Returning only searchable properties
I wanted to create an instance of the unified tree control such that I could present a collection of properties that are currently marked as being searchable.
Is this possible with the unified tree control? When I try to create a "properties to be searched" tree in order to build a custom search query, I get back properties that are not necessarily marked as being searchable, causing a search query to bomb.
I was using ClassID 36 (Property ObjectClass ID).
I really don't want to have to reroll my own control if there's an easy way of filtering out those properties that aren't marked as searchable within the control.
Thanks,
Ari Braginsky

My recommendation would be to subclass pt:standard.tree (com.plumtree.taglib.standard.TreeTag) and mix in this functionality. It shouldn't be quite as hard as rolling your own tag . . . .

invoke-webrequest content returning only 2000 records though it has around 4000 records in web api.
The same url if I give in excel oData Data feed I am getting all the records.
See the below script
Script:
$QueryResult= (Invoke-WebRequest -Uri $ODataURI -UseDefaultCredentials)
[xml]$xmlResult=$QueryResult.content
foreach($obj in $xmlResult.feed.entry.content.properties)
$Name=$obj.Name;
$IsAvail=$obj.isAvail.'#text';
$PGroup=$obj.PGroup
I am exporting the above result as a CSV file and my CSV file contains only 2000 records.
But, $xmlResult.feed.Count --> it Shows 4000 Records.
The same Odata url if I give in excel oData Data feed I am getting all the 4000 records.
So Please help me how can I get all the records using power shell.
Thanks

Best Online JournalHi Jo Swa(K.P.Elayaraja)-MCP,
Would you please also post code which is used to export the records?
In addition, to use the cmdlet invoke-RestMethod to work on ODate feeds, please refer to this article:

I'm working on a custom Discrete Job Picklist and am trying to return the locator with the least amount of the item that is required to pick. This is working fine except when the minimum is not distinct.
Here's the bit of code that I'm working with:
and d.total_qoh = (select min(f.total_qoh)
from apps.mtl_onhand_locator_v f
where d.item = f.item)
This returns the mins but give me duplicates when the mins are the same. I'd like to return only 1 min locator per item. I've tried using a select distinct, but this does not work.
Ideally, I'd like to use the min(locator_id) to determine which locator to use should the min(total_qoh) be non-distinct.
I've tried using:
and d.total_qoh = (select *(select min(f.total_qoh)
from apps.mtl_onhand_locator_v f
where d.item = f.item
order by d.locator_id)
where rownum = 1)
But I don't think that order by is allowed in 8.1.6.1 and so it is not working. Likewise, I can't seem to get TOP N to work.
Any suggestions?
-Tracy

and d.total_qoh = (select min(f.total_qoh)

where d.padded_concatenated_segments = f.padded_concatenated_segments)
order by b.wip_entity_name, e.segment1, e.segment2, e.segment3, e.segment4; Thanks for any help you can offer.
-TracyRichard - this is yielding ora-00904: invalid column. Although I have verified that the column names are correct. I think this may have something to do with not allowing an order by in a subquery for 8.1.6.1 but am not positive. It seems that I either get an invalid column name or missing right parenthesis when using order by in the subquery.
and d.locator_id = (select locator_id
from (select locator_id
from apps.mtl_onhand_locator_v
where d.padded_concatenated_segments = f.padded_concatenated_segments
order by total_qoh desc, locator_id desc)
where rownum = 1)

Request.getParameter("checkbox") Returns only one value
Hello Friends,
I have a very urgent problem on live site. I moved my project from jrun2.3.3 to Jrun 3.1 and I was using multiple select and checkboxes.
With Jrun3.1 if you select multiple select or multiple checkboxes it returns only one value instead of all the values.
Any help is hightly appreciated.If multiple checkboxes have the same name, when selected and submitted, it will pass all values. But you will need to access those using getParameterValues("checkboxname") not getParameter("checkboxname"). The same goes for select elements.
Perhaps it was a bug in JRun 2.3.3 that allowed you to reference all parameter values using just the getParameter("xxx") method. -
Return only one record at a time
I am new to crystal reports so any help would be appreciated. I have a .net app that is a order processing system. When the user is in a record, they want to be able to click on a button an open a crystal report showing only that orders details. I created a crystal report that has the following fields:
Order ID, Product ID, Unit Price, Sell Price, Hours.
The Order ID is the primary key in the database. The report runs fine when clicking the report button in the app, but returns the details for every order in the database. We just need the details of the order that the user is processing. How do I setup the report to only show that order's details? I am using VB 2005 and Crystal v9.
Edited by: sking on Mar 6, 2009 1:12 AMBrian,
Thank you for all your help. I have been able to setup the report to return only one record at a time. In my app, when I click the report button the PDF opens perfectly with only one record. However, when I go to another record and open the PDF it returns the information from the record id that was set as the default parameter value (crReportDocument.SetParameterValue("Orders", 67). How do I get it to return the report for a different record? Here is the code I'm using. I think I'm really close with your suggestions but I'm just missing one step.

