to achieve this functionality in oracle project billing?
Lets take example - On Project P1 for customer ABC, 3 below employees are working on different task for 3 months.
Now after one month employees have been billed as shown below.
    Emp 1 - 1000 USD - for 100 Hrs
    Emp 2 - 2000 USD - for 200 Hrs
    Emp 3 - 1000 USD - for 50 hrs
Now @ end of the month when invoice is getting generated is 1 invoice including 3 lines of amount total 4000 USD. There is problem; customer wants that there should be 3 different invoices per employee shoud generated based on above mentiond 3 diff lines for customer ABC.
I guess with oracle projects billing - You can split the invoice based on Accrue through date ( which is not possible in this case ) and agreement ( which is also not possible in this case ) and different currency ( which is again not possible in this case) - I may be wrong when saying it is not possible. plz correct me if I am wrong.
even I guess billing extension wont work. So is there any way to achive this?
Right now only option i am thinking is let single invoice of 4000 USD with 3 different lines should pass to AR and while priniting the invoice customer can create 3 diff prints which includes individual lines. and while applying receipts on the single invoice in the system, customer can apply the receipts to indivual lines.
but I am not sure about AUDIT issues.. Can some one think about any AUDIT issues comes to this approch or issues with TAX rounding amount issues ?
Infact I would like to solve this issue with the help of Oracle Projects billing and not with custom invoice print program. I guess someone from you experts can figure it out to generate muiltple invoice based on employees / suppliers / contractors / materials etc.
A suggestion on Extension / customization / seeded functionality of Oracle Project billing on thi issue would be gr8 help.
    Please help.
    Thanks

    Hi Dina,
First of all thanks for your update :-) Your solution looks much promising.
I thought of using billing extension but rejected on the ground that I would end up in generating events based on employee for their corsponding billig amounts so finally generating a consolidated invoice only in One GDI run. But what i was missing was pre-processing extension and running the extention in loop based on employee count.
I am fully sure business would not have any issues of auto approving and releasing invoice upon generation. But my question is "is it possible to just approve the invoice & not release it using auto approve and release extension?" The reason is I think when GDI runs it only deletes Unapproved invoice & spare Approve invoices. - So please suggest.
Also please validate my understanding about your solution with an existing example -
As with the current example, there are 3 EMP presents so need to run GDI 3 times and develop pre-processing ext in a such a way that at each time it will put on hold on all the billable items except EMP1, and EMP2 and EMP3 on each consecutive run respectivly. And ensure that Auto Approve and release extension should be used in order to avoid overriding previously generated invoice? Am I right ?
Many Many thanks for solution !!!

  • Two deductions for invoice with same reason code posted as one line item

    Hi
We have a scenario wherein we are taking two or more deductions on the same invoice and are using the same reason code which have a setting of charge off.
SAP system displays the FI posting with same reason codes with charge off setting as one line item.
However we want the FI Posting to display separate line items per deduction and not combine amounts of deductions based on same reason code with charge off setting.
    Any comments are appreciated.

    Hi,
you can use different reason codes in distribute differences screen once you have fist selected one reason code for one invoice.

  • FBE1 multiple reason codes

    Dear Experts,
In FBE1, We have two reason codes for deducting amount from bill amount. e.g. Bill correction amt and TDS. However, we have tried to enter it as new item. Along with payment amt we entered TDS and clicking on new item entered the correction amt and save the document. At the time of f-28, both deductible amount clubbed together and shown under TDS GL. That was wrong.

    HI,
1 From the list of intercompany transactions, select the transaction or transactions to which to assign a reason code and click Edit.
Note: You can assign a reason code only to transactions with the MisMatched status.
2 Take one of these actions:
To assign a reason code to one transaction, from Reason Code, select a reason code.
To assign a reason code to multiple transactions, enable the check boxes of all transactions, select Edit, then Set Reason Code, select a reason code and click Set.
The reason code that you select is assigned to all the selected intercompany transactions.
3 Click Save to save the changes.

We are implementing ICT Module for HFM 11.1.2.1 for one of our client. After the reconciliation by transaction ID and by Account, there have about hundreds of transactions that do not match and they have to enter reasons code.
It seems that they have to enter reason codes transaction by transaction. Is it possible to select all the non matching transactions once and to assign the same reason code for all in one operation ?

  • How to create sales return with multiple invoices

    Hi ,
I am creating a sales order return with reference of billing document using FM SD_SALESDOCUMENT_CREATE, if i give one Billing document as a reference document it is creating document perfectly.
But my Requirement is to create one Return sales order with multiple invoices.
I tried to pass reference document no's in Item level , but it take first reference document number only , for that reference document only return is creating.
Can you any one help me how to create this.
    Thanks in advance
    Swapna.

    Hello Venkat,
As I know it is not possible to create a single return order for multiple invoices in the background.
It is possible in the foreground by following the below steps.
    1) Goto VA01 --> enter the Sales order type and Sales area.
    2) Press F8 or click on create with reference, provide the first invoice.
    3) Now the main screen would appear, displaying line items from Invoice1.
    4) Without going back, again goto path, Sales document -> Create with reference
    5) Enter second invoice2. and the items from invoice2 will also appear in the Sales order line item.
------ Enter as many number of invoices by repeating the above step--------------------
    6) Press save, so one sales order is created for multiple invoices.

