Returning to previous version of SC

Hello,
I've read several threads that say that returning on an older version of a DC is impossible as DC's don't have versions (Maybe this should be changed ?) .
However, if we have a version of an SC which has been approved , how do we return to this version of the source code once it has already evolved.
For exp : We approve and deploy SC1 1.0 in production. We then deploy version 1.1 but we find that the changes we did cause so many problems that it would be better to go back to version 1.0 and redesign.
How do we return to version 1.0 and restart development from there ?
Thanks

Hi Thierry,
if the approved version SC1 1.0 is assembled with sources I would create a new track, reimport all SCA into that track and continue development there. The old track could be used for reference purposes (what did we do wrong in 1.1? Don't want to repeat history) and I would remove all DTR write permissions on the old workspaces.
The issue basically is that you cannot really go back in time in a DTR workspace. Once there are newer versions for a resource you could only try to recreate an old state by creating a new version (with old content). If you have new workspaces (i.e. within another track) you can import the old versions there and they will be the current versions for that workspace. If that paragraph was confusing please ignore it, I get lost sometimes in those version graphs....
Regards,
Marc

The first time I attempted to install ML was on a late 2011 MBP.  It ran for three minutes then gave me the error message: Could not install OSX due to an unexpected error.  I was using the original ML install app, not a USB or other drive.
After a couple of restarts wiht the same result I saw a message to the effect that the install was trying to close open apps.  I closed apps  manually a few times to no avail.  I shut down instead of restarting then booted into Safe mode (hold down the shift key when starting) and that did it.  The install went smoothly after that.
I since installed ML in two iMacs using a cloned copy of the install app on a USB drive.  This time I shut down the computers and booted into Safe Mode first and there were no problems.
I don't know if this issue is the one causing you these problems but it is a simple enough solution to try.

  • How do I opt out of this Firefox and return to previous version?

I simply wish to return to the previous version of Firefox at this time. I am not prepared right now to learn a whole lot of new information. I would appreciate your assistance in just taking one step back at this juncture. I will update later. Sincerely,
    S. L. Yadon

On the one hand, it doesn't take long to customize the UI to match the appearance of Firefox 3.
On the other hand, it doesn't take that long to revert to Firefox 3.6, either. Here's the process to roll back:
First, I recommend backing up your Firefox settings in case something goes wrong. See [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Backing+up+your+information Backing up your information]. (You can copy your entire Firefox profile folder somewhere outside of the Mozilla folder.)
Next, download and save Firefox 3.6 to your desktop for future installation. http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all-older
    Close Firefox 4.
You could install Firefox 3.6 over it (many have reported success) or you could uninstall Firefox first. If you uninstall, do not remove your personal data and settings, just the program.
Unless you have installed an incompatible add-on, Firefox 3.6 should pick up where you left off. If there are serious issues, please post back with details.
Note: I haven't actually tried this myself!

  • How to return to previous version of mavericks

I just updated to OS X 10.92 and found that the software for my insulin pump no longer works. I must return to the previous version (10.91). I have a Time Machine backup. Can I use it to return to the previous operating system? If not, what can I do?
    Thanks to all.

If your Time Machine backup has not been updated with 10.9.2 system files, then you can. Otherwise, you can't do so with Time Machine.
What version of OS X was originally installed on your computer and what is the exact model that you have?

  • Need help to return to previous version

I use Adobe Photoshop CC. Need to know if there is any way to return to the previous status of a file . I've merged the layers , I inadvertently saved and closed , which means losing the whole process. I only saved once over .
It would be very important for me to return to the immediately previous version.

If by any chance it's Windows 7 or 8, previous versions are kept in Shadow Copy, and may be retrieved by Shadow Explorer.
    ShadowExplorer.com - About
Windows also has File History, but like Time Machine, that has to be turned on.
(might as well get that in, before I leave.)

  • I don't like Version 9 at all. How can I return to previous version?

I want to go back to version 7, which had a better layout in my opinion. The bookmarks on 8 and 9 take up so much space and seem to 'stick'.

    Hey spiderwoman,
There are a lot of benefits to running the latest version of Firefox. You should take a look at [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/common-questions-after-upgrading-firefox-36 this article with common questions after upgrading].
If you still want to roll back to a previous version of Firefox, just take a look at the Knowledge Base article [[Installing a previous version of Firefox]].
    Hopefully this helps!

  • Firefox 7.0 will not connect to internet - JUNK want it OFF my pc and return to previous version.

Upgraded to Firefox 7.0. Now it won't connect to internet. I am able to start a previous version using "run" command, however, once started both of my email accounts must be logged into. There are some issues with bookmarks also. I need to either fix Firefox 7.0 (piece of JUNK) or remove it and revert to older version. No idea how to do either.