Dg4odbc 11.2 to mysql desc table issue, query return only one record
<h2>Hi,
I have the following set up:
11g R2 RAC oracle database, dg4odbc 11.2, UnixODBC 2.3 driver manager, MySQL ODBC 5.1.7 Driver on 64 bit Suse SLES 11 server.
Remote database MySQL version 5.0.67 running on 32 bit linux server.
I am having the following Issues:
1. When desc table, sometimes only the first field is shown:
SQL> desc sub_index@mybilltracker;
Name Null? Type
subject_id NOT NULL NUMBER(20)
SQL> desc "sub_index"@mybilltracker;
Name Null? Type
subject_id NOT NULL NUMBER(20)
Some other times I am able to see the correct table definition:
SQL> desc "sub_index"@mybilltracker;
Name Null? Type
subject_id NOT NULL NUMBER(20)
sess_id NUMBER(10)
sess_yr NUMBER(10)
subject_name VARCHAR2(255)
SQL> desc sub_index@mybilltracker;
Name Null? Type
subject_id NOT NULL NUMBER(20)
2. Select count(*) returns the total number of rows correctly. Select * or Select "field name" from table returns only one row:
SQL> select count(*) from "mbt_user"@mybilltracker;
COUNT(*)
2
SQL> select "user_id", "email" from "mbt_user"@mybilltracker; _(always return only one record!)_
user_id email

Has anybody seen this? Can somebody help me pinpoint the problem? Thank you!

Returning only records that have no entry in a specific field
Hello,
I'm new to this forum and relatively new to Crystal Reports, so I apologize if this information is "plain as day" somewhere. I've been hunting for this info for quite a while and can't find anything that makes sense!
I am trying to put together a very simple report that will return only records where a certain field is blank.
It is an Access database, in an information management program specific to our type of business. CR 11 software was included with the LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System), as the reports generated from the LIMS software are in CR. I've learned enough to be able to tweak reports and make some basic reports, but I can't find a simple answer to what I think is a simple question!
I have the report set up to access the following fields in the database: Invoice number, Client name, Due date, Invoice amount, and Payment Received. This will be used as a "cross check" - not as any major accounting tool - as the Payment Received field is simply the date that the payment was received. If no payment has been received, the field is left blank.
I want the report to return ONLY those records where that field is blank (i. e. a list of invoices/clients whose payment has not yet been received).
Ideally, I would also like to be able to return only those records where that field is blank OR within a certain date range (i. e. less than 30 days from the date that the report is run). However, we'll probably only use this report a couple of times a month, so that is not as critical.
I know I need to filter the records according to the Payment Received field, but don't know how to construct a formula that says "just show the fields where there is nothing entered."
Thank you!
BrendaThis is the hardest function to find: IsNull
If isNull(field) then
// if the above fails on a numberic field or text field then see the following two-some databases are picky.
If IsNull(field) or field=0 then //this one maybe needed for a numeric field
If IsNull(field) or field="" // this one maybe needed for a text field
if IsNull(field) or field=<value>
or
if IsNull(field) or field like <value*>
You always want the IsNull statement to be the first statement, and it is especially usefull when testing for not equal
If IsNull(field) or field <> <value> -
Windows 8.1 PC, using reader, when searching a folder containing approx 100 doc's. If i search for a word, no results are returned. only the doc names can be found but nothing from within the doc.
This is a new problem and was not the case before.Works perfectly fine for me with the latest Reader version (11.0.09).
You write that it worked "before"; before what? An update? Update from what version to what version? -

Share only certain properties across pages
Is it possible to share only certain properties of an object across other pages?
For example, I have a text heading on each my pages. It's in the same place and same color on every page. The actual text differs though on every page (e.g. one page says Home, another says About, etc.). Is it possible to share it the color and location across other pages, but not the actual text value?You can "cheat" this by converting one of the text objects to a button symbol. Button symbols allow for different text labels for each instance. I do this all the time. Use this symbol on all your pages, and update the label in the Properties panel.
One trick though, make sure you ad an identical Over state to the button symbol, otherwise if you preview or export an HTML prototype, the text will disappear if you mouse over it.

