Every day I receive returned emails that I've never sent. They're often for things like Vaigra and other junk. Is my computer being used to send these emails without my knowing it? If so, how do I stop it?

Welcome to the Internet. Here, have some spam. :-)
You're either being spammed (and your mail filters aren't fully dialed in and set to ignore or delete this dreck), or your email address was forged (as the return address) by a spammer sending out messages to others and folks that don't know how to properly configure and operate an email servers are now causing collateral damage by reflecting that spam run back at you. (No spammer really wants to deal with all those bounced messages, after all.)
It's possible that your mail address has been acquired by a spammer, but it's equally possible that - if your email address has a common name or string to the left of the @ sign - that the spammers determined your address by brute force, too.
And yes, make sure your email passwords are not in the stock attack dictionaries (the list of the five or ten thousand most common passwords are widely known), and (if your ISP permits it) use SSL/TLS (encrypted) transports to access your ISP mail server. -
I keep getting returned mail from all over the world which I never sent. It seems someone is using my email to send mail. These sent messages do not show up on my computer or mail until they are returned. How can I stop this?

Your email address got hijacked, via malware, from a Windows PC that had your address in its mail application. Then the person, usually a spammer, that hijacked your address used it to send out spam. Since the spam message was sent to a large numnber of other addresses, some of these addresses are no longer valid. Therefore you got the returned mail error message. Just ignore it. Many of us get these messages. Don't worry, since there are no known malware that affect Macs like this.

TS3276 Mail Delivery Failure Msgs for emails I Never Sent
On Feb 7 I received 37 Mail Delivery Failure messages, but I never sent any of these emails. I was not even on my Time Warner email account that day. This is a recurring issue. Any suggestions?
Potential Spam. I would also change my e-mail password just in case your account has been hacked.

I forgot the answers to my securtiy questions so I had apple send me an email to reset them, however I have not recieved the email. I've tried this many times and each time the email was never sent
If you aren't receiving the email to your rescue email account (and you've checked the spam folder on it as well as the inbox) then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple in your country to get the questions reset.

Cant verify apple id because email is never sent
I have tried multiple times to verify my appleid. I have sent myself emails to see if my email was corrupted but it worked fine. I even checked my junk/spam folder and nothing. Can I please contact someone to rectify this matter because I can not download or access anything on my ipad.

See that's something I might try because apparently in my Game Center there is still my old account . And I want that one back but if I don't know what email it has I can't really get it back .

TS2755 Getting delivery failure notices for messages I never sent
How do I stop getting dozens and dozens of delivery failure notces in my email for emails I never sent? Is this spam? Or have I been hacked?
Well what is it? Google? Yahoo?
Go to safari and launch whatever website you do to check it on a computer. Then somewhere in the settings im sure you can find password. Change it on your account(webpage), then update the new password in settings/mail on the ipad. -
Bounced back emails I have never sent!
I am receiving at least 50 emails everyday from:
Mail Delivery System <[email protected]>
Mail delivery failed: returning message to sender
However, I NEVER sent eamils to the email addresses that they are bounce back from!!! What can I do to stop this?Jo-Jo ,
This sounds like your email account has been compromised, someone has used it to send spam emails out, and you are receiving those back.
ASAP change you password for the email account to something different, difficult to guess. Change the Secret Questions and Answers for your account security profile. Run virus/spyware/malware scan on your machines.
Once this is done and your email account is secure, you will probably still continue to receive those delivery failed messages for few days until its all filtered out from the spam messages that were sent from your account.

I have a MacBook and am running Mac OS X 10.6.8, I thought I couldn't get a virus but a friend recently told me she got one of those stupid link emails from me that I never sent. What can I do?
When a virus infects a Windows PC one of the first things it does is mine the PC's e-mail address book. It will then send out e-mails containing itself to addresses in the address book using another address from the address book as the sending address.
The only way you can tell where the e-mail comes from is to look at the long headers. In Mac Mail View>Message>Long Headers.
So it probably wasn't sent from your Mac but from a PC who has both your addresses in his mail . -

I sent an email using my mac book pro and later on I return the mac to the store for good. Can I still retreive the email I just sent, how? please help!
Connect the HDD to your MBP. Open Disk Utility>Erase and drag the HDD icon inrt the Name field. The format should be Mac OS Extended (Journaled). Click on the Erase button.
Then try the clone process again. You may use Disk Utility>Restore or a third party cloning application such as Carbon Copy Cloner or Super Duper.

Can anyone help me to get iCloud on my new Mac - one message has said that I do have an account and another message tells me that a verification email has been sent but it never arrives - where has it gone?
Then again, we may NOT benefit from the 'New' Instructions! My email is Verified (see Pix)
Yet on the iPod the email is NOT Verified AND the Intstuctions to VERIFY NEVER COME!

"Send as email" from photo gallery makes "woosh" sound but email never sent

Just one email account configured (exchange)
Problem steps:
- take a photo or choose one from the gallery
- tap the "Send to" icon
- select "mail"
- create the email
- touch "send"
Result: hear the "woosh" sound as if the email is sent. However, the recipient never receives it, and it never appears in my "sent items" folder.
The problem is reproducable.
If I touch "copy", then switch to the email app, create an email, then paste the photo into the email, it gets sent just fine - recipient receives it and it shows up in my "sent items" folder.
Any ideas?Put the function call 'SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1'
in a report Program & SUBMIT that report from ZXPADU02.

When I opened my email (ymail) there were over 30 failure notices for I never sent. Any ideas why?
Spammers have probably hacked your mail account. Change the password, to something much harder than it was before and see if it happens again. If it does then you may need to talk to the provider or take more aggressive action.
Usually they hack, send spam and move on.
