I have exhausted all available options and could not get my 20g Ipod to work. I finally decided to return it via the internet, but it won't let me do so. It says that my serial number is not correct. Any suggestions?

If it is a refurbished iPod, call Apple. I had a refurbished iPod once that wouldn't work. It wouldn't let me use the Serial # to register it. I had trouble convincing Apple it was mine. They kept telling me the serial # was registered to 2 other people, even though I had purchased it online from Apple. It took quite a while to get it straightened out.

How the rejected goods (at prdn) can be return from Production to stores, as the function in production of goods return is not working.( Issued production order of 10 nos, production completed for 8 nos, the remaining 2 are rejected & to be return to stores for further material accounting)

When you are receiving goods after production suppose you have to receive 10 goods out of them 8 are OK and 2 are defective then in the receipt from production form you can enter the first line item by choosing the production Order from the production order Tab below and change the Quantity to 8 which you would like to enter into the Main warehouse while in the next line item manually enter the same Production order no. and in the qty column enter the 2 no.s of Defective goods and change the Wahrehouse no. to Stores. and add the form.
Now when you see the stock you will notice that in the Stores WH stock will increase by 2.

Accounting Entries for Materials Return from Production Order

Dear Gurus,
I have a scenario here that a raw material, valuated at moving average = 151 and qty = 100, was issued to a production order last month. Due to some issue the order was not completed for a while and 93 qty was consumed for the order and because the remaining 7 were excess they were returned to the storage location. By that time the MOV had changed from 151 to 185 and the 7 qty was returned not at 151 (which would be correct) but at 185. This is a wrong accounting entry as it is showing an under consumption for the order.
Anyone have an idea why the system is doing this because the material should be returned on the price it was issued at so that the accounting entries are knocked off (The accounting entries for return deliveries to vendors are of the same price that they are recieved no matter how ever long a period they are returned). How do we stop the system from doing so and if it cannot be done what is the solution to the scenario.

The normal entires are as follows (depending on your configuration);
1) Goods issue;
Credit inventory and debit COGS;
2) Billing document;
Debit customer account credit sales accounts;
3) Payment;
Credit customer account and debit cash/ checking account

Returns from production against Process order

Can anyone suggest, how to intimate to stores department from production to receive the shop floor returns when any process order is cancelled.
Note: Here stores department should know through wich process order/reservation the material to be received. based on the reservation / intimation, stores department shall receive the material. (This transaction can be done in two steps)

Hi Ramakrishna,
You can have a cancel form which contains the Process / Production Order nos. In this form you can intimate your store whether to receive back the entire components or only selected components.
The store can then post a reversal for this using MB1A, cancel w.r.t the order specified in the form.

Return(from production) delivery to supplier

Dear Gurus,
There is a situation like this -
I have issued 100 pcs of components(RM) to production against the production order,which were been in the inventory for a long period of time,say for ex:approx 1 year. After the completion of production, they found that out of 100, 10 pcs are not in usable condition because they don't comply with the required technical specification, hence they returned it back to the store. Now i want to return these 10 pcs back to the supplier of those components. My question is how will i know the supplier to whom i am suppose to return the components back, if various suppliers had sent the same material (in this case same component from various suppliers would have stored at same place without any identification).
Pl guide me.

Follow below mention process.
1) First use MB51 t-code to search purchase order number from which u purchase material.
Enter MB51 t-code, enter your material code, plant and click on execute button.
You can see Batchwise stock, then click on change layout burron and select purchase order field in display column.
From here you can see batchwise purchase order number.
2) Then Go in ME23Nm enter your purchase order number and see vendor detail.
3) Once you got vendor detail then create Return purchase order with ME21N t-code for same vendor master.
Click on return button in purchase order.
4) Create Good receipt against your return purchase order due to this stock will be minus from your system.

After hearing and reading about the recent Creative disaster i decided to take my X-FI(P) back for a refund. I even explained to the store staff exactly why i was doing this and also due to Creative lack of? decent Vista support.
Who else took a creative prodtuct back recently? + for me and my wallet is a feeling much nicer today.
GOOD riddance to creative! 0 year customer of creative signing out.

Actually, it does. There are a number of retailers who will RMA any returns and not reshrink them. Also, retailers keep track of return rates for companies and products. If they end up losing money on products from a particular company, they will be less likely to stock them in the future (either at all or at reduced numbers).
This is why on many products you will see a notice to call the manfacturer's support line if you have issues versus taking it back to the store. They are worried about their return rate stats.

Movement code for return from Production without WBS?

Hi All
How can I return material from production without entering a WBS. Currently we use MB1A movement type 222 but we have difficulty in identifying material coming back from production. But we have to enter a WBS element. As you know, this takes the cost of the material from the WBS. If we have no WBS we cannot return it into stock.
How can I return material into a warehouse from production without entering (no reference) to a WBS? Material is issued to production using movement types 221 and 281.

Please try to use the movement types: 521 (or) 531 , to receive goods without referring Production Orders/ WBS elements.

i've decided to go to the shop cart using tag_buynow and added a continue shopping button using {module_goback,image}.
it's not the way i wanted the site to work but it's better than having clunky reloads and js not working.

It isn't clear whether you have done the calculation yet or not. If you just need to do the Formatting, Select the Cell and click on the Dollar Sign in the Format Bar.
If you need to calculate the Tax, select the cell where the tax need to be displayed and type: =
Then Click on the cell with the cost before tax, causing the cell address of that figure to be added to your formula. Then type *8%, or whatever your tax rate is, and press Enter/Return.
If your cost before tax cell was already formatted as Currency, the new cell will default to Currency.

How long do you have to return a product with a physical defect?

Hey guy i bought my Macbook pro on September 29th and noticed it had a slight defect on the back side of the screen. On the bottom right side on the laptop there is a very little pressure/Stress mark that you can see if you look at it the right way and also the screen when closed does no fit flush with the back of the laptop one side is flush were as the other side pertrudes a little bit. And one last thing is the when closing the laptop the right side of the screen hits on first before the left side. I am wondering when i should bring this back to my apple store for them to check it out. Whould it be to long if i waited after the 20th to see if the keynote contains new macs? Im hoping if i bring it in after that i may be able to get a free upgrade.

It's probably too late now. As a store manager I would find it difficult to believe that a computer that is 2+ weeks old is just now being looked at. If there were visual defects they would have been apparent immediately which is when you should have returned the machine.