  • Return to previous version of JEE sca in track

    Hi,
I've imported JEE sca in a track which is 7.00 level 15  080708.
Now I want to go back to a previous version but the system says it already has a higher version... its true. The version I want to import is just a previous version but same release and support pack.
I've flushed the buildspaces by changing information on the sc's in the track but still can't import.
How can I import an older sca in the track ???
    Thanks.

    HI,
You have to use a higher version of JEE SCA..
I dont think there will be any problem as backward compatibility assure the support to previous versions..

  • How to return to previous version of Firefox that is compatible with AVG Anti-virus.

I just upgraded to Firefox 6(?) as instructed when I logged-in, and now my AVG anti-virus doesn't work. I have paid for it and need it to work. You had no warning about this on the screen for the update. So you need to tell me how to go back to the previous version of Firefox. (I searched your support site, and found notice that this incompatibility is indeed true, but not about what to do, except to stop using Firefox.) Please help. ASAP.

    Web-browsers supported by Kaspersky PURE 3.0 is "Mozilla Firefox 12.х - 23.x."

    So two options
    *wait for update
    *Downgrade to 23 (not recommended)

  • How do I return to previous version of Firefox, from Firefox ver.4.0?

This version does not work properly with my isp provider? What more details do you want?

You appear to be using Firefox 3.6.23, which is the earliest secure and supported version of firefox. You may not have up to date plugins, use http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/plugincheck/ to check and update your plugins.
It can not be recommended that you try any earlier unsupported and insecure versions of firefox, that would put your computer and the personal data it contains at risk.
After you have updated post back, if you have problems with a publicly accessible site pleas provide a link, and explain what the problem is. (It is probably worth checking any forums or faqs relating to problematic sites)

in the previous version  of Number, the menu table in table options, there is an option that gives me the option: the Return key moves to next cell. I do not see this option in the new number. can you help me please?

    Hi silvano,
If you use a regular pattern when entering values, press enter (return) after entering the last value in a row. That will take you to the first Body Cell of the next row.
    Start in Cell B2
    1 Tab 2 Tab 3 Enter
    4 Tab 5 Tab 6 Enter
    7 Tab 8 Tab 9 Enter
Now you are ready to type into B5 .
Another way that some people find easier is to enter one column at a time
    Start at B2
    1 enter
    4 enter
    7 enter
    etc.
    Now start with C2.
Use whatever suits your work flow.
    Regards,
    Ian.

  • How can I return to a previous version of firefox?

At this moment I'm running Firefox 35.0.1, and I think I wish to return to whatever was the previous version. I think Firefox updated to this version several weeks ago, and since then strange things are happening.
First of all, I don not like the "manage search engine" set-up. It's different than the one I had a few weeks ago. Now there's nothing at all wrong with this new incarnation, I just don't like the drop down box, etc, (very small issue).
My real concern is, when I'm on a web page, (pick one), any web page, I'll begin hearing audio from some ad. I frantically search the page to see where I can stop the audio, never finding any option. I'll minimize my window, to see if something is behind that window, which I can shut off, but to no avail. This has happened 3 times in the last 48 hours.
Not earth shattering issues, I realize.
But the question would be, is there an easy way that one could return to the version prior to 35.0.1, without damaging anything, (I'm not extremely tech savy).
    Thanks in advance, etc.
    greg

Changing versions often does not cure problems, but it does increase risks.
    * ( Do Not ) [[Install an older version of Firefox]]
The search options will not be changed by downgrading, but there is a method of changing that without downgrading.
    * See Ed's [/questions/1044599#answer-685295]
I am not sure the changes in Firefox 35.0.1 would cause your audio issues
    * https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/35.0.1/releasenotes/
The first step in troubleshooting that may be to identify the tab or page involved, then try Firefox with only the newtab page and the problem page open.
IIRC Firefox is intended to continue streaming audio even if a tab does not have focus. That enables users to stream audio in the background whilst browsing. What you hear may be intended behaviour.

  • How can I return to the previous version?

''locking this thread which was started back in February about Firefox 26 / 27''
Yesterday, while trying to get rid of the uninvited AVG elements in my Mozilla opening page I some how installed the latest version of Mozilla which I really dislike. Given this is on my wife's computer while she is away and she does not like changes to her computer I would really appreciate it being returned to the previous version.
I also consider your instructions on how to do anything regarding setting up Mozilla as absolutely terribly written.

Your current level 29 is TERRIBLE on my iMac and I want to go back a level, until you fix it!!!! Help?????!!!!!