  • Multiple Invoices

    HI All
Order created with Multiple deliveries on same day.. but Multiple invoices are created.
Payment terms and Payer are same..
    Shipping point is also same
What would be the reason for causing multiple invoices
    Regards
    Srinivas

    Hi,
There can be many reasons for the same.
The easliest way is to check the split analysis. Go to VF03, input one billing document number and click Environment --> Split Analysis , the system will ask for the other billing document number for the analysis. Provide the other billing document number and click OK. the system will give you the split analysis log.
If this doesn't help, then check the copy control setting, analyse the 'Data VBRK/VBRP' routine number.

  • SILO invoicing , we need to generate  mulitiple invoices

    A.  Customer order:     Customer will release a one line order for one full silo system.
    B.  While shipping  each silo requires multiple trucks (normally 5 to 10 trucks), so we need to generate multiple invoices based on number of trucks required,
so the sales order is booked for the sub-assemblies of the silo, that go in to each truck and invoices are generated  for sub-assemblies as per items loaded
on to each truck.  Our customers is not agreeing to this type of invoicing, they expect that our invoices should be as per  their purchase order reflecting the description in the purchase order.
    C.  We need to book sales order exactly as per customer purchase order, should be able to generate multiple invoices, with indication of the lot no.  Order should be closed after the final invoice.
Please refer the example shown in the attached file and suggest a solution.
(We do not want to go for Project systems option as we are following MTS scenario, we need to have our  stocks to be free stock)

    Hi,
You an use partial delivery concept maintained at customer master as well as in sales order.
Create one sales order for 1000 quantity for ex.
Create multiple deliveries as per the truck load and invoice it . Every delivery you have different lots number or you can have batch split also.
Once the complete quantity is delivered and invoice the order status will change to complete automatically

  • Multiple reason code in payment advice

We have requirement to put multiple reason code at the time of cash application which we can do manually via f-28 and via payment advice
F-28 is working fine but payment advice is not
    Steps
    Booked AR invoice of $1000
Create payment advice of $1000 with below line item and reason code.
AR Cr 200$ with reason code p1
AR Cr 300$ with reason code p2
AR Cr 400$ with reason code p3
AR Cr 100$ with reason code p4
    Apply cash using payment advice.
    Issue
The first line of payment advice is booked as on account AR Cr 200$ without reason code p1 and residual is created for  other 3 lines
I am expecting the result should be that it should create residual for all the 4 lines with correct reason code.
    Expected result
AR Cr 200$ with reason code p1
AR Cr 300$ with reason code p2
AR Cr 400$ with reason code p3
    AR Cr 100$ with
Is it something i am missing at the time of creating payment advice or applying cash.
I tested and had issue with the first item of payment advice. There should be something I missed in the payment advice creation .
    Thanks in advance for help.

    Hi,
What you could possibly do if the reasons for rejection are similar for each lot is to create these combinations as UD codes and assign them to your selected set. Else you could record the reasons for the rejection in the long text and display this long text on your reporting.

  • Return order on the basis of multiple invoice

    Greetings to All
The scenario is that the return order is to be created with reference to multiple invoice. When i am doing the same by taking the reference twice, i.e I goto Sales Document tab and click Create with Reference twice and in the second time i give different document no. which copies the line item of the 2nd invoice document. But the reference document remains the first invoice in the return process. Is it possible to do the return order with reference to multiple invoice and the reference document getting reflected in the return process.
    Regards
    Parul

I think you need to look for the reference at the item level. I guess you are currently looking at it at the header level. I am not sure if i am right. Please check if this works.

  • How to generate one invoice for a sales order with product returns

    Hi All,
I have a sales order that has been delivered and goods issue posted. Now the customer returns some of the product and I generated a Return using VA01 - document type RE, generated a returns delivery and posted a goods return.
I need to generate an invoice that will only consider the quantities that were not returned.
I have checked the sales process pertaining to returns, but all I have found consider generating a Credit Memo.
Is there a way to generate an invoice that will only invoice the quantities that were not returned? Say I sold 10 pcs, and 2 were returned, so I want to invoice 8.
    Many thanks in advance.
    Oscar

Hi Sandeep, Jyotsana, Goutham. Thank you all for your time and your replies.
What is happenning here is that there is a vendor-client relationship where there is a constant flow of purchase orders, and the orders are large.
I understand that it is standard SAP procedure, but in this case, it is not the most efficient. I have two alternatives the way I see it:
    1. Post the invoices according to SAP Standard, and then the Credit Memo.
    2. Reverse the Purchase Order.
There are disadvantages with both alternatives:
    1. I get much more paperwork than I really need.
    2. When I get the returns, the delivery, picking and goods issue have been posted, and I would have to reverse all that. Not a very good Idea I think, especially if I have a purchase order with 150 different materials and I get a return of 2 items of one material.
Again, thanks for your replies. From what you have told me I am thinking that what I'll need is to implement a User Exit or Badi.
    Best Regards,

    Hi chitsri,
The log you provided above only contains the successful authentication.
Because standard clients are working fine with NPS, I assume that this issue is caused by the embedded client.
    >>What else logs can I enable to debug further ?
We may try to perform a network capture on the NPS server. Then find out what's the difference between the embedded client and standard clients.
To download the the network monitor, please click the link below:

If we can't find any hint from the capture data, you may contact Microsoft Customer Service and Support (CSS) via telephone so that a dedicated Support Professional can assist with your request.
To obtain the phone numbers for specific technology request please take a look at the web site listed below:

    Best Regards.