BAPI execution in webdynpro returns only a few records
Hi,
I'm executing a BAPI in my webdynpro application and it is returning only a few records from backend table. When i execute the BAPI in R/3 with the same input i'm getting all the records. In webdynpro i'm getting only 22 records for different set of inputs while in R/3 i'm getting all records(37,41 etc). Any help in this regard will be valuable.
Regards,
ShabeerHi,
I am invalidating the output node after execution of BAPI. The BAPI is executing properly and it is returning records also.But the problem is with the number of records returned by BAPI. As i've mentioned earlier it is always returning 22 records, eventhough the actual output contains more than 22 records(I checked this in R/3). I was told that the BAPI is calling a transaction(i don't know whether it is the problem since i am not familiar with ABAP and R/3 that much).Is it possible that webdynpro is fetching records even before the BAPI execution is complete in R/3 and hence returning partial output(I'm not sure about this thing) ?
Any help in this regard will be valuable.
Thanks and regards,
Shabeer -
EjbFindAll method returns only primaryKeys.
Hi All, Im having a problem when calling the findAll() method for my bean. It returns only the primary keys in a collection when it should be returning a collection of beans with full data. here is my EJB method for ejbFindAll() which returns just the primaryKeys which it should. Im wondering if my ejbLoad method might be f'd up?
public Collection ejbFindAll() throws FinderException
try
Connection conn = qe.getConnection();
PreparedStatement stmt = conn.prepareStatement("SELECT * FROM icountry");
ResultSet rs = stmt.executeQuery();
if (!rs.next())
stmt.close();
conn.close();
throw new FinderException("Could not find any countries");
Vector itemList = new Vector();
itemList.addElement(rs.getString(1));
while (rs.next())
itemList.addElement(rs.getString(1));
stmt.close();
conn.close();
return itemList;
catch (SQLException e)
throw new EJBException("Could not find any countries");
}you are only supposed to return a collection of primary keys. in BMP EJB development, the ejbFindAll method will return the primary key collection to the container which will then lookup the beans using those keys.
Fortuntely I figured out the problem. The ejbLoad function was not loading the other fields i needed. This solved the problem. -
Endeca returns only 15 records, while TotalNumAggrERecs = 20
Hi,
If I execute an Endeca query with a particular N-value in C#, then the Navigation query of the ENEQueryResults contains TotalNumAggrERecs = 20 and AggrERecs.Count = 15. How is it possible that Endeca returns a list of only 15 aggregated records, while the number of aggregated records is 20?
According to the Endeca Basic Development Guide, you should use
• the Navigation.TotalNumAggrERecs to get the number of aggregated records that matched the navigation query
• the Navigation.AggrERecs to retrieve a list of aggregated records returned by the navigation query
I would therefore assume that the number of AggrERecs would match the TotalNumAggrERecs.
Extra info:
• other queries (the same code, but another N-value) return results with matching result.Navigation.TotalNumAggrERecs and result.Navigation.AggrERecs.Count. Also, the printscreen above shows an exception in SyncRoot. I thought this exception causes to only return 15 records instead of 20, but this exception also occurs on queries where the both Navigation.TotalNumAggrERecs and Navigation.AggrERecs.Count are the same.
• the same query in the "6.1 Oracle Endeca - JSP Reference Implementation" tool returns 20 aggregated records.
• So far, my conclusion is that there are 20 records, but Endeca returns only the first 15. I have however no clue how to solve this. Suggestions on how to investigate this issue are very welcome!
Regards, LeonardThis question is on the wrong forum - this forum is for the Endeca Information Discovery (EID) product - you are working with the Endeca Commerce product APIs. See Technical Questions .

Regexp return only the text inside quotes
I'm looking for a way to return only what is between text in a column, or a period if it's between two sets of quotes. There could be any number of occurrences within the text of the column.
"ENC"."CHECKOUT_TIME"[DATE,7], "ENC"."PAT_ENC_CSN_ID"[NUMBER,22], "ENC"."CHECKIN_TIME"[DATE,7]
Becomes
"ENC"."CHECKOUT_TIME""ENC"."PAT_ENC_CSN_ID""ENC"."CHECKIN_TIME"
Is this something that's possible with a regular expression?Hi,
I'm not sure if that can be done with a single regular expression.
Here's a way that uses two functions:
SELECT str
, REGEXP_REPLACE ( REGEXP_SUBSTR ( str
, '("[^"]*"(\."[^"]*")?)[^"]*'
, '\1'
) AS new_str
FROM table_x
REGEXP_SUBSTR removes unquoted material before the first double-quote and after the last double-quote. -
Need help writing a MySQL query that will return only records with matching counter-parts
Since I don't know how to explain this easily, I'm using the
table below as an example.
I want to create a MySQL query that will return only records
that have matching counter-parts where 'col1' = 'ABC'.
Notice the 'ABC / GHI' record does not have a
counter-matching 'GHI / ABC' record. This record should not be
returned because there is no matching counter-part. With this
table, the 'ABC / GHI' record should be the only one returned in
the query.
How can I create a query that will do this?
